Card-Not-Present (CNP) transactions taking place remotely over the Internet are becoming more prevalent. Cardholder authentication should be provided to prevent the CNP fraud resulting from the theft of stored credit card numbers. To address the security problems associated with CNP transactions, the use of a virtual card number derived from the transaction details for the payment has been proposed, instead of the real card number. Since all of the virtual card number schemes proposed so far are based on a password shared between the cardholder and card issuer, transaction disputes due to the malicious behavior of one of the parties involved in the transaction cannot be resolved. In this paper, a new virtual card number scheme is proposed, which is associated with the cardholder's public key for signature verification. It provides strong cardholder authentication and non-repudiation of the transaction without deploying a public-key infrastructure, so that the transaction dispute can be easily resolved. The proposed scheme is analyzed in terms of its security and usability, and compared with the previously proposed schemes.
This paper illustrates the competition between the mobile pay and credit card systems by utilizing the theory of two-sided markets. Two firms, as platforms, maximize the profit collecting fees from consumers on one side and from retailers on the other side. Consumers pay to buy goods and services with mobile pay, credit card, or cash. The basic model is one that each platform maximizes its profit. We show that the fees for credit card holders and retailers are higher than the respective costs. The fee for retailers of the mobile payment is higher than its cost, while the buyer's fee may be higher or lower than its cost. Applied model is the one that employs the delegation game model. The total profit of the mobile pay system is composed of its profit and the weighted demand for the mobile pay. It is shown that buyers' fee under the applied model is lower than that under the basic model, resulting in an increase of the demand for the mobile pay. The fee for the retailers rises, albeit the sum of fees for the buyers and retailers falls. The profit for the mobile pay system is increased, while that for the credit card company stays the same.
Credit card holders are showing a higher level of psychology to show their identity beyond the means of payment. The purpose of this study is to investigate which design factors affect the 30th and 40th generation housewives when issuing credit cards. A total of 200 people in the 30s and 40s housewives who live in Seoul and the metropolitan area were selected from among the customers who use the credit card, and the effect of the design factors of the domestic credit card on the selection of the credit card, Based on previous studies, questionnaires were prepared and surveyed. As a result of the survey, it was found that the color design of the credit card design element was the achromatic system and the main image was the simple design which only used the color without emphasizing the image or the logo, and then the character type was preferred. I prefer not to have a card decoration, and I have found that a metal-like card material is the most preferred. Through this, I would like to suggest directions for the design development for 30 and 40 housewives in credit card companies.
Electronic Commerce has already existed for over 20 years. The Bolero project initially had the support of TEDIS, and now is jointly financed by SWIFT(Society for World International Financial Telecommunications) which handles most of the electronic funds transfer for banks, and the Through Transport Mutual Assurance Association(the TT Club), a mutual insurance association most of whose members are drawn from the Multimodal transport industry or transport intermediaries. Bolero's mission is to provide guaranteed and secure delivery, in electronic form, of trade documentation, globally, based on a binding legal environment and common procedures, Bolero will also provide a platform for provision of neutral cross-industry services. TradeCard is a payment and settlement system that is an alternative to letters of credit. That is, TradeCard is a business-to-business e-commerce infrastructure that enables buyers and sellers to conduct and settle international trade transactions securely over the Internet. Paperless, payment-guaranteed international trade transactions - which eliminate the traditional letters of credit with electronic certifications - are widely considered the most difficult B2B transactions to conduct.
EMV was formed in February 1999 by Europay International, MasterCard International and Visa International to manage, maintain and enhance the EMV Integrated Circuit Card Specifications for Payment Systems as technology advances and the implementation of chip card programs become more prevalent. The formation of EMV ensures that single terminal and card approval processes are developed at a level that will allow cross payment system interoperability through compliance with the EMV specifications. A credit card environment of the domestic market adopted the standard Local-EMV to have the compatibility with EMV international standard and the EMV migration have been carried out b,# the step-by-step process. It may be possible to adopt various kinds of cryptographic algorithms, however, RSA public key algorithm is currently used. In this paper, as a public key algorithm for the authentication process, Elliptic Curve Cryptographic algorithm is applied to the EMV process. Implementation results is shown. and the possible changes necessary to accommodate Elliptic Curve Cryrtography is proposed.

WPP protocol based a Credit card payment in mobile Internet uses WTLS which is security protocol of WAP. WTLS can't provide EndtoEnd security in network. In this paper, we propose a protocol both independent in mobile Internet platform and allow a security between user and VASP using Mobile Gateway in AIP. In particular, our proposed protocol is suitable in mobile Internet, since session key for authentication and initial payment process is generated using Weil DiffieHellman key exchange method that use additive group algorithm on elliptic curve.
The Purpose of this Article is to analyze the special settlement and electronic settlement system in the international trade. First, Factoring is a fast, easy and flexible way to improve a company's cash flow and generate working capital for the company. Factoring can be short-term or part of an ongoing financing program. New companies can benefit as well, since there is no requirement for a long-term credit history. Second, Forfaiting is a method of trade financing that allows exporters to obtain cash and be free of all risks by selling their medium term receivables on a 'without recourse' basis. Forfaiting can be an alternative to export credit or insurance cover, especially for those transactions in which the export credit agency is not open to a particular country and/or bank. Third, The Bolero System is jointly financed by SWIFT(Society for World International Financial Telecommunications) which handles most of the electronic funds transfer for banks, and the Through Transport Mutual Assurance Association(the TT Club), a mutual insurance association most of whose members are drawn from the Multimodal transport industry or transport intermediaries. Fourth, TradeCard is a payment and settlement system that is an alternative to letters of crdeit. That is, TradeCard is a business-to-business e-commerce infrastructure that enables buyers and sellers to conduct and settle international trade transactions securely over the Internet.
At the time the local credit-card companies plunged into a liquidity crisis in 2002, S-Card was urged to take into account the estimated customer income (ECI) to enhance its customer credit evaluation function for the first time in Korean financial industry. Before this new attempt by S-Card, most credit-card companies including S-Card had performed a customer's credit evaluation based on the customer's behavioral factors such as the amount of purchase on credit, debt payment, and financial history that is provided from the Credit Bureau. However, this approach failed to measure customer's potential value which is one of the major factors in judging the customer's ability to pay, and hence, led to difficulties in risk management. The purpose of this case study is to present the better approach to sophisticated risk management for financial firms in Korea by reviewing S-Card's process of customer income estimation and its application to risk management.
The damage to the security is increasing as public key-based ISP secure payment service is used in online banking payment system. Security technology aspect to ISP secure payment security has no special problems. But, security damage that occurs due to the simplicity of the payment system is a problem. In this paper, we propose response and plan for ISP secure payment service to minimize the damage that occurs due to the simplicity of a security settlement system. Proposed scheme is applicable to various billing systems such as secure payments, online payment, mobile payment, credit card. Proposed scheme is characterized in that can stably support the capabilities of the new billing system. Also, proposed scheme is to analyze the various security threats arising from the payment of the financial services and to describe response and plan technology.
TradeCard is a B2B (business-to-business) e-commerce infrastructure that enables buyers and sellers to conduct and settle international trade transactions securely over the Internet. and objective of TradeCard is to provide a secure, reliable, cost-effective and user-friendly solution for conducting and settling international trade transactions. This paper analyzes the reviews of TradeCard by Electronic Message and the various problems which come to application of TradeCard, with particular attention to existing international frameworks for payment systems based on Documentary Credit.
