최근 국가지리정보체계 구축계획의 일환으로 1 : 5,000 국가기본도의 수치지도제작사업이 활발히 추진되고 있다. 국가기본도의 수치지도자료는 향후 추진될 공통주제도, 지하매설물종합도 및 공공 GIS 활용분야 등의 기본이 되는 자료로 구축된 자료의 품질 확보가 중요한 관건이 되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 수치지도작성 작업규칙에 의거한 품질확보 과정을 정립하고 자료량에 따른 검수시간과 경제성을 고려하여 데이터베이스의 자동 품질확보 프로그램을 개발함으로써 국가기본도 수치지도제작 데이터베이스의 품질을 향상시켜 공공 데이터베이스의 신뢰도 및 활용성을 높이는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 수행 결과, 국가기본도 수치지도제작 데이터베이스의 품질확보 과정을 정립하였으며 , 본 연구를 통해 개발된 자동 품질확보 프로그램이 공공 데이터베이스의 신뢰도 및 활용성을 향상시킴을 알 수 있었다.

지질도와 지질자료는 국토이용계획, 자원개발, 지질재해 예방 환경오염 방지 및 교육 등 다양한 용도로 활용되고 있는 중요한 정보이나 이들에 대한 데이터베이스화는 아직 본격적으로 수행되지 않고 있어 방대한 양의 지질자료가 체계적으로 관리되지 못해 정보로서의 이용가치와 효용성이 떨어진다. 또한 지질도는 층서 체계의 미확립, 도면 보존 및 경계 일치의 문제점 등 많은 문제점을 가지고 있어 데이터베이스 구축에 많은 문제점이 있으나 국가 기본 주제도의 하나로 빠른 시일 내에 데이터베이스로 구축되어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 지질도 데이터베이스 구축 및 활용을 위해 1:50,000 축척의 안성 지질도, 1:250,000 축척의 부산 지질도 1:25,000 축척의 남창 지질도, 1:1,000,0000 축척의 한국 지질도 등을 시범지역으로 선정하여 이 지역에 대해 지리정보시스템(GIS)을 이용해 데이터베이스 설계 및 구축을 하였다. 또한 구축된 데이터베이스를 관리할 수 있는 관리 프로그램은 GIS 프로그램을 이용해 개발하였고, 구축된 데이터베이스를 이용하여 수치지질도 제작 및 인터넷과 CD를 통한 자료 제공 등을 구현하였다.

Database as a supporting system for decision-making is one of essential parts for realizing precision farming. Application models on constructing a database for precision farming, including collection of spatial and attribute data, were suggested using a GPS, DXF files, AutoCAD, a Java application program and PostgreSQL DBMS in this study. The constructed spatial database based on the schema design of spatial and attribute data table was evaluated as a supporting system for decision-making by a simulation of a virtual variable-rate chemical applicator. The applicator could extract the values of soil property at its consecutive location in the tested field in communication with the constructed database, and prescribe the corresponding variable-rate of chemicals. The results of the study suggested the possibility that the constructed database can function a supporting system for decision-making for precision farming.

공개된 데이터베이스들에서 말에 대한 생물학적인 데이터와 지놈 데이터를 분석하여 말 데이터베이스를 구축하였다. 말 데이터베이스는 말의 생물학적인 데이터와 지놈 데이터를 생물정보학적인 분석방법으로 분석하고 이들 데이터를 통합하여 제공하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 본 데이터베이스는 말의 생물학적 데이터와 지놈 분석 데이터 그리고 생물정보학적인 분석프로그램을 제공하는 인터페이스로 구성하였다. 또한 사용자의 편의를 돕기 위해서 쉽게 이용할 수 있도록 웹 메뉴를 구성 하였으며 말에 대한 다양한 정보를 제공할 수 있게 하였다. 말 데이터베이스를 이용할 수 있는 웹 주소는 http://www.primate.or.kr/horse이다.

본 연구는 성과기반 교육의 핵심인 효율적인 학습성과 평가 관리를 위해 웹 기반 학습성과 관리시스템을 개발하기 위해 시행되었다. 이에 시스템 개발 생명 주기(System Development Life Cycle)모델에 근거하여 분석-설계-구현-평가의 과정에 따라 사용자의 요구를 분석하여 컨텐츠와 시스템을 구성하고 설계하여 관리시스템을 개발하였으며, 시스템 구현 후 사용자의 만족도를 분석하였다. 개발된 시스템을 통해 졸업 시점에 이른 학생들의 학습성과 평가결과를 학습성과 별, 학생 개인별로 달성목표가 성취되었는지를 한 눈에 모니터 할 수 있게 되었다. 이를 통해 일정한 목표수준에 도달하지 못한 학습성과 항목 및 학생들의 원인 분석과 필요한 개선방안을 모색할 수 있게 됨으로써 효율적인 학습성과 평가관리가 가능하게 되었다.

XML (extensible Markup Language) is a flexible way to create common information formats and share both the format and the data on the World Wide Web, intranets, and elsewhere. A document type definition (DTD) is a specific definition of the rules of the Standard Generalized Markup Language. A relational database management system (RDBMS) is a program that lets you create, update, and administer a relational database. An RDBMS takes Structured Query Language (SQL) statements entered by a user or contained in an application program and creates, updates, or provides access to the database. This paper has been studied a method of mappings from XML DTD to RDB schemas based on object model.

It is widely recognized that train Is one of the most efficient and convenient ways for passenger and freight transportation. However, the environmental noise problem is occurred with the construction and service of train. The noise problems caused by train prevent people from living in a silent environment. Furthermore, this problem is related with the right to preserve one's environment. The objectives of this research are train noise measurement and analysis which might be a base-study for prediction of train noise. This paper mainly deals with the noise of the 'Semaul' train. The train noise shows distinct characteristics according to the variation of height and distance. Furthermore, the database and its interface program are developed for systematic analysis and future research.

Ship owners are demanding quieter vessels since crews have become more sensitive to their acoustic environment. Accordingly, designers of shipyards need to respond intelligently to the challenging requirements of delivering a quiet vessel. In early design stage, to predict shipboard noise the statistical approach is preferred to other methods because of simplicity. However, since the noise characteristics of the ships vary continuously with the environments, it is necessary to update the prediction formula with data base management system. This paper describes the feature of database program with the prediction method. Database management programs with GUI, are applied to Intranet system that is accessible by any users. Statistical approach to the prediction of A-weighted noise level in ship cabins, based on multiple regression analysis, is conducted. The noise levels in ship cabins are mainly affected by the parameters of the deadweight, the type of ship, the relative location of engines and cabins, the type of deckhouse, etc. As a result of verification, the formulas ensure the accuracy of 3 ㏈ in 83 % of cabins.

This paper proposes structural analysis on the World Wide Web to form a part of the architectural design project. It purposes modeling space frames and a structural analysis program on the internet only by inputting basic data for forming a shape in the whole phase of space frame analysis. The analysis data is conducted by Oracle DBMS(DataBase Management System), GUI(Graphic User Internet) by Java Applet and connection with server and database by Java Servlet respectively. The result from modeling and analysis is provided as graphic and text file forms by web browsers. Programs can be executed irrespective of user's OS by using internet and highly-secured system is constructed taking advantage of Java. Of great efficiency is maintaining and recycling data as the whole is dealt by database from the beginning to the end of program.
