  • Proactive prevention is important for crime. Past crimes have focused on coping after death and punishing them. But with Big Data technology, crime can be prevented spontaneously. Big data can predict the behavior of criminals or potential criminals. This article discusses how to build a big data system for crime prevention. Specifically, it deals with the way to combine unstructured data of big data with basic form data, and as a result, designs crime prevention system. Through this study, it is expected that the possibility of using big data for crime prevention is described through fingerprints, and it is expected to help crime prevention program and research in future.

  • This research aims to securement of crime prevention for school violence and invasion from outside etc. For crime prevention efficiency secure, It has purpose for school current state comprehension and prevention essential elements deduction autonomously etc. Furthermore, school facility crime dangerousness evaluation checklist is looked for autonomous monitoring tools. This checklist made from analysis of frequency, importance and check availability of 6 native and foreign existing CPTED evaluation's 360 indexes. Then, 81 indexes was derived from analysis, and that indexs verified through focus group interview. Finally, total 47 articles checklist emerged with general details, external school, internal school, and school administrative managements. Through this checklist, school can select essential elements of the preferential crime prevention autonomously, and so it is expected to prompt improvement of crime dangerousness elements, school violence and reduction of crime rate.

  • There is a growing residential type to be one-person householes, but alternative and consideration for them is short. Especially, one-person households's crime prevention is not considered. So, In this study, one-person households resident's inside and surroundings of residential's fear of crime and a part of weakness for crime were investigated by types of houses and sex. For the result, One-room resident's fear of crime is the highest at inside, surroundings, fear of crime compare to other type of residents and more than 2 households and the apartment's resident has less fear of crime at inside and surroundings than other types residents. Also, female has more fear of crime than male at inside, but outside's is resemblance between them.

  • This article investigates intelligent security integrated platform for real-time crime response and preventive crime prevention. This study analyzed intelligent crime prevention platform elements by analyzing crime prevention system/platform research, intelligent crime prevention research, and case study of municipality integrated operation center crime prevention system. Through this, we developed a practical intelligent security platform, and suggested a linkage with existing municipalities and smart city integrated platform system considering scalability. This enables CCTV monitoring, which is used only for existing post processing, to cope with real-time crime. It is expected that it will be able to solve the incidents in golden-time by grasping the precise position of the complainant not only in the outdoor but also indoors. It is also possible to provide citizen-centered crime-prevention social safety net information sharing service by enhancing citizen participation as well as improving control efficiency. The intelligent security platform has advantages that it is easy to spread the municipality because it is developed considering existing municipal system, smart city integration platform, and linkage and expansion with other security services.

  • To improve urban safety there is an increasing social need for environmental design against crime, which is defined as the creation of inconvenient environments or situations for criminal offenders. By using a cluster analysis, we aimed to clarify crime occurrence patterns from the perspective of land-use. Osaka Prefecture was chosen as the study area because it has the highest crime rate in Japan. The results revealed that there are six patterns of crime occurrence, and that cities of medium-level of mixed land-use have the lowest crime rates.

  • This paper proposes a solution for innovating crime prevention and real-time response through the development of the Smart Drone Police System. The system integrates big data, artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and autonomous drone driving technologies [2][5]. It stores and analyzes crime statistics from the Statistics Office and the Public Prosecutor's Office, as well as real-time data collected by drones, including location, video, and audio, in a cloud-based database [6][7]. By predicting high-risk areas and peak times for crimes, drones autonomously patrol these identified zones using a self-driving algorithm [5][8]. Equipped with video and voice recognition technologies, the drones detect dangerous situations in real-time and recognize threats using deep learning-based analysis, sending immediate alerts to the police control center [3][9]. When necessary, drones form an ad-hoc network to coordinate efforts in tracking suspects and blocking escape routes, providing crucial support for police dispatch and arrest operations [2][11]. To ensure sustained operation, solar and wireless charging technologies were introduced, enabling prolonged patrols that reduce operational costs while maintaining continuous surveillance and crime prevention [8][10]. Research confirms that the Smart Drone Police System is significantly more cost-effective than CCTV or patrol car-based systems, showing a 40% improvement in real-time response speed and a 25% increase in crime prevention effectiveness over traditional CCTV setups [1][2][14]. This system addresses police staffing shortages and contributes to building safer urban environments by enhancing response times and crime prevention capabilities [4].

  • This study quantitatively evaluates the economic value of an intelligent crime-zero testbed by using the contingent valuation method (CVM), which is the most effective for non-market valuations in fields like crime prevention. To minimize hypothetical convenience and increase respondents' awareness regarding the actual situation, an analysis was conducted for Indukwon District, Anyang City, Gyeonggi-do, by using the intelligent crime prevention technologies and solutions being developed by the KICT Research Center. This analysis was aimed at providing a systematic basis for determining the feasibility of crime prevention-related public projects. As a result, the WTP of Anyang citizens in the intelligent crime prevention demonstration district was estimated to be 7,160 won. The analysis shows that the area of Gwanyang 2, where the test bed belongs, has a high economic value of KRW 660 million per year, and KRW 51.4 billion per year when expanded to Anyang City. This study is significant in that it provides the first domestic evaluation of the crime-zero testbed. In addition, it has academic and practical value for a future-oriented service model by using intelligent crime prevention technologies and solutions that can be applied in real life and to the crime-zero testbed.

  • According to the document from the National Industrial Security Center in 2015, from 2003 to 2014 the disclosure number of industrial spy in South Korea was 438, and the damages due to the industrial technology leakages amounted 50 trillion won annually. Because the industrial technology leakage exercises great influence on the enterprises and the country. countermeasures against industrial technology leakages should be established. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to suggest measures preventing industrial technology leakages and related crimes in enterprises by applying the Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design(CPTED) technique. This research analyzed the recent technology leakage cases and used an analysis of literature research. From the result of this research, we suggested 1) Access Control, 2) Surveillance Enhancement, 3) Territoriality of Reinforcement, and 4) Activity Support by applying the CPTED technique for preventing industrial technology leakages. The limitations of this research and the recommendations for future research were discussed at the last part of this research.

  • Since the Fourth Industrial Revolution, important technologies such as big data analysis, robotics, Internet of Things, and the artificial intelligence have been used in various fields. Generally speaking it is understood that the big-data technology consists of gathering stage for enormous data, analyzing and processing stage and distributing stage. Until now crime records which is one of useful big-sized data are utilized to obtain investigation information after occurring crimes. If crime records are utilized to predict crimes it is believed that crime occurring frequency can be lowered by processing big-sized crime records in big-data framework. In this research the design is proposed that the smart system can provide the users of smart devices crime occurrence probability by processing crime records in big-data analysis. Specifically it is meant that the proposed system will guide safer routes by displaying crime occurrence probabilities on the digital map in a smart device. In the experiment result for a smart application dealing with small local area it is showed that its usefulness is quite good in crime prevention.
