It is critical to select an appropriate technology valuation method when the characteristics of a technology and valuation environment are variable. To ensure high quality decision making when selecting a technology valuation method, it is necessary to understand the principles of a good technology valuation method, and define and apply a decision making theory for selecting an optimal method. The authors propose that Axiomatic Design Principles can be applied as a decision making theory. In order to apply Axiomatic Design for this problem, this paper describes four domains(customer, functional, physical, and process domain) and four axioms(independence, information, cost, time axiom) for the decision making process for the optimal technology valuation method. The result of this study will contribute flexibility to the dynamic technology valuation process.

In this paper, we study the relationship between vacancy duration and information items of a job posting by using generalized linear models and a decision tree analysis w.r.t. the three factors such as company characteristics, employment conditions, and constraints. The results indicate that the employment conditions rather than company characteristics are more influential to the vacancy duration. These effects are presumed to be based on the complex relations between the decisions of the employers and the job seekers. And in this paper we suggest the need to provide personalized and profiled labor market information tailored for a quick decision to job seekers and employers. Policy implication is that since employer's decision affects the vacation duration, employers may had better to provide a comprehensive labour market information including supply and demand of the required skills in order to reduce the time for judgment on the cost-effectiveness.

Economic Lot size decision is studied on this thesis foe the muti-product small batch production system. Even though economic lot size decision has been studied for the MRP system. this could be applied at the industry under the multi-product small batch production system because of very complicate and manager's lack of understand. Therefore, this technique is applied at the industry in order to minimize ordering cosy based on optimal quantity and period, and holding cost according to optimize inventory level under the muti-product small batch production system. After that, lot size decision technique is compared with lot size decision technique which has been used for analyzing and emphasizing productivity

In this paper, benchmark tests of Rapid Prototyping(RP) are presented to evaluate characteristics of various RP Systems and Processes, and several decision-support systems are developed to select RP Machine/Process suitable to user's requirements. Results of the RP benchmark tests are applied to the recently developed RP machines for the purpose of analyzing attributes such as dimensional accuracy, surface roughness, build cost, build time, and etc. Decision-making support systems are also developed, which contain not only new LCE (Linear Confidence Equation) algorithm but also modified PRES and MDS algorithm. Those algorithms are proved to be effective in that reasonably acceptable results are obtained on several cases of different inputs.

The purpose of this study is to verify the difference between the importance level and the satisfaction level of each purchase decision factor of smart phone. Through review of literatures about purchase decision factors, we have derived about attributes of 6 factors. T-test, importance performance analysis (IPA), and regression analysis were conducted to identify priorities among the details of the importance and satisfaction and to analyze the effect relationship between satisfaction of each factor and overall satisfaction. Looking at a few high-priority order, battery capacity, memory capacity, fast and accurate repair, the adequacy of the repair cost, and processor in the top five factors were shown to be an important factor when purchasing smart phones. The results of this study can provide the marketing strategies for smart phone suppliers. In addition, these results imply what factors of smart phones should be more considered before launching into chinese smart phone market.

Along with the legalization of balcony extension, numerous contractors have been suggesting designs for apartment houses based on the residents desire for balcony extension. It has been investigated that most residents prefer the balcony extension due to the increase in space. However, numerous residents have been experiencing problems occurred due to the extension such as air conditioning and heating cost and sound insulation problems. Therefore, this study aims to suggest an objective decision making tool for the residents that aids the residents decision making on balcony extension considering pros and cons of balcony extension.

본 논문에서는 HEVC(High Efficiency Video Coding)을 위한 고속 부호화 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안 방법은 HEVC 의 화면내 부호화 과정에서 주변 부호화 모드 정보인 MPM(Most Probable Mode)과 RMD(Rough Mode Decision) 과정의 결과로 얻어지는 후보 모드들의 상관관계를 이용하여 높은 계산 복잡도를 가지는 RDO(Rate-Distortion Optimization) 과정이 고려하는 후보의 개수를 줄여 전체 부호화기의 부호화 복잡도를 낮춘다. 실험 결과에서는 제안 방법이 약 0.29% BD-rate 의 부호화 손실만으로 20.43%의 부호화 복잡도를 감소시켰음을 보인다.

Financial ratio indicators of the 46 sample hospitals provided by the Korea Health Industry Development Institute, together with the survey data responded by the 57 sample hospitals, were analysed to identify the characteristics of the red-figured hospitals' financial structure, financial operational efficiency and management decision-making behavior, The financial characteristics identified through the analysis include high dependency to liabilities, high salary expenses and overhead costs, low profitability of the unduly large amount of fixed assets, and low managerial efficieny of inventory. The hospitals, in face of the IMF economic impasse, took the necessary decision-making and counter measures to cut down salary expenses, to increase the number of patient and medical revenue, and to reduce investment to fixed assets. Based on these findings this study suggested that the hospitals should take more active cost containment measures, financial structural reorganization, and developoment of the strategies that can contribute to increase of the number of patient and medical revenue and that do not. require much capital funds.

A mobile terminal will expect a number of handoffs within its call duration. In the event of a mobile call, when a mobile node moves from one cell to another, it should connect to another access point within its range. In case there is a lack of support of its own network, it must changeover to another base station. In the event of moving on to another network, quality of service parameters need to be considered. In our study we have used the Markov decision process approach for a seamless handoff as it gives the optimum results for selecting a network when compared to other multiple attribute decision making processes. We have used the network cost function for selecting the network for handoff and the connection reward function, which is based on the values of the quality of service parameters. We have also examined the constant bit rate and transmission control protocol packet delivery ratio. We used the policy iteration algorithm for determining the optimal policy. Our enhanced handoff algorithm outperforms other previous multiple attribute decision making methods.

이 연구에서는 도시공원의 입지결정에 관련된 행정 업무의 효율성과 의사결정의 질향상을 위하여, GIS와 의사결정 분석기법이 통합된 의사결정 지원시스템을 구축하고자 하였다. 이 시스템은 현황분석, 대안생성, 대안평가에 이르는 일련의 과정을 일관성있는 시스템환경 하에 통합하여 효율적인 관리과정을 제공하고 있다. 도시공원 입지결정을 위하여 형평성, 효율성, 수혜인구, 동별공원비율, 지가, 지장물, 녹지연계성 등의 기준이 적용되었고, 단계별 특성에 따라 MAUT, AHP, ELECTRE 등의 다양한 의사결정 분석기법들이 접목되었으며, GIS를 이용한 다양한 공간분석 기능과 의사결정 과정을 시각적으로 확인할 수 있는 기능들이 개발되었다. 이 시스템은 향후 도시공원 관리기능을 포함하여 종합적인 도시공원 관리시스템으로 발전될 수 있으며, 연구과정에서 개발된 방법론들은 도시공원뿐 아니라 기타 도시시설의 입지결정에도 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
