'과학1' 중학교 교과서의 물질의 상태 변화와 분자 운동 내용이 요구하는 인지 수준 분석(제III보) (Analysis of the Level of Cognitive Demands about Concepts of the Changes of State and Kinetic Theory on 'Science 1' Textbooks in Junior High School (III))

  • 우리나라 중학교 '과학1'에 실려 있는 '물질의 상태 변화'와 '분자의 운동'에 대한 서술 내용이 요구하는 인지 요구도를 분석하였다. '분자의 운동'에는 '확산과 증발', '기체의 압력과 부피', '기체의 온도와 부피', 그리고 '상태 변화와 열에너지' 개념이 포함된다. 인지 요구도 분석에 활용한 분석 준거는 영국에서 개발된 과학 교과 내용 분류틀에 있는 3종류 분석틀이다. 분석 대상인 6종 교과서 내용들이 요구하는 인지 수준들은 구체적 조작 수준과 형식적 조각 수준들이 다양하였다. 해당 내용에는 여러 인지 수준들이 있으나 그 중에서도 높은 인지 수준을 요구하는 내용들을 보면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 단원 초기에 물질의 세 가지 상태를 설명할 때에는 그 서술 내용이 요구하는 높은 인지 수준이 6종 모두 후기 구체적 조작 수준이다. 그러나 단원의 초기 이후부터는 이에 대한 설명이 모두 초기 형식적 수준이다. 분자 배열과 분자 모형에 관한 내용이 요구하는 높은 인지 수준은 모든 6종 교과서가 분자 운동으로 서술하고 있기 때문에 초기 형식적 조작 수준이다. 둘째, 확산과 증발 개념에 대한 내용이 요구하는 높은 인지 수준은 6종 교과서 모두 초기 형식적 조작 수준이다. 왜냐하면 상태 변화를 분자 운동론으로 서술하고 있어서 초기 형식적 조작 수준이다. 셋째, 기체의 압력과 부피, 기체의 온도와 부피 개념에 대한 내용이 요구하는 높은 인지 수준은 교과서 6종 모두 초기 형식적 조작 수준이다. 분자 운동을 이용한 형식적 모델을 이해해야 하고 그리고 그래프를 통해 보일 법칙과 샤를 법칙을 이해해야 하기 때문에 학생들은 고차식의 그래프를 해석해야 하며, 두 독립변수 사이의 관계를 발견해야 하므로 초기 형식적 조작 수준이다. 넷째, 상태 변화와 열에너지 개념에 대한 내용이 요구하는 높은 인지 수준은 교과서 6종 모두 초기 형식적 조작 수준이다. 물질의 끓는점과 어는점을 설명하는 고차식 그래프의 해석 능력을 요구하고 있기 때문에 초기 형식적 조작 수준이다. 물질의 상태 변화와 온도의 관계도 분자 운동론을 이용하여 서술하고 있기 때문에 초기 형식적 조작 수준이다.

  • Pharmacy education and training is continuously evolving to meet the requirement from the society in the UK. Most pharmacy schools offer the Master of pharmacy degree which is a four year undergraduate programme followed by a year of pre-registration placement spanning a year supervised by a professional pharmacist who has at least 3 years' post-registration experience; however, some universities provide either a 5-year sandwich course where the pre-registration training is split up into two periods of 6 months or a 2-year OSPAP programme for those who are already qualified as a pharmacist outside of the UK. The GPhC has announced that the format of the registration assessment is set to change in 2016. The exam questions from 2016 will be more clinical, practical and based around a patient in a real-life scenario. This article addresses important aspects of UK pharmacy education such as university curriculum, training programme, and licence exam, therefore, could potentially offer a significant contribution to the debate about raising academic standards of pharmacy education in South Korea.

  • 지식기반사회로의 변화와 더불어 무한경쟁 시대에 살아가면서 사회로 진출하는 대학생들의 취업전쟁은 자신의 미래에 대한 불안으로 작용하면서 대학생의 취업은 가장 큰 사회 문제의 하나로 대두되고 있다. 보건계열학과 3학년 학생들 대상으로 취업률 향상 방안으로는 학과교수는 취업관련 정보제공자로서 취업면담을 강화하고, 대학은 다양한 지역의 취업지도를 위한 출장 장려 등의 구체적인 대학 측 지원 계획과 시행이 요구된다. 또한 질적 향상을 위한 노력으로 대학 측은 취업중심 교육과정 개발과 학생의 기본적인 취업 준비를 위한 지원, 지도교수는 취업관련 정보제공 및 취업 전문 안내자가 되어야 할 것으로 사료된다.

영재교육의 질적 연구에 대한 대학원생들의 인식 변화 (Perception Changes of Graduate Students on Qualitative Research in Gifted Education)

  • The purpose of this research is to find out the change in graduate students' perceptions before and after they take a class on qualitative research. The class on qualitative research was held by the researcher in the winter semester of 2009. The subjects are nine graduate students (two male and eight female) and all elementary school teachers. An open-ended questionnaire with 5 items was used. The responses were interpreted, analyzed and categorized into several main conceptions. The results are as follow: First, some students perceived qualitative research as the counterpart for quantitative research, some perceived that qualitative research supplements quantitative research, while the rest of them had no concept of either before they took the class. Second, they all agreed that qualitative research is necessary in gifted education after they took the class. In order to better understand what is happening in classrooms, in terms of gifted education, a well organized curriculum for gifted education should be developed and conducted in graduate schools.

  • It is more important than ever to have talent with innovative capacities for sustainable agriculture and rural areas, but adolescents's interest in and understanding of agriculture and rural areas is very low. Therefore, this study analyzed the experiences of participants in the Agriculture Career Exploration Activities Program. and suggests strategies to improve and revitalize agricultural education based on these findings. First, Institutions and facilities that run agricultural education programs need opportunities for self-checks. Second, it is necessary to develop various contents and its distribution channels to enable the experience related to it in daily life. Third, it is important to provide experience in the middle school curriculum, which requires the use of a system such as the Free Semester System. Fourth, education and promotion to parents and teachers is also important, as it has a direct impact on youth's perception of it.

우리나라 공교육과 발도르프교육에서 작도 지도 내용 비교 분석 연구 - 초등학교 수학에서 컴퍼스의 쓰임을 중심으로 - (The Comparison Study on the Geometric Construction between Korean Public School and Waldorf Education -Focused on the Usages of Compass in Elementary School-)

  • 초등학교 수학의 컴퍼스 관련 내용은 중학교 작도 교육과 연계될 수 있다. 활동주의 교육의 소재가 될 수 있는 작도를 지원할 수 있도록 초등학교 내용에서 수정 보완할 점과 그 개선 방향을 찾고자 하였다. 이를 위해 우리나라 교육과정과 교과서 분석을 통해 초등학교 컴퍼스 관련 내용의 주요 특징을 추출하였고, 작도가 기하 교육의 핵심을 이루는 발도르프교육에서 작도 지도의 계열과 주요 특징을 살펴 보았다. 우리나라와 발도르프교육을 비교한 결과로, 컴퍼스 도입을 고학년으로 늦추기, 논증기하 이전에 형태 체험과정과 심미적 체험을 할 수 있는 과정을 추가하는 것 등을 제안하였다.

간호대생과 의대생의 도덕판단력 발달에 관한 종단적 연구 (A Longitudinal Study on Moral Judgment Development in Nursing and Medical Students)

  • Purpose: In this longitudinal study, we examined the moral judgment level and its related factors, such as individual characteristics. The result of this study will provide baseline data to establish policy of ethics education for college students and healthcare professionals. Method: We enrolled 37 nursing students and 20 medical students as the subjects in a university in Suwon, Korea. We conducted a questionnaire on the subjects using Korean version of Defining Issues Test(DIT) to analyze the subjects' moral judgment level. Collected data was coded using ASCII document and scored using Fortran program for computer. Then the data was statistically analyzed by SPSS Version 10.0. Result: Nursing students' moral development score at each stage were consistently higher at stage 5A across 4-years rather than other stages. On the other hand, medical students' moral development score were consistently higher at stage 4 than other stages. There was no significant difference in the change P(%) score at each academic year in both groups. In the perspective of the subjects' general characteristics, P(%) score showed no significant in both groups. Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, further studies will examine the correlation between curriculum and moral judgment development in detail. Moreover, we suggest that the current ethics education should be developed and evaluated in more realistic manner.

장애인 고용증진을 위한 치과기공사의 적합성 여부와 교육주관에 관한 평가 (Judgment of the suitability to work as a dental technician in order to promote the employment of the disabled and evaluation about educational facilities)

  • Purpose: This study was to seek the application after fostering the dental technician with the disability. The purpose of this was to suggest basic data to enhance employment for the disabled by fostering dental technician with disability through the opinion of experts. Methods: For this aim, this study made the literature research using precedent research data implemented by related departments and fields and domestic & foreign literature including the reports on the status of the disabled. Results: On the base of the findings the conclusion was deduced as following. It needs to open dental technician training curriculum with disability to enhance employment for the disabled and smoothness and qualification for the practical demand and supply of the dental technician. Conclusion: To foster the dental technician with disability, there needs the change of negative view that the disabled will not be able to do well. The disabled also can do the work well as those without disability if they get the education and the training.

중등학교의 교과교실형 교사 도입에 관한 건축계획적 고찰 - 수준별 이동식 수업 실시 현황을 중심으로 - (A Study of Architectural Planning in view of a current situation of Individualized Interactive Learning Approach (IILA) in Middle and High Schools)

  • A Considerable number of middle and high schools has an educational program that allows the students to move from one class to another according to their academic achievements. It is, however, performed in existing classrooms with uniform pattern, corresponding to the launch of the 7th curriculum (scheduled to practice in 2000). This research is to investigate the current situation of IILA and to collect the teachers opinions and their demands regarding spatial change to accommodate IILA effectively. This research is also to acquire a fundamental data to set up a prototype for designing a school building for IILA in future. The research process includes surveying the current circumstances of IILA in 136 middle and high schools in Seoul and Pusan, and performing interviews for 9 schools. The research results revealed that there was lack of classrooms to comply IILA in most cases and inconvenience resulted in moving from class to class. It also showed that majority of students experienced unhandy due to limited lockers for the personal belongings. It is also found that the IILA was not a practice for offering various teaching methods but simply an aspect of grouping students based upon their academic achievements.

전하이동을 시각화한 PhET 기반 수업을 통한 초등과학영재의 전류개념변화 (Conceptual Change via Instruction based on PhET Simulation Visualizing Flow of Electric Charge for Science Gifted Students in Elementary School)

  • Even after learning electric current, elementary school students have various non-scientific conceptions and difficulties. Because flow of charge is not visible. Also elementary school students do not learn theory but phenomena, so they cannot transfer theoretical perspective to new situation. In this research, we have designed instruction based on PhET simulation visualizing flow of electric charge and applied it to 37 science-gifted students in elementary school for measuring conceptual understanding. As a result, six out of the seven Hake gains of question set are high gain and just one is middle gain because the students have understood the flow pattern of the charge through circuit elements such as light bulbs, wire, as well as battery with PhET simulation and it gives a chance to create various questions spontaneously about electric current. Also they become able to do spontaneous mental simulation without PhET simulation about flow of charges. This research, suggest that developed materials using PhET simulation could be used as not only program for gifted students in elementary school, but also the electrical circuit section in an elementary science curriculum.
