The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between the consumer's product knowledge and his/her ability to obtain information when buying clothing. For the purpose of this study, questionnaires were given to 550 university students living in Seoul and the Kwgi area. The questionnaires were designed to measure the consumer's knowledge about examine his/her method of gathering information and to obtain some personal information Vsing a base of 407 students, data was analyzed through cross- tabulation, the chi square test, the t-test, the one-way ANOVA accompanied by a post-hoc analysis with the Tukey method, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and the Spearman rho. The results of this study were as follows. 1) There was a significant difference in the amount of iuormation seeking between groups with different knowledge related to clothing. 2) The use of information sources was found to be significantly related to the consumer's subjective and objective knowledge. 3) The consumer's level of knowledge about clothing was related to the store characteristics that he/she took into consideration. The difference between the groups came from the number of store characteristics taken into consideration, rather than from the contents. The group that had more knowledge related to clothing was more aware of store characteristics than the other level stoup. Price, quality, uniqueness, and variety of clothing were equally important to by groups. 4) A moderate relationship was found between the consumer's subjective and objective knowledge, and between his/her purchasing experience and objective knowledge. There was a relatively high relationship between purchasing experience and subjective knowledge.

This study aims to obtain basic data to develop clothes for dementia patients by classifying types of dementia patients. Data was collected from those dementia patients who entered a nursing home. This study analyzed a total of 221 sheets. Furthermore, descriptive statistics, cross-tabulation, and K-means clustering were performed for statistical processing using Minitab 14. As a result, dementia patients were classified into four types: inactive-dependent, active-problematic behavior, activity-autonomy, and inactive-offensive. Inactive-dependent type was a group with the most severe disability in cognitive and daily activity functions; however, they lacked behavioral and psychological symptoms and problematic behavior with clothes. Active-problematic behavior type showed the most behavioral and psychological problems and problematic behavior with clothes. Activity-autonomy type was a group without any problematic behaviors. Moreover, the inactive-offensive type had very good cognitive function toward humans. The study imply that it is necessary to provide clothes with proper functions based on the types of patients rather than providing them uniform clothes because clinical and clothes behaviors differ significantly depending on the types of dementia patients.
This study aims to investigate the correlation between the occurrence of colon polyps and carotid IMT by age. This study checked the correlation between the occurrence of colon polyps and carotid IMT, grouping patients who had a colonoscopy and carotid ultrasonography simultaneously by age based on cross-tabulation. As a result of the analysis, by age, the older the patients with metabolic syndrome, the higher the correlation between the occurrence of colon polyps and carotid IMT became. Also, when carotid IMT was more than 1.1mm, the incidence of polyps was high. In conclusion, there was a high correlation of the occurrence rate of colon polyps with carotid ultrasonography and colonoscopy, and the older the patient and the thicker the carotid IMT, the higher the correlation became.
Objectives: This study aimed to examine the association between age at menarche and two major oral diseases. Methods: Data from the 7th Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (2016-2018) were used. The participants included girls and women aged 12 years and above. Thedataofa total of 7,420 participants were analyzed. Statistical analyses were performed using complex samples cross-tabulation analysis and complex samples general linear model. Results: The average age at menarche of those aged 12 to 80 years was 13.81 years. The age at menarche was found to be associated with decayed-missing-filled teeth (DMFT) (p<0.05). When the age at menarche was nine years, DMFT was 4.20 when it was 19 years, DMFT was 10.80. The age at menarche was found to be associated with periodontal tissue state (p<0.05). The group with early menarche age had healthier periodontal tissues (17.1%), whereas the group with late menarche age had more unhealthy periodontal tissues (17.9%) (p<0.001). Conclusions: The age at menarche was associated with two major oral diseases. Therefore, it is necessary to provide women with oral hygiene care and oral health education to prevent major oral diseases before their secondary sex characteristics appear.
This study investigates the productivity of Indonesian social scientists during the COVID-19 pandemic, with a particular concentration on their contributions to COVID-19 prevention and management. By categorizing social science research according to themes such as authors' gender, authors' institution of origin, forms of collaboration, and journal quality, this study examines the patterns and factors that influence research output. Using information from the Scopus database, 1,071 journal articles were analyzed in total. The findings indicate that collaborations with foreign researchers considerably improve productivity and publication quality, with Malaysian and Australian institutions serving as the most active partners. Nevertheless, there are gender disparities, as female authors write and are cited less frequently than male authors. The study stresses the importance of increasing international collaboration among Indonesian authors and implementing affirmative action policies to support and empower female researchers. This study contributes to the existing body of knowledge by providing policymakers, funding agencies, and academic institutions with recommendations for fostering a more inclusive and influential research environment in Indonesia.
STATEMENT OF PROBLEM: Factors affecting patients' decision-making for dental prosthetic treatment should be examined in terms of understanding improving patients' oral health. PURPOSE: The main purpose of this dissertation was to investigate patients' dental prosthetic treatment and factors affecting patients' decision-making for dental prosthesis treatment in Deagu and Gyungbook areas. MATERIAL AND METHODS: This study was based on the preliminary survey of dental patients conducted from July 1 to August 31 in 2006. A total of 700 questionnaires had been distributed and 640 were collected. 629 questionnaires were used for the statistical analysis. Descriptive and inferential statistics, such as frequencies, cross tabulation analysis, correlation analysis, logistic regression analysis, and multiple regression analysis were introduced. In the multiple regression analysis and logistic regression analysis, twenty-two independent variables were employed to explore the factors which have impacts on decision-making and satisfaction. RESULTS: The results of this dissertation are as follows: Logistic regression analysis turned out that monthly income, age, degree of expectation, marital status, and employer-insured policy of national insurance statistically increased the odds of decision-making of dental prosthesis treatment. But educational attainment decreased the odds ratio of the decision-making of dental prosthesis treatment. However, the rest independent variables do not have statistically significant impacts on the decision-making of dental prosthesis treatment CONCLUSION: Among independent variables, marital status had the most significant influence on the decision making of dental prosthesis treatment. Finally, suggestions for the future study and policy implications to improve satisfaction of the patients' dental prosthetic treatment were discussed.
The purpose of this study is to verify the factors affecting corporate bankruptcy by using non-financial information of companies invested by credit guarantee institutions. In this study, 594 companies (525 normal companies, 69 insolvent companies) invested in by the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund from March 2014 to the end of December 2022 were selected as samples. Non-financial information of companies was divided into founder characteristics information, company characteristics information, and corporate investment information, and cross-analysis and logistic regression analysis were conducted. As a result of the cross-analysis, personal credit rating, industry, and joint investment were selected as significant variables, and logistic regression analysis was conducted for those variables, and two variables, personal credit rating and joint investment, were selected as important factors for bankruptcy. In business management, the founder's personal credit and the importance of joint investment in investment support were found out. It will help to minimize bankruptcy if institutions that support investment in SMEs reflect these results in their screening and systematically build cooperative relationships with private investment institutions. It is hoped that this study will provide an opportunity to pay more attention to the factors that affect the bankruptcy of companies that receive direct investment from public institutions.
The purpose of the paper is to offer an analysis of adult probationers and their recidivism and to suggest a policy to prevent recidivism. Various data analysis methods like frequency analysis, cross-tabulation analysis, regression analysis and logistic regression analysis were used to determine which of a second offense factors and recidivism included in initial data investigation could effectively explain or forecast reference values. This study focused on identifying relations associated with follow-up misconducts of adults under probation, and supposing that those factors could be associated with their second offenses. But it failed to yield so much significant findings. Nevertheless, this study has its own significance in a sense that it explored various risk factors and desires of adults under probation according to empirical data, and suggested formulated measures useful in practice to select and categorize appropriate treatments.

This study focused on the development of a scale measuring the effect of consumer education. The purposes of this study were to develop a tool which could measure consumer knowledge, consumer attitudes and consumer behavior. Data were collected from 266 college students. Analysis was done using frequency, cross tabulation analysis, reliability test, principle components factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis (Amos 5.0), and multiple regression analysis. The results from this study were as follows: 1) Nine consumer knowledge factors (23-items) were identified: consciousness of consumer education and evaluation, consumer rights and allowance management, methods of consumer education and consumer institutions, green energy and environmental consumption, essence and content of consumer education, consumer rights and consumer duty, critical consideration and consumer's damage salvation, buying minds and decision-making, independent consumers. Total variance was 58.4%. Cronbach's alpha for the nine factors ranged from .68-.79. 2) Five consumer attitude factors (26-items) were identified: green environmental consumption, consumer's role and rights, resources saving and consumer's damage salvation, consciousness of consumers, and right consumption. Total variance was 59.2%. Cronbach's alpha for the five factors ranged from .89-.94. 3) Seven consumer behavior factors (27-items) were identified: social role and rights of consumer and consumer movement, right buying and segregated garbage collection, green environmental consumption and resources saving, altruism and decision-making, allowance management and impulse buying, consumer's damage salvation, and consciousness of consumer. The total variance was 59.1%. Cronbach's alpha for the seven factors ranged from .77-.88. Finally, a scale measuring the effect of consumer education consisting of 76 items (consumer knowledge: 23 items (9 factors), consumer attitude: 26 items (5 factors), consumer behavior: 27 items (7 factors)) was constructed.
This study was conducted to investigate effects of self concept of children consumers on consumption propensity of online items according to gender by considering that self, which means a thought on ownself, is expressed as online items in cyber space. Totally, 760 copies of the questionnaire were distributed and 716 ones were finally used as data for analysis in this study. The data were analyzed by using SPSS 14.0 and factorial analysis, Cronbach' ${\alpha}$, t-test, cross tabulation analysis and multiple regression were conducted. The results of this study could be summarized as follows. First, the factorial analysis performed to examine types of self concept found four factorial structures - justness, social, academic and family self. In addition, the factorial analysis done to determine compositional factors of irrational consumption propensity of children consumers showed three factorial structures - impulse buying, conspicuous consumption and imitative consumption. When the effects of personal variables, item-transaction variables and self concept on irrational consumption propensity of children consumers were investigated according to gender, significant factors affecting consumption propensity of both of the males and females were a monthly pocket money, time using the Internet and major transaction items. In addition, parents' permission for purchasing items, justness self and family self were found to be variables affecting consumption propensity in the male children. On the contrary, self concept of female children did not affect irrational consumption propensity.
