  • For the purpose of improving the accuracy of Wide Area Differential GNSS (WA-DGNSS), estimation performance of ionospheric delay error which has a great impact on GPS error sources should be enhanced. This paper applied multi-constellation GNSS which represents GPS in USA, GLONASS in Russia, and Galileo in Europe to WA-DGNSS algorithm in order to improve performance of ionospheric delay estimation. Furthermore, we conducted simulation to analyze ionospheric delay estimation performance in Korean region by increasing the number of reference stations. Consequently, using multi-constellation GNSS to improve performance of ionospheric delay estimation is more effective than increasing the number of reference stations in spite of similar number of measurements which are in use for estimation. We expect this result can contribute to improvement for ionospheric delay estimation performance of single-frequency SBAS (Satellite Based Augmentation System) user.

  • The delay models for CMOS invertr presented so far predicted the delay time quite accurately whens input transition-time is very small. But the problem that the accuracy is inclined to decrease becomes apparent as input transition tiem increases. In this paper, a delay model for CMOS inverter is presented, which accuractely predicts the delay time even though input transition-time increases. To inverter must be included in modeling process because the main reason of inaccuracy as input transition tiem is the leakage current through the complementary MOS. For efficient modeling, this paper first models the MOSes with simple I-V charcteristic, with which both the pMOS and the nMOS are considered easily in calculating the inverter delay times. This resulting model needs few parameters and re-models each MOS effectively and simply evaluates output voltage to predict delay time, delay values obtained from this effectively and simply evaluates output voltage to predict delay time, delay values obtained from this model have been found to be within about 5% error rate of the SPICE results. The calculation time to predict the delay time with the model from this paper has the speed of more than 70times as fast as to the SPICE.

  • This paper presents a robust state observer design for a class of Lipschitz nonlinear systems with time delay and external disturbance. A sufficient conditions on the existence of the proposed observer are characterized by linear matrix inequalities. It is also shown that the proposed observer design can reduce the effect on the estimation error of external disturbance up to the prescribed level in spite of the existence of time delay. Finally, a numerical example is provided to verify the proposed design method.

  • A new algorithm based on the concept of prediction error minimization is suggested to estimate the time varying delay in discrete processes. In spite of the existence of the stochastic noise, this algorithm can estimate time varying delay accurately. Computation time of this algorithm is far less than that of the previous extended parameter methods. With the use of this algorithm, generalized minimum variance control shows good control behavior in simulations.

  • In this paper we consider a class of singularly perturbed system of delay differential equations of convection diffusion type with integral boundary conditions. A finite difference scheme on an appropriate piecewise Shishkin type mesh is suggested to solve the problem. We prove that the method is of almost first order convergent. An error estimate is derived in the discrete maximum norm. Numerical experiments support our theoretical results.

  • An improved nonlinear speed control of a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) is presented A quasi-linearized and decoupled model including the influence of parameter variations and speed measurement error on the nonlinear speed control of a PMSM is derived Using this model, to overcome the drawbacks of conventional nonlinear control scheme, the improved nonlinear control scheme which employs time delay control (TDC) scheme is proposed. To show the validity of the proposed control scheme, simulation studies are carried out and compared with the conventional control scheme.

  • In this paper, we consider the guaranteed cost filtering design method for time-varying delay system with parameter uncertainties by LMI(Linear Matrix Inequality) approach. The objective is to design a stable guaranteed cost filter which minimizes the guaranteed cost fo the closed loop systems in filtering error dynamics. The sufficient conditions for the existence of filter, the guaranteed cost filter design method, and th guaranteed cost upper bound are proposed by LMI technique in terms of all finding variables. Finally, we give an example to check the validity of the proposed method.

  • As the demand of high quality service in next generation wireless communication systems, a high performance of data transmission requires an increase of spectrum efficiency and an improvement of error performance in wireless communication systems. In this paper, we propose a multi-user multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system with cyclic delay diversity and block diagonalization procoding method to improve bit error rate (BER) performance with wireless local area network (WLAN) channel model C and D for 802.11n WLAN system. The results of mathlab simulation show the improvement of BER performance in 802.11n wireless indoor channel environment.

  • Through the low orbit GPS satellite a 3-dimensional real time position detection can be achieved anywhere. Utilizing the GPS satellite detection values an analysis of the varing characteristics of the iono- sphere can be achicved, and by calculating the correlation relationship of the position detection error and the ionospheric time delay characteristics, an advanced algorithm technique can be developed. Computer simulation of the developed algorithm for defining the correlation between the position detec- tion error and the varing ionospheric time delay characteristics has been proceeded. The results of simulation reveal the fact that the varing characteristics of the ionosphere nearly match the actual ionospheric time delay characteristics.

  • In an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing system, conventional interpolation techniques cannot correctly balance performance and overhead when estimating dynamic long-delay channels in single frequency networks (SFNs). In this study, classical filter analysis and design methods are employed to derive a complex interpolator for maximizing the resistible echo delay in a channel estimator on the basis of the correlation between frequency domain interpolating and time domain windowing. The coefficient computation of the complex interpolator requires a key parameter, i.e., channel length, which is obtained in the frequency domain with a tentative estimation scheme having low implementation complexity. The proposed complex adaptive interpolator is verified in a simulated digital video broadcasting for terrestrial/handheld receiver. The simulation results indicate that the designed channel estimator can not only handle SFN echoes with more than $200{\mu}s$ delay but also achieve a bit-error rate performance close to the optimum minimum mean square error method, which significantly outperforms conventional channel estimation methods, while preserving a low implementation cost in a short-delay channel.
