Korean government has adopted the French TGV as a high-speed transportation system and the first service is scheduled at the end of 2003. TGV-relevant documents are consisted of huge volumes, of which over than 76% has been translated in English. A large part of the English version is, however, incomprehensible without referring to the original French version. The goal of this paper is to demonstrate how DiET 2.5, a lexicon builder, makes it possible to build with ease domain-specific terminology lexicon that may contain multimedia and multilingual data with multi-layered logical information. We believe our wok shows an important step in enlarging the language scope and the development of electronic lexica, and in providing the flexibility of defining any type of the DTD and the interconnectivity among collaborators. As an application of DiET 2.5, we would like to build a TGV-relevant lexicon in the near future.

인터넷/웹 비즈니스의 확산과 더불어, 기업간(B2B) 거래 처리에도 혁명적인 변화가 일어나고 있다. 그러나, 이러한 변화의 이면에는 해결해야 할 많은 기술적인 제약이 내포되어 있다. 무엇보다도, 전자적인 기업간 거래처리를 위해서는 컴퓨터 시스템간에 구조화된 정보를 교환할 수 있도록 공통의 언어가 제공되어야 한다. 이런 공동의 민어에 대한 문제를 해결하기 위해서 UN/CEFACT와 OASIS에서는 XML(extensible Markup Language)을 기반으로 한 ebXML(electronic business XML)을 차세대 e-비즈니스의 표준으로 제정하고 공동 개발하기로 함에 따라 전서계 단일 전자상거래시장 구축이 XML기반으로 이루어 질 수 있게 되었다. 이에 본 논문에서는 ebXML 도큐먼트 편집을 위해 XML을 기반으로 한 e-business 문서 생성을 위한 XML 편집기, XML DTD 생성기, XML Schema를 작성하기 위한 Schema 편집기 등의 통합 ebXML문서 편집 시스템을 설계 및 구현 하였다.

정보화 사회에서 효율적인 정보관리를 위해서 가장 필요한 것은 정보를 표현, 교환하기 위해서 작성, 관리했던 문서정보를 전자문서로 변화하여 관리하는 기술이다. 또한, 사용자에게 필요한 정보를 제공하기 위해서 대량의 전자문서 중에서 효과적으로 관련 전자문서를 탐색하여 사용자에게 제공하는 문헌정보 검색 시스템이 필요하다. 문헌정보 검색 시스템에서는 대량의 멀티미디어 형식의 문서를 체계적으로 구조화하고 컴퓨터에 대한 전무지식을 갖지 못한 사용자의 부정확한 질의에 대해서도 관련내용을 빠르게 제공할 수 있는 기능이 필수이다. 본 논문은 국내외에서 발표되는 전산학 관련 기술문서를 위한 메타정보를 SeriCore DTD형식에 따라 SGML문서로 작성하여 기술문서를 위한 메타데이타베이스를 구축하고, 이를 사용자가 효과적으로 검색할 수 있는 검색 클라이언트를 개발하는 것을 목적으로 한다.

New trends such as electronic commerce, virtual organizations, e-business applications, etc. increase the dependence of production management on information software systems and contribute to the needs for global, distributed object systems. This paper presents a component based approach for production management systems under the multi-tier distributed information system architecture using UML(Unified Modeling Language), CORBA(Common Object Request Broker Architecture) and XML(eXtensible Markup Language) technologies, and propose rules for mapping a UML class diagram to a XML DTD (Document Type Definition). And we adapt it to the prototype system implementation. The components are implemented by CORBA and we use XML messages for the information exchange between components.

XML은 W3C 표준으로 채택된 이후로 많은 어플리케이션에서 데이터를 표현하는 방법으로 사용되고 있다. XML문서는 특정 어플리케이션에 종속적이기 때문에 XSLT를 이용하여 변환한 뒤 사용하게 된다. 그러나 변환에는 많은 노력, 시간과 비용이 소요되기 때문에 이를 자동으로 변환하는 시스템을 구축하는 것이 최선의 방법이다. 이를 위해서 XTGen이나 XSLT 스크립트 시스템이 기존에 제안되었지만 사용자가 엘리먼트간의 관계를 수동으로 처리하는 방식이거나 변환 문서간 단말 노드의 1:1 매칭이라는 제약과 대규모 변환에 어려움이 있다. 본 논문은 JAWS를 이용한 엘리먼트간의 의미 관계 분석과 DTD의 구조를 분석하여 XSLT를 생성함으로써 기존 시스템들의 단점을 보완하고 더 높은 정확성을 보장한다는 장점을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 시스템은 XML 문서를 변환하기 위한 XSLT를 자동으로 생성하여 XML 문서를 변환하는 모든 과정을 자동화 함으로써 문서 변환에 따르는 비용의 절감할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

통계 데이터의 메타데이터에 대한 연구는 90년대 중반부터 각 나라에서 다양하게 이루어져 왔지만 아직 그 기준의 모호하다. 하지만 방대한 양의 데이터 관리와 자료의 활성화를 위한 방안으로 표준화를 위한 노력은 계속되고 있다. 여기서는 통계데이터를 위한 각 국가의 연구들을 조사하고 우리나라 통계청의 자료를 분석하여 통계 메타데이터 요소를 추출하였다. 본 연구는 이 요소들을 중심으로 XML 기반에서 DTD로 하나의 문서형태를 정의하여 우리나라 통계 데이터의 표준화를 위한 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

www의 등장으로 디지털 정보의 표현이 단순한 텍스트 위주의 프리젠테이션에서 이제는 멀티미디어 내용의 증가와 함께 멀티모달 정보 프리젠테이션을 요구하는 변화를 가져오고 있다. 그러나 대다수의 사람들이 멀티모달 정보를 표현하기란 쉽지 않다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 사람들이 보다 쉽고 재미있는 멀티모달 정보 프리젠테이션을 쉽게 사용할 수 있도록 구두 대화 능력에 상호 작용하는 캐릭터 에이전트를 응용하여 MIML을 개발하였다. MIML은 XML 규격에 준거한 Markup Language로써 구두 발표 및 캐릭터 에이전트 행동을 통제하기 위한 기능을 지원한다. 본 논문에서는 다양한 캐릭터 에이전트의 감정 표현 기능과 멀티모달 정보 프리젠테이션을 구성하는 DTD에 대하여 기술하였다.

A Technical Manual is the tool that offers a guidance to a maintenance engineer in order to exactly use and maintain of complicated weapon system. Because the modern weapon system are complex and functionality integrated, its quantity is massive. So We spend a lot of money on its publication and suspending recent information. To solve this problem, to reduce a risk of loss and use easily, this study develops the IETM(Interactive Electronic technical manual) which observes the CALS standard. This paper provide the development concept, environment, technic of IETM.

현재 B2B 전자상거래와 같은 XML을 이용한 정보교환이 확산되고 있으며, 이에 따라 상호 교환되는 정보에 대하여 체계적이며 안정적인 저장관리가 요구되고 있다. 이를 위해 XML 응용과 데이터베이스 연계를 위한 다양한 연구가 관계형 데이터베이스를 중심으로 수행되었다. 그러나 계층구조를 갖는 XML 데이터를 2차원 테이블의 집합인 관계형 정보로 표현하는 관계형 데이터 베이스로의 저장에는 본질적인 한계가 있으므로, 해결책으로 계층구조를 지원하는 ORDB로의 저장이 요망되고 있다. 따라서 계층구조를 갖는 XML 데이터를 ORDB로 저장하기 위한 모델링 방안이 요구된다. 양질의 어플리케이션 시스템을 구축하기 위해서는 우선적으로 모델링이 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 UML을 이용하여, ORDB 기반의 XML 응용을 위한 통합 설계 방법론을 제안한다. 이를 위하여 먼저 UML을 이용하여 XML DTD를 설계하기 위한 XML 모델링 방안을 제시하고, 아울러 교환되는 XML 데이터를 효율적으로 저장하기 위하여 ORDB 스키마 설계를 위한 데이터 모델링 방법을 제안한다.

This paper presents a prototype of document schema to guarantee the consistency of the bridge design information during the life-cycle of bridge. The main component of document schema for bridge design information is derived from the Document Type Definition (DTD) Pool which is the Construction CALS/EC standard in Korea and the document schema is implemented by using the XML Schema. The ifcXML are adopted for representing product data of bridge. A pilot system adopting the document schema and its application to existing bridge show that the suggested document schema can be efficiently used to develop software modules supporting the integrated design documents for bridges.
