In this paper, a novel triple-mode cavity structure, designed for compactness and operating at 850 MHz, is analyzed. A cylindrical dielectric resonator is loaded into a metallic cylindrical cavity. Previous study has been focused on the analysis of the cylindrical dielectric resonator, but in this paper, the effect of the cylindrical metallic cavity has been analyzed. Enclosing the dielectric resonator inside the metallic cavity increases the resonant frequency of the dielectric resonator; however, this increases the quality factor and introduces the possibility of installing coupling screws. The principle of generation of triple-mode was investigated by parametric analysis. The generated triple-mode is TE011 mode and two orthogonally generated HEM121 modes. By adjusting the radius of the dielectric resonator, the height of the dielectric resonator, or the radius of the cylindrical metallic cavity, three modes could be coincided. However, the height of the metallic cavity keeps three modes separated. The mode characteristics of the proposed cavity are analyzed using a full-wave electromagnetic (EM) simulation. The proposed triple-mode cavity could be developed to triple-mode filter using a coupling screw, and the commercial application for the miniaturized filter below 1 GHz could be expected.

Field penetration and scattering characteristics of two dimensional open cylindrical cavity is studied. Exact analysis for this sort of structure is not achieved even if there are unusual phenomena of field penetration and scattering with cavity and aperture size. In this paper, we calculate a wide range of open cavity characteristics by using of FMM method, which is extended method of MOM. We find external mode of open cylindrical cavity corresponding to internal mode of closed cavity. The characteristics of resonance and scattering of this region is different compare with non resonant area. The result of study will apply to the EM wave shielding and RCS control.
The eigen value problem of a coaxial cavity and a modified pill box cavity is investigated using the mode matching technique. The coaxial cavity has a cylindrical cavity with beam ports and center conductor. The pill box cavity is the same as a coaxial cavity without center conductor. The electric field and magnetic field are formulated in propagation region and resonance region. The boundary and orthogonal conditions are applied to the electric and magnetic fields. We derived the eigen value equation by the proposed procedure in a coaxial cavity and a modified pill box cavity. The electromagnetic field of the real structure is disturbed by the coaxial wire. The effect of the coaxial wire in pill box cavity with beam ports increase the dominant resonant frequency. The coaxial line method of the coupling impedance is not adequate for a cylindrical cavity. The results of the mode matching technique and simulation agree well. The results confirm the proposed formulation is valid.
In this paper, acoustic transmission characteristics are theoretically considered on a cylindrical cavity system. The cylindrical cavity system is a simplified model of the acoustic cavity of King Seongdeok Divine Bell and it consists of a main cavity, a gap and an auxiliary cavity, Under a point sound source in the main cavity, acoustic frequency response property is determined and acoustic modes are analysed. The results are compared with those by the boundary element analysis using SYSNOISE. Using the proposed theoretical method, the effect of the auxiliary cavity and the gap on the resonance frequency and sound transmission characteristics is identified. Finally the best combination of the auxiliary cavity and gap is determined for the maximum transmission of the source frequency.
Cavity expansion is a classical problem in the field of solid mechanics with a wide range of applications in geotechnical and petroleum engineering. A drained solution is developed for cylindrical cavity expansion in anisotropic soils under biaxial in-situ stresses using a K0-based anisotropic modified Cam-clay model (K0-AMCC). The problem is formulated by solving differential equations using an auxiliary variable, which provides analytical expressions for the volume and four stress components of the soil around the cylindrical cavity. The solution is validated by comparisons with existing well-developed solutions. The results show that the present solution well captures the cavity expansion responses in anisotropic soils under biaxial in-situ stresses, and removes limiting assumptions that the cylindrical cavity expands under uniform in-situ stress in isotropic soils. The elastic-plastic boundary of the expanding cylindrical cavity in K0-consolidated anisotropic soils under biaxial in-situ stresses is a circle rather than an ellipse in isotropic soils, and the mathematical proof is provided in detail.

The cylindrical gear in power window motor assembly is important to doors of automobile. This study is performed for the purpose of getting a manufacturing technique instead of large quantities import and six-cavity mold production. This multi-cavity cylindrical gear is produced under five procedures. The first, mold design of mass-production, the second, making a CAE model for mass-production, the third, manufacturing of sample mold, the fourth, trying-out and measuring of 3 dimensional design, the fifth, acquisition of data analysis and mold modification. Among them, analysis of mass-production using CAE, designing and manufacturing of multi-cavity are successfully performed. In the results, it is concluded that the mold for one gate and eight-cavity based on hot-runner is suitable for making a cylindrical gear.

This paper, presents the characteristics of electromagnetic fields radiated from a pole-transformer. The cylindrical cavity is used to measure electromagnetic fields radiated from a pole-transformer when partial discharge occures inside the pole-transformer. The theoretical analysis is conducted by a finite difference time domain (FDTD) method. As a result, frequency characteristics of the radiated electromagnetic waves emitted from the inside the cavity to the outside through the 1st and 2nd bushings could be observed for the configuration of the cylindrical cavity with a radiation window. The frequency characteristics of electromagnetic field are also studied according to the enclosure structure of the cylindrical cavity. To verify the theoretical analysis, computed results are compared to experimental results.
In this paper, an analytical solution of large-strain cylindrical cavity expansion in compaction grouting problem under temperature field is given. Considering the stress increment caused by temperature, the analytical solution of cavity expansion under traditional isothermal conditions is improved by substituting the temperature stress increment into the cavity expansion analysis. Subsequently, combined with the first law of thermodynamics, the energy theory is also introduced into the cylindrical cavity expansion analysis, and the energy dissipation solution of cylindrical cavity expansion is derived. Finally, the validity and reliability of solution are proved by comparing the results of expansion pressure with those in published literatures. The results show that the dimensionless expansion pressure increases with the increase of temperature, and the thermal response increases with the increase of dilation angle. The higher the exothermic temperature of grouting slurry, the greater the plastic deformation energy of the surrounding soil, that is, the greater the influence on the surrounding soil deformation and the surrounding environment. The proposed solution not only enrich the theoretical system of cavity expansion, but also can be used as a theoretical tool for energy geotechnical engineering problems, such as CPT, nuclear waste disposal, energy pile and chemical grouting, etc.
This paper investigates the effect of dual-phase-lags on a thermoviscoelastic orthotropic solid with a cylindrical cavity. The cylindrical cavity is subjected to a thermal shock varying heat and its material is taken to be of Kelvin-Voigt type. The phase-lag thermoelastic model, Lord and Shulman's model and the coupled thermoelasticity model are employed to study the thermomechanical coupling, thermal and mechanical relaxation (viscous) effects. Numerical solutions for temperature, displacement and thermal stresses are obtained by using the method of Laplace transforms. Numerical results are plotted to illustrate the effect phase-lags, viscoelasticity, and the variability thermal conductivity parameter on the studied fields. The variations of all field quantities in the context of dual-phase-lags and coupled thermoelasticity models follow similar trends while the Lord and Shulman's model may be different. The influence of viscosity parameter and variability of thermal conductivity is very pronounced on temperature and thermal stresses of the thermoviscoelastic solids.

In this paper, a cylindrical cavity resonator oscillator with high Q factor is designed and fabricated to improve the phase noise characteristic. A cavity resonator is coupled to oscillating circuit using aperture hole. Measured results show that the cylindrical cavity resonator oscillator (CRO) for Ku-band has less phase noise than the dielectric resonator oscillator (DRO) with the same oscillating circuit. It has output power of +3.92 dBm at the center frequency 13.4015250 GHz and phase noise of -109 dBc/Hz at 100 kHz offset.
