직류급전시스템 시험적용 사례를 통한 디지털 직류 보호계전기에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Digital DC Protection Relay through with Field Adoption Test in the DC Distribution System)

  • This study identifies the comparison of Technical specification and Characteristics of DC Protection Relay(ETCPU200) used in DC Distribution System in Korea. ETCPU200 has completed Field Test and approved its capability by finding out causes of recent operations through lately developed digital DC protection relay in parallel operation at Maebong-Substation, Sangbong-Substation, Nakseongdae-Substation, Euljirosaga-Substation, Jegi-Substation and Chongyangri T/P area. It also examines additional features for efficient System Analysis and Operations.

  • DC substation of urban transit supplies a suitable DC power on electricity vehicles by being supplied from KEPCO. DC substation is verified electrical safety of system through pre-operation inspection on electrical installations to be supplied power from KEPCO. However, because test items and method for DC traction system are unprepared on pre-operation inspection, the general safety and performance verification of DC traction system are very insufficient. Therefore this paper analyze the overseas test examples such as factory equipment tests, factory combined tests and railway tests for the safety and performance verification of DC traction system and present a suitable test items and test standard in domestic.

  • 본 논문은 DC 가전기기의 '안정성 규격' 정립을 위한 연구를 수행한다. 첫째, AC 기기와 DC 기기의 차이점을 비교하고 둘째, AC 가전기기의 국제적 안전 규격을 분석한다. 이에 따라 AC 기기가 DC 기기로 변화할 때, DC 안정성의 규격정립을 위한 많은 항목 중 무엇을 어떻게 보완해야 하는지 그 방향과 논점을 AC 기기 규격을 바탕으로 하여 제시한다.

교류전기철도 전력품질 향상을 위한 직.병렬 보상장치 적용에 관한 연구 (Application of Multi-Level Inverter for Improvement of Power Quality in AC 25[kV] Electrified Railway System)

  • 본 논문에서는 병렬 인버터를 통한 고조파 보상은 물론 직렬 인버터로 전압강하 보상 및 부하불평형 문제도 해결할 수 있는 보상설비에 대하여 특성을 분석하였다. 제안하는 설비의 구조와 제어방법을 제시하고, 제어방법의 효과를 검증하기 위하여 전기철도 급전시스템과 보상설비를 모델링하여 모의계산을 수행하여 그 결과를 제시하였으며, 본 논문에서는 기존의 급전선로 전압강하 보상시스템의 단점을 보완하기 위해 DC-Link를 공유하는 직렬과 병력형 인버터를 Scott 변압기 2차 측의 T상과 M상에 두어 다양한 보상 특성을 확인하였다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 시스템은 급전선로의 전기차로 인해 발생하는 고조파전류를 병력인버터를 통해 제거하여 154[kV] 3상 모선으로의 유임을 차단하게 된다. 또한 모선의 선간단락, 일선지락 등의 사호로 발생되는 급전선로의 순간전압강하 혹은 순간전압상승 등을 보상하여 지속적인 전압공급을 가능하게 됨을 확인하였다. 더불어 철도의 기동 등으로 인한 순간적인 전압의 강하에 있어서도 직렬인버터를 통한 보상으로 인해 전압의 지속적인 유지를 확보할 수 있음을 확인하였다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 다양한 보상동작을 수행한 수 있는 제안된 시스템의 동작을 PSCAD/EMTDC를 통해 검증하였으며, 향후 시스템 제작에 따른 특성분석에 용이하게 적용될 것으로 보인다.

  • The advance of traction motor control technology and the complexity of the traction power supply system makes the simulation essential in determining the dimension of the traction power supply system. The conventional method, use of the simplified and/or empirical equations, becomes inadequate in optimization of the design. The simulator presented in this paper is a numerical time based simulator running on a PC. The input to the simulator includes the track data, the train characteristic, network data and operating data. Basically the simulator conducts train running simulation and loadflow study repeatedly. The principle algorithms and its output is discussed in the paper.

  • This paper presents general concept of DC switch gear(DCSWGR). Normally, DCSWGR consist of Digital protection unit(DPU), High Speed Circuit Breaker(HSCB), Disconnect Switch (DS), Programmable Logic Control(PLC), Auxiliary Relays and etc. Most of the components has its special characteristics and their interface between each others are various and complex. In this paper every constituent general design are preceded and interface between each component are examined. And also DCSWGR operation logic with logical diagram including interlock signal are introduced.

  • DC traction power system is operated ungrounded to minimize the stray current. This causes rail potential increase and makes hazardous condition to the person in touch with running rails. To prevent the hazardous condition, maximum allowable limits on rail potential rise are set by regulations in advanced foreign countries. In this paper, the simplified calculation methods for the rail potential rise and the stray currents are discussed.

  • There are several protective relays used to protect DC traction power supply system for DC railway. These relays, however, are made by different manufactures and they have different ways for their operations. Therefore, there are difficulties for cooperation between the devices or the devices and an upper system. In order to increase interoperability and stability of the system composed of devices made by different manufactures, IEC 61850 international standards are applied to design logical nodes for modeling protective elements used in protective relays.

  • Hybrid distribution system is able to use existing AC load under AC power and DC power by providing existing AC power and proper DC voltage at the same time. and, the future expected DC appliance is also available. Hybrid distribution system is divided into two different type. the one is DC common method and the other is AC common method. This paper design each system, and study operating characteristics for improving energy efficiency.

  • The DC electric power system is the most important power source in a metro railway system. As metro railway system is expanded recently, the importance of DC electric power system is emphasized. Furthermore, the study for systemization and standardization of design and operation technique in DC electric power system is undergoing nowadays. For these studies, the development of standard analysis model for metro railway electric power system is required. In this paper, a standard analysis model for metro railway electric power system which is using PSCAD/EMTDC program is developed. The developed model is explained and the validity is shown by using the case studies.
