Desalination Effects of Capacitive Deionization Process Using Activated Carbon Composite Electrodes (활성 탄소 복합 전극을 이용한 Capacitive Deionization 공정의 제염 효과)

  • Desalination effects of Capacitive deionization(CDI) process using activated carbon $TiO_2$ composite electrode. In this study, we made the activated carbon electrod and activated carbon $TiO_2$ composite electrode, which analysed at cyclic voltammetry and charge-discharge. The results measured for discharge capacitance in cyclic voltammetry were 125 F/g in activated carbon electrode and capacitance of activatd carbon composite electrode was increased about two time, 243 F/g. The $TiO_2$ content of activated carbon composite electrode was 10 wt.%. When it was added wtih TiO2, electric double layer adsorption content was increased, so it was increased 25% in ion removal ratio of activated carbon electrode.

Establishment of $F_o-value$ Criterion for Canned Smoked-Oyster In Cottonseed Oil (훈제 굴 통조림의 가열살균기준 설정에 관한 연구)

  • [ $F_o-value$ ] of canned smoked-oyster in cottonseed oil (SOCO) were measured using a microcomputer aided $F_o-value$ measuring system, and the microbiological safety of the canned SOCO was evaluated to optimize the energy consumption. Most of the microorganisms in raw oyster were saprophytes. No microorganisms were detected from the canned SOCO which was pretreated by conventional procedure and sterilized at $110^{\circ}C$ with $F_o-value$ of 5.92min and over. The most heat resistant microflora isolated from the raw oyster was Bacillus sp.. D-value at $121.1^{\circ}C$ and z-value of spores of Bacillus sp. in the SOCO homogenate were 4.10min and $10,91^{\circ}C$, respectively. After 120 days storage at $50^{\circ}C$, no growth of microorganisms was recognized from the canned SOCO with $F_o-value$of 5.92min.

Effect of AC Electric Field on Decreasing Liftoff Height in Laminar Lifted Jet Flames (층류 부상 화염의 화염부상 높이 감소 구간에서 교류 전기장이 인가된 화염에 관한 영향)

  • An experimental study has been conducted to elucidate the effect of AC electric field on behaviors of laminar lifted flame in nitrogen-diluted methane coflow-jets. Our concerns are focued on the regime to show a decrease in liftoff height, $H_L$ with increasing nozzle exit velocity, $U_O$ (hereafter, $decreasing-H_L$). The $H_L$ with $U_O$ near flame extinction were measured by varying the applied AC voltage, $V_{AC}$ and frequency, $f_{AC}$ in a single electrode configuration. The behavior of $H_L$ with a functional dependency of $V_{AC}$ and $f_{AC}$ was categorized into two regime : (I) $H_L$ decreased for nozzle diameter, D = 1.0 mm, and (II) $H_L$ increased in the increase of $f_{AC}$ for a fixed $V_{AC}$ in a D = 4.0, 8.4 mm. The lifted flames in $decreasing-H_L$ region was unstable in high voltage regimes while the $H_L$ showed a decreasing tendency with $U_O$ except them. Such behaviors in $H_L$ were also characterized by functional dependencies of related physical parameters such as $V_{AC}$, $f_{AC}$, $U_O$, fuel mole fraction ($X_{F.O}$) and D.

  • Linear free energy relation ship(LFER) on the insecticidal activity of O,O-diethylphenylphosphate (A) and 3,5-dimethylphenyl-O,O-diethylphosphate (B) derivatives were studied by EHT MO calculation method and regression analysis method. LFER between varying substituent constants and $pI_{50}$ constants of phosphates, (A) & (B) were calculated with applying Hammett, Okamoto-Brown, Taft and Swain-Lupton's DSP equations;percent resonance effect(R) and field effect(F) of (A) were %R=33.5 & %F=66.5 and also that of (B) were %R=2 & %F=98, respectively. On the basis of above findings, the insecticidal activities were similar for both (A) and (B), but (B) have larger field and inductive contribution than (A), due to the 3,5-dimethyl group of (B).

Das Verstehen der deutschen $K\"{o}rpersprache$ mit Interjektionen (감탄사를 수반한 독일인 신체언어 읽기)

  • In der vorliegenden Arbeit wurde die Auffassung motiviert, dass es sich bei der deutschen $K\"{o}rpersprache$ in semiotischer Hinsicht um kommunikative Geste handelt. Die semio-syntaktischen, -semantischen und -pragmatischen Charakteristika dieser Geste wurden erortert. Insbesondere die ermittelten syntaktischen und semantischen Eigenschaften der $K\"{o}rpersprache\;sprechen\;f\"{u}r$ die Auffassung, dass sie in semio-syntaktischer, -semantischer und -pragmatischer Hinsicht mit Interjektionen $verkn\"{u}pfen\;k\"{o}nnen$. Beispielsweise wurde eine deutsche Geste 'Telefone handhaben' $angef\"{u}hrt$. Bei dieser Geste tritt eine deutsche vokalische Interjektion 'Klingeling' auf. Diese Geste stellt drei Ausdrucksvariationen(1- 3) und vier Bedeutungsvaritionen(A-D) dar: 1) Die Faust neben das Ohr halten, 2) Daumen neben das Ohr und Kleinfinger neb en den Mund halten und 3) Mit dem Zeigefinger var dem $K\"{o}rper$ frontal kreisen; A) Telefonieren thematisieren, B) Einen Telefonanruf aufforden, C) Zu einen Telefonanruf aufforden und D) Den Eingang eines Anrufs an zeigen. Mit Hilfe der semiotischen Gestenanalyse $k\"{o}nnen$ die deutschen $K\"{o}rpersprache$ mit Interjektionen alphabetisch geordnet werden, und die Gestenliste soll $f\"{u}r$ den DaF-Unterricht von Nutzen sein.

Study on the Preparation of TiO2 3D Nanostructure for Photocatalyst by Wet Chemical Process (습식화학공정에 의한 광촉매용 TiO2 3차원 나노구조체 제조 연구)

  • In this work, TiO2 3D nanostructures (TF30) were prepared via a facile wet chemical process using ammonium hexafluorotitanate. The synthesized 3D TiO2 nanostructures exhibited well-defined crystalline and hierarchical structures assembled from TiO2 nanorods with different thicknesses and diameters, which comprised numerous small beads. Moreover, the maximum specific surface area of TiO2 3D nanostructures was observed to be 191 ㎡g-1, with concentration of F ions on the surface being 2 at%. The TiO2 3D nanostructures were tested as photocatalysts under UV irradiation using Rhodamine B solution in order to determine their photocatalytic performance. The TiO2 3D nanostructures showed a higher photocatalytic activity than that of the other TiO2 samples, which was likely associated with the combined effects of a high crystallinity, unique features of the hierarchical structure, a high specific surface area, and the advantage of adsorbing F ions.

On the Fekete-Szegö Problem for a Certain Class of Meromorphic Functions Using q-Derivative Operator

  • In this paper, we obtain $Fekete-Szeg{\ddot{o}}$ inequalities for certain class of meromorphic functions f(z) for which $-{\frac{(1-{\frac{{\alpha}}{q}})qzD_qf(z)+{\alpha}qzD_q[zD_qf(z)]}{(1-{\frac{{\alpha}}{q}})f(z)+{\alpha}zD_qf(z)}{\prec}{\varphi}(z)$(${\alpha}{\in}{\mathbb{C}}{\backslash}(0,1]$, 0 < q < 1). Sharp bounds for the $Fekete-Szeg{\ddot{o}}$ functional ${\mid}{\alpha}_1-{\mu}{\alpha}^2_0{\mid}$ are obtained.

  • Combustion characteristics of a KSR-III liquid rocket engine with split-triplet (F-O-O-F) type injector elements are investigated numerically from the viewpoints of engine performance and combustion flowfield. To evaluate numerical analysis of liquid rocket engine with radial type injector arrangement, 2-D axisymmetric and 3-D calculations are carried out and the prediction of engine performance for design and off-design conditions is in a good agreement with hot-firing tests. According to 2-D axisymmetric and 3-D calculations, the prediction error is 3∼5 % from the standpoint of performance. Numerical results of combustion characteristics calculated through 3-D analysis agree well with hot-firing tests qualitatively at injector plate. Decreasing impinging angle and changing radial type injector arrangement to H type injector arrangement reduce effectively local high-temperature region. Also, it is examined that those affect the performance seriously. In conclusion, it is revealed that both injector arrangement and impinging angle are critical parameters to affect the performance and combustion characteristics of the liquid rocket engine.

  • Active roll control can improve handling and ride comfort. Dynamic characteristics of the hydraulic actuators for active suspension, which can be modeled as the 1'st order time lag system, hinders the performance improvement. To overcome this shortcoming a predictive controller is designed based on 3 d.o.f. linear vehicle handling model. The effect of this controller is studied through the simulation based on 10 d.o.f. nonlinear vehicle model and the results is compared to that of feedforward controller which uses lateral acceleration as control signal.
