배전운영시스템용 응용 프로그램을 위한 공통 데이터베이스 구축 (Development of Common Database for the Application Programs of Distribution Management System)

  • In recent years, the development of application programs for distribution system analysis and control has been essential part for distribution management system (DMS). In this paper, we propose the common database for application programs of distribution management system. The proposed database model has several characteristics as followings. First, the proposed database model is designed for the common use of almost the whole distribution application software. The static equipment model and dynamic type tables are mixed and the parallel table structure is applied. Second, the linked list structure of database are used for the fast processing of applications. The database model includes the hierarchy and non-hierarchy distribution system structure. Third, the reduction method of distribution database is applied. For this, we present the network reduction rules. The basic concept of reduction rules are the electrical unification of successive line section which has not lateral branches and the removal of simple lateral branches which has no devices and other laterals. Proposed database model is tested for the Jeju system of Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO). Through the test, we verified that the proposed database structure can be effectively used to accomplish the distribution system operation.

  • XML is a standard markup language for exchange and storage of formed or well-formed information in World Wide Web. Because the source data of XML message for exchange of information in World Wide Web is stored in legacy database, it is necessary for the easy connection between XML application and database system. In Oracle8i, 9i, Informix and SQL2000, DBMS vendors make upgrade to DBMS for using XML. This method of upgrade between XML application and database system is Platform-dependent and DBMS-dependent. Also It is necessary for the method of the platform- and DBMS-independent connection between XML application and database system. The methods for the connection between XML DTD and RDB schema are studied for the easy connection between XML application and database system. But the study for the easy connection between XML DTD and ORDB schema is a little. For multimedia application, we use the extended DBMS from RDBMS. It is necessary for the study to the transformation from XML DTD to ORDB schema. In this paper, for easier connection between XML application and database system, we propose the method of the transformation from XML DTD to ORDB schema using Object Model.

  • This paper is study for database development for integrated structural system of RC buildings based on STEP In order to develope database, CIS/2 product model and INDECON application were used. CIS/2 will be accepted STEP(The STandard for the Exchange of Product model data) AP230 and INDECON(INtelligent structural DEsign system) is a Integrated structural system of RC buildings.   • In the large and multifunctional engineering system, the heterogeneous computer system situation is inevitable. Accordingly a lot of integration efforts are being made to comply with the industrial requirement of productivity. In this paper, a practical concept of integration is introduced through the development of a prototype system for ship outfitting design which is a typical example of large/multi-functional application system. On the development of the prototype system, three points are considered as a practical concept-which are integration of database, integration of application programs, and system-user interface. The relation model based commercial database management system(RDBMS) is used to build the project integrated database, and the graphical user interface tool(OSF/Motif) on X-window system is used for the integration of application programs and the user interface.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a central database and a database management system to store and manage information systematically from each module of an integrated structural design system. In order to efficiently express structural design process related to the data which is very complex, we used an object-oriented modeling methodology to propose the possibility to apply a database schema for application programs in an integrated system for reinforced concrete structural design. Based on this model, we developed an interface between each module and central database. After modeled by using object modeling technique, the database was mapped by the relational database table. Then the central database and the interface were programed by using Visual C/syo ++/, a windows environmental development tool.

  • Database as a supporting system for decision-making is one of essential parts for realizing precision farming. Application models on constructing a database for precision farming, including collection of spatial and attribute data, were suggested using a GPS, DXF files, AutoCAD, a Java application program and PostgreSQL DBMS in this study. The constructed spatial database based on the schema design of spatial and attribute data table was evaluated as a supporting system for decision-making by a simulation of a virtual variable-rate chemical applicator. The applicator could extract the values of soil property at its consecutive location in the tested field in communication with the constructed database, and prescribe the corresponding variable-rate of chemicals. The results of the study suggested the possibility that the constructed database can function a supporting system for decision-making for precision farming.

  • This paper presents a design of network and database structure of the integrated system for power system operational planning and analysis that will be more economical and stable of power system operation. An alias of this system is Highly Integrated Total Energy System(HITES). The Client/server model of HITES is designed as a remote data management model. The input/output-type of application programs and Oracle server is standardized. The separated user-databases from main-database strengthen security of HITES. It is plan to do that tables and relationships are defined by database designs. The connection of application program and DBMS of HITES will be tested through database design and data construction.

  • XML은 웹에서 구조화된 정보나 반-구조화된 정보를 교환하고 저장하는데 있어서 하나의 표준 마크업 언어로 채택되고 있는 추세이다. 웹을 통한 정보교환에 있어서, XML 메시지의 소스 데이터는 Legacy 데이터베이스에 저장되어 있기 때문에 XML 응용과 데이터베이스 시스템과의 원활한 연계가 요구되어진다. 이를 위하여 Oracle8i와 9i 및 Informix 그리고 SQL2000과 같은 DBMS들은 XML을 취급하기 위하여 자신의 DBMS들을 확장하고 있다. 그러나 이러한 방법은 플랫폼-종속적이며 DBMS-종속적이다. 따라서 원활한 XML 응용과 데이터베이스 시스템과의 연계를 위해서는 플랫폼-독립적이며 DBMS-독립적인 연계방안이 요구된다. 이에 따라 본 논문에서는 XML응용과 기존의 데이터베이스 시스템과의 원활한 연계를 위하여. XML DTD를 토대로 관계형 데이터베이스 스키마를 설계하기 위한 미들웨어 컴포넌트를 설계하였다.

  • Effective design of a database is essential for operating application systems efficiently. This Paper discusses database design for the automatic distribution system. Database design is a complex Process for specifying the structure of information and is decomposed in three Phases: conceptual, logical, and Physical design. In this paper, we first collect and analyze the requirements for the automatic distribution system, our target application. We also perform database design for these requirements through three design Phases. We believe that our results would contribute to the effective construction of a database for the automatic distribution system.

  • Recently the use of smart phones and mobile devices is increasing rapidly, data search and retrieval in the mobile environments are generalized. There are only few mobile applications available in the area of agriculture while huge amount of new applications are developed and uploaded. The purpose of this study was to develop the android based mobile application for providing agricultural infrastructure and disaster information. The mobile application was designed through the database establishment and management system, server management system, and mobile application development. The database is composed of weather data, agricultural infrastructure data, and agricultural disaster data. By developing the mobile application which provides agricultural infrastructure information, it is expected to improve the accessibility to agricultural information and mitigate the agricultural disaster damages.
