Since 1995, Korean enterprises have been rapidly expanding their business, especially to Eastern European countries such as Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Hungary and so on. After the establishment of Korea-EU FTA in 2011, close relationship between the two through economic cooperation has been maintained. To efficiently connect the seaport regions to inland factories located in Eastern European countries, researches on mode choice in the intermodal sector are needed to perform. However, there is a scant of research for mode choice factors on intermodal transportation service in Europe. Therefore, the aim of this research is to understand the current situation of intermodal transportation sector in Europe, identify key factors of mode choice, and weigh the importance among factors influencing intermodal selection in the perspective of Korean exporters or forwarders with overseas cargo to Europe. A survey and in-depth interviews to CEOs and executives who have more than 20 to 30 years of career in logistics sector were carried out from April 01 to May 01, 2013. Using the fuzzy theory as the methodology, 'Reliability of arrival time', 'Transit time', and 'Freight Rate' are equally ranked as the most important factor in the selection of intermodal transportation.

In Europe, the diversity in religions, cultures, languages and historical backgrounds is enormous. World War II and the Soviet Regime have played a large part in this and the flow of refugees from other continents increases the pluralism. How can religious education add to bridging between differences? The language across European countries is different, literally between countries, but also figuratively speaking and even inside individual countries. These differences occur in cultural sense and across age groups as well. Secondary education has the task to form young people to become firmly rooted people who can hold their own in society. It is essential that they learn to examine their own core values and their roots. Recognising their values should be a main focus of religious education. However, schools are currently accommodating increasing numbers of non-religious pupils. What role do religious values still play in this situation? How do pupils feel about active involvement in religious institutions, and about basing life choices on religious beliefs? Can other, non-religious values be detected which could form the basis for value-oriented personal formation? Research of these subjects has been ongoing in the Netherlands for more than twenty years and is currently being expanded to the Czech Republic and(former East) Germany. These are also secularized countries but have a very different history. Does the history and context of these countries play a role, and does this show in the values that are important to pupils? A comparative pilot study is being conducted as start of this broadening perspective geared towards greater insight into the values of pupils in these three European countries. This information helps to design appropriate new forms of religious value-oriented worldview education.
The paper dealt with the fact that the green deal took place when the demand for electrical energy surged. However, the procurement of electric vehicles and much of the electric energy of the future still depends on fossil fuels. Accordingly, the importance of the IT industry is highlighted, and the demand for hydrogen-electric vehicles and related industries increases. The method of this study investigated the relevance of EV charging as a future next-generation power source rather than the electric energy demand of the IT industry. This study derives the correlation between industrial electricity and household energy PPP according to economic growth through empirical regression analysis. As the result, it was found that the amount of change, including electric and next-generation electric vehicles, was significant for on thirds of the countries in the change in purchasing power compared to GDP. This affects overall purchasing power as twelve out of thirty two countries with EV demand (Italy, Canada, Switzerland, Poland, Slovenia, Germany, Slovakia, Finland, Sweden, Czech Republic, Estonia, Denmark) are more sensitive to electric energy. This is related to the charging of EVs or hydrogen as the next-generation power of the future rather than the electric energy demand of the IT industry. By preventing waste of unused electricity of IT-electric energy sources and charging-preserving hydrogen electricity, it seems indispensable to prepare for the national IT power conservation buffer facility for supply and demand in future growth.

Modern society needs constantly the rationality and the efficiency, and this flow of the time has become the paradigm of the whole society. This paradigm has a large influence on the architectural design and industry. Modern technology represented by the development of digital instrument and Information Technology through internet has created and developed two big trend, Parametric Design and BIM(Building information Modeling) in the architectural design and industry. These technologies, though created for different reasons, have a lot of influence on the architectural design and industry for a common purpose such as efficiency and rationality across the boundaries. In this context, this research will be embodied through the example about how parametric design should be made in the beginning of pre-design phase for BIM application. This research aims to consider the design process of Walt Diseny Consert Hall, the work of Frank O. Ghery, a deconstructivism architect, and to embody the shape of National Nederlanden Building in Prague, the Czech Republic, using parametric design tool in pre-design phase. This research later aims to be used as the basic data that can be applied to the entire architectural industry from a planning and a detailed design to a construction for the ultimate BIM application beyond the range of parametric design in pre-design phase. Later, the plan using the parametric design algorithm and BIM application in construction document phase will be conducted.
Drawing on the deep experience and understanding of the principles of nuclear safety, as well as many years of nuclear power plant design and operation, the EDF led NUWARD SMR Project is developing a design for a Small Modular Reactor (SMR) of 340 MWe composed of two 170 MWe independent units, that will supplement the offering of high-output nuclear reactors, especially in response to specific needs such as replacement of fossil-fuelled power plants. NUWARD SMR is a mix of proven and innovative design features that will make it more commercially competitive, while integrating safety features that comply with the highest international standards. Following the principles of redundancy and diversity and rigorous application of Defence in Depth (DID), with an international view on nuclear safety licensing, the Project also incorporates new safety approaches into its design development. The NUWARD SMR Project has been in development for a number of years, it entered conceptual design formally in mid-2019 and entered Basic Design in 2023. The objective of the concept design phase was to confirm the project technological choices and to define the first design configuration of the NUWARD SMR product, to document it, in order to launch pre-licensing with the French Safety Authority (ASN) and to define its estimated cost and its subsequent development and construction schedules. As a delivery milestone the Safety Options file (called the Dossier d'Options de Sûreté (DOS)) has been submitted to ASN in July 2023 for their opinion. An integral part of the NUWARD SMR Project, is not only to deliver a design suitable for France and to satisfy French regulation, but to develop a product suitable and indeed desirable, for the international market, with a first focus in Europe. In order to achieve its objectives and realise its market potential, the NUWARD SMR Project needs to define and realise its safety approach within an international environment and that is the key subject of this paper. The following paper: • Summarises the foundation principles and technological background which underpin the design; • Contextualises the key design features with regard to the international safety regulatory framework with particular emphasis on innovative passive safety aspects; • Illustrates the Project activities in preparation for first licensing in France, and also a wider international view via the ASN led Joint Early Review of the NUWARD SMR design, including Finnish and Czech Republic regulators, recently joined by the Swedish, Polish and Dutch regulators; • Articulates the collaborative approach to design development from involvement with the Project partners (the Commissariat à l'énergie atomique et aux énergies alternatives (CEA), Naval Group, TechnicAtome, Framatome and Tractebel) to the establishment of the International NUWARD Advisory Board (INAB), to gain greater international insight and advice; • Concludes with the focus on next steps into detailed design development, standardisation of the design and its simplification to enhance its commercial competitiveness in a context of further harmonisation of the nuclear safety and licensing requirements and aspirations.

Mucopolysaccharidosis type VI (MPS VI) is a rare disease caused by the mutation of ARSB with prevalence range from 1/5,000 in northeast Brazil to 1/2,057,529 births in Czech Republic. In Asia, there is only one published figure in Taiwan of about 1/833,000 births. The exact prevalence in the Korean population is unknown, but we estimated the incidence of MPS VI is about 0.03/100,000 live births. Enzyme replacement therapy (ERT) with recombinant human Arylsulfatase B (rhASB) is a modality for the treatment of MPS VI that reduces the excretion of urine glycosaminoglycan (GAG) and improves joint motion, pulmonary function, and endurance. We presented the clinical features, molecular analysis and outcome of ERT in three Korean MPS VI patients. All patients had the typical characteristic clinical features of MPS IV. Short stature, dysostosis multiplex, corneal opacity and valvular heart disease were found at first presentation, while restrictive lung disease and carpal tunnel syndrome developed later in all patients. Molecular analysis demonstrated novel missense and nonsense mutation in the patients, including p.Ile 67Ser, p.Gly328Arg, $p.Arg191^*$, p.Asp352Asn, and p.Gly17Asp. After ERT, urine GAG was decreased in all patients. Skeletal involvement, corneal opacity, heart valve abnormalities and pulmonary function were not improved with ERT, but it had a better outcome on regarding joint motion and endurance. One patient underwent allogeneic bone marrow transplantation (BMT) prior to ERT, but their clinical response was not improved much after BMT. This study demonstrates clinical phenotypes and molecular analysis of the severe form of MPS VI in Korean patients.

Purpose Estradiol (E2) is a steroid hormone mainly produced in women and is a useful indicator for diagnosis of gynecological diseases, menstrual cycle, menopause, and precocious puberty. E2 measurement is performed by diluting the $^{125}I$ radioactive tracer and tracer buffer in the kit. However, It was not precisely specified when the period of tracer is available after activating. The purpose of this study was to determine the appropriate dilution time based on the measurement value with dilution time. Materials and Methods From December 2016 to February 2017, 60 E2 samples with concentrations ranging from 8 to 4577 pg/mL were divided into low, medium, and high concentrations. Dilution of the $^{125}I$ tracer was performed on a 230 RPM agitator for 30 minutes, 1 hour 30 minutes, and 2 hours 30 minutes, respectively. 24 hour dilution was gently shaken and refrigerated. To verify the difference and significance of the results according to the dilution time, a test of normality was performed using SPSS 18.0 and analyzed by Kruskal-Wallis test. The measured value according to the dilution time was compared with the interquartile range of the absolute error. Results The results of Kruskal-Wallis test were not significant (P>0.05). Measurement results are showed as interquartile range of absolute error. At low concentration, it is 0.052 between 1 hour 30 minutes and 2 hours 30 minutes, and 0.105 between 30 minutes and 1 hour 30 minutes. At medium concentration, 0.062 between 30 minutes and 1 hour 30 minutes, and 0.038 between 1 hour 30 minutes and 2 hours 30 minutes. At high concentration, it is 0.029 between 1 hour 30 minutes and 2 hours 30 minutes, and 0.06 between 2 hours 30 minutes and 24 hours. Conclusion There were no statistically significant differences. However, the change in the measured value is the smallest between 1 hour and 30 minutes to 2 hours and 30 minutes. Therefore, we recommend diluting time between 1 hour 30 minutes and 2 hours 30 minutes.
Purpose : Group A streptococci have a cell wall which consists of M protein and T protein. T protein is known to be helpful in the understanding of the epidemiology of group A streptococci. To study the epidemiologic characteristics, we serotyped T protein of group A streptococci obtained from patients admitted to hospitals, or who visited OPD in five districts of Seoul the during last three years. Methods : Group A streptococci were obtained in five districts in north, northeast, central, northwest and south Seoul from 1998 through 2000. All isolated group A streptococci were serotyped with T protein antisera(Institute of Sera and Vaccine, Prague, Czech Republic). Results : In 1998, analysis of obtained total number of 92 strains revealed that T12, T4, and NT acounted for 72.2%. Among seven cases of scarlet fever, T12 was isolated in four cases and T4 was found in three cases. Two cases of tonsilar abscess produced T8 and NT. One case of cervical lymphadenitis showed T12. In 1999, 41 cases were studied showing that T12, T4, and T1 contributed 68%. Among five cases of scarlet fever, T12 and T4 make up three case. There were two cases of pneumonia(T4 and T1) and one case of cervical lymphadenitis(T8/25). In 2000, the study was performed in four districts except the central area. Among 83 isolates, T12, T4 and T1 accounted for 63.9%. There were three cases of scarlet fever(T12, T4, T5), one case of tonsillar abscess(T12), one case of pneumonia(NT) and one case of sepsis(T1). Conclusion : Serological analysis of T protein of group A streptococci shows no endemic specificity. The yearly pattern reveals that T12 had been decreasing but T1 had shown the opposite trend.
Multiple ovulation and embryo transfer (MOET) has the potential to increase the rates of genetic improvement in cattle. Thus this study was performed to investigate several factors influencing in vivo embryo production in Holstein cattle under field conditions. The donors were superovulated with Folltropin-V and $PGF_2{\alpha}$ combination method. From Day 10 onward, donors were superovulated by i.m., twice daily, administration of 400mg Folltropin-V given in a series of decreasing doses over a 4-day period: on the first day, 3.5ml; on the second day, 3.0ml; on the third day, 2.0ml; and on the fourth day, 1.5ml (20ml in total, equivalent to 400mg of NIH-FSH-P1). Estrus was induced by i.m. administration of 25mg prostaglandin $F_2{\alpha}$ on the sixth and seventh of FSH treatment. Estrus detection was performed twice daily beginning 24h after the first prostaglandin $F_2{\alpha}$ injection. Donor cows were artificially inseminated 12 and 24 h after first standing estrus with semen from a proven Holstein sire. Embryos used in this study were recovered Day 7.5 of the cycle (Day 0: first standing estrus). From 195 superovulated dairy cows, 2,104 eggs were recovered, of which 1,172 were classified as transferable embryos based on morphological evaluation of quality. The results are summarized as follows: 1. The numbers of recovered and transferable embryos did not significantly differ among the capacity of milk production that were < 10,000kg/305days (group 1), $10,000{\sim}12,000\;kg$/305days (group 2) or > 12,000kg/305 days (group 3) (p>0.05, Table 1). 2. No differences in the numbers of recovered and transferable embryos were found among the donor's postparient days (p>0.05, Table 2). 3. Also, the numbers of recovered and transferable embryos of each superovulation seasons did not significantly differ among the four groups (p>0.05, Table 3).
