전지전도성 시멘트모르타르의 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Properties of Electrical Conductive Cement Mortar)

  • Concrete has been used for many years as a composite material that has excellent mechanical properties and durability for construction. However, concrete ia a poor electrical conductor, especially under dry conditions. Concrete that is excellent in both mechanical and electrical conductivity properties may have important applications in the electrical, electronic, military and construction industry (e.g for de-icing road from snow). The purpose of this investigation is to improve the electrical conductive of cement mortar preparared with graphite as filler. From the test result, as the ratio of graphite/cement increased, fluidity, fluidity and strength decreased but resistivity decreased. The resistivity of electrical conductive cement mortar is effect by water/cement ratio and water content of specimen. From this study, it is enough to assure the use of graphite as a conductive filler for electrical conducive cement mortar.

재령에 따른 플라이 애쉬 콘크리트의 염소이온 확산특성 (Chloride Ion Diffusion Characteristics of Fly ash. Concrete with Age)

  • One of the major degradation processes of reinforced concrete (RC) structure is corrosion of reinforced steel due to chloride attack. Severe environments, such as marine environment and exposure to de-icing salts, could accelerate the steel corrosion of RC structures through the chloride ion intrusion into concrete. In order to delay this degradation process, several kinds of admixtures have been used in concrete mix. In this study, effective diffusion coefficient of chloride ion ($D_{eff}$) and total passed charge of concrete with and without fly ash were measured using electrical method. It is found that fly ash concrete has much less chloride ion coefficient than ordinary concrete at later age. By analyzing the test results, $D_{eff}$ at 28 and 90 days was obtained as a function of water-binder ratio (W/B) and an equation for predicting $D_{eff}$ with age was proposed considering the decreasing rate of $D_{eff}$.

From the test result, as the content of electrically conductive material increased, fluidity and strength decreased but resistivity decreased. The resistivity of electrical conductive cement mortar is effect by water/cement, and aggregate. Cement mortar containing carbon fiber has the best electrical properties considering strength. From this study, it is enough to assure the use of carbon fiber, carbon black and graphite as a conductive filler for electrical conductive cement mortar.

  • The service life is defined as the period of the period of time, until repair becomes necessary to maintain the serviceability of structures. It is getting more common to specify the service life of a structure, particularly structures exposed to de-icing salt water. To accomplish this study, pier in the harbor was chosen as a experimental area. The service life of decks in marine environment was calculated as sum of three period ; initiation period, propagation period and cracking period. The object of this study is to indicate where and how measures can be adopted for checking relevant service lifes.

내부식성 콘크리트 개발을 위한 기초연구로서 개질유황 혼합 콘크리트의 물성 평가 (Evaluation on the Properties of Modified-sulfur Concrete as a Basic Study for Development of Anti-corrosive Concrete)

  • Due to the increased construction of offshore concrete structures and the use of de-icing salts for the purpose of snow removal, the needs for the development of anti-corrosive concrete are increasing. To solve these problems, an evaluation of the mechanical and durability properties for concrete were conducted by mixing modified-sulfur as 0 %, 5 %, 10 %, 15 % cement weight ratio. Both strengths and the properties affecting durability such as water absorption coefficient, chloride ion permeability, accelerated carbonation resistance, rapid freezing and thawing, and chemical resistance were evaluated. All evaluations performed were according to the test specifications associated KS. The results indicate that mixing of modified-sulfur lowed chloride ion permeability and improved chemical resistance.

  • 이상기후는 도로교통 사고 위협요소로써 빈번하게 심각한 영향을 주고 있다. 특히, 도로교통에서 기상변화 또는 재해에 의한 영향은 장대교량, 터널, 사면 및 결빙 지역에서 영향이 크기 때문에 이들 지역에 대한 관심 있는 관리가 필요하며 발생할 수 있는 사고를 줄이기 위해서도 집중적인 도로 관리와 도로 기상 정보 제공 및 조기 경보, 도로 순찰, 교통통제와 같은 요소들이 필요하다. 도로의 눈과 결빙은 제설로 위험을 줄일 수는 있으나, 강풍은 피할 수 없는 요소이다. 본 연구에서는 도로 기상 정보와 기후, 재해 정보를 활용하여 국지 지역에서 안전운전을 위한 경보 정보를 설계를 하고자 한다. 극한 기상에 노출된 운전자를 위한 최상의 경보 정보 설계는 도로 상황 감시 개선, 도로 기상정보 감시, 정확한 사용자 정보전달들이 될 것이며, 또한 바람 및 재해 상황에 대한 통계, 표면 조건 통계, 차종 및 차종에 따른 바람에 의한 사고 통계와 조기 경보 정책과 교육들도 이를 위해서는 수반되어야 할 요소들이다.

선경화 시간에 따른 항공기 De-icing용 나노실리카/폴리우레탄 복합재료 탑코트의 소수성 및 접착특성 평가 (Hydrophobicity and Adhesion of SiO2/Polyurethane Nanocomposites Topcoat for Aircraft De-icing with Different Pre-curing Time)

  • 항공기에서의 결빙은 동체 전체의 무게증가로 인한 연료 효율 감소, 거칠기 생성으로 인한 항력 증가, 센서의 오작동 등과 같은 문제의 원인이다. 폴리우레탄 탑코트의 경화온도인 60℃에서의 경화시간에 따른 폴리우레탄 탑코트의 점도를 실시간으로 측정하였고 이 데이터를 통해 폴리우레탄 탑코트의 시간 별 점도에 대해 파악하였다. 실리카 나노입자는 초음파분산을 통해 에탄올 내에 분산을 진행하였고, 각기 다른 선경화 조건을 진행한 폴리우레탄 탑코트 위에 도포를 진행하였다. 실리카/폴리우레탄 탑코트 나노복합재료의 표면 거칠기는 표면 거칠기 테스터를 사용하여 측정하였고 표면 거칠기 데이터는 3차원 매핑을 사용하여 시각화 하였다. 선경화 시간에 따른 실리카와 폴리우레탄 탑코트 간의 접착력은 인발접착시험(Adhesion pull-off test)를 통하여 평가를 진행하였고, 표면 소수성은 증류수를 이용한 정적 접촉각을 통해 평가하였다. 최종적으로 소수성 표면을 위한 폴리우레탄 탑코트의 최적 선경화 시간을 파악할 수 있었다.

염화칼슘이 함유된 제설제로 인한 콘크리트 바닥판 단부의 염해에 관한 사례 연구 (A Case Study on Chloride Corrosion for the End Zone of Concrete Deck Subjected to De-icing Salts Added Calcium Chloride)

  • In this study, the reinforced concrete rahmen bridge damaged by the chloride attack was investigated. According to the investigation, the degraded concretes on cantilever kerb and end part were intensively observed. Thus, the chloride content test and half-cell method were performed to evaluate the degraded parts. As a result, the contents of chloride on degraded parts were C and D grade. On the other hand, the half-cell potential values of rebar in degraded concrete were measured with the minor corrosion. This rebar corrosion is expected to progressing. Chloride content D grade is due to expansion pressure by corrosion of rebar and freeze-thaw by permeate water, could see progresses rapidly degradation. In order to prevent chloride attack to concrete deck caused by deicing salts, corresponding to the chloride critical concentration must maintain grade b or at least grade c. Chloride condition evaluation standard apply to evaluation of marine structure chloride attack with chloride attack by deicing salts.

광물질혼화재를 적용한 콘크리트의 스케일링 저항성 평가 (Scaling Resistance of Cement Concrete Incorporating Mineral Admixtures)

  • PURPOSES: The scaling of a concrete surface caused by the combined effects of frost and de-icing salts is one of the main reasons for the need to repair transportation infrastructures in cold-climate regions. This study describes the results of attempts to determine the scaling resistance of concrete incorporating mineral admixtures such as fly ash, GGBFS, and silica fume, and subjected to the actions of frost and salt. METHODS : Conventionally, to evaluate the fundamental properties of concrete, flexural and compressive strength measurements are regularly performed. Based on the ASTM C 672 standard, concrete is subjected to 2%, 4%, and 8% $CaCl_2$ salt solutions along with repeated sets of 50 freeze/thaw cycles, and the scaling resistance was evaluated based on the mass of the scale and a visual examination. RESULTS : It was observed that silica fume is very effective in enhancing the scaling resistance of concrete. Meanwhile, concrete incorporating GGBFS exhibited poor resistance to scaling, especially in the first ten freeze/thaw cycles. However, fly ash concrete generally exhibited the maximum amount of damage as a result of the frost-salt attack, regardless of the concentrations of the solutions. CONCLUSIONS: It can be concluded that the scaling resistance of concrete is highly dependent on the type of the mineral admixture used in the concrete. Therefore, to provide a durable concrete pavement for use in cold-climate regions, the selection of a suitable binder is essential.

교면포장을 갖는 교량 바닥판의 효율적인 점검방법 제안 (The Proposal of Efficient Inspection for Concrete Bridge Decks has Asphalt Overlay)

  • 교량 바닥판은 차량하중과 제설염화물 등의 다양한 유해환경에 직접 노출되어 있어, 교면 포장의 손상과 더불어 내부 콘크리트 바닥판의 열화로 진전되는 경우가 자주 발생되고 있다. 고속도로상에 손상이 발생한 교량에 대한 조사결과, 교면포장이 건전한 것으로 보이는 부위에서도 포장하면에서는 콘크리트 바닥판 상면의 손상이 광범위하게 진행되는 사례가 있다. 따라서 고속도로상의 교량 32개소를 선정하여 노면측정차량에 의한 조사와 차량탑재형 레이더에 의한 조사를 실시하였다. 그 결과, 외관상 양호해 보이는 곳에서도 포장내부에서는 손상발생가능성이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 따라서, 바닥판의 손상평가는 외관조사와 더불어 레이더 조사를 병행하는 것이 바람직한 것으로 판단된다.
