The Blog Ranking Algorithm Reflecting Trend Index (트렌드 지수를 반영한 블로그 랭킹 알고리즘)

  • The growth of blogs has two aspect of providing various information and marketing. This study collected the rankings of blog posts of large portal using OpenAPI and investigated the features of blogs ranked through the exploratory data analysis technique. As a result of the analysis, it was found that the influence of the blogger and the recent creation date of the post were highly influential factors in the top rank. Due to the weakness of these evaluation algorithms, there was a problem of showing the search results which is concentrated to the power blogger's post. In this study, we propose an algorithm that improves the reliability of content by adding the reliability DB information which is verified by the experts and reflects the fairness of the application of the ranking score through the trend index indicating various public interests. Improved algorithms have made it possible to provide more reliable information in the search results of the relevant field and have an effect of making it difficult to manipulate ranking by illegal applications that increase the number of visitors.

GIS-based Market Analysis and Sales Management System : The Case of a Telecommunication Company (시장분석 및 영업관리 역량 강화를 위한 통신사의 GIS 적용 사례)

  • A Geographic Information System(GIS) is a system that captures, stores, analyzes, manages and presents data with reference to geographic location data. In the later 1990s and earlier 2000s it was limitedly used in government sectors such as public utility management, urban planning, landscape architecture, and environmental contamination control. However, a growing number of open-source packages running on a range of operating systems enabled many private enterprises to explore the concept of viewing GIS-based sales and customer data over their own computer monitors. K telecommunication company has dominated the Korean telecommunication market by providing diverse services, such as high-speed internet, PSTN(Public Switched Telephone Network), VOLP (Voice Over Internet Protocol), and IPTV(Internet Protocol Television). Even though the telecommunication market in Korea is huge, the competition between major services providers is growing more fierce than ever before. Service providers struggled to acquire as many new customers as possible, attempted to cross sell more products to their regular customers, and made more efforts on retaining the best customers by offering unprecedented benefits. Most service providers including K telecommunication company tried to adopt the concept of customer relationship management(CRM), and analyze customer's demographic and transactional data statistically in order to understand their customer's behavior. However, managing customer information has still remained at the basic level, and the quality and the quantity of customer data were not enough not only to understand the customers but also to design a strategy for marketing and sales. For example, the currently used 3,074 legal regional divisions, which are originally defined by the government, were too broad to calculate sub-regional customer's service subscription and cancellation ratio. Additional external data such as house size, house price, and household demographics are also needed to measure sales potential. Furthermore, making tables and reports were time consuming and they were insufficient to make a clear judgment about the market situation. In 2009, this company needed a dramatic shift in the way marketing and sales activities, and finally developed a dedicated GIS_based market analysis and sales management system. This system made huge improvement in the efficiency with which the company was able to manage and organize all customer and sales related information, and access to those information easily and visually. After the GIS information system was developed, and applied to marketing and sales activities at the corporate level, the company was reported to increase sales and market share substantially. This was due to the fact that by analyzing past market and sales initiatives, creating sales potential, and targeting key markets, the system could make suggestions and enable the company to focus its resources on the demographics most likely to respond to the promotion. This paper reviews subjective and unclear marketing and sales activities that K telecommunication company operated, and introduces the whole process of developing the GIS information system. The process consists of the following 5 modules : (1) Customer profile cleansing and standardization, (2) Internal/External DB enrichment, (3) Segmentation of 3,074 legal regions into 46,590 sub_regions called blocks, (4) GIS data mart design, and (5) GIS system construction. The objective of this case study is to emphasize the need of GIS system and how it works in the private enterprises by reviewing the development process of the K company's market analysis and sales management system. We hope that this paper suggest valuable guideline to companies that consider introducing or constructing a GIS information system.

  • Pursuing sustainable development throughout society and industry and the field of environmental policy, each international organization or nation has performed international standardization projects on environmental management activities for their system as well as environmental assessment for a product such as life cycle assessment (LCA) and life cycle inventory database (LCI DB), and the environmental aspects have been increasingly demanded as crucial evaluation specifications. Moreover, the conventional environmental policy, which represents the direct-control, has been more dependent on the market forces and product itself after the Climate Change Convention., and the Integrated Product Policy (IPP, EU) is applied vigorously to strengthen global competitiveness of a product and to achieve the effect of environmental improvement for it. According to change of the international railway market, the value of Eco-Design has been increasingly important in developed countries including EU. Thus, each country is establishing its own guidelines, software and database for each product, and developing new policies through Eco-Design with practical results in marketing. To react this and develop Korean railway as an environment-friendly industry with priority to other transportation system as well as maintain high place in technology, the direction of RACE software development of main function is introduced, which is exclusively used for EMU to assess both environmental and economic aspects with LCA and eco-efficiency (EE).

  • The Inno-NET, which is based on the Internet and up-to-date information technology, is a consolidated system to provide business-related information and to solve the difficulties in business activities. In particular, the Inno-NET is an information system to integrate such business information for enterprise as start-up, financing, technology development, recruiting, site acquisition, marketing, trade and investment and so on, in order to help companies solve their problems and make up for their weak points. Accordingly, the Inno-NET will systematically connect supporting agencies and innovative enterprises, thus guaranteeing the exchange of information among them and coordinating the business. The supporting agencies will be included government offices, public organizations, research institutes, universities, and industrial associations all over the ministries.   • 요즘 전자상거래의 활성화로 전 세계적으로 인터넷 쇼핑몰과 경매 사이트를 운영하는 곳이 많이 있다. 하지만 사용하던 물건을 팔고 새로운 상품을 구매하려고 한다면 일반적으로 중고 물건을 파는 사이트를 찾아서 그곳에서 물건을 팔고 다시 다른 인터넷 쇼핑몰에서 물건을 사야하는 번거러움이 있다. 그리고 쇼핑몰 사이트의 관리자 입장에서는 판매부진상품이나 이원상품 등을 관리하기 어렵다. 또 기존에 구축되어 있는 맡은 쇼핑몰과 경매사이트의 데이터베이스의 활용도를 보면 저장된 상품을 보여주고. 판매가 되면 삭제되는 역할에 국한된 경우가 많다. 본 논문에서는 전자상거래의 사용자가 인터넷을 보다 간편하게 이용하고 사용자가 등록한 중고물품, 쇼핑몰의 판매부진상품, 이월상품의 경매로 인한 구매자의 참여를 위해 쇼핑몰과 경매 사이트를 통합하여 운영하고, 지금까지의 공통적이고 일반적인 내용의 E-mail 마케팅을 데이터 베이스 통계분석에 의해 차별화 되고 집중적인 E-mail 마케팅으로 구현한다.

A Study on the State of Webzine Publications in Korean University Libraries (대학도서관의 웹진 발행실태에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the current state of webzine publications in Korean university libraries. We assess the menu, composition and contents of various types of webzines at thirty six different Korean university libraries. Highlights of our survey include the following: 1) Most university libraries operate several different webzine sites. 2) Categories included in library webzines mainly include 'Notices', 'Academic Database Information', 'Current Books', 'Recommended Reading', 'Utilization of Information', 'Book Review', 'Tips for Using the Library', 'Special Issues', 'Service Information', 'Quiz', 'Column', 'Special Events'. 3) Of these, the most popular categories were: 'Notices', 'Service Information', 'Tips for Using the Library', 'Special Issues', and 'Recommended Reading'.

Review of Nursing Start-Up Literacy (간호창업에 대한 리터러시 고찰)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to provide an overview of the present status of start-up literacy. Methods: The study selected literature from KoreaMed, RISS (Research Information Sharing Service), KISS (Korean studies Information Service System), KISTI (Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information), Ovid-MEDLINE (Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online), Embase, and Cochrane Library DB. Start-up curricula were collected from the homepage of nursing schools in Korea and the USA. Their contents were searched using Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) platforms; KOCW, K-MOOC, and Coursera. Results: Fifteen articles were selected through a systematic literature review. The main themes of nursing start-up were "driver," "barrier," "required competency," and "importance of education." The courses contained business planning, finance, marketing, leadership, and entrepreneurship. The main contents of MOOCs were similar. Conclusion: The results indicate the necessity to develop multi-scope nursing start-up education programs. Nursing start-up models integrated with appropriate business knowledge and skills in health care settings are needed. This study can be used as a guideline to design start-up education programs in nursing.

  • This study derived the policy implications and market strategies by analysis the e-book companies requirements & the CPND value chain structure, in order to revitalize the e-book market in Korea. Specifically, we examined the prospect of e-book market in Korea, current situations of production and distribution, awareness of service utilization and requirements for support policy with targets of 30 companies. As a research, the most needed item for e-book companies is 'PR and marketing support to enter and open the markets'(27%), which is the highest. 'Financial support such as labor costs and business expenses', 'support for retraining personnel to develop the expertise in respective fields' are followed and they account for 22%. Currently, the most effective support item is the external support program(35%) and funding power(30%) is followed. Unlike a paper book market, e-book is turned into a platform business in terms of the value chain. Based on these research content, e-book market activation and corporate competitive strategy was derived as follows : 1)literacy reinforcement about SNS marketing and e-pub3 authoring tool. 2)statistical DB construction of retail sales channels. 3)diversification of the billing system. 4)The quality of the e-book content certification.

  • RFID and Kiosk has been acquiring the essential position not only for providing simple information but also as the tool for establishing Ubiquitous based society. Especially it can be said that the time for developing various Kiosks as important methods to conducting marketing and service through the differentiation and easiness on dealing information has come. Considering the present requirement, 'U-Commerce System' has been designed and developed. In the system, the RFID reader installed in 'U-Shop Kiosk System' recognizes the RFID tag on situated the specific products and detail product information and related multimedia advertisement are provided. Moreover, when the customers have the needs to purchase concerned products on the spot, they can pay and order by using credit cards. By employing the system, the amount of stock and delivery condition can be monitored in real time and the gathered information in DB can be used for dealing with stock related matters. In addition, a system can be developed to monitor and manage the remote shops in real time base. Furthermore, to overcome the limit of simple unmanned ubiquitous style Kiosk, the possibility of developing an expansion model of ubiquitous style CRM Kiosk has been suggested.

  • Recently, the expert call center solution has become the center of interest, since finance and tele-marketing system, which is focused on a communication industry, have been increasing, Specially, the call center market is growing up with a supporting Caller-ID for a cellular phone in Korea, In the present, although large size companies are developing expensive solutions and instruments to service only for the big companies, there little solutions for SOHO markets, Therefore, in this paper we have shown a design and an implementation of a CTI system which is capable of in/outbound call processing by using CTI, and providing stable services by linking the customer's DB. And these functionalities have become possible by integrating functions of PBX and the computer control of the PBX. First, we have constructed call flows and analyzed packets for the standard communication through the PBX in call. Then, we have designed and implemented a middleware which linked a call between a client and a customer. Finally, we have constructed a database module for applying the CRM technology to the management of customer's contents.
