Linking Toponym Database with Digital Map Database (지명 활용을 위한 지명 DB와 수치지도 DB의 연계 방안 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was building a new method for map making with a toponym by connecting a toponym DB with a digital topographic map DB. First, the table of toponym history in the toponym DB was revised. Second, a table linking the toponym DB and the digital topographic map DB was added. To integrate the toponym DB and the digital topographic map DB, a loose-coupling method was suggested and the combination of legal Dong and a toponym could be used as ID for liking those two databases. Thus, the method presented in this study would be used for effective map making using a toponym. Through the improvement of a toponym DB, it is expected the active use of the toponym DB such as map making.

  • WPS/PQR is the essential documents for shipbuilding welding. WPS is the document containing the information related to welding procedure and PQR is the record of approval for welding procedure. Both documents should be approved by the ship owners and the classification societies. It is very important to manage these documents because the welding procedure using these documents could not be carried out before they are approved. Database is an useful tool to manage these documents. It can manage a number of documents and show the processing status of WPS/PQR documents. In this study, all documents related to WPS/PQR documents were investigated and analyzed in the viewpoint of DB. An appropriate DB system was designed for WPS/PQR and the related documents on the basis of CBD methodology. The DB system could make WPS/PQR documents easily and shortly. The grasp of the processing status of WPS/ PQR could help the good management of fabrication schedule in shipbuilding.

  • The importance of LCC analysis has been enlarged. Also, it would be necessary to computerize LCC analysis for accurate and logical analysis of LCC. In other papers, they showed LCC analysis model but the study of database development which could be applied in LCC analysis have been undeveloped. As a result, the final goal of this study is to develope LCC database. And this progress is devided 4 steps as design, construction, maintenance and disposal and derived the detailed cost item in the progresses. Futhermore, it would be possible to develope cost DB, fluent DB, general DB, building section DB, material DB and to propose database which would be applied in accurate and logical analysis of LCC.

  • Recently Big Data management have a rapid increases interest in IT field, much research conducting to solve a problem of real-time processing to Big Data. Lots of resources are required for the ability to store data in real-time over the network but there is the problem of introducing an analyzing system due to aspect of high cost. Need of redesign of the system for low cost and high efficiency had been increasing to solve the problem. In this paper, the document type of database, MongoDB, is used for design a log management system based a document type of database, that is good at big data managing. The suggested log management system is more efficient than other method on log collection and processing, and it is strong on data forgery through the performance evaluation.

통계 데이타베이스의 보호에 관한 조사 연구

  • 정보화 사회에서는 가계, 기업, 정보 등의 정보 활동의 주체들이 가진 정보자산은 데이타 베이스(이하DB)와 소프트웨어(S/W)로 대변할 수 있으며, 이중 DB는 정보화 사회의 기반시설의 하나라고 볼 수 있다. 특별히 통계DB는 각 주체들에게는 필수적인 정보를 갖고 있다. 금융자산의 정보, 국방에 관련된 병력, 장비, 군수물자등의 정보, 회계정보 뿐 아니라 인구센서스, 경제계획수립 등등의 다양한 분야에 이 통계 DB는 사용되고 있다. 이러한 통계DB는 기존의DB에서의 데이타의 저장, 관리, 추출 기능외에 통계적인 데이타의 분석기능이 요구되고 있다. 통계 처리를 위한 데이타베이스관리 시스템(DBMS, database management system)은 주로 기존의 DBMS 에 통계처리를 위한 기능을 추가하거나 통계를 위한 DB를 따로 구축하는 방법을 사용하고 있다. 따라서 일반적인 DB 보호 기술과 더불어 통계 의 환경을 이해하는 보호 기술이 요구되고 있다. 일반적으로 DB 를 보호하는 방법으로는 물리적인 보안(physical security)과 운영체계 보안(operating system security) 이 있으며, 이들과 함께 데이타 암호화(data encryption)의 방법을 사용하고 있다. DB 의 보안 방법에 관한 연구 중 George I. Davida 등에 의한 방법은 중국인의 나머지 정리(chinese remainder thorem)를 사용하는 암호화 알고리즘을 이용하여 레코드(record) 단위의 암호화를 하며, Khamis A. Omar등에 의한 방법은 읽기, 쓰기, 갱신의 3단계의 사용자 등급을 부여하여 DB 접근의 제약을 가하는 기능을 갖고 있다. 본고에서는 특히 그 중요성이 더해가고 있는 통계 의 일반적인 개념을 살펴보며, 특성 지향형 질의 모델(characteristic-specified query model)의 보호기술을 살펴본다. 특별히 본고는 통계 DB의 보호에 대한 일반적인 조사 연구로서 잘 알려진 사실들을 많은 참고 문헌과 더불어 소개하는 내용으로 통계 DB의 보호에 관한 새로운 연구 결과는 아니다.

Development of RIMS and Present Conditions of its DB (암반정보관리시스템(RIMS)의 개발 및 DB 현황)

  • Although there have been lots of geological or geotechnical surveys for construction sites, most of data obtained from these surveys have not been reused properly for the future construction work due to the absence of systematic management of data management system. This research, therefore, has focused on the development of DB system, Rockmass Information Management System(RIMS), to save, manage and reuse these abandoned data, specially test data of rock and rockmass with site conditions. RIMS has not only the basic functions of inputting, modifying, and dynamic searching of data but also several data control modules which can manage, input and correct, analyse and report data. Furthermore it saves data such as strata status, laboratory test results, in-site test results, and so on using 3-dimensional data stacking up structure. It is using x, y coordinates to represent horizontal positions and depth to represent vertical position of data. With the development of RIMS, this research has analyzed and classified present conditions of data in RIMS according to region, rock type, etc.

A Study on Construction and Utilization Plan of Underground Spatial Information DB for Earthquake Disaster Prevention (지진방재를 위한 지하공간정보 DB 구축 및 활용 방안 연구)

  • Looking at the changes in the earthquake of 33 years of South Korea, earthquake in the magnitude of 3.0 or stronger have been conducted about nine times a year on average, and the epicenter of the earthquake is moving towards the inland from the coast. As the possibility of earthquakes increase, it is time to require utilization of underground space integrated information for earthquake disaster prevention. But, now the data related to the characterization of the ground and geology in the areas weak against earthquakes is insufficient, so we need to collect new geology and the ground survey data on nationwide scale and have to establish earthquake disaster prevention plans through the joint use of the existing underground space information. In this study, we determined the scope of construction of underground space DB information that is needed for earthquake disaster prevention, presented the construction plan of DB static and dynamic information of underground space. It also suggested the utilization of underground space scheme information for built earthquake disaster prevention. The underground space information for earthquake disaster prevention that was built through determining the scope and constructing, planning the utilization of underground space information is supposed to used as DB of the integrated management system of underground space and steep slopes information for steep slopes and earthquake prevention by Emergency Management Agency.

Estimation of a Nationwide Statistics of Hernia Operation Applying Data Mining Technique to the National Health Insurance Database (데이터마이닝 기법을 이용한 건강보험공단의 수술 통계량 근사치 추정 -허니아 수술을 중심으로-)

  • Objectives: The aim of this study is to develop a methodology for estimating a nationwide statistic for hernia operations with using the claim database of the Korea Health Insurance Cooperation (KHIC). Methods: According to the insurance claim procedures, the claim database was divided into the electronic data interchange database (EDI_DB) and the sheet database (Paper_DB). Although the EDI_DB has operation and management codes showing the facts and kinds of operations, the Paper_DB doesn't. Using the hernia matched management code in the EDI_DB, the cases of hernia surgery were extracted. For drawing the potential cases from the Paper_DB, which doesn't have the code, the predictive model was developed using the data mining technique called SEMMA. The claim sheets of the cases that showed a predictive probability of an operation over the threshold, as was decided by the ROC curve, were identified in order to get the positive predictive value as an index of usefulness for the predictive model. Results: Of the claim databases in 2004, 14,386 cases had hernia related management codes with using the EDI system. For fitting the models with applying the data mining technique, logistic regression was chosen rather than the neural network method or the decision tree method. From the Paper_DB, 1,019 cases were extracted as potential cases. Direct review of the sheets of the extracted cases showed that the positive predictive value was 95.3%. Conclusions: The results suggested that applying the data mining technique to the claim database in the KHIC for estimating the nationwide surgical statistics would be useful from the aspect of execution and cost-effectiveness.

  • Recently the life and property damage caused by urban inundation have increased. In order to prevent the damage by inundation the researches for displaying the flooded areas through integrating SWMM and GIS have been progressed. However most of flood analysis systems only have used the GIS to display the flooded areas, and don't provide the integration disaster information to prevent the inundation. In this paper, we design a prototype for the Map Viewer based Spatial DB for the integrated urban floooded area management system. And we implement the spatial DB conversion module.
