  • Many plane, UAV and drone fly in the sky as development of aviation industry. Plane and UAV fly and drone's propellers rotate so fast. Impact between flying objects which have high velocity threats passengers. Also the impact damages people, building and various property. Plane's operating speed is near sound velocity(340m/s), and propeller's rotating speed is less than that. Until now, impact experiment uses gas gun to get speed and the gun needs large space to entirely air expansion. Electromagnetic launcher, especially railgun, needs smaller space than gas gun to get enough speed about 500m/s. This paper explains electromagnetic launcher's operating principle, shows making electromagnetic launcher design guide line and suggests that it is a better apparatus to get low-high velocity.

  • Many computer system; (or program;) have been desigoc>d without taking their users needs into accOlmt To provide a practical and comprehensive introduction to the design and development of user interfaces, desigrer (or developer) is suggested to analyze and evaluate requirements from the view point of users and to design more effective program;. The su~ect of this thesis is to analyze and criticize tre details of Wonder-land, that is a demo multimedia ill-ROM title, in respect to User Interface Design and Development. By applying the coocepts, teclmiques and ideas to a real life study and analyzing and criticizing it from the view point of users, desigrer lets the program revised and developed by users. For User Interface Design and Development purposes this tresis analyzes and criticize the characteristics of the program already made, the current user interface design, mental models and users learning about the program. As a result it is founded that the program requires to be analyzing and criticizing continuously from a cognitive point of view to design and develop it successfully.

A Study on the Determinant Variables of Brand Loyalty Related to Clothing Items (의복품목에 따른 상표충성의 결정변인 연구 - 서울 거주 여성을 중심으로 -)

  • The purposes of this study were 1) to estimate the brand loyalty related to clothing items,2) to investigate the differences between the brand loyal group and the brand disloyal group in 4 determinant variables (product involvement, information source, purchase-related and demo- graphic variables) of brand loyalty, 3) to find out important determinant variables which explain the brand loyalty on clothing items, and 4) to identify product attributes that lead to brand loyalty on clothing items. Four clothing items selected (ortho study were underwear, jean / skirt, T-shirt / sweater, and formal dress / suits. The questionnaire was administered to 529 adult women living in Seoul, and the methods used to analyze the data were Frequency, T-Test, $x^{2}-test$, Factor Analysis and Multiple Discriminant Analysis. The results of this study were as follows: 1) Both behavior and attitude are needed for the measurement of brand loyalty in clothing. The hightes brand loyal item was formal dress / suits, followed by jean / skirt, T-shirt / sweater, underwear. 2) There were some significant differences between the brand loyal group and the brand disloyal group in 4 determinant variables of brand loyalty. 3) The important determinant variables of brand loyalty were perceived risk / brand differ-ence, purchase experience / self-confidence in purchase, and product symbolic / hedonic mean-ing, of which the most important varible was found to be perceived risk / brand difference. 4) The most important product attribute that lead to brand loyalty for underwear was comfort whereas for the other 3 clothing items, it was style. Quality was the second important productattributeforallclothingitems.

  • The history of nuclear fusion research in Korea is rather short compared to that of advanced countries. However, since the mid-1990s, at which time the construction of KSTAR was about to commence, fusion research in Korea has been actively carried out in a wide range of areas, from basic plasma physics to fusion reactor design. The flourishing of fusion research partly owes to the fact that industrial technologies in Korea including those related to the nuclear field have been fully matured, with their quality being highly ranked in the world. Successive pivotal programs such as KSTAR and ITER have provided diverse opportunities to address new scientific and technological problems in fusion as well as to draw young researchers into related fields. The frame of the Korean nuclear fusion program is now changing from a small laboratory scale to a large national agenda. Coordinated strategies from different views and a holistic approach are necessary in order to achieve optimal efficiency and effectiveness. Upon this background, the present paper reflects upon the road taken to arrive at this point and looks ahead at the coming future in nuclear fusion research activities in Korea.

Genetic Diversity and Population Structure of Pseudobagrus fulvidraco in the Nakdong River (낙동강에 분포하는 동자개 집단의 유전적 다양성과 집단구조)

  • Enzyme electrophoresis was used to estimate genetic diversity and population genetic structure of Pseudobagrus fulvidraco in Korea. Nine of the 14 loci (64.3%) showed detectable polymorphism. Genetic diversity at the population and species levels were 0.286 and 0.277, respectively. Analysis of fixation indices, calculated for all polymorphic loci in each population, showed a substantial deficit of hetero-zygotes relative to Hardy-Weinberg expectations. This deficit is expected that it is due to a limited effective number of individuals per population. The average $G_{ST}$ for polymorphic loci was 0.064, indicating that most (93.6%) of the genetic diversity occurred within populations. The indirect estimate of gene flow based on mean $G_{ST}$ was 3.67. Given limited gene flow is expected to diverge genetically due to drift and reduced populations. Most populations in our study experience annual, severe demo-graphic bottlenecks due to drought and floods.

From COREX to FINEX: The Case of Path-revealing Innovation in POSCO (코렉스에서 파이넥스로: 포스코의 경로실현형 기술혁신)

  • This paper examines the development of smelting reduction process in POSCO from 1990 to 2007 with the perspective of post catch-up technological innovation. POSCO paid attention to smelting reduction process as a sort of next-generation iron and steel technology, and implemented COREX (coal ore reduction) by the cooperation with V$\"{o}$oest. In addition to this, POSCO started to develop FINEX (fine iron ore reduction) which can use abundant powder ore, and FINEX was developed through model plant, pilot plant, demo plant, and commercial facility. POSCO came up to innovation leader beyond fast follower by securing almost technologies concerning FINEX. The case of smelting reduction process shows various characteristics including appropriate technological choice, successive scale-up, spiral development system, complementary technological cooperation, long-tenn investment, the existence of top management's leadership, and Korean government's support in early stage. This case can be interpreted as a path-revealing innovation in the middle of technological paradigm change.

  • The user authentication and authorization in the current home network system almost works at home and home users, sometimes novice, should manage the system directly. This situation can make much of troubles, sometimes cause some suity problems. Moreover, the system costs high to build up, demands special user knowledge to maintain. In this paper, we propose the user authentication and authorization system based on remote management server to solve the problems, designed and implemented the system. To verify the system performance and function, we built a demo system for information appliances. The results of the test, the authentication and authorization function works well and reliably.

  • Synthetic Aperture Radar is an active sensor utilizing the microwaves in order to get the requested high resolution imageries day or night regardless of the weather conditions. In this paper, the architecture of a real-time system controller for the airborne small SAR system, KOrea Miniature SAR which was developed by Agency for Defense Development is proposed considering the embedded real-time environment. The main purpose of the system controller is to control the internal and the rest of subsystem within SAR system in real-time. The main characteristics of the proposed system controller were implemented using the real-time operating system and the distributed hardware architecture for the small, low weight and real-time operation. The system controller performance and real-time operation were verified and confirmed by the demo flight with the KT-1 airplane.

KSTAR ICRF 방전세정 플라즈마의 특성분석

  • KSTAR(Korea Superconducting Tokamak Advanced Research) 토카막에 설치되어 있는 ICRF(Ion Cyclotron Range Frequency) 시스템을 이용한 방전세정을 2008년에 이어 2009 KSTAR 플라즈마 campaign 동안에도 시행하였다. ICRF 시스템을 이용한 방전세정인 ICWC(Ion Cyclotron Wall Cleaning)는 ITER와 DEMO 같은 초전도 자석을 이용하는 토카막에서 토카막 shot 중간에 자장을 낮추지 않고 바로 방전 세정을 할 수 있는 방법이다. 토카막에서 방전세정은 탄소나 산소 화합물과 같은 불순물을 제거하여 방사에 의한 플라즈마 냉각을 막고 토카막 초기 start-up시 진공 챔버 벽면으로부터 의도하지 않은 연료주입을 제거하는 역할을 한다. 본 연구에서는 ICWC 방전 세정 플라즈마의 밀도특성과 균일도를 간섭계와 $H_{\alpha}$ line 세기를 통해 관측하고 RGA를 통해서 C, $H_2O$, $O^2$ 불순물의 제거량을 파악하는 한편 토카막의 신뢰성 있는 start-up을 위해 요구되는 벽면에서 토카막 방전가스의 제거량을 HD양을 통해서 조사하였다. 플라즈마 선적분 밀도는 약 $1{\sim}3{\times}10^{17}#/m^2$로 측정되었는데 이는 보통 He을 이용한 방전세정 플라즈마의 밀도에 해당한다. 한편 $H_{\alpha}$ line의 세기를 통해 ICWC 방전 플라즈마의 균일도를 살펴본 결과 안테나 전류띠의 중간이 아닌 끝부분에서 $H_{\alpha}$의 세기가 큰 것으로 나타났는데 이는 ICWC 플라즈마가 Inductive 방전보다는 capacitive 방전에 의해 생성되는 것으로 추정된다. ICWC 방전에서 C, $H_2O$, $O_2$ 불순물의 제거율은 각각 약 $4.2{\times}10^{-5}\;mbar{\cdot}l/sec$, $1.4{\times}10^{-3}\;mbar{\cdot}l/sec$ 그리고 $1.72{\times}10^{-4}\;mbar{\cdot}l/sec$로 각각 나타났는데 ICWC shot이 진행될수록 이 양은 점점 줄어들었다. 대표적인 He/$H_2$, He ICWC 방전 shot인 2118, 2123 shot에서 벽면에서 $D_2$의 제거율은 각각 약 $0.12\;mbar{\cdot}l/sec$$3.9{\times}10^{-3}\;mbar{\cdot}l/sec$로 나타났다. 이는 수소의 첨가로 인해 HD의 형태로 $D_2$의 제거율이 증가되었기 때문이다. 한편 $H_2$의 첨가는 챔버 벽면에 흡착되는 $H_2$ 양을 또한 증가시키므로 차후에 $H_2$ 만을 제거하는 He ICWC를 수행해야 할 것이다.

Proposal of Youngjong-do 112 Block Demo-Plant for Application of Smart Water Grid (SWG 적용성을 위한 영종도 112블록 데모플랜트 구축 방안)

  • 스마트워터그리드(Smart Water Grid; 이하 SWG)란 현재 직면에 있는 물 부족, 물 안보, 물 복지 등 물에 대한 문제를 ICT 기술을 활용하여 물관리의 새로운 패러다임을 제시할 수 있는 융합 기술이다. 즉, SWG는 기존의 수자원 관리 시스템의 한계를 극복하기 위해 첨단 정보통신기술을 이용하는 고효율의 차세대 인프라 시스템으로 다양한 수원을 활용하고 물을 효율적으로 배분 관리 운송하여 수자원의 불균형을 해소하고, 첨단센서네트워크를 이용해 용수관리 전분야에 걸쳐 양방향 실시간으로 용수정보를 감시 대응하여 용수관리와 에너지 효율의 최적화된 메가시티(mega-city)에 적합한 지능형 물관리가 가능할 것으로 예상되는 시스템이다. 따라서 국토교통부 과제로 추진중인 SWG 연구단에서 개발한 스마트 워터 기술을 영종도 112 블록에 적용하여 지역주민의 물복지 향상 및 물 사용자에 대한 소비자 만족도를 높이는데 목적을 두고 데모플랜트를 구축 방안을 수립하였다. 영종도 112블록(인천 운서동 및 운북동 일원)은 인천 공촌정수장에서 해저관로를 지나 영종통합 가압장에서 가압 후 공항신도시배수지에서 물을 공급받고 있는 지역으로 면적은 $17.41km^2$, 인구는 약 17,000명, 물사용량 $8,000m^3$/일, 총관로연장 약 55km, 유수율이 겨우 73.2% 지역이다. SWG 적용성 평가를 위해 영종도 112 블록에 유수율 제고 및 운영비용 저감을 목적으로 데모플랜트를 구축하였다. 스마트 계측을 위해 스마트미터 469개(15~20mm), 디지털미터 172개(25~200mm), 누수유무센서 1개소, 다항목 수질측정기 1개소, 유량계 3개소, 수압계 5개소, AMI 시스템 641개 및 물효율 운영프로그램과 물정보 App서비스 기능으로 구성하였다. 물효율 운영프로그램은 실시간 수요량 예측, 배수지 운영에 따른 취수량, 송수량, 펌프 대수조합 및 운전스케줄링이 가능한 경제적 물공급 스케줄링, 관망상태 감시 및 제어(실시간 유량/수압 분석을 통한 누수분석) 기능이 탑재되어 통합운영센터에서 운영할 계획이다. 데모플랜트 운영을 통해 수자원의 효율적인 배분 및 공급, 유지관리 향상, 운영 비용 최소화 등의 결과를 바탕으로 신도시 및 기존도시의 물관리 정책수립에 활용할 수 있을 뿐만아니라 시간적 공간적 불균형 해소 및 물시장 발전에 크게 기여할 것으로 사료된다.
