Decision analysis has becomes an important technique for decision making in the face of uncertainty. It is characterized by enumerating all the available courses of action, identifying the payoffs for all possible outcomes, and quantifying the subjective probabilities for the all possible random events. When the data are available, decision analysis becomes a powerful tool for determining an optimal course of action. In this paper, we use the analytic hierarchy process in weights calculating. For the purpose of making optimal decision, the data of three different smart phones models are used.

In this paper we deal with the logistics brokerage process in which a logistics agent intermediates between vehicle owners and shippers for matching empty vehicles and freights. Based on the Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) methodology, the proposed agent system matches the most preferred empty vehicle to the shipper and the most preferred freight to the vehicle owner. In the proposed agent system, an MCDM based sensitivity analysis is also used for supporting decision makers under negotiations. Among various MCDM methodologies, Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is utilized in this paper. Although AHP is one of the most popular MCDM methodologies, AHP needs a number of pair-wise comparisons for assessing alternatives and hence may give excessive decision making burden to the decision makers. In this paper, in order to reduce the decision making burden, a preference function based estimation method is proposed. We can expect that the MCDM based logistics brokerage agent can be used as an efficient and effective tool for e-logistics marketplaces on the internet.

This study aims to examine the usefulness on the Evaluation Process for the Feasibility & Priority of A Certain Public Projects. and the Methodology used AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) which used pairwise comparisons of the alternatives and criteria for solving discrete alternative multicriteria decision problems. In this paper, we present a similar phenomenon, rank reversal problem, when we apply the AHP to group decision making process. The problem is identified by an example problem in that the previous rank order of Public Projects choices. we also present three different methods to prevent the undesirable characteristic of the original AHP in appling to Decision Making Process.

This study was analyzed and researched into each gradual properties of housing owner's decision making, for preservation of traditional scenery and search for the way its succession, on the basis of search of the rural area housing owner and the virtual research data. As a result of this study, public company should care and advertise significance of traditional scenery succession to housing owners and architectural planning offices, because the model what public company has been developed and distributed should not be ignored influence on the process of housing owner's decision making.

It is critical to select an appropriate technology valuation method when the characteristics of a technology and valuation environment are variable. To ensure high quality decision making when selecting a technology valuation method, it is necessary to understand the principles of a good technology valuation method, and define and apply a decision making theory for selecting an optimal method. The authors propose that Axiomatic Design Principles can be applied as a decision making theory. In order to apply Axiomatic Design for this problem, this paper describes four domains(customer, functional, physical, and process domain) and four axioms(independence, information, cost, time axiom) for the decision making process for the optimal technology valuation method. The result of this study will contribute flexibility to the dynamic technology valuation process.

It is the purpose of this study that propose method to estimate weights of decision-making for design concepts considering characteristics of places. In order to acquire these weights of concepts, the investigation with questionnaire by AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) is employed as a mean. Targets of this investigation was 63 respondents which were graduate students(21) and experts of design field(42). As a result, we could find differences between these weights of the relative concepts and know the differences in the weights of design concepts as characteristics of places were reflected. These weights of concepts will be take opinions about concept from design-related members into consideration. Therefore, In design process, the weights of design concepts will help for designer to verify the concepts in design initially, and finally be used by a criteria in decision-making. The Weights of decision-making for design concepts as a result of this study will be used as a guideline for the systematical and conceptual approach in design practice.

Presently, Analytic Network Process which evaluates man's intention and offers decision-making support is capturing the spotlight. It originates in the ability of Analytic Network Process to treat various decision-making support system. However, no detailed reference is available when dealing with the group case. This paper examines the technique, which can also cope with the group decision-making support system, and describes the validity of the technique. A characteristic feature of the proposed technique is that it can detect a group's intention in a given section, and it decomposes the sectional supermatrix into a small supermatrix and a large one. A general supermatrix treats the convergence value by taking the limiting process method of the power of an evaluation value. On the other hand, when a supermatrix has nonnegative value, it can easily be solved by the eigenvector method. The decomposition of the supermatrix has been considered in this work.

This research paper describes a complex and vague settings in which organization makes a decision and explains a role of decision maker's learning process. The original paper, written by Cohen, March, Olsen in 1972, said that all members of organization depended on the technology taken through trials and errors, which is the 'learning' process literally. But they intended to exclude the learning process in their simulation model because their PORTRAN model couldn't replicate the learning concept. As a result, they couldn't explain how all agents of garbage can simulation model resolve the problem dynamically. To overcome this original paper's limitations, we try to rebuild a learning process simulation model using by system dynamics approach that can capture the linkage between organization leanings and agents-based decision-makings. Our learning simulation results reveal two points. First, decision maker's leanings process improves the efficiency of decision making in complex situation. Second, group learning shows a superior efficiency to an individual learning because group members share organizational memory and energy.

The purpose of this study is to clarify the concept and construct of the problem recognition stage in consumer decision making process of apparel Purchase. This study was supplemented by the theoretical study and field interviews. 40 women were interviewed on their apparel purchase situation to identify problem recognition process. As a result, the concept of problem recognition in apparel purchase is the perceived difference between the ideal state of apparel affairs and the actual situation sufficient to arouse and activate the decision making process. And the problem recognition stage in apparel purchase is constituted of the following steps: gestation, categorization, problem definition, and purchase intention formation. In most cases, these four steps existed, but in some cases several steps were deleted or condensed.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the affecting factors on employed mens' retirement and reemployment decision making. The focus was on the process of employed mens' decision on retirement and their reemployment decision after retirement from present job. The major findings were as follows ; First, the employed men who had a retirement plan were having more household income, more household net asset, more savings and investment for elderly life, and more positive attitude toward retirement. Second, the major factors affecting on having retirement plan or not were employed mens' age, household income, expected income after retirement, savings and investment for elderly life, job, and attitude toward retirement. Third, the major affecting factors on expected retirement age were employed mens' age, health status, job security, and attitude toward retirement. Forth, the employed mens' reemployment decision was affected from their household income, expected income after retirement, pension ownership, and attitude toward retirement. From the findings, it can be concluded that the employed mens' age, economic status, and attitude toward retirement played a important role in the process of retirement and reemployment decision making.
