Product data analytics (PDA) is a data-driven analysis method that uses product data management (PDM) databases as its operational data. It aims to understand and evaluate product development processes indirectly through the analysis of product data from the PDM databases. To educate and train PDA efficiently, this study proposed an approach that employs courses for both product development and PDA in a class. The participant group for product development provides a PDM database as a result of their product development activities, and the other group for PDA analyses the PDM database and provides analysis result to the product development group who can explain causes of the result. The collaboration between the two groups can enhance the efficiency of the education and training course on PDA. This study also includes an application example of the approach to a graduate class on PDA and discussion of its result.

Recently, retrieval of various video data has become an important issue as more and more multimedia content services are being provided. To effectively deal with video data, a semantic-based retrieval scheme that allows for processing diverse user queries and saving them on the database is required. In this regard, this paper proposes a semantic-based video retrieval system that allows the user to search diverse meanings of video data for electrical safetyrelated educational purposes by means of automatic annotation processing. If the user inputs a keyword to search video data for electrical safety-related educational purposes, the mobile agent of the proposed system extracts the features of the video data that are afterwards learned in a continuous manner, and detailed information on electrical safety education is saved on the database. The proposed system is designed to enhance video data retrieval efficiency for electrical safety-related educational purposes.

국내에서 원격강의에 대한 연구는 1980년대 초반부터 시작하였고 1990년대 중반부터 본격화 되기 시작하였다. 본 연구에서는 국회도서관에 등록되어 있는 학술논문들 중에서 "원격강의"라는 키워드를 통해 검색된 논문들을 주제별로 분류하였다. 또한 통계적인 분석을 실시하고 내포하는 의미를 제시하였다.

The International System for Education and Qualification of Welding Personnel has been implemented based on the harmonized European System for education and qualification of welding personnel. This paper gives an overview of the International System focusing on the training guidelines and the quality assurance system developed. Systems for harmonization of Certification of Welding Personnel and for supporting companies using welding to implement ISO 3834 have been developed by EWF and are presently being transferred to IIW in line with the EWF/IIW agreement established in 2000.

It has been determined that two-way evacuation routes that connect houses to evacuation sites should be developed to protect residents of historic preservation areas from future disasters. These routes are required because traditional buildings and other historic spatial elements are located close to each other. It is important to understand residents' perceptions of evacuation routes that connect their houses to temporary safe places to develop evacuation system strategies that include effective two-way evacuation routes. This paper describes a procedure used to construct a two-way evacuation route database designed to preserve two study areas that was based on an interview survey conducted with area residents. The resulting database contained residents' perceptions of evacuation routes. The database contains categorized spatial problems related to these routes that can be used for future research.

Purpose: This study intends to make a database for hypertensive patients and middle-aged women who are visiting the Yeojoo County Health Center. While building up the database, the study reviewed the current assessment tools used in the health center, developed appropriate health care programs, and designed a computerized health care system. Method: The modeling of a database for the system was constructed by MS-Access for DBMS (Database Management System) and Visual Basic. The system is to be used only in the health center by being designed as a client server method, making it possible for many public employees to be interconnected, and enables them to retrieve and search data from the database simultaneously. Results: The health management system systematically follows nursing processes including assessment, diagnosis, intervention and evaluation. Diagnosis. once it is done according to the self determined criteria, saves time and provides appropriate health information for the members. Also, the health education program was developed to follow up on the health status of the members on a continuous basis. Conclusion: Based on these results, it is required to evaluate health care programs provided for the members by using the database system and to develop more practical health care programs. It is also necessary to connect the system to other databases. which contain information about members.

유아는 만3~5세 사이에 언어 능력이 빠르게 발달하게 된다. 유아의 언어발달에 맞는 다양한 경험을 위해서는 그 시기에 맞는 콘텐츠 개발이 필요하다. 다양한 콘텐츠 개발을 위해 유아에 맞는 음성 인터페이스를 이용하는 것이 필요하지만, 한국어에서는 유아를 대상으로 한 데이터베이스가 구축이 되지 않았다. 본 논문에서는 한국어에서 만 3~5세 유아들의 객관화되고 정확한 음성 데이터 수집을 설계하기 위하여 발달시기에 맞는 적절한 단어 선정 및 성인과 다른 유아의 행동 특성 유형을 파악하는 과정을 거쳐 음성 데이터 베이스를 구축하였다. 단어의 경우 MCDI-K에서 두 단계를 걸쳐 선정하였고, 유아는 한 단어 당 세 번씩 발성하였다. 이렇게 수집된 음성 데이터는 유아별, 단어별 파일 토큰화 과정을 거쳐 데이터베이스로 구축되었다. 한국어 유아 음성 데이터베이스는 웹 페이지를 통한 기술 이전을 할 계획이며, 이를 통하여 유아들의 언어 발달에 유익한 다양한 콘텐츠 개발에 그 익일을 담당할 것으로 기대한다.

The Earth Mechanics Institute (EMI) was established at the Colorado School of Mines (CSM) in 1974 to develop innovations in rock mechanics research and education. During the last four decades, extensive rock mechanics research has been conducted at the EMI. Results from uniaxial compressive strength (UCS), Brazilian tensile strength (BTS), point load index (PLI), punch penetration (PP), and many other types of tests have been recorded in a database that has been unexamined for research purposes. The EMI database includes over 20,000 tests from over 1,000 different projects including mining and underground construction, and analysis of this database to identify relationships has been started with preliminary results reported here. Overall, statistically significant correlations are identified between bulk density and mechanical strength properties through UCS, BTS, PLI, and PP testing of sedimentary, igneous, and metamorphic rocks. In this paper, bulk density is considered as a surrogate metric that reflects both mineralogy and porosity. From this analysis, sedimentary rocks show the strongest correlation between the UCS and bulk density, whereas metamorphic rocks exhibit the strongest correlation between UCS and PP. Data trends in the EMI database also reveal a linear relationship between UCS and BTS tests. For the singular case of rock coral, the database permits correlations between bulk density of the core versus the deposition depth and porosity. The EMI database will continue under analysis, and will provide additional insightful and comprehensive understanding of the variation and predictability of rock mechanical strength properties and density. This knowledge will contribute significantly toward the increasingly safe and cost-effective geostructures and construction.

지질도와 지질자료는 국토이용계획, 자원개발, 지질재해 예방 환경오염 방지 및 교육 등 다양한 용도로 활용되고 있는 중요한 정보이나 이들에 대한 데이터베이스화는 아직 본격적으로 수행되지 않고 있어 방대한 양의 지질자료가 체계적으로 관리되지 못해 정보로서의 이용가치와 효용성이 떨어진다. 또한 지질도는 층서 체계의 미확립, 도면 보존 및 경계 일치의 문제점 등 많은 문제점을 가지고 있어 데이터베이스 구축에 많은 문제점이 있으나 국가 기본 주제도의 하나로 빠른 시일 내에 데이터베이스로 구축되어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 지질도 데이터베이스 구축 및 활용을 위해 1:50,000 축척의 안성 지질도, 1:250,000 축척의 부산 지질도 1:25,000 축척의 남창 지질도, 1:1,000,0000 축척의 한국 지질도 등을 시범지역으로 선정하여 이 지역에 대해 지리정보시스템(GIS)을 이용해 데이터베이스 설계 및 구축을 하였다. 또한 구축된 데이터베이스를 관리할 수 있는 관리 프로그램은 GIS 프로그램을 이용해 개발하였고, 구축된 데이터베이스를 이용하여 수치지질도 제작 및 인터넷과 CD를 통한 자료 제공 등을 구현하였다.
