  • In this paper, the relationships between code-share networks and performances in airline industry were analyzed by using Social Network Analysis (SNA). We first analyzed the schedule data from OAG (Official Airline Guide) to obtain core-share information of airline industries. SNA was, then, applied to the code-share information. Finally, statistical analysis was conducted to analyze the relationships between code-share social networks and performances. The result shows that the size and out-degree centrality have relatively significant effects on the performance of airline industries, while in-degree and betweenness centrality has less significant effects.

  • A microblog is a service typically offered by online social networks, such as Twitter and Facebook. From the perspective of information dissemination, we define the concept behind a spreading matrix. A new WeiboRank algorithm for identification of key nodes in microblog networks is proposed, taking into account parameters such as a user's direct appeal, a user's influence region, and a user's global influence power. To investigate how measures for ranking influential users in a network correlate, we compare the relative influence ranks of the top 20 microblog users of a university network. The proposed algorithm is compared with other algorithms - PageRank, Betweeness Centrality, Closeness Centrality, Out-degree - using a new tweets propagation model - the Ignorants-Spreaders-Rejecters model. Comparison results show that key nodes obtained from the WeiboRank algorithm have a wider transmission range and better influence.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the topic trend of domestic simulation nursing education research using text network analysis(TNA). Methods: This study was conducted in four steps. TNA was performed using the NetMiner (version 4.4.1) program. Firstly, 245 articles from 4 databases (RISS, KCI, KISS, DBpia) published from 2008 to 2018, were collected. Secondly, keyword-forms were unified and representative words were selected. Thirdly, co-occurrence matrices of keywords with a frequency of 2 or higher were generated. Finally, social network-related measures-indices of degree centrality and betweenness centrality-were obtained. The topic trend over time was visualized as a sociogram and presented. Results: 178 author keywords were extracted. Keywords with high degree centrality were "Nursing student", "Clinical competency", "Knowledge", "Critical thinking", "Communication", and "Problem-solving ability." Keywords with high betweenness centrality were "CPR", "Knowledge", "Attitude", "Self-efficacy", "Performance ability", and "Nurse." Over time, the topic trends on simulation nursing education have diversified. For example, topics such as "Neonatal nursing", "Obstetric nursing", "Pediatric nursing", "Blood transfusion", "Community visit nursing", and "Core basic nursing skill" appeared. The core-topics that emerged only recently (2017-2018) were "High-fidelity", "Heart arrest", "Clinical judgment", "Reflection", "Core basic nursing skill." Conclusion: Although simulation nursing education research has been increasing, it is necessary to continue studies on integrated simulation learning designs based on various nursing settings. Additionally, in simulation nursing education, research is required not only on learner-centered educational outcomes, but also factors that influence educational outcomes from the perspective of the instructors.

  • In various disciplines, researchers, not single researchers, tend to cooperate to study the same topic. There are many studies to analyze the collaborative form of various researchers through the social network analysis method, but there are few such studies in the computer field. In this paper, we analyze the characteristics of network and various groups of researchers through the social network analysis technique of the co-authors of the Journal of Korea Institute of Information and Communication Engineering, and analyze the degree centrality, the between centrality and edge weight. As a result of the analysis, many groups were extracted from the co-author's network, but the top 20 groups accounted for more than 50% of the total, also, we could find a pair of researchers who do joint research with a very high frequency. These Co-author networks are expected to be the basis for in-depth research on the subject and direction of research through future researches.

  • This study presents a new method to evaluate patents by public R&D program using patent citation network analysis. I used forward citation, degree centrality, betweenness centrality and page rank as the dependent variables which represents the quality of patents. I used primary independent variable as a dummy of public R&D program and controlled patents characteristics, applicant characteristics, technological characteristics and year effect. The empirical result shows that the patents of public R&D program is superior to other patents in regard to the number of forward citation, the degree centrality, the betweenness centrality and the page rank. This empirical result implies that patents of public R&D program directly and effectively connects technologies. Also patents from public R&D program connects important technologies.

  • In various research fields, it is important to identify the trends and meaningful patterns in large volumes of text data. We examined the research trends and patterns in global journal articles related to aviation and airlines from 1997 to 2016 using keyword network analysis. Keyword network models were constructed, and centrality (degree and betweenness) analysis was performed using 25,959 articles from the Scopus database. The results suggested that the recent research trends in aviation and airlines could be quantitatively described through keyword network analysis. The engineering and social science fields were the most relevant fields with keywords related to aviation and airlines. In addition, it was shown that betweenness centrality increased with the degree centrality of keywords. The results of this study could be applied to establish policies and suggest further research topics in the field of aviation and airlines based on empirical data.

  • This study aims to analyze STEAM-related articles and to look into the trend of research to present implications for research directions in the future. To achieve the research purpose, the researcher searched by key words, 'STEAM' and 'Convergence Education' through the RISS. Subjects of analysis were titles of 181 articles in journal articles and conference papers published from 2011 through 2013. Through an analysis of the frequency of the texts that appeared in the titles of the papers, key words were selected, the co-occurrence matrix of the key words was established, and using network maps, degree centrality and betweenness centrality, and structural equivalence, a network text analysis was carried out. For the analysis, KrKwic, KrTitle, UCINET and NetMiner Program were used, and the results were as follows: in the result of the text frequency analysis, the key words appeared in order of 'program', 'development', 'base' and 'application'. Through the network among the texts, a network built up with core hubs such as 'program', 'development', 'elementary' and 'application' was found, and in the degree centrality analysis, 'program', 'elementary', 'development' and 'science' comprised key issues at a relatively high value, which constituted the pivot of the network. As a result of the structural equivalence analysis, regarding the types of their respective relations, it was analyzed that there was a similarity in four clusters such as the development of a program (1), analysis of effects (2) and the establishment of a theoretical base (1).
