  • The capacitive coupling technique has been used as conventional method for PD detection on the power cable line. Recently, however PD measurement using by high frequency is known to have an excellent sensitivity comparison with low frequency on-site. In this paper, the high frequency characteristic of two type of metal foil sensor was studied and the technique was proved to be more effective diagnostic method than conventional method for qualification of EHV cable and accessories.

  • This paper deals with the robust two-degree-of-freedom multivariable control system using $H_{2}/H{\infty}$optimization method which can achieve the robust stability and the robust performance, simultaneously. The feedback controller can obtain the robust stability property. The feedforward controller can obtain the robust performance property under modelling error. The robust two-degree-of-freedom multivariable control system is applied to the nonlinear multivariable boiler-turbine system. The validity of the proposed method is verified though being compared with LQG/LTR design method.

  • A new method, the external resistance method (ERM method), is proposed for accurate extraction of the gate bias-dependent effective channel carrier mobility (${\mu}_{eff}$) and separated parasitic source/drain resistances ($R_S$ and $R_D$) of n-channel MOSFET's. The proposed ERM method is applied to n-channel LDD MOSFETs with two different gate lengths ($W_m/L_m=30{\mu}m/0.6{\mu}m,\;30{\mu}m/1{\mu}m$) in the linear mode of current-voltage characteristics ($I_D-V_{GS},\;V_{DS}$). We also considered gate voltage dependence of separated $R_2$ and $R_D$ in the accurate modeling and extraction of effective channel carrier mobility. Good agreement of experimental data is observed in submicron n-channel LDD MOSFETs. Combining with capacitance-voltage characteristics, the ERM method is expected to be very useful for accurate and efficient extraction of ${\mu}_{eff},\;R_D,\;R_S$, and other characteristic parameters in both symmetric and asymmetric structure MOSFET's in which parasitic resistances are critical to the improvement of high speed performance and reliability.

  • The cautious blasting works had been used with emulsion explosion electric M/S delay caps. Drill depth was from 3m to 6m with Crawler Drill ${\phi}70mm$ on the calcalious sand stone (soft -modelate -semi hard Rock). The total numbers of test blast were 88. Scale distance were induced 15.52-60.32. It was applied to propagation Law in blasting vibration as follows. Propagtion Law in Blasting Vibration $V=K(\frac{D}{W^b})^n$ were V : Peak partical velocity(cm/sec) D : Distance between explosion and recording sites(m) W : Maximum charge per delay-period of eight milliseconds or more (kg) K : Ground transmission constant, empirically determind on the Rocks, Explosive and drilling pattern ets. b : Charge exponents n : Reduced exponents where the quantity $\frac{D}{W^b}$ is known as the scale distance. Above equation is worked by the U.S Bureau of Mines to determine peak particle velocity. The propagation Law can be catagorized in three groups. Cubic root Scaling charge per delay Square root Scaling of charge per delay Site-specific Scaling of charge Per delay Plots of peak particle velocity versus distoance were made on log-log coordinates. The data are grouped by test and P.P.V. The linear grouping of the data permits their representation by an equation of the form ; $V=K(\frac{D}{W^{\frac{1}{3}})^{-n}$ The value of K(41 or 124) and n(1.41 or 1.66) were determined for each set of data by the method of least squores. Statistical tests showed that a common slope, n, could be used for all data of a given components. Charge and reduction exponents carried out by multiple regressional analysis. It's divided into under loom over loom distance because the frequency is verified by the distance from blast site. Empirical equation of cautious blasting vibration is as follows. Over 30m ------- under l00m ${\cdots\cdots\cdots}{\;}41(D/sqrt[2]{W})^{-1.41}{\;}{\cdots\cdots\cdots\cdots\cdots}{\;}A$ Over 100m ${\cdots\cdots\cdots\cdots\cdots}{\;}121(D/sqrt[3]{W})^{-1.66}{\;}{\cdots\cdots\cdots\cdots\cdots}{\;}B$ where ; V is peak particle velocity In cm / sec D is distance in m and W, maximLlm charge weight per day in kg K value on the above equation has to be more specified for further understaring about the effect of explosives, Rock strength. And Drilling pattern on the vibration levels, it is necessary to carry out more tests.

  • Recently, many researchers have been studied a D.I. diesel engine because of the exhaust gas restriction and fuel consumption performance. It is well known that the fuel injection characteristics are the key factors on the diesel combustion and exhaust emission. In this study, the fuel injection characteristics of 5-hole injector and the combustion characteristics are investigated with the amount of fuel by means of the visualization method and visualization D.I. diesel engine system. As the results of the experiments, the spray pattern of the fuel injection and the diffusion flame of a D.I. diesel engine are clarified. In addition, combustion phenomena with operation conditions such as engine speed and engine load are made clear.

Implementation of Linear Power Amplifier with 1.9 GHz for PCS Basestation (1.9 GHZ PCS 기지국용 선형 전력증폭기의 제작)

  • In this paper, We designed and implemented a linear high-power amplifier which can be used for the commercial service in band of $1.9GHz(1.93{\sim}1.99GHz)$ at U.S.A. The output power of the implemented linear high power amplifier is 25W. In order to satisfy IMD characters decided by FCC, the Feedforward linearization techniques has been used. The used feedforward method has improved the IMD characteristics from 10.51dBc to 19.01dBc in each power level from 1W(30dBm) to 25W(44dBm). The IMD level of the final output shows from minimum 64.84dBc to maximum 68.17dBc. Because this good characteristics of IMD, the LPA is expected to use as a commercial product of PCS base station.
