  • Clothing shape is principally described in seven factors that are composed of clothing design, clothing material, clothing size, pattern design, sewing method and body motion etc.. The aims of this study was to measurement out-line space-shape variation of clothing fitness with somato type by using the image processing. The subjects for direct anthropometric measurements were 248 female college students aged from 19 to 22. The data were statistically analyzed by principal analysis and cluster analysis. The results were obtained three somato type. Also I made skirts in order to analyzed to the out-line space-shape variation of clothing fitness with body. The effect of somato type on the shape of flare skirts was determined by the out-line space-shape variation of clothing fitness with body. The out-line space-shape variation of clothing fitness with body was observed between the node number and amplitudes of clothing wave form and node number was determined at the maxim of space-shape amplitude, and the space-shape amplitudes have related with aspect ratio of cross-sectional shape. Results for flare skirts show changes in amplitude and mean with fabrics, somato type. therefore gray-level histogram are correlated with changes out-line space-shape, differences in drape spacing and related fabric properties and their somato type. • The concentration fields in the proximities of a local gas emission source are experimentally analyzed in several combinations of wind incidences and source emissions. These conditions are determined by the plume buoyancy, emission velocity and incident flow wind speed. Concentration measurements are performed by an aspirating probe in a boundary layer wind tunnel. The analysis included the mean concentration values and the intensity of concentration fluctuations in a neutral atmospheric boundary layer flow. Different configurations are tested: an isolated stack in a homogeneous terrain and a stack with a bluff body in close proximity, located windward and leeward from the emission source. The experimental mean concentration values are contrasted with Gaussian profiles and the dilution factor is analyzed with respect to the empirical curves of the minimum dilution. Finally, a study on the plume intermittency is performed in a cross-sectional plane near the emission source. It is possible to highlight the following observations: a) plume vertical asymmetry in the case of an isolated emission source, b) significant differences in the dispersion process related to the relative location of the emission source and bluff body effects, and c) different probabilistic behavior of the concentration fluctuation data in a cross-sectional measurement plane inside the plume.

  • Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the impact of family resilience on caregiver well-being across various age groups of children diagnosed with ADHD (attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder) groups (0-5, 6-11, and 12-17 years). Methods: Utilizing secondary data from the 2022 US National Survey of Child Health, this cross-sectional study involved 2,752 children who were formally diagnosed with ADHD. Statistical analysis included descriptive analysis, Spearman's rank correlation, chi-square tests, and linear regression, conducted using SPSS version 27. Results: The study revealed a moderate positive correlation (r=.35, p<.001) between family resilience and caregiver well-being. Controlling for covariates, family resilience accounted for 25.2%, 21.1%, and 22.1% of caregiver well-being variance in age groups 0-5, 6-11, and 12-17 years, respectively. Additionally, factors like employment status, family structure, and caregiver age showed varying influences on caregiver well-being across these developmental stages. A consistent pattern emerged across these age groups: unemployment and non-traditional family structures were associated with negative impacts on caregiver well-being, whereas older caregiver age positively influenced well-being. Conclusion: This research underscores the importance of age-specific family resilience strategies to improve caregiver well-being and family interactions in ADHD contexts. Investigating these aspects through qualitative studies across various cultures could deepen our understanding of well-being and inform culturally sensitive interventions.

  • This paper applies DEA windows analysis in order to determine the efficiency of the Districts of Busan Metropolitan City over time for 5 years (2003 - 2007). This paper used such factors including Number of solutions of civil petitions, Local Tax Collection, and Financial Independent rate as output, Total Labor Costs, Government Employees, Population and Expenditure as inputs. This study concludes that the efficiency of the different District can fluctuate over time to different extents and efficiency of most District decreases from 2003. Indeed, the empirical results reveal that substantial inefficiency exists in some Districts at some point in time. In consequence, this validates the necessity for using DEA windows analysis in preference to an analysis based upon cross-sectional data. This paper shows that Districts' efficiency decreases as Window goes to 1 to 3.

  • The detection of corporate failures is a subject that has been particularly amenable to cross-sectional financial ratio analysis. In most of firms, however, the financial data are available over past years. Because of this, a model utilizing these longitudinal data could provide useful information on the prediction of bankruptcy. To correctly reflect the longitudinal and firm-specific data, the generalized linear model with assuming the first order AR(autoregressive) process is proposed. The method is motivated by the clinical research that several characteristics are measured repeatedly from individual over the time. The model is compared with several other predictive models to evaluate the performance. By using the financial data from manufacturing corporations in the Korea Stock Exchange (KSE) list, we will discuss some experiences learned from the procedure of sampling scheme, variable transformation, imputation, variable selection, and model evaluation. Finally, implications of the model with repeated measurement and future direction of research will be discussed.

  • This paper describes the fusing time characteristics of Light PVC Sheathed Circular Cord(VCTF) and Tray Frame Retardant(TFR) cables according to increased temperature under over current condition. The experimental equation will be used to determine the validity and reliability of the test results. The over current flowed 3, 5 and 10 times higher than the amount of allowable current using DC power supply with DAQ(Data Acquisition) measurement system. An infrared radiation heater, which was controlled by a variable AC auto transformer, was used to increase the temperature from room temperature to 50, 100 and 150 degrees Celsius. First, two type of cables were analyzed those with different cross-sectional areas with in the same structure and those with different structures with in the same cross-sectional areas. Then, it was determined how fusing time had been influenced according to the cross-sectional areas and different structures, respectively. The cable resistance was increased by joule heating according to increasing temperature. Therefore, the allowable current of cable is decreased. Finally, the fusing time of the cable was decreased due to increased temperatures at current flow, which were 3 times the amount of allowable current. The instantaneous breakdown was observed when current flow was 5 and 10 times over the amount of allowable current. The fusing time is directly affected by the structure of cable insulation.

  • PURPOSE: This study examined the changes in the cross-sectional area (CSA) of the abductor hallucis muscle during various ankle positions while performing toespread-out (TSO) exercise. METHODS: Thirty subjects with an average age of 22.1 years were recruited for this study. All subjects were firstly measured for the angle of their first metatarsophalangeal joint using a goniometer. Those with angles greater than 15° were allocated to the HV group. The remaining subjects were placed in the normal group. The CSA of the abductor hallucis was measured by ultrasound in the resting position with no movement and three ankle positions: neutral (0°), plantarflexion (30°), and dorsiflexion (30°). All data were analyzed using a two-way mixed analysis of variance between the groups (normal and HV group) and within the groups (resting, neutral, plantarflexion, and dorsiflexion) to determine the group x position interaction effects. RESULTS: During TSO exercise in the normal group, the CSA of the abductor hallucis was significantly greater in both the plantarflexion and neutral positions compared to the resting position (padj < .01), and plantarflexion was significantly greater than the dorsiflexion position (padj < .01). During the TSO exercise in the HV group, the CSA of the abductor hallucis for plantarflexion was significantly greater than it was for the resting, neutral, and dorsiflexion positions (padj < .01). CONCLUSION: Based on the above results, the TSO exercise in plantarflexion is an effective rehabilitation exercise for subjects with HV.

  • This study aimed to assess the influence of different cross-sectional area on the cyclic fatigue fracture of Ni-Ti rotary files using a fatigue tester incorporating cyclical axial movement. Six brands of Ni-Ti rotary files (ISO 30 size with. 04 taper) of 10 each were tested: Alpha system (KOMET), HeroShaper (MicroMega), K3 (SybronEndo), Mtwo (VDW), NRT (Mani), and ProFile (Dentsply). A fatigue-tester (Denbotix) was designed to allow cyclic tension and compressive stress on the tip of the instrument. Each file was mounted on a torque controlled motor (Aseptico) using a 1:20 reduction contra-angle and was rotated at 300 rpm with a continuous, 6 mm axial oscillating motion inside an artificial steel canal. The canal had a $60^{\circ}$ angle and a 5 mm radius of curvature. Instrument fracture was visually detected and the time until fracture was recorded by a digital stop watch. The data were analyzed statistically. Fractographic analysis of all fractured surfaces was performed to determine the fracture modes using a scanning electron microscope. Cross-sectional area at 3 mm from the tip of 3 unused Ni-Ti instruments for each group was calculated using Image-Pro Plus (Imagej 1.34n, NIH). Results showed that NRT and ProFile had significantly longer time to fracture compared to the other groups (p < .05). The cross-sectional area was not significantly associated with fatigue resistance. Fractographycally, all fractured surfaces demonstrated a combination of ductile and brittle fracture. In conclusion, there was no significant relationship between fatigue resistance and the cross-sectional area of Ni-Ti instruments under experimental conditions.

  • This study was a cross-sectional descriptive research to analyze the effects of sub-factors of cognitive emotional control on happiness levels. The participants of the study were 201 men and women in their 20s, and data were collected online from January 1 to 15 collected data were, 2001 using structured cognitive control and happiness level questionnaires. The collected data were conducted Independent t-test, Pearson correlation analysis, simple regression analysis, multiple regression Analysis, hierarchical regression analysis using SPSS 18.0 statistic program. As a result, the study appeared that the level of happiness by gender does not differ, and cognitive emotional control affected 58.5%. The average of cognitive emotional control was higher for all men, but women were higher than men in criticized others. Also, acceptance was the sub-factor of emotional control that most affected the level of happiness (β=-.587, p<0.01). Based on the results of this study, it is suggested that a systematic program on subject of acceptance, a sub-factor of cognitive emotional control, should be developed to improve the level of happiness.

  • This study analysed determinants of Foreign Direct Investment to ASEAN+ 3 member nations using panel data for which cross-sectional data are combined with time series data. The data for the analysis included the amount of FDI, GDP, and indexes of economic independence. This study collected data from six nations(Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam) whose data were easily available, China and Japan from 2003 to 2007 and analysed them. The results are summarized as follows: Using the pooled OLS method, we found Model 2 had the highest explanatory power whose adjusted R-squared was 89.4%, which accounted for about 89% of foreign investment. Using the fixed effect model, Model 2 had the highest explanatory power whose adjusted R-squared was 96.8%, which accounted for about 97% of foreign investment. Using the probability effect model, Model 5 had the highest explanatory power, but in respect to its statistical significance, only GDP was 1% significant and the rest variables had no significance.
