The development of buoy type fish finder using LTE communication (LTE 통신을 이용한 부표형 어군탐지기 개발)

  • As a method to understand the ecological habits around the artificial reef, various reports such as fishing gear survey, diving, sound survey, underwater CCTV and camera, etc. are reported. Among them, the sound survey method is carried out by installing an acoustic system on the ship and can be investigated regardless of the marine environment such as time constraints and turbidity. Such method, however, takes a lot of manpower and time as the ship travels at a constant speed. Investigations around artificial reefs are being conducted in an artificial way, and a lot of time and labor are consumed as such. Maritime buoys have been operated for various purposes such as route signs, weather observation, marine environment monitoring and defense monitoring for navigation safety in the past, but studies on monitoring systems for ecological habits and distribution of fish using marine buoys are remarkably insufficient. Therefore, this study aims to develop a system that allows users to directly monitor fish group detector data by estimating the distribution of fish groups around artificial reefs and using wireless communication at sea. In order to confirm the suitability of the maritime buoy used in this study, it was operated to compare data using LTE-equipped buoys capable of wireless communication and a data logger-type system buoy. Data transmission of buoys capable of LTE communication was carried out in a 10-minute ON, 10-minute OFF method due to the limitation of the power supply capacity, and data of the data logger-type buoy received full data. We compared and analyzed the data received from the two fish detectors. It is expected that real-time monitoring of the wireless buoy detection device using LTE will be possible through future research.

  • Demand for new information services is ever increasing as information technology advances in an unprecedented pace. Capabilities of information technology to overcome the time and space limitations enables efficient storage and processing of a large volume of data shared by many users in geographically dispersed areas. As the users ask for more useful information services, it is necessary to develop information services tp meet the needs of users. Enhancing information services is also necessary to cope actively with the pressures to open the information service is also necessary to cope actively with the pressures to open the information and telecommunications market as the level of Korean information services industry is still in its infancy. Value Added Network(VAN) services have a tremendous growth potential and its economic and social impact would be great as the information society matures. This study suggests a direction for the development of value added and new-media services based on the survey of individual and business users of information services.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of members' perception of unit change management efforts on their emotional-organizational commitment during the military restructuring. The mediating effect of change acceptance of the members in this relationship is also studied. Currently, the military is seeking to restructure its military construct in order to actively cope with the rapidly changing security situation and the decrease in military service resources. If an organization fails to effectively manage its changes when undergoing restructuring, it is difficult to expect the success of organizational change due to its members' resistance to change. Therefore, this study suggested the effect of members' perception of personnel fairness and transformational leadership on their emotional-organizational commitment and the mediating role of the members' change acceptance in the relationship between them as the hypotheses. Survey results show that personnel justice and transformational leadership has a positive impact on the emotional-organizational commitment of the members, and that the change acceptance of the members partially mediates the relationship between them. By presenting the mediating effect of change acceptance with theoretical implications, the theory has been expanded. In practice, the change management activities for the restructuring of the military structure have been identified, and the effort for enhancing the change acceptance of the members is required to success on the organizational restructuring.

  • The improvement of the reliability of weapon systems and the reduction of the total life-cycle cost based on the improving of the DT&E system for Company Organized weapon systems research and development are urgently required. The major advanced countries operate test and evaluation centers for military (U.S.), manage a large scale organization of IPT personnel (England) or conduct management of DT&E through a third party organization (France). Based on a survey of experts, an improvement of the DT&E policy in terms of reliability and objectiveness is needed, and management through a third party national defense agency and civilian agency such as the Surion development case is required. In addition, although it appears that efficiency improves when management of DT&E is performed by national defence agencies rather than civilian agencies, it is necessary to proceed by selecting a civilian agency based on competition in the case that it is difficult to select a national defence agency.

  • Ammunition Demilitarization facility (ADF) should be set up the feasible goals and continue to operate, taking into account non-profit characteristics. However, due to the lack of performance measurement methods in ADF, which are essential to national policy at a significant cost each year, the reliability of the evaluation results can be insufficient. In this paper, the Balanced Score Card (BSC) method was applied that could be evaluated to reflect the financial and non-financial features. The relevant literature research and army regulations reflected the results of various interviews of the expert group. The extraction of success performance area in ADF was confirmed using the BSC method and the Decision Variable (DV) candidate was created to use regression for selecting the DV. Additionally, the key performance indicator was presented by verification the feasibility of content by conducting the survey of experts. The implications of this paper are as follows. First, the proposed BSC model was found to be suitable for practical use in ADF reflecting the non-profit characteristics. Second, accurate evaluation of ADF can contribute to long-term development of ADF. Finally, it can be applied to the management process of the other military sector, so it can be expected to play a role in providing basic data and spreading it to other areas.

The Development and Validation of the Workplace Bullying Bystander Behavior Scale (직장 내 괴롭힘 주변인 행동 척도 개발 및 타당화 연구)

  • This study was conducted with the aim of developing and validating a measure of the workplace bullying bystander behavior. For the purpose, items were developed by referring to previous studies related to workplace bullying, and behavior subtypes were defined as pro-bullying, defending, and bystander behaviors. After confirming the content validity with the help of experts, a total of 31 preliminary items were composed. The final 26 items were selected by conducting an exploratory factor analysis and verifying the validity and reliability of the scale with a survey of 288 office workers who have directly or indirectly witnessed workplace bullying over the past three years. In this process, it was confirmed that defense behavior was distinguished into two types: Active and supportive. Confirmatory factor analysis was conducted with data from 518 office workers who have directly or indirectly witnessed workplace bullying over the past year, and the validity and reliability of the developed scale were confirmed. As a result of comparing the competing models to reconfirm the subtypes, it was confirmed again that active defense behavior and supportive defense behavior were distinguished. The criterion-related validity of all subtypes was confirmed by setting the criterion variables for workplace bullying behavior, altruistic behavior, pro-social behavior, fear of intervention, moral disengagement, guilt, and moral identity. Based on the result of this study, follow-up research tasks related to workplace bullying bystander behavior scale were suggested and the methods to prevent and intervene in workplace bullying while utilizing workplace bullying bystander behaviors were discussed.

  • To evaluate companies that participated in the defense R&D project, 27 variables are chosen through literature survey, feature analysis of defense R&D and interviews with military experts. 17 variables are selected after factor analysis which is applied to reduce the number of variables and to detect structure in the relationships among variables, that is to classify variables using Likert-type scales. And then 17 variables are prioritized by AHP (analytic hierarchy process) method. It is shown that communication skill & cooperation strategy, level of technology, possession of needs technology have high priorities. However, protection plan of technology leakage, expertise of subcontractors, software development plan have low priorities.

  • The effectiveness of joint operations depends on Jointness based on interoperable elements of participating forces. Many specialists have actively done research studies on interoperability measurement models with the goal of straightforward way of measuring and then have improved the interoperability of elements based on DOTMLPF-p (Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership & Education, Personnel, Facilities, Policy) in the forces. After the survey of 16 interoperability measurement models, we have concluded that most of them applied only a small portion of DOTMLPF-p elements explicitly or all portions of DOTMLPF-p elements implicitly. In this study, we propose a conceptual interoperability measurement model for applying all DOTMLPF-p elements explicitly. And it can evaluate not only the level of interoperability among forces but also level of jointness for joint operations.

Analysis of Domestic Security Solution Market Trend using Big Data (빅데이터를 활용한 국내 보안솔루션 시장 동향 분석)

  • To use the system safely in cyberspace, you need to use a security solution that is appropriate for your situation. In order to strengthen cyber security, it is necessary to accurately understand the flow of security from past to present and to prepare for various future threats. In this study, information security words of security/hacking news of Naver News which is reliable by using text mining were collected and analyzed. First, we checked the number of security news articles for the past seven years and analyzed the trends. Second, after confirming the security/hacking word rankings, we identified major concerns each year. Third, we analyzed the word of each security solution to see which security group is interested. Fourth, after separating the title and the body of the security news, security related words were extracted and analyzed. The fifth confirms trends and trends by detailed security solutions. Lastly, annual revenue and security word frequencies were analyzed. Through this big data news analysis, we will conduct an overall awareness survey on security solutions and analyze many unstructured data to analyze current market trends and provide information that can predict the future.

A Survey of Decentralized Finance(DeFi) based on Blockchain

  • Blockchain technology began in 2008 when an unidentified person named Satoshi Nakamoto proposed a cryptocurrency called Bitcoin. Satoshi Nakamoto had distrust of the existing financial system and wanted to implement a financial system that is robust against hacking or mannipulation without a middleman such as a bank through blockchain technology. Satoshi proposed a blockchain as a technology to prevent the creation of the bitcoin and forging of transactions, and through this, the functions of issuance, transaction, and verification of currency were implemented. Since then, Ethereum, a cryptocurrency that can implement the smart contract on the blockchain, has been developed, allowing financial products that require complex contracts such as deposits, loans, insurance, and derivatives to be brought into the area of cryptocurrency. In addition, it is expanding the possibility of substituting products provided by financial institutions through combination with real assets. These applications are defined as Decentralized Finance (DeFi). This paper was prepared to understand the overall technical understanding of DeFi and to introduce the services currently in operation. First, the technologies and ecosystems that implement the overall DeFi are explained, and then the representative DeFi services are categorized by feature and described.
