터널구간 팬터그래프와 전차선간 동적성능 검측장치 구현 (Implement of Dynamic Performance Measurement System Between Pantograph and Contact wire in Tunnel)

  • To increase speed up of train, in the field of catenary system, it is necessary to develop of new monitoring methods for dynamic interaction between pantograph and contact wire. Also, there is a need to develop technologies that constantly measure are from various railway structure such as uplift of contact wire, vibration of catenary, dynamic strain of contact line in tunnel. In this paper condition monitoring systems for dynamic performance of catenary systems in tunnel were proposed. An advanced method and results of field tests using high speed camera for monitoring of vertical upward movement of the grooved contact wire due to the force produced from the pantograph were presented. The proposed uplift measurement system of contact wire is expected to enhance precision of current collection quality performance assessment methods at high-speed lines.

It Matters Where and With Whom You Are: A Comparison of Mobile Phone and Landline Phone Survey Interviews

  • The rise and fall of social research methods rely on how much a certain method is able to appropriately reflect the change of society. The present research proposes new mobile surveying methods, considering the current and future trends in Korea. In particular, this research focuses on environmental pressure (time constraints, the presence of others and the place) as one of the major factors influencing the effects of survey modes. For example, landline surveys are conducted in the respondent's home, which is a private and fixed space. On the other hand, surveys on mobile phones can be conducted in diverse places with other people around. After sampling 500 landline respondents and 500 mobile phone respondents using a quota method, the same questionnaire was used for both the mobile and landline interviews. The findings are generally consistent with the literature supporting the data quality and comparability of the mixed mode survey. These results are encouraging for researchers designing surveys that feature mobile phone data collection.

  • The development of the European railway high speed network brings new problems related to the interoperability across the railways of different countries. The pantograph and the overhead wire form a dynamic coupled system and they affect each other through the contact force. Unfortunately, as the operational speed of a train increases, the vibration of the pantograph and the overhead wire also increases. This may lead to a zero contact force between the pantograph head and the overhead wire, which can results in the loss of contact, arching and abrasion. If the arching and spark happen between the pantograph and the overhead catenary system, the EMI(electro magnetic interface) and noises may occur. After an, the quality of current collection is deteriorated. This paper describes the dynamic response between the pantograph and catenary system by the numerical simulations and predicts the possibility of operating the high speed train in the conventional lines.

전차선 해빙시스템의 온도 상승효과 (Analysis of Temperature on Overhead Contact Line Using De-icing System)

  • Winter weather condition can cause icing and ice coats on 25 kV overhead contact wire. This generates shocks at the mechanical interface of the collecting strips of the pantograph and the contact wire and extra electrical resistance, which may affect quality of current collection at the contact wire / collecting strips of pantograph interface. De-icing operations should he performed just before train operation to avoid the formation of another ice layer. Thus, the work in this paper is investigation and analysis of de-icing system which could be applied to the electric car line of railways.

  • The TTX(Tilting Train eXpress) is designed to achieve high driving speed up to 200 km/h and to run on conventional curved rails without speed reduction. In order to maintain power collection between catenary and pantograph collector while train body is tilted, the TTX pantograph must have tilting structure (or Sledge). The power quality is determined by the tilting structure. Static and dynamic characteristics of tilting structure, therefore, are important to evaluate the pantograph performance. The current prototype of the tilting structure is overweight model and its structural characteristics have not been investigated. In this study, the finite element model of TTX tilting structure is established and static analysis is performed. Finally, using this result, a light weight model is proposed.

  • In the cold and temperate regions of Korea the icing and ice coats on 25[kV] electric car line during winter is a very serious problem. This generates shocks at the mechanical interface of the collecting strips of the pantograph and the contact wire and extra electrical resistance, which may affect quality of current collection at the contact wire / collecting strips of pantograph interface. De-icing operations should be performed just before train operation to avoid the formation of another ice layer. This paper presents temperature analysis of the de-icing system which could be applied to the electric car line of railways.

국내 의류브랜드의 중국진출 현황 및 마케팅전략 제안 (Entry to Chinese Market for Korean Fashion Brands: Current Situations and Suggestions of Marketing Strategies)

  • The purpose of this study is 1) to identify Chinese environment for investment and apparel market, 2) to analyze the current situations of Korean fashion brands'entry to Chinese market, 3) to analyze the marketing strategies to China according to product category, and 4) to identify merits and problems of Chinese market. For data collection, secondary resources were collected, and the telephone interview with merchandisers were implemented with brand managers. Twenty-one fashion brands were included for the study. Results of the study were as followed: 1) China was a big potential apparel market due to its rapid economic growth. Apparel purchase behavior and clothing preference of Chinese consumers were various by regional groups. 2) The motives of entry to China were to competition in domestic markets, saving raw material cost. The entry modes to China were direct export, license and regional manufacturing system. 3) Marketing strategies were to pursue high quality branding, high pricing and placing strategies with high-class department stores. Also star marketing were used with "Han Rue". Also various promotion strategies were implemented such as fashion show and unique VMD. 4) The merits of Chinese market were high potential market for export, close proximity, cultural similarity and Han-Ryu syndrome. Problems of Chinese market for export were lack of experts on Chinese market, fierce competition in China, and unstable economic policies.

해빙시스템에 의한 전차선의 온도변화에 관한 연구 (A Study on Temperature Variation of Contact Wire by De-icing System)

  • 동절기 전차선의 서리와 결빙은 매우 심각한 문제를 발생시킬 수 있다. 팬터그래프의 집진 스트립의 기계적 표면과 전차선 사이에 서리 또는 결빙으로 인한 아크가 발생하게 된다. 이에 따른 전기적 저항은 팬터그래프와 전차선 사이의 전류의 풀질을 감소시킨다. 해빙시스템은 통절기 전차선의 서리와 결빙을 녹이는 역할을 한다. 해빙시스템의 원리는 전차선의 임피던스의 Joule열을 이용하여 서리와 결빙을 제거하는 것이므로 전차선의 온도는 인가전류가 증가할수록 증가하였으며, 풍속이 증가할수록 감소하는 것을 알 수 있었다.

Possible Linkage between Management of the Service Supply Chain and the Power to Influence Potential Customers for Airline Booking

  • Purpose: This study aims to investigate a meaningful connection between the service supply chain and the power to influence potential customers for airline booking. This investigation will cover various topics, including customer service, product quality, and marketing strategies. Additionally, the literature review will examine the various strategies and tactics airlines use to influence customer behavior. Research design, data, and methodology: The data collection process conducted by the author could obtain the justification and establish the quality of the instrument between independent factor (Service Supply Chain) and dependent factor (Power to Influence Potential Customers), selecting peer-reviewed articles mostly for the current study. Results: The findings section thoroughly studied the research findings indicating a potential link between service supply chain management and the ability to persuade potential consumers to book an airline. The research findings will be explored concerning the numerous variables that may affect customers' decision-making in the airline business, the techniques used by airlines to sway consumers. Conclusions: The research has provided evidence that airlines use a variety of strategies to influence potential customers and that these strategies are generally successful in increasing customer loyalty and satisfaction, as well as sales. By utilizing these strategies, airlines can increase their customer base and profitability.

유기물 형광분석법을 활용한 유역 오염 진단 및 오염원 추적: 문헌 연구 (Application of Fluorescence Excitation Emission Matrices for Diagnosis and Source Identification of Watershed Pollution : A Review)

  • The constituents of a watershed control a wide range of ecosystem processes, such as, carbon sequestration, nutrient retention, and biodiversity preservation. Maintenance of a healthy watershed is advantageous to humans in many direct and indirect ways. Dissolved organic matter fluorescence analysis is one of the most commonly utilized parameters for water quality measurement, pollution source tracking, and determination of the ecological state of a watershed. Throughout the recent decades, the advancement in data processing, instrumentation, and methods has resulted in many improvements in the area of watershed study with fluorescence analysis. The current trend of coupling advanced instrumentations and new comparative parameters, such as, microplastics of different types, antibiotics, and specific bacterial contaminants have been reported in watershed studies. However, conventional methodologies for obtaining fluorescence excitation emission matrices and for calculating the fluorescence and spectral indices are preferred to advanced methods, due to their easiness and simple data collection. This review aims to gain a general understanding of the use of dissolved organic matter fluorescence analysis for diagnosis and source identification of watershed pollutions, by focusing on how the studies have utilized fluorescence analysis to improve existing knowledge and techniques in recent years.
