This paper proposes a method for constructing and verifying datasets used in deep learning technology, to prevent safety accidents in automated construction machinery or autonomous vehicles. Although open datasets for developing image recognition technologies are challenging to meet requirements desired by users, this study proposes the interface of virtual simulators to facilitate the creation of training datasets desired by users. The pixel-level training image dataset was verified by creating scenarios, including various road types and objects in a virtual environment. Detecting an object from an image may interfere with the accurate path determination due to occlusion areas covered by another object. Thus, we construct a database, for developing an occlusion area detection algorithm in a virtual environment. Additionally, we present the possibility of its use as a deep learning dataset to calculate a grid map, that enables path search considering occlusion areas. Custom datasets are built using the RDBMS system.

With the recent development of deep learning technology, the areas of recommendation systems have also diversified. This paper studied algorithms to improve the learning rate and studied the significance results according to words through comparison with the performance characteristics of the Word2Vec model. The problem recommendation algorithm was implemented with the values expressed through the reflection of meaning and similarity test between texts, which are characteristics of the Word2Vec model. Through Word2Vec's learning results, problem recommendations were conducted using text similarity values, and problems with high similarity can be recommended. In the experimental process, it was seen that the accuracy decreased with the quantitative amount of data, and it was confirmed that the larger the amount of data in the data set, the higher the accuracy.

The program advantage the efficiency of YOLO to enable fast and accurate object detection, providing information about bounding boxes. Additionally, it performs precise segmentation using the functionalities of Mask R CNN, allowing users to accurately distinguish and edit objects within images. The QT interface ensures an intuitive and user-friendly environment for program control and enhancing accessibility. Through experiments and evaluations, our proposed system has been demonstrated to be effective in various scenarios. This program provides convenience and powerful image processing and editing capabilities to both beginners and experts, smoothly integrating computer vision technology. This paper contributes to the growth of the computer vision application field and showing the potential to integrate various image processing algorithms on a user-friendly platform
In this paper, we proposed a deep learning based character recognition system through virtual data generation. In order to secure the learning data that takes the largest weight in supervised learning, virtual data was created. Also, after creating virtual data, data generalization was performed to cope with various data by using augmentation parameter. Finally, the learning data composition generated data by assigning various values to augmentation parameter and font parameter. Test data for measuring the character recognition performance was constructed by cropping the text area from the actual image data. The test data was augmented considering the image distortion that may occur in real environment. Deep learning algorithm uses YOLO v3 which performs detection in real time. Inference result outputs the final detection result through post-processing.

The purpose of this study is to develop a system for predicting students' collaborative problem solving ability based on the ICT factors of PISA 2015 that affect collaborative problem solving ability. The PISA 2015 computer-based collaborative problem-solving capability evaluation included 5,581 students in Korea. As a research method, correlation analysis was used to select meaningful variables. And the collaborative problem solving ability prediction model was created by using the deep learning method. As a result of the model generation, we were able to predict collaborative problem solving ability with about 95% accuracy for the test data set. Based on this model, a collaborative problem solving ability prediction system was designed and implemented. This research is expected to provide a new perspective on applying big data and artificial intelligence in decision making for ICT input and use in education.
Text classification is one of the text mining technologies that classifies a given textual document into its appropriate categories and is used in various fields such as spam email detection, news classification, question answering, emotional analysis, and chat bot. In general, the text classification system utilizes machine learning algorithms, and among a number of algorithms, naïve Bayes and support vector machine, which are suitable for text data, are known to have reasonable performance. Recently, with the development of deep learning technology, several researches on applying deep neural networks such as recurrent neural networks (RNN) and convolutional neural networks (CNN) have been introduced to improve the performance of text classification system. However, the current text classification techniques have not yet reached the perfect level of text classification. This paper focuses on the fact that the text data is expressed as a vector only with the word dimensions, which impairs the semantic information inherent in the text, and proposes a neural network architecture based upon the semantic tensor space model.
This paper presents the design and implementation of a deep learning-based automated weed detector on onion fields. The system is based on a Convolutional Neural Network that specifically selects proposed regions. The detector initiates training with a dataset taken from agricultural onion fields, after which candidate regions with very high probability of suspicion are considered weeds. Non-maximum suppression helps preserving the less overlapped bounding boxes. The dataset collected from different onion farms is evaluated with the proposed classifier. Classification accuracy is about 99% for the dataset, indicating the proposed method's superior performance with regard to weed detection on the onion fields.
Image-based gender classification and age estimation of human are classic problems in computer vision. Most of researches in this field focus just only one task of either gender classification or age estimation and most of the reported methods for each task focus on accuracy performance and are not computationally light. Thus, running both tasks together simultaneously on low cost mobile or embedded systems with limited cpu processing speed and memory capacity are practically prohibited. In this paper, we propose a novel light-weight gender classification and age estimation method based on ensemble multitasking deep learning with light-weight processing neural network architecture, which processes both gender classification and age estimation simultaneously and in real-time even for embedded systems. Through experiments over various well-known datasets, it is shown that the proposed method performs comparably to the state-of-the-art gender classification and/or age estimation methods with respect to accuracy and runs fast enough (average 14fps) on a Jestson Nano embedded board.

With the recent surge in YouTube usage, there has been a proliferation of user-generated videos where individuals evaluate cosmetics. Consequently, many companies are increasingly utilizing evaluation videos for their product marketing and market research. However, a notable drawback is the manual classification of these product review videos incurring significant costs and time. Therefore, this paper proposes a deep learning-based cosmetics search algorithm to automate this task. The algorithm consists of two networks: One for detecting candidates in images using shape features such as circles, rectangles, etc and Another for filtering and categorizing these candidates. The reason for choosing a Two-Stage architecture over One-Stage is that, in videos containing background scenes, it is more robust to first detect cosmetic candidates before classifying them as specific objects. Although Two-Stage structures are generally known to outperform One-Stage structures in terms of model architecture, this study opts for Two-Stage to address issues related to the acquisition of training and validation data that arise when using One-Stage. Acquiring data for the algorithm that detects cosmetic candidates based on shape and the algorithm that classifies candidates into specific objects is cost-effective, ensuring the overall robustness of the algorithm.
As technology advances, the need for enhanced preparedness against cyber-attacks becomes an increasingly critical problem. Therefore, it is imperative to consider various circumstances and to prepare for cyber-attack strategic technology. This paper proposes a method to solve network security problems by applying reinforcement learning to cyber-security. In general, traditional static cyber-security methods have difficulty effectively responding to modern dynamic attack patterns. To address this, we implement cyber-attack scenarios such as 'Tiny Alpha' and 'Small Alpha' and evaluate the performance of various reinforcement learning methods using Network Attack Simulator, which is a cyber-attack simulation environment based on the gymnasium (formerly Open AI gym) interface. In addition, we experimented with different RL algorithms such as value-based methods (Q-Learning, Deep-Q-Network, and Double Deep-Q-Network) and policy-based methods (Actor-Critic). As a result, we observed that value-based methods with discrete action spaces consistently outperformed policy-based methods with continuous action spaces, demonstrating a performance difference ranging from a minimum of 20.9% to a maximum of 53.2%. This result shows that the scheme not only suggests opportunities for enhancing cybersecurity strategies, but also indicates potential applications in cyber-security education and system validation across a large number of domains such as military, government, and corporate sectors.
