The Development of Automatic Design Software for DC Motor Servo Controller (DC 모터 서보 제어기의 자동 설계 S/W 개발)

  • This paper deals with the development of an automatic design software for DC servo motor control, which provides good performance with rapid response and velocity control accuracy. In the proposed method, the design is automatically executed using Matlab, and iterative learning control algorithms are used in the design process. We applied this method to 50W, 100W, 200W, 300W, 500W, 750W, 1.8kW and 4.5kW DC servo motors which are widely used in the industry. We compare the results of the manual tuning design method with that of the automatic design method presented in this paper. From the experimental results, we can find that the performance of the proposed method is better than that of the manual tuning design method.

  • An electric vehicle uses the system to a power source whether it limps a high efficiency, without environmental pollution It coincides the best at the 21th century environmental regulation and energy frugality. The motor control system using DC-DC converter is carried out in this study. The Present control system is structured the better condition than that of the AC-DC converter with DC-AC inverter. Further, a vehicle dynamics analysis is peformed for the case of Mini-Baja it is found that the analysis dynamic system for the Mini-Baja gives a good design parameters.

  • Because of the convenience of variable speed control and proportion of input current and torque, DC servo motor has been used as an actuator. With increasing development speed of robot and factory automation machinery, the actuator of excellent control characteristics is demanded. In this paper, The control characteristics of DC servo motor is tested by Fuzzy control with microprocessor and DC servo motor controller is designed for drive of the cartesian coordinate type robot. The control characteristics experimentation is realized to one axis position, two axes coordinate and circular motion control by experimental equipments.

  • In this paper, we constitute H/W systems for the accurate control of DC servo motor. This H/W systems are designed by applying a simple genetic algorithm (SGA) to the robust $H_{\infty}$ control system and the intelligent Fuzzy control system of DC motor, respectively. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed systems, the characteristics of this systems are analysed and simulated.

  • Robust control for DC motor is needed according to the highest precision of industrial automation. However, when a motor control system with PID controller has an effect of load disturbance, it is very difficult to guarantee the robustness of control system. In this paper, PID-Expert hybrid control method for motor control system as a compensation method solving this problem is presented. If PID control system is stable, the Expert controller is idle. if the error hits the boundary of the constraint. the Expert controller begins operation to force the error back to the constraint set. The disturbance effect decrease remarkably, robust speed control of DC motor using PID-Expert Hybrid controller is demonstrated by the simulation.

  • This paper presents the improvement for speed characteristics of a Brushless DC Motor (BLDCM), it was applied to digital PI control for this. The practical PID control has been widely used to velocity control of DC motors. In this paper, a digital PI controller is used in order to decrease the speed error in constant velocity control of BLDCM. A TMS320C31 DSP is used for the microprocessor of digital PI control. The method using the DSP carry out the real-time control. The DSP has the rapid calculation ability and sampling time used lms. Driving BLDCM used 50W, motor input DC 150V and rotation speed 3000rpm. When BLDCM is to approval for discretion velocity at the acceleration and deceleration driving with any load, it was a feasible for stabilization control. Therefore, the experimental results indicate the superiority and validity of the velocity control by digital PI control.

  • This paper presents a new rotor position estimation method for brushless DC motors. The estimation error of the rotor position clearly provokes the phase shift angle misaligned between the phase current and the back-EMF waveforms, which causes torque ripple in brushless DC motor drives. Such an estimation error can be reduced with the help of the proposed neutral-voltage-based estimation method, which is structured as a closed loop observer. A neutral voltage appearing during the normal mode of the inverter operation is found to be an observable and control table measure, which can be used for estimating an exact rotor position. This neutral voltage is obtained from the DC-link current, the switching logic, and the motor speed values. The proposed algorithm, which can be easily implemented by using a single DC-link current and the motor terminal voltage sensors, is verified by simulation and experiment results.

  • Robust control for DC motor is needed according to the highest precision of industrial automation. However, when a motor control system with PID controller has an effect of load disturbance, it is very difficult to guarantee the robustness of control system. In this paper, PID-Self Tuning control method for motor control system as a compensation method solving this problem is presented. If the PID control system is stable in the sense that the error is inside the constraint set, the supervisory control is idle. If the error hits the boundary of the constraint, the supervisory controller begins operation to force the error back to the constraint set. We prove that the PID-Self Tuning control system is globally stable in the sense that the error is guaranteed to be within the tolerance limits specified by the system designer.

  • Five control methods (Speed Control, PID Gain Scheduling, Loop Time Control, Simple PID, Switching Control) have been applied to the control of an Inline Co-axial valve by the simulation of AMESim. The simulation results have shown that the speed control method is the most stable and the fastest way to reach to the set point in the simulation of the flow control. Moreover, It has been found that the five control methods have the almost same characteristics in the power consumption, the counter electromotive force, and the motor angular velocity. According to the analysis results, the fast and stable control characteristics of the speed control method is the most suitable for the flow control using a inline co-axial valve with a DC(BLCD) motor.

As a compensation method solving this problem, in this paper, PID-neural network hybrid control method for motor control system is presented. The output of neural network controller is determined by error and rate of error change occurring in load disturbance. The robust control of DC servo motor using neural network controller is demonstrated by computer simula tion.a tion.
