A Study on Automatic Detection of the Gross Errors on DSM Using Stereo Image Analysis (스테레오 영상분석에 기반한 DSM 과대오차영역의 자동검출기법연구)

  • In this paper, a method of using high resolution stereo images is proposed to efficiently detect DSM errors. Automatically generated DSMs from stereo matching can be a useful solution to acquire DSM data in various aspects but they may include many gross errors coming from automatic processing. Therefore, a method to detect the gross errors on DSM is required for efficient DSM update. In this paper, stereo analysis using high resolution stereo images was investigated to represent reliability of DSM grids. The analysis enabled automatic detection of the gross errors which greatly influenced DSM quality. We used the reference DSM to assess reliability of our proposed method. We confirmed from experimental results that our method can be a valuable DSM errors analysis for efficient DSM correction. Our method is useful to analyze and improve DSM accuracy for various types of DSM and DEM. It is expected that our approach can be exploited for achievement of reliable DSM and DEM.

Urban Building Change Detection Using nDSM and Road Extraction (nDSM 및 도로망 추출 기법을 적용한 도심지 건물 변화탐지)

  • Recently, as high resolution satellites data have been serviced, frequent DSM (Digital Surface Model) generation over urban areas has been possible. In addition, it is possible to detect changes using a high-resolution DSM at building level such that various methods of building change detection using DSM have been studied. In order to detect building changes using DSM, we need to generate a DSM using a stereo satellite image. The change detection method using D-DSM (Differential DSM) uses the elevation difference between two DSMs of different dates. The D-DSM method has difficulty in applying a precise vertical threshold, because between the two DSMs may have elevation errors. In this study, we focus on the urban structure change detection using D-nDSM (Differential nDSM) based on nDSM (Normalized DSM) that expresses only the height of the structures or buildings without terrain elevation. In addition, we attempted to reduce noise using a morphological filtering. Also, in order to improve the roadside buildings extraction precision, we exploited the urban road network extraction from nDSM. Experiments were conducted for high-resolution stereo satellite images of two periods. The experimental results were compared for D-DSM, D-nDSM, and D-nDSM with road extraction methods. The D-DSM method showed the accuracy of about 30% to 55% depending on the vertical threshold and the D-nDSM approaches achieved 59% and 77.9% without and with the morphological filtering, respectively. Finally, the D-nDSM with the road extraction method showed 87.2% of change detection accuracy.

  • 매년 전력사용량은 증가하고 있으나 발전 공급량은 수요의 증가분을 따라가기는 힘들다. 수요관리(DSM)는 소비자의 전기사용 패턴을 합리적인 방향으로 유도함으로써 부하율 향상을 통한 원가절감과 전력수급 안정에 기여한다. 국내의 전력산업 특성상 DSM은 규제에 의한 DSM이었다. 규제된 DSM 덕택으로 부하율 향상과 에너지이용효율향상을 위한 수요관리 프로그램을 전력회사는 꾸준히 추진해 왔다. 그러나 전력산업의 구조개편후 규제가 완화되면서 전력회사는 수지 타산에 맞는 DSM만 선호하게 될 것이다. 전력회사의 이익에 맞지않는 DSM은 구조개편후 경제원리에 의해 사라져야만 하는가? 비록 전력회사에게는 이익이되지 않지만 사회적으로는 많은 편익을 주는 DSM 프로그램도 상당수 있다. 이 논문에서는 그러한 프로그램의 대표적인 예제라 할 수 있는 고효율 유도전동기에 대해서 DSM프로그램의 각 참여자 입장에서 비용효과적인지를 분석하였다. 그리고 구조개편후 이러한 DSM프로그램이 어떻게 유지되어야 타당한지를 밝히려 한다. 효과분석에서 사용되어지는 소프트웨어 패키지로는 미국의 EPRI연구소에서 개발한 DSManager를 사용하였다.

DSM Generation and Accuracy Analysis from UAV Images on River-side Facilities (UAV 영상을 활용한 수변구조물의 DSM 생성 및 정확도 분석)

  • If the damage analysis on river-side facilities such as dam, river bank structures and bridges caused by disasters such as typhoon, flood, etc. becomes available, it can be a great help for disaster recovery and decision-making. In this research, We tried to extract a Digital Surface Model (DSM) and analyze the accuracy from Unmanned Air Vehicle (UAV) images on river-side facilities. We tried to apply stereo image-based matching technique, then extracted match results were united with one mosaic DSM. The accuracy was verified compared with a DSM derived from LIDAR data. Overall accuracy was around 3m of absolute and root mean square error. As an analysis result, we confirmed that exterior orientation parameters exerted an influence to DSM accuracy. For more accurate DSM generation, accurate EO parameters are necessary and effective interpolation and post process technique needs to be developed. And the damage analysis simulation with DSM has to be performed in the future.

Autism Spectrum Disorder Diagnosis in Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders-5 Compared to Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders-IV

  • Objectives: The objective of this study was to investigate the concordance of Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-IV and DSM-5) diagnostic criteria for autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Methods: We retrospectively reviewed the medical records of 170 subjects (age range: 3-23, 140 boys) with developmental delay or social deficit from January 2011 to July 2016 at the Department of Psychiatry of Asan Medical Center. The Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised (ADI-R), the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS), and intelligence tests were performed for each subject. Diagnosis was reviewed and confirmed for each subject with DSM-IV Pervasive Developmental Disorder (PDD) and DSM-5 ASD criteria, respectively. Results: Fifty-eight of 145 subjects (34.1%) who were previously diagnosed as having PDD in DSM-IV did not meet DSM-5 ASD criteria. Among them, 28 (48.3%) had Asperger's disorder based on DSM-IV. Most algorithm scores on ADOS and all algorithm scores on ADI-R were highest in subjects who met both DSM-IV PDD criteria and DSM-5 ASD criteria (the Convergent group), followed by subjects with a DSM-IV PDD diagnosis who did not have a DSM-5 ASD diagnosis (the Divergent group), and subjects who did not meet either DSM-IV PDD or DSM-5 ASD criteria (the non-PDD group). Intelligence quotient was lower in the Convergent group than in the Divergent group. Conclusion: The results of our study suggest that ASD prevalence estimates could be lower under DSM-5 than DSM-IV diagnostic criteria. Further prospective study on the impact of new DSM-5 ASD diagnoses in Koreans with ASD is needed.

DSM Generation and Accuracy Comparison Using Stereo Matching Based on Image Segmentation (영상 분할 기반의 스테레오 매칭 기법을 이용한 DSM 생성 및 정확도 비교)

  • The purpose of this study is to generate DSM using the stereo matching algorithm of worldview-1 stereo images and verify the accuracy of the generated DSM. To generate DSM, RPC block modeling was performed to correct RPC errors, and image matching was performed using SGM, which is a stereo matching algorithm after the epipolar image was generated. The COST for SGM was calculated by using CENSUS, and 4-paths and 8-paths were applied for COST aggregation in SGM. To verify the quality and accuracy of the generated DSM, it was compared with the LiDAR-derived DSM and the DSM generated by commercial SW. The results showed that the vertical accuracy of the generated DSM using 4-paths of COST aggregation was 1.647 m to 3.689 m (RMSE). In case of using 8-paths of COST aggregation was 1.550 m to 3.106 m (RMSE).

  • 전력회사에서 DSM의 추진을 고려하는 것은 위험예비율 문제를 해결하는 단기적 대책으로서만 아니라 전력공급 코스트의 적정 분담문제와 지구규모의 환경문제등 장기적인 과제를 해결하기 위해서도 그 필요성이 높아져 가고 있다. 미국의 경우 1990년대에 들어서면서부터 DSM은 유력한 전력공급 대안중의 하나로 자리잡기 시작하였으며 규제당국에서도 DSM의 실시를 적극적으로 후원하고 있다. 우리나라에서도 몇년전부터 수요의 급증에 따른 전력수급 압박이 가중되면서 DSM에 보다 큰 관심을 갖게 되어 여러가지 관련 프로그램을 도입.실시하여 나가고 있다. 한편 1993년에는 서울에서 "아시아태평양 지역에서의 DSM의 기회와 전망"이라는 주제로 DSM에 관한 국제대회를 개최하였고 올해도 5월 12일부터 15일까지 경주에서 국제세미나를 개최하는 등 DSM에 대한 최신 정보와 기술을 습득하기 위한 노력을 게을리하지 않고 있다. 본고에서는 현재 세계적으로 가장 적극적으로 DSM을 추진하고 있는 미국을 비롯하여 우리와 자연환경이 비슷한 일본등 선진국의 사례를 살펴봄으로써 우리나라가 새로운 DSM 프로그램을 도입하거나 기존의 프로그램을 확대시행하는데 보탬이 되고자 한다.탬이 되고자 한다.

Development of DSM(Demand Side Management) Monitoring Methodology Considering the Diffusion Process of High Efficient End-Use Appliances (고효율기기의 보급확산을 고려한 전력수요관리 모니터링시스템의 방법론 개발)

  • This paper presents a DSM monitoring methodology that is able to evaluate the impact of DSM programs especially focused on the strategic conservation i.e. the enhancement of end-use energy efficiency. For an effective assessment of DSM programs, it is foremost necessary to examine the market characteristics on the specific end-use appliance according to the customer's adoption of DSM programs. The proposed monitoring methodology contains a diffusion process of high efficient end-uses considering major factors of DSM impact such as, price, reference capacity, forecasted capacity and lifetime of end-use appliances. Case studies show the projection of power reductions and energy savings resulted from DSM monitoring in order to diagnose the current status properly and provide a baseline of DSM policy and analysis.

  • 최근 가상도시, 위치기반시스템 등 여러 분야에서 도심지역의 고해상도 DSM의 수요가 증가하고 있다. 고해상도 DSM을 획득하는데 항공 라이다 측량은 가장 효율적이고 경제적인 방법으로 인정받고 있다. 그러나 레이저 펄스는 도시건물의 모서리와 코너보다는 주로 표면에서 반사되기 때문에 일반적으로 라이다 DSM은 명확한 수직 breakline을 포함하기 힘들다. 이에 본 연구에서는 라이다 데이터와 항공영상의 결합을 통해서 고품질의 도시지역 DSM을 생성하는 새로운 방법을 제안하고자 한다. 제안된 방법은 (1) 서로 다른 두 센서에서 획득된 라이다 데이터와 영상의 기하 정합, (2) 라이다 데이터를 이용한 영상정합, (3) 영상정합을 통해 획득된 지상점과 라이다 데이터를 이용한 DSM 생성순으로 이루어진다. 영상 정합을 위한 지상점의 초기값으로 대상지의 평균고도를 높이로 사용하는 것이 아니라 라이다 데이터로부터 얻어진 높이를 사용한다면 영상 정합이 아주 정밀하게 이루어 질 수 있다. 이와 함께 정합된 영상으로부터 얻어진 지상점은 라이다 데이터 보다 더 높은 밀도를 갖게 된다. 따라서 DSM 생성을 위한 격자에 라이다 데이터와 영상정합의 결과로 얻어진 지상점 모두를 내삽에 이용하여 DSM을 생성하고자 한다.
