  • Beam forming techniques are used to increase the efficiency of using frequency. In this paper we design and implement Butler matrix to be used for ISM band. The implemented Butler matrix has the insertion loss of maximum 6.7dB and the maximum phase shift error of $-6.51^{\circ}{\sim}7.17^{\circ}$ over 2.4~2.485GHz.

  • In this paper, we propose an OFDM system with a pre-equalizer which pre-distorting a transmission signal to compensate for the degradation of the system by the intersymbol interference and multi-path fading at the high-speed multimedia communications. We model an OFDM system by using C language, a simulation was performed. As a result, there was a performance of BER is about 7dB at $10^{-3}$, improved to $10^{-4}$ on the MMSE property also $10^{-3}$.

  • In this paper, we investigate achieving the full diversity order and power gains in case of using OSTBCs and quasi-OSBCs in the x channel system with interference alignment with more than 2 antennas at each terminal. A slight degradation is remarked in the case of quasi-OSTBCs. In terms of receiver structure, we show that due to the favorable structure of the channel matrices, the simple zero-forcing receiver achieves the full diversity order, while the interference cancellation receiver leads to degradations in performance. As compared to the conventional scheme, simulation results demonstrate that our proposed schemes achieve 14dB and 16.5dB of gain at a target bit error rate (BER) of 10-4 in the case of OSTBCs with 3 and 4 antennas at each terminal, respectively, while achieving the same spectral efficiency. Also, a gain of 10dB is achieved at the same target BER in the case of quasi-OSTBC with 4 antennas at each terminal.

  • In this paper, a new scheme of downlink co-channel interference (CCI) cancellation in OFDM cellular networks is introduced for users at the cell-edge. Coordinated symbol transmission between base stations (BS) is operated where the same symbol is transmitted from different BS on different sub-carriers. At the mobile station (MS) receiver, we introduce a soft decision maximum likelihood CCI canceler and a modified maximum ratio combining (M-MRC) to obtain an estimate of the transmitted symbols. Weights used in the combining method are derived from the channels coefficients between the cooperated BSs and the MS. Simulations show that the proposed scheme works well under frequency-selective channels and frequency non-selective channels. A gain of 9 dB and 6 dB in SIR is obtained under multipath fading and flat-fading channels, respectively.

  • In this paper, STBC (Space Time Block Code) is applied to the WB system and frequency repeated diversity is used to get the 4-th order space time diversity gain. The performance of が STDB-OFDM system is analyzed by computer simulation. As a result of simulation, proposed W system can reduce the complexity that is introduced by increasing number of transmit antenna and show the same performance of 4 antennas with only using 2. Proposed system shows the enhancement of 7.1 dB compared to the general UWB OFDM and 1.9 dB compared to UWB STBC-OFDM.

  • Recently, a so called orthogonal spatial multiplexing(OSM) scheme was presented which allows simple maximum likelihood decoding at the receiver with single phase feedback In this paper, by serially concatenating this scheme by a linear precoder, a new closed-loop SM scheme is proposed for two transmit arid two receive antennas. By computer simulation results, we show that the proposed scheme outperforms the conventional SM and OSM. For the proposed code, we also propose a new simple decoding algorithm which leads to a greatly reduced decoding complexity compared with the ML receiver without any loss of error performance.

  • In this paper, the performances of the presented D2D (device-to-device) systems under the environment of the cognitive convergent overlay networks are evaluated based upon the locations of the D2D users' terminals, the power consumptions of the terminals and the reductions of the interference levels. As the capabilities of the users' terminals improve, the optimization of the system is crucial to the efficient utilization of the radio resources of the individual networks considering their mobility and the features of their networks. Users' mobility model is given for the performance evaluation of the D2D system. In this paper, the performances of the D2D systems are evaluated in terms of the performance index of the FER (frame error rate) employing multiantenna techniques (MIMO:multiple input multiple output) for the various network environments.

  • In this paper, we propose and observe the Adaptive Modulation system with optimal Turbo Coded V-BLAST(Vertical-Bell-lab Layered Space-Time) technique that is applied the extrinsic information from MAP Decoder in decoding Algorithm of V-BLAST: ordering and slicing. And comparing the proposed system with the Adaptive Modulation system using conventional Turbo Coded V-BLAST technique that is simply combined V-BLAST with Turbo Coding scheme, we observe how much throughput performance and SNR has been improved. In addition, we show that the proposed system using STD(Selection Transmit Diversity) scheme results in on improved result, By using simulation and comparing to conventional Turbo Coded V-BLAST technique with the Adaptive Modulation systems, the optimal Turbo Coded V-BLAST technique with the Adaptive Modulation systems has SNR gain over all SNR range and better throughput gain that is about 350Kbps in 11dB SNR range. Also, comparing with the conventional Turbo Coded V-BLAST technique using 2 transmit and 2 receive antennas, the proposed system with STD scheme show that the improvement of maximum throughput is about 1.77Mbps in the same SNR range and the SNR gain is about 5.88dB to satisfy 4Mbps throughput performance.

  • The flower and woman are beautiful but Euler's theorem and the symmetry are the best. Shannon applied his theorem to information and communication based on Euler's theorem. His theorem is the root of wireless communication and information theory and the principle of today smart phone. Their meeting point is $e^{-SNR}$ of MIMO(multiple input and multiple output) multiple antenna diversity. In this paper, Euler, who discovered the most beautiful formula($e^{{\pi}i}+1=0$) in the world, briefly guided Shannon's formula ($C=Blog_2(1+{\frac{S}{N}})$) to discover the origin of wireless communication and information communication, and these two masters prove a meeting at the Shannon limit, It reveals something what this secret. And we find that it is symmetry and element-wise inverse are the hidden secret in algebraic coding theory and triangular function.

  • KSR-III(Korea Sounding Rocket - III), which is being developed by Space Technology R&D Division of KARI(Korea Aerospace Research Institute) will be launched in late 2002. It is a three-stage, liquid propellant rocket which can reach 250 km altitude and will carry out observation of ozone layer and scientific experiments, such as microgravity experiment, and atmospheric measurement. KSR-III is believed to be an intermediate to the launch vehicle capable of carrying a satellite to its orbit. Space Test Department of KARI performed GVT(Ground Vibration Test) fer KSR-III EM at Rocket Test Building of KARI. GVT is very important for predicting the behavior of rocket in its operation, developing flight control program and performing aerodynamic analysis. This paper gives an introduction of rocket GVT configuration and information on test procedures, techniques and results of It. In this test. to simulate free-free condition, test object hung in the air laterally by 4 bungee cords specially devised. For the excitation of test object, pure random signal by two electromagnetic shakers was used and total 22 frequency response functions were achieved. Polyreference parameter estimation was performed to identify the modal parameters with MIMO(Multi-Input-Multi-Output) method. As the result of the test, low frequency mode shapes and modal parameters below 60Hz were identified
