The purpose of this study is to suggest how we can get over the difficulties of practical drill under experimentation concerning the units of making clothes in the curriculum of home economics. The import of this study was based on the results of the preceding studies the field of the making Korean clothes, from the standpoint of the teaching tools and teaching materials by the use of VTR, is one of the most insufficient. On the one hand, the teaching procedure here a VTR, running 34 minutes or so, was made up with the process of making Korean men’s slacks, and was led by the researcher’s own. The contents of the lesson are as follows: the shape of Korean clothes, the name of each part, the process of drawing, cutting and sewing, and the items of evaluation and arrangement. On the other hand, the two comparative groups were made to compare one with the other: One group was taught by help of VTR media, and the other by the model performance and explanation of the instructor’s own. All of the statistical data were analyzed in terms of SPSS/PC, and t-verification was made, to make difference between the two, after standard deviation was calculated according to the classified domains. The consequences of the test research are shown as below: 1. The difference of understanding was obviously made in considering that the group made a better score than the comparative one in understanding to process of making Korean clothes. 2. The difference of skill was highly made in considering that the group made a better score than the comparative one in the practical drill of making Korean clothes. 3. The difference of interests was evidentally made in considering that the group made a better score than the comparative one in the stage of making Koran clothes. Such means that the motivation and attitude of the learners was made stimulate by the Audio-Visual material than by the traditional cramming method. 4. The difference of frequency was fairly made in considering that the experimeatal group made a better score than the comparative one in the frequency of individual teaching. 5. The difference of the efficiency of time-consumption was clearly made in considering that the experimental group made a better score than the comparative one. As the results of the research above, the medium of VTR proved to more effective to the achievement of schoolwork and the strategies of teaching. Therefore, more use of VTR media will help the instructors with the difficulties of practical drill in the whole process of making Korean clothes; Widely use of VTR media in teaching will be surely more fruitfull to the unit of making Korean clothes than teaching by explanation.

Objective: This study was conducted to estimate genetic parameters for milk yield traits using daily milk yield records from parlour data generated in an intensively managed commercial dairy farm with Jersey and Jersey-Friesian cows in Sri Lanka. Methods: Genetic parameters were estimated for first and second lactation predicted and realized 305-day milk yield using univariate animal models. Genetic parameters were also estimated for total milk yield for each 30-day intervals of the first lactation using univariate animal models and for daily milk yield using random regression models fitting second-order Legendre polynomials and assuming heterogeneous residual variances. Breeding values for predicted 305-day milk yield were estimated using an animal model. Results: For the first lactation, the heritability of predicted 305-day milk yield in Jersey cows (0.08±0.03) was higher than that of Jersey-Friesian cows (0.02±0.01). The second lactation heritability estimates were similar to that of first lactation. The repeatability of the daily milk records was 0.28±0.01 and the heritability ranged from 0.002±0.05 to 0.19±0.02 depending on day of milk. Pearson product-moment correlations between the bull estimated breeding values (EBVs) in Australia and bull EBVs in Sri Lanka for 305-day milk yield were 0.39 in Jersey cows and -0.35 in Jersey-Friesian cows. Conclusion: The heritabilities estimated for milk yield in Jersey and Jersey-Friesian cows in Sri Lanka were low, and were associated with low additive genetic variances for the traits. Sire differences in Australia were not expressed in the tropical low-country of Sri Lanka. Therefore, genetic progress achieved by importing genetic material from Australia can be expected to be slow. This emphasizes the need for a within-country evaluation of bulls to produce locally adapted dairy cows.
Objective: This study estimated the genetic parameters for productive and reproductive traits. Methods: The data included production and reproduction records of animals that have calved between 1979 and 2013. The genetic parameters were estimated using multivariate mixed models (DMU) package, fitting univariate and multivariate mixed models with average information restricted maximum likelihood algorithm. Results: The estimates of heritability for milk production traits from the first three lactation records were $0.03{\pm}0.03$ for lactation length (LL), $0.17{\pm}0.04$ for lactation milk yield (LMY), and $0.15{\pm}0.04$ for 305 days milk yield (305-d MY). For reproductive traits the heritability estimates were, $0.09{\pm}0.03$ for days open (DO), $0.11{\pm}0.04$ for calving interval (CI), and $0.47{\pm}0.06$ for age at first calving (AFC). The repeatability estimates for production traits were $0.12{\pm}0.02$, for LL, $0.39{\pm}0.02$ for LMY, and $0.25{\pm}0.02$ for 305-d MY. For reproductive traits the estimates of repeatability were $0.19{\pm}0.02$ for DO, and to $0.23{\pm}0.02$ for CI. The phenotypic correlations between production and reproduction traits ranged from $0.08{\pm}0.04$ for LL and AFC to $0.42{\pm}0.02$ for LL and DO. The genetic correlation among production traits were generally high (>0.7) and between reproductive traits the estimates ranged from $0.06{\pm}0.13$ for AFC and DO to $0.99{\pm}0.01$ between CI and DO. Genetic correlations of productive traits with reproductive traits were ranged from -0.02 to 0.99. Conclusion: The high heritability estimates observed for AFC indicated that reasonable genetic improvement for this trait might be possible through selection. The $h^2$ and r estimates for reproductive traits were slightly different from single versus multi-trait analyses of reproductive traits with production traits. As single-trait method is biased due to selection on milk yield, a multi-trait evaluation of fertility with milk yield is recommended.
With the recent development of IoT technology, medical services using IoT technology are increasing in many medical institutions providing health care services. However, as the number of IoT sensors attached to the user body increases, the healthcare information transmitted to the server becomes complicated, thereby increasing the time required for analyzing the user's healthcare information in the server. In this paper, we propose a deep learning based health care information management method to collect and process healthcare information in a server for a large amount of healthcare information delivered through a user - attached IoT device. The proposed scheme constructs a subnet according to the attribute value by assigning an attribute value to the healthcare information transmitted to the server, and extracts the association information between the subnets as a seed and groups them into a hierarchical structure. The server extracts optimized information that can improve the observation speed and accuracy of user's treatment and prescription by using deep running of grouped healthcare information. As a result of the performance evaluation, the proposed method shows that the processing speed of the medical service operated in the healthcare service model is improved by 14.1% on average and the server overhead is 6.7% lower than the conventional technique. The accuracy of healthcare information extraction was 10.1% higher than the conventional method.
Objective : To compare the efficacy between SKI306X and Diclofenac by using generalized estimating equations (GEE) methodology in the analysis of correlated bivariate binary outcome data in Osteoarthritis (OA) diseases. Methods : A randomized, double-blind, active comparator-controlled, non-inferiority clinical trial was conducted at 5 institutions in Korea with the random assignment of 248 patients aged 35 to 75 years old with OA of the knee and clinical evidence of OA. Patients were enrolled in this study if they had at least moderate pain in the affected knee joint and a score larger than 35mm as assessed by VAS (Visual Analog Scale). The main exposure variable was treatment (SKI 306X vs. Diclofenac) and other covariates were age, sex, BMI, baseline VAS, center, operation history (Yes/No), NSAIDS (Y/N), acupuncture (Y/N), herbal medicine (Y/N), past history of musculoskeletal disease (Y/N), and previous therapy related with OA (Y/N). The main study outcome was the change of VAS pain scores from baseline to the 2nd and 4th weeks after treatment. Pain scores were obtained as baseline, 2nd and 4th weeks after treatment. We applied GEE approach with empirical covariance matrix and independent(or exchangeable) working correlation matrix to evaluate the relation of several risk factors to the change of VAS pain scores with correlated binary bivariate outcomes. Results : While baseline VAS, age, and acupuncture variables had protective effects for reducing the OA pain, its treatment (Joins/Diclofenac) was not statistically significant through GEE methodology (ITT:aOR=1.37, 95% CI=(0.8200, 2.26), PP:aOR=1.47, 95% CI=(0.73, 2.95)). The goodness-of-fit statistic for GEE (6.55, p=0.68) was computed to assess the adequacy of the fitted final model. Conclusions : Both ANCOVA and GEE methods yielded non statistical significance in the evaluation of non-inferiority of the efficacy between SKI306X and Diclofenac. While VAS outcome for each visit was applied in GEE, only VAS outcome for the fourth visit was applied in ANCOVA. So the GEE methodology is more accurate for the analysis of correlated outcomes.

Plant metabolomics is a research field for identifying all of the metabolites found in a certain plant cell, tissue, organ, or whole plant in a given time and conditions and for studying changes in metabolic profiling as time goes or conditions change. Metabolomics is one of the most recently developed omics for holistic approach to biology and is a kind of systems biology. Metabolomics or metabolite fingerprinting techniques usually involves collecting spectra of crude solvent extracts without purification and separation of pure compounds or not in standardized conditions. Therefore, that requires a high degree of reproducibility, which can be achieved by using a standardized method for sample preparation and data acquisition and analysis. In plant biology, metabolomics is applied for various research fields including rapid discrimination between plant species, cultivar and GM plants, metabolic evaluation of commercial food stocks and medicinal herbs, understanding various physiological, stress responses, and determination of gene functions. Recently, plant metabolomics is applied for characterization of gene function often in combination with transcriptomics by analyzing tagged mutants of the model plants of Arabidopsis and rice. The use of plant metabolomics combined by transcriptomics in functional genomics will be the challenge for the coming year. This review paper attempted to introduce current status and prospects of plant metabolomics research.
Joint Collaborative Team on Video Coding (JCT-VC), which have founded ISO/IEC MPEG and ITU-T VCEG, has standardized High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC). Standardization of HEVC has started with purpose of twice or more coding performance compared to H.264/AVC. However, flexible and hierarchical coding block and recursive coding structure are problems to overcome of HEVC standard. Many fast encoding algorithms for reducing computational complexity of HEVC encoder have been proposed. However, it is hard to implement a real-time HEVC encoder only with those fast encoding algorithms. In this paper, for implementation of software-based real-time HEVC encoder, data-level parallelism using SIMD instructions and CPU/GPU multi-threading methods are proposed. And we also proposed appropriate operations and functional modules to apply the proposed methods on HM 10.0 software. Evaluation of the proposed methods implemented on HM 10.0 software showed 20-30fps for $832{\times}480$ sequences and 5-10fps for $1920{\times}1080$ sequences, respectively.
Ground settlements induced by tunnel excavation cause the foundations of the neighboring superstructures to deform. An expert system called NESASS was developed to analyze the structural safety of such superstructures. NESASS predicts the trend of ground settlements to be resulted from tunnel excavation and carries out a safety analysis for superstructures on the basis of the predicted ground settlements. Using neural network techniques, NESASS learns a data base consisting of the measured ground settlements collected from numerous actual fields and infers a settlement trend at the field of interest. NESASS calculates the magnitudes of angular distortion, deflection ratio, and differential settlement of the structure and, in turn, determines the safety of the structure. In addition, NESASS predicts the patterns of cracks to be formed on the structure using Dulacskas model for crack evaluation. In this study, the ground settlements measured from the Seoul subway construction sites were collected and sorted with respect to the major factors influencing ground settlement. Subsequently, a database of ground settlement due to tunnel excavation was built. A parametric study was performed to verify the reliability of the proposed neural network structure. A comparison of the ground settlement trends predicted by NESASS with the measured ones indicates that NESASS leads to reasonable predictions. An examples is presented in this paper where NESASS is used to evaluate the safety of a structure subject to deformation due to tunnel excavation near to the structure.

Lately, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAV), Unmanned Aerial Systems(UAS) or also often known as drones, as a data acquisition platform and as a measurement instrument are becoming attractive for many photogrammetric surveying applications, especially generation of the high density point clouds(HDPC). This paper presents the performance evaluation of a low-cost rotary wing quadrocopter UAS for generation of the HDPC in a test bed environment. Its performance was assessed by comparing the coordinates of UAS based HDPC to the results of Network RTK GNSS surveying with 62 ground check points. The results indicate that the position RMSE of the check points are ${\sigma}_H={\pm}0.102m$ in Horizonatal plane, and ${\sigma}_V={\pm}0.209m$ in vertical, and the maxium deviation of Elevation was 0.570m within block area of ortho-photo mosaic. Therefore the required level of accuracy at NGII for production of ortho-images mosaic at a scale of 1:1000 was reached, UAS based imagery was found to make use of it to update scale 1:1000 map. And also, since this results are less than or equal to the required level in working rule agreement for airborne laser scanning surveying of NGII for Digital Elevation Model generation of grids $1m{\times}1m$ and 1:1000 scale, could be applied with production of topographic map and ortho-image mosaic at a scale of 1:1000~1:2500 over small-scale areas.
Objectives While sciatic neuropathy is one of the common symptoms which have the lifetime incidence of 13~40%, still there is no consensus about the standardized and the most effective conservative treatment. In addition, the importance of systematic review and meta-analysis of preclinical are growing as they could suggest possible effective treatment strategy for future studies. Therefore, we conducted systematic review and meta-analysis to estimate analgesic effect of acupuncture on sciatica in rat models. Methods Systematic search was conducted for all controlled comparative preclinical trials which assessed analgesic effect of acupuncture in sciatica rat models. Database of PubMed, EMBASE, Web of Science, CNKI and 6 Korean databases were used. The primary outcome was pain, which is evaluated by stimulus behavior tests in rat models. We assessed the methodological quality with Systematic Review Centre for Laboratory Animal Experimentation's risk of bias tool. RevMan 5.3 was used for meta-analysis and subgroup analysis was conducted according to treatment site, acupuncture point, treatment period and frequency used in electroacupuncture. Results 14 studies were finally included following our inclusion criteria. The data from meta-analysis indicated that the acupuncture significantly improved the result values of behavior tests for pain evaluation, compared to no-treatment control group in animal models (standardized mean difference=4.43, 95% confidence interval 3.16 to 5.69, Z=6.84, p<0.00001; χ2=68.02, p<0.00001; I2=82%). The results of subgroup analysis indicate that acupuncture treatment of unilateral site, distal acupoints, longer treatment period and applying 2/100 Hz frequency in electroacupuncture could be more effective. Conclusions Systematic review and meta-analysis of animal studies are getting important for the future clinical studies and the improvement of heatlh care. Therefore the results of the study would provide evidence and better design for the forthcoming studies.
