Dance films, which started together as a combination of dance and video technology, have evolved into a new genre. Overseas, from early 1950s, experimental dance films have been produced and the dance film association is organized along with many dance film festivals are being held. However, it has not been long since the perception and creativity of the genre of dance films in Korea. Under these circumstances, holding of the 'Seoul Dance Film Festival' and experimental approaches by 'Dance Film Project' are important for the development of domestic dance films. Therefore, this paper explores the concept and development of dance films, the status and features of various overseas dance film festivals and the 'Seoul Dance Film Festival'. This paper also explores the roll and function of 'Seoul Dance Film Festival' and 'Dance Film Project', and their expected benefit along with possibilities of prosperity of domestic dance film. 'Dance Film Project' is the educational and experimental venue for producing of dance films, and the 'Seoul Dance Film Festival' is a platform for producing dance film makers, show of works, dialogue with audiences, international exchanges, and distributions. This study examines Korea's international development volunteer program as a citizen diplomacy initiative. Informed by a cultural perspective of transmission and relational models of public diplomacy, I examine the ways in which volunteer training incorporates cultural-learning into its program. The study finds that volunteer training is largely based on an instrumentalist approach to culture that places emphasis on learning the "explicit" side of culture, such as Korean traditional dance, art, and food as a strategy to promote the country's national image. In contrast, much less covered in the training program is a relational approach to culture-learning that is guided by a reflexive understanding of the "implicit" side of culture, or the values and beliefs that guide the worldviews and behavior of both volunteers and host constituents. Whereas the value of the volunteer program as a citizen diplomacy initiative is in its potential to build relationships based on two-way engagement, its conception of culture is mostly guided by that of the transmission model of public diplomacy. Based on the findings, this study calls for an integrated approach to culture-learning in volunteer training program to move the citizen diplomacy initiative forward.

There are many eyes that recognize Korean traditional performing arts as low, unorganized, and not a play. However, there is clear in the Korean traditional performing arts have a story with a perfect narrative structure. From the Miyal which accepts the Western tragedy theory to the Gangneung Gwanno Mast drama which contains the love story of the comedy, many Korean traditional performances contain the elements of narrative even though the contents are very simple. It is true that there are very few things with perfect narrative structure among the Korean traditional performance that has been passed down so far. It is the responsibility of the researchers to unearth and restore these, and it is the task of the creative artists to create new ones according to contemporary philosophy. If these two fields communicate smoothly, we will be able to look at the future of our traditional performing arts more brightly than now. As a result, it will also be a challenge to solve the problem of letting Korean traditional plays penetrate ing the world market.

Jeong Sun-Ah built up her performance career for twenty years with bold and energetic acting and solidified her status as a leading actress of Korean musical since her debut. To benefit from the value of her experience this study performed an in-depth interview with her, applying the Theory of "Projection" and "Back-projection", which are the psychological principles of acting, and derived "acting(entering the roles)" and "de-acting(leaving the roles)" techniques. As result, Her acting mechanism involved emptying her ego, embodying a persona by projecting the role created by intensive exploration of materials like previous performance, film of the same title, original novel, and script, and then getting the ego back by back-projecting through dynamic activities such as overseas travel and dance. She pre-studied the roles by physically visiting sites that are important to the characters. She was unique in that she pursued a difference by changing vocal trainers for each musical production and undertook more intense physical training than vocal practice to achieve powerful singing performance. In most of her works (75%), she suffered from aftereffects such as depression, narcissism, hysteria, and insomnia due to disorder caused by breaking away from the roles. However, she relied on self-help and alternatives are needed in the future such as reinforcement of expert counselling. Jeong Sun-Ah appeared on an average of 1.6 productions per year, practiced for an average of 1.7 months, and performed for an average of 3.9 months with an average of 100 days of break between productions. Her performance record from this research demonstrates her constant preparation and passion, as well as the know-how of reserving and distributing energy. So, it has a valuable implications for acting education and self-management of actors and actress.

This study aimed to point out the social meaning of acting and art and the change of perception according to the time change. The research method was based on qualitative research through literature review. Based on the findings of this study, the following conclusions should be made. Acting is an art directly linked to the life of an individual. Therefore, the life of an individual is an activity that sublimates his or her life into art through acting. Every activity that we do in our daily life is acting, which is directly related to our talents. In other words, a talented person is recognized as a good actor, and a person with a lack of talent plays the role of an extra person. However, talent is influenced by effort and is also influenced by a given environment. That is, an individual's talent is not fixed but can be changed according to the situation. Education is the area that deals with the possibility of changing these talents. Education has been operating in a variety of ways, but with regard to acting, it has long been centered on apprenticeship education. However, as the 20th century began, systems gradually began to emerge, and in recent years, countries have developed into different educational systems. Therefore, it is necessary to practice the development and operation of various education programs so that the acting and the art are naturally applied in everyday education process and can be applied in daily life.
This study was conducted through the typological analysis of theatrical activities and playscript of Packaging Troupe, which was a wandering theater troupe. It seems the activities of the packaging troupe were very active about in the 1950s. They approached to the public with various repertoires and gained popularity during the process. The playscript used in their plays can be divided into several types such as Yi dynasty drama, historical drama and modern drama and their titles are almost same as or similar to those used in Changgeuk troupe (classical opera), Female Gukgeuk troupe (Female classical opera), or Female Nongak troupe (Female farm musical band). Also, as themes, subject matters, and characters were partially same, the characteristics of previous theatrical activities could be reviewed through the playscript of packaging troupe. Also, the characteristics of the playscript of packaging troupe can be found in the list of gramophone record. The changes in popular culture can be examined in the flow of plays with various forms such as theater, film, and gramophone through the comparison between the characteristics of playscript types of packaging troupe around in the 1950s and the list of gramophone record. A typological analysis of playscript of packaging troupe confirmed the activities of packaging troupe lasted around in the 1950s. Also it can be inferred from Hyeopryulsa, Changgeuk troupe, Female Gukgeuk troupe, or Female Nongak troupe, which used traditional subject matters as repertoire of performance. Those were possible because repertoires were composed and contents changed according to the needs of the public. The changes can be also confirmed through the list inserted in the gramophone record. The association can be inferred through the same title as that of the playscript of packaging troupe and similarity of performance curtains and subject matters. As such, the interest and flow of popular culture can be examined through the types of playscript of theatrical activities of packaging troupe.
