제주조의 파종량 차이에 따른 생육반응, 수량성 및 사료가치 변화 (Effects of Seeding Rate on Growth Characters, Yield Potential and Feeding Value in Jeiu Italian Millet)

  • 본 시험은 제주지역에서 파종량 차이(6, 9, 12, 15, 18kg/ha)에 따른 제주조의 생육반응, 수량 및 사료가치를 구명하기 위하여 2003년 5월1일부터 8월 25일까지 수행한 결과를 하면 다음과 같다. 출수기까지의 일수는 89일에서 96일로 파종량이 많을수록 지연되었다. 초장은 6kg/ha 파종에서 128cm 였으나 파종량이 12kg/ha로 증가됨에 따라 148cm로 커졌고 그 이상으로 파종량을 증가시킬수록 초장은 작아져서 18kg/ha 파종에서는 131cm였다. 경직경, 엽수, 마디수 및 엽폭은 파종량이 증가됨에 따라 감소되는 경향이었으나 엽장은 초장반응과 비슷한 경향이었다. 파종량이 6kg/ha에서 12kg/ha로 증가됨에 따라 생초 수량은 35.93MT/ha에서 54.83MT/ha로, 건물 수량은 10.49MT/ha에서 17.43MT/ha로, 단백질 수량은 0.94MT/ha에서 1.79MT/ha로, TDN 수량은 5.33MT/ha에서 9.27MT/ha로 증가되었다 가 그 이상으로 파종량을 증가시킬수록 단백질 수량과 TDN 수량은 감소되었다 파종량이 6kg/ha에서 18kg/ha로 증가됨에 따라 조단백질 함량은 9.0%에서 12.01%로, 조지방 함량은 1.3%에서 1.8%로, 가용무질소물은 45.6%에서 47.8%로, TDN 함량은 50.8%에서 55.0%로 증가되었으나 조섬유 함량은 35.2%에서 30.0%로, 조회분 함량은 8.8%에서 8.4%로 감소되었다. 이상의 결과로 보아 제주조의 사초수량을 최고로 올릴 수 있는 적정 파종량은 12kg/ha로 추정할 수 있었다.

시판 비파나무잎차의 영양성분 및 항산화 활성 (Nutritional Components and Antioxidant Activities of Commercial Loquat (Eryobotrya japonica) Leaf Tea)

  • 본 연구에서는 시판 비파나무잎차의 영양성분 분석 및 열수 추출물을 이용하여 항산화 효과를 조사하였다. 일반성분은 수분 5.34%, 조단백 8.38%, 조지방 13.26%, 가용성 무질소물 46.21%, 조섬유 19.24% 및 조회분 7.57%순으로 함유하고 있었다. 비타민 C 함량과 총페놀 함량은 각각 0.47 mg/100 g 및 42.55 mg/g이였다. 무기성분은 Ca, K 및 Mg 순으로 높게 나타났으며, 그 함량은 각각 1,624.01, 1,099.66 및 192.70 mg/100g이었다. 비파나무잎차의 아미노산 분석 결과 glutamic acid (565.98 mg/100 g)가 가장 높게 함유되었고, 반면 가장 낮은 함량은 cystine (12.97 mg/100 g)이였다. 시판 비파나무잎차 열수 추출물 농도 $1,000{\mu}g/mL$를 기준으로 했을 때 각각 86.87%와 98.14%의 ABTS 및 DPPH 라디칼 소거활성을 보였으며, 환원력과 ferric reducing antioxidant power (FRAP)는 농도 의존적 항산화 활성을 보였다. 따라서 시판 비파나무잎차는 항산화제와 같은 기능성 식품 소재로 이용가능성이 높을 것으로 생각된다.

Age-related digestibility of nutrients depending on the moisture content in aged dogs

  • Digestibility of pet food can affect the health of dog, especially of aged animals. To maintain the health of dogs in an overall good status it is necessary to provide nutritionally balanced food. For example, the digestibility of dogs was known to be decreased along aging. In addition, losing teethes is an often event in aged dogs that could induce a problem to eat a large size dry pet food. Nonetheless, few detailed information is available on the most suited feeding for aged dogs. As part of the nutritional study of food for aged dogs, in this study, we tested whether food type impacts on digestibility on adult versus senior dogs. The methodology to measure the digestibility of nutrients was chosen the index method using chromium oxide. Dogs were fed the same commercial dry or wet diets, which were supplemented with 0.5% chromium oxide. The wet food was prepared by adding twice volume of water in the dry food prior to incubated overnight (14-16 hours) at room temperature. After five days, their feces were collected up to a total weight of > 200 g which was the amount to analyze undigested nutrients in feces as 3 repeats. In the apparent total tract digestibility analysis of the experimental breed, no difference in the digestibility of crude protein, crude fat, crude fiber, ash, and energy was observed regarding the moisture content of the food. Noteworthy, the digestibility of nitrogen free extract was significantly increased in senior dogs fed dry dog food compared with adult dogs fed the same diet, whereas no difference was observed between senior and adult dogs fed wet food. The small breed dogs showed similar results to the experimental breed dogs. However, the digestibility of crude fat was additionally affected by age and food type unlike the experimental breed dogs. This finding suggests that the food moisture content affects the digestibility of nutrients in dogs with aging. Hence, it may be helpful to determine the nutrient contents in foods for senior dogs depending on the food type.

브로일러에 있어서 항생제의 성장촉진 효과 (The Effect of Antibiotics on the Performance of Broiler Chicks)

  • 항생제인 Spiramycin과 Virginiamycin의 성장촉진 효과를 측정하기 위하여 총 360수의 육용계 (broiler chicken) 초생추를 battery에 수용하여 각각 6주씩 2차에 걸친 사양시험과 4일간의 대사시험을 실시하였다. 1차 실험에서는 고단백(21.9%), 고열량( 3159kca1/kg) 사료를 사용하였으며 180수의 숫병아리를 10수씩 무첨가구 Spiramycin(5ppm)구 및 Virginiamycin(5ppm)구에 각각 6반복씩 완전임의 배치하였다. 2차실험에서는 중단백( 19,95%), 중열량(2931 kca1/kg) 사료를 사용하고 90수의 숫병아리와 90수의 암병아리를 10수씩 분리하여 처리당 암ㆍ수 각각 3 반복씩 배치하였다. 사양시험을 통하여 얻어진 증체량, 사료섭취량, 사료효율 및 폐사율은 처리구간에 통계적 유의차가 없었으나 1, 2차 실험 공히 항생제 B구가 무처리구(1차실험) 또는 항생제 A구(2차실험) 보다 약 3% 높은 증체량을 나타내었다. 사료효율에 있어서도 항생제 B구가 가장 좋은 경향을 보여주었다. 2차실험의 결과에 의하면 증체량, 사료섭취량 및 사료효율에 있어서 암수간에는 유의한(p〈0.01) 차이가 있었다. 대사시험결과 항생제 B구가 타처리구보다 영양소 이용률이 높은 경향을 나타내었으며 특히 1차 실험에 있어서 조지방의 이용률은 타처리에 비해 유의하게 (p〈0.01) 높았고 조섬유이용률도 항생제 A구에 비해 유의하게 (p〈0.05) 높았다. 한편 대사체중당 소장의 무게와 길이는 항생제 B구가 타처리구에 비해 무겁고 긴 경향을 보여주었다.

칡덩굴을 이용한 남은 음식물의 발효사료화 (Fermented Feeds Production of Garbages using Kudzu Creeper as a Bulking Material)

  • The study on the fermented feeds production of garbages have been conducted to determine the optimum operation condition. The process variables considered for this study were initial air flow rate and temperature control. The results showed that optimum air requirement was $4{\ell}-air/min{\cdot}kg-$ garbages on dry weight basis which is equal to $0.8{\ell}-air/min{\cdot}kg-$ garbages on the basis of 80% moisture content. The optimum initial temperature control in the reactor was $40^{\circ}C$. Crude fiber content of fermented final byproducts were higher than feedstuffs standard for pig breeding and consequently final byproducts had to mix with single-component feed.

담배줄기를 이용한 판상엽 제조 (Tobacco Stalks Utilization Process for Making Reconstitute Tobacco Sheet)

  • The chemical components of tobacco stalk, stems of tobacco caltivations, were analyzed and reconstituted tobacco sheet were made from the stalk and tobacco hyproducts by rolled and paper reconstitute tobacco sheet making process. The results were summarized as follow 1. In the viewpoint of chemical components, nicotine, total nitrogen and ash content of stalk were lower than those of stems, but crude fiber was two times higher than stems. 2. Reconstituted tobacco sheet of tobacco stalk blended were improved fragility and specific gravity than those of control. 3. Smoke components delivery of cigarette made from reconstituted tobacco sheet of tobacco stalk blended were similar to control cigarette. 4. According to the result of ranking preference test for control and sample cigarette, were not recognized significant at 5 percent level. 5. According to the result of areas test for control and sample cigarette, were not recognized significant at 5 percent level. 6. Optimum stalk blend ratio of reconstituted tobacco sheet manufacturing was from about 20 to 40% to the rolled sheet, and was from about 5 to 10% to the paper making process tobacco sheet.

죽순분말을 첨가한 절편(떡)의 특성 (Quality Properties of Rice Cake Containing Bamboo Sprout Powder)

  • Bamboo sprout powder was added to rice cake in an effort to improve the quality and functional properties of dough. The contents of crude protein and carbohydrates increased as the amount of bamboo sprout powder increased, whereas moisture contents decreased. According to increasing contents of bamboo sprout powder, total amino acid contents significantly increased. Hunter's L value decreased as contents of bamboo sprout powder increased, whereas sucrose contents increased. Addition of bamboo sprout powder to rice cake increased dietary fiber contents. Sensory scores of rice cake containing 90 g of bamboo sprout powder were the highest of all rice cakes tested. According to the results, adding bamboo sprout powder could improve the quality and sensory characteristics of rice cake.

  • In order to observe the absorption pattern of mineral elements and the nutritional components of brown rice grown in reclaimed saline areas in Korea, the four commercial varieties of rice were cultured at the average salt concentration of 6.05 mmhos/cm, $25^{\circ}C$, (0.3%) in saline soils and non-saline silty loam soils. In the saline areas the absorptin of Na and Si was relatively high while the absorption of P, K and Ca was relatively low. N was absorbed actively before the emergence of the rice grains but showed relative decrease thereafter. There was no difference in Mg content. Though brown rice in the saline areas contained sugar abundantly with small contents of protein, fat and crude fiber. There was little difference in total carbollydrate and ash contonts.

  • 만다린 오렌지 과피를 기질로 하여 Asp. niger의 구연산 발효를 행하여 관련된 일련의 효소적 활성을 합성배지와 비교한 결과 만다린 오렌지 과피배지에서는 괴피에 함유된 Pectin이나 조섬유 등의 자화로 인하여 Polygalacturonase와 Pectin의 활성 뿐만 아니라 CMCase, xylannase 및 amylase의 활성이 높게 나타났다.

추출 회수에 따른 홍삼 extract의 성분 조성에 관한 연구 (Effect of Extraction on Chemical Composition of Rcd Ginseng Extract)

  • Red ginseng was extracted with water and analyzed for yield, saponin, pectin and other chemical composition. It was found that: (1) The total solid content in extract after 6 times of extraction was 46.8%,: including 13.6% of centrifugal residue; (2) 83.7% of total extractable solids and 86% total saponin was extracted after the initial three runs of extraction. (3) No significant changes were observed in HPLC pattern of extracted saponins over a range of extractions; (4) The ratio of centrifugal residue to total solids increased as the number of extractions increased; (5) The ratios of fat, protein, reducing sugar and pectin contents decreased with repeating extraction while those of crude fiber, total sugar and 35% alcohol insoluble residue increased when they were compared with total solids.
