전략의사결정지원시스템 개발을 위한 이론적 프레임워크에 대한 연구 (A Theoretical Framework of Strategic Decision Making Supporting Systems)

  • 과거에는 경영의사결정에 적절한 정보를 적시에 제공할 수 없기 때문에 불확실한 경영을 했으며 경영자는 주관적인 경험과 판단 등에 의지하였다. 정보기술의 발달과 더불어 발전한 정보시스템과 기술은 비즈니스 운영면에서 고도의 효율성과 생산성을 달성하기 위하여 관리자가 활용할 수 있는 가장 중요한 도구 중에 속한다. 이것의 효과는 비즈니스 실무와 관리행태의 변화가 동반되었을때 더욱 크게 나타난다. 본 연구에서는 기업의 전략적 의사결정에 필요한 문제를 해결하기 위하여 정보기술을 활용하여 필요한 정보를 획득하고 문제해결 방법론을 시뮬레이션 하여 객관적이고 정형화된 경영의사결정을 지원하는 시스템을 개발하기위한 기능요소 및 솔루션을 구조화하였다. 본 연구에서 제안하는 전략의사결정지원 시스템은 기업경영 지원기술에 관련된 것으로 IT기술을 활용하여 경영의사결정에서 요구되는 전략의사결정 문제에 있어서 최적의 시나리오를 선택하도록 하여 신뢰성 있는 기업경영에 도움을 줄 수 있는 시스템이다. 전략의사결정시스템은 개별사업 시뮬레이션과 전사사업 시뮬레이션, 전사사업 포트폴리오 관리 등 크게 세 가지 기능부문으로 나누어 볼 수 있다. 본 시스템은 객관적이고 정형화된 컨설팅 결과를 제공함으로써 신뢰성을 보장할 수 있고, 급변하는 경영 여건에 효율적으로 대응할 수 있는 유용한 효과를 기대할 수 있다.

Improving the Decision-Making Process in the Higher Learning Institutions via Electronic Records Management System Adoption

  • Electronic Records Management System (ERMS) is a computer program or set of applications that is utilized for keeping up to date records along with their storage. ERMS has been extensively utilized for enhancing the performance of academic institutions. The system assists in the planning and decision-making processes, which in turn enhances the competencies. However, although ERMS is significant in supporting the process of decision-making, the majority of organizations have failed to take an initiative to implement it, taking into account that are some implementing it without an appropriate framework, and thus resulted in the practice which does not meet the accepted standard. Therefore, this study identifies the factors influencing the adoption of ERMS among employees of HLI in Yemen and the role of such adoption in the decision-making process, using the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) along with Technology, Organization and Environment (TOE) as the underpinning theories. The study conducts a cross-sectional survey with a questionnaire as the technique for data collection, distributed to 364 participants in various Yemeni public Higher Learning Institutions (HLI). Using AMOS as a statistical method, the findings revealed there are significant and positive relationships between technology factors (effort expectancy, performance expectancy, IT infrastructure and security), organizational factors (top management support, financial support, training, and policy),environmental factors (competitiveness pressure, facilitating conditions and trust) and behavioral intention to adopt ERMS, which in return has a significant relationship with the process of decision-making in HLI. The study also presents a variety of theoretical and empirical contributions that enrich the body of knowledge in the field of technology adoption and the electronic record's domain.

Development of an Automatic System for Feasibility Studies on Transport Investment

  • New transport technologies have been rapidly developed and various transport systems are ready to introduce. However, there no exists effective decision making tools for pre-feasibility studies on transport systems. The pre-feasibility studies should provide reliable solutions about whether a certain transport system is feasible or not by cost-benefit analysis and effectiveness test of enhancing regional economy. This study introduces the smart transport investment/information system (SMARTIS) for supporting decision making with ease, fast and reliable methods. The SMARTIS incorporates travel demand estimates into the process of feasibility studies with automatic data processing methods to give reliable solutions quickly. The SMARTIS is expected to be informative for transit agencies, planners, and operators.

동시공학에서의 조립을 위한 설계(DFA) 지원 시스템 개발 (Development of Support System of Design for Assembly (DFA) in Concurrent Engineering)

  • This paper presents a new DFA methodology to estimate the standard assembly time and evaluate the assemblablity of a product. The assembly time is estimated with some decision and influencing factors of assembly using motion analysis. The assemblability is evaluated using weights of the decision and influencing factors and assembly difficulty scores, and the tables that include the time and score of assembly are suggested. Finally, a new DFA system supporting the DFA is implemented to help designers to analyze the product during the design process in concurrent engineering.

  • The traditional AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) is to evaluate subjectively the alternatives in the view point of each of criteria and has been widely used at the fields of real world application. The AHP has some drawbacks that makes it difficult to keep the consistency of decision makers' input and take too long to get accurate results because of requiring lots of pairwise comparison between criteria and alternatives. This research is to propose and develop a Hybrid-AHP system for complementing the critical points of traditional AHP methodologies. This system gets the quantitative information as well as qualitative inputs as the comparative ones between criteria and alternatives. We use the input as various type of information such as quantitative values, 9-scale ratings, and fuzzy-based inputs. Finally, we applied the system to the case of choosing strategic industries. The case study have shown the use of various input methods saves processing time, and reduces the input burden of users.

  • For planning and developing rural regions, it is very important to understand and utilize regional characteristics including social, demographic, and economic aspects. The purpose of this study is to find effective analysis techniques and provide a procedure design for mining regional characteristics in South Korea through reviewing and analyzing 41 related studies. The engaged research methods can be classified into five categories (PCA+CA, PCA, CA, GIS, and PCA+GIS) with the combination of three methodologies: principal component analysis (PCA), cluster analysis (CA), and geographical information system (GIS). The combination of PCA and CA occupied about 40 % of research methods used in related studies. The analysis tool of Korean Rural Information Supporting System (KRISS) is designed based on the outcomes of this study and applied to classify the regional capacity of agriculture using agricultural census data (2000) for evaluating its applicability.

  • The widespread of IT technology caused a remarkable change in many industries and the construction industry is also one of them being influenced in the form of CIC(Computer Integrated Construction) and BIM(Building Information Modeling). Construction projects have many participants from various disciplines involved throughout the entire process. Therefore the success of the project greatly depend on the efficiency of decision-making using the information generated from each process stage. Looking from this aspect, the greatest potential value lies in the planning and pre-design stage when considering the construction life cycle. In this paper, we propose a project on developing a 3D object oriented simulation system for supporting the pre design phase. We define the needs for such system through previous case studies and suggest a to be process model. Finally we anticipate the effects that the project will eventually contribute to the construction industry.

  • This paper deals with the case study of the establishment of decision supporting system in shipbuilding industory. Facts or information of shipbuilding, sales, finance, production strategic planning in shipbuilding industry are considered. General transportation model for shipyard production schedule is formulated, and shipbuilding demand forecasting scheme is also introduced. This paper shows the several methods of DSS in shipbuilding industry. But production schedule strategic planning system by OR technique is emphasized. For the realization of DSS in shipbuilding industry, another efforts (data gathering and programming etc.) should be given on the basis of these methods.

  • In this study, we have developed algorithms to find more effective solutions for compensatory decision-making problems in the case of the decision maker with fuzziness which can occur in a real world fuzzy environment. We have applied the algorithm to the problems related to the structural reform of the capital and the number of workers in the local industry. We have selected Taegu city for this study. In this study, we have determined the capital and the number of workers, satisfying maximum productivity and minimum air and water pollution under the constraints such as capital-labor ratio, the demand for land and water and the fluctuation of the capital and the number of workers. The determined capital and the number of workers could improve the competitive advantage of Taegu city and could be utilized as criteria for the compilation of the budget, determination of policy for supporting plan of companies, the forecast of number of workers and the training plan of workers.

  • 이 토지 컨설팅 정보 시스템(Land Consulting Information System)은 토지에 건축, 형질 변경 등 개발행위와 관련하여 구입토지의 선정에서부터 개발의사결정에 이르는 여러가지 토지법률정보, 요구토지의 입지조건정보, 개발목적에 부합하는 토지의 분포정보, 매매나 세입 관련 부동산 정보 등 사람들의 다양한 요구조건과 의사결정 요소들을 컴퓨터 시스템을 통해 질의하고 검색, 분석함으로서 경제적이고 신속한 정보의 취득과 이를 통한 신뢰성 있는 개발과 구입의 의사결정 정보를 제공(지원)하기위한 목적에서 개발되었다. 시스템 기능의 인지도를 향상시키기 위해 "ALGOSA" 라 별칭의 로고를 부여하였으며, 일반 개인은 물론 현존하는 전국의 수만 업체에 이르는 부동산사무소(공인 중개사), 측량설계사무소, 건축설계사무소, 전문토지개발회사 등 컨설팅 업체를 중심으로 시스템 보급의 필요성이 기대되며, 나아가 지방자치단체의 개발관련 인허가부서에서도 이 시스템을 도입함으로서 개발행위 인허가 토지의 체계적 관리는 물론 불법 개발행위 단속과 객관적인 공시지가부여 기준제시를 위한 실제 토지이용 정보제공 등 폭넓은 시스템 도입의 효과가 기대된다.
