  • The global recession has made it more difficult for companies to invest in IT, and they are increasingly aware of the environmental costs of so doing. In these circumstances, cloud computing has emerged as a new paradigm in the business IT sector. Governments, institutes and companies around the world, as well as specifically in Korea since 2009, have turned to this model of providing IT resources. This study is concerned to identify those characteristics of cloud computing that affect its introduction on a company's part; it offers a theoretical framework describing cloud services and seeks to establish causal linkages between antecedent factors and a company's introduction and application of this form of IT provision. The features of cloud computing in particular contexts that the study selected for analysis were its scalability, speed, security, potential compatibility with existing services, efficiency, economic feasibility, dependency and credibility. The study thus related these to whether or not cloud computing was adopted, verifying adjustment effects for cloud services. On the basis of a survey of enterprise IT decision-makers, it emerged through a statistical analysis of correlations that cloud computing's efficiency, economic feasibility and credibility had an effect on its introduction. This study's results should be of use to vendors and potential purchasers of cloud computing services. It is one of the first pieces of research on cloud computing from the customer perspective, based on the perceived characteristics of cloud services as they are seen and valued by users.

  • This study aims to investigate and practically examine the effect of environmental qualifications based on the theoretical background on the area. On the basis of theoretical background, a study model was formulated in a way that the effect of qualifications in enterprises side is divided into an economic effect (improvement of productivity, improvement of qualifies of products) and non-economic effect (credibility on the job, expertise on techniques, assessment criteria on entrepreneurial value, applicability of job arrangement). Then, survey was carried out with questions designed in accordance with this model. The hypotheses were proved as the following. First, fir hypothesis 1(Environmental qualifications will bring up positive impacts on the economic effect of enterprises), it turned out to be true. The improvement of productivity and qualities of products were chose to represent the economic effect of entrepreneurs, and the both factors appeared to have positive impacts on the economic effect of enterprises. Second, for hypothesis 2(Environmental qualifications will have positive impacts on the non-economic effect of enterprises), it turned out to be true. Environmental qualifications were proved to have positive impacts on credibility on the job, expertise on techniques, assessment criteria on entrepreneurial value, applicability of job arrangement, which were introduced to represent the non-economic effect of enterprises. In conclusion, environmental qualifications were proved to have positive impacts on both economic and non-economic effect of enterprises.

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the influence of credibility of health information (CHI) source and e health literacy (eHL) on health information orientation (HIO) of parents of hospitalized children. Convenience sampling method of 109 parent whose children were admitted in a children's hospital in D city was used. The hierarchial regression model with general characteristics and characteristics of children for step 1 and eHL and CHI for step 2 against HIO was statistically significant (F=8.22, p<.001). And this model could explain 40% of HIO ($R^2$=.40). Especially, eHL (${\beta}$=.54, p<.001) and CHI (${\beta}$=.21, p=.008), subjective health perception (${\beta}$=.19, p=.016), and age (${\beta}$=-0.15, p=.048) were identified the influencing factors on HIO. Based on these findings, to foster the HIO of parents of inpatient children, credible health information should be given to these population and a approach with eHL enhancement should be considered. And further research that is to explore the way to enhance the eHL should be carried out to suggest the practical application

  • This study aims at developing and empirically testing a comprehensive model of organizational justice derived from the prior empirical studies on organizational justice. The study seeks to understand the antecedents to and the consequences are addressed. The first question is what characteristics of the HRM systems determine the levels of perceived distributive and procedural justice. Hypotheses are derived from the two prominent theoretical models, i.e., the self-interests model (SIM) and the group value model (GVM). Those factors include neutrality, consistency, accuracy. ethicality. credibility. and reciprocity in the processes of making HRM decisions. All nine factors suggested by the two models aye adopted for this study as major determinants of both distributive and procedural justice. The second question of this study is related to the moderating effects of individual differences on the relationship between the SIM and GVM variables and perceived distributive and procedural justice in organizational contexts. The final research question deals with the consequences of perceived organizational justice. specifically job - related altitudes and organizational commitment. Job-related attitudes in this study refer to job satisfaction, job motivation, and job involvement, i.e., the willingness to make contributions. identification with organization, and intent to stay. In examining the consequences of perceived organizational justice, the study focuses on the interaction effects of procedural and distributive justice on the above nine outcome variables. The results show that both SIM and GVM variables significantly influence distributive and procedural justice. However, hierarchical regression analyses reveal that the GVM variables except more influence has been focused on the consequences of perceived distributive justice with regard to outcomes provided by the organization.

  • Modeling and simulation of mechanical response of infrastructure object, solids and structures, relies on the use of computational models to foretell the state of a physical system under conditions for which such computational model has not been validated. Verification and Validation (V&V) procedures are the primary means of assessing accuracy, building confidence and credibility in modeling and computational simulations of behavior of those infrastructure objects. Validation is the process of determining a degree to which a model is an accurate representation of the real world from the perspective of the intended uses of the model. It is mainly a physics issue and provides evidence that the correct model is solved (Oberkampf et al. 2002). Our primary interest is in modeling and simulating behavior of porous particulate media that is fully saturated with pore fluid, including cyclic mobility and liquefaction. Fully saturated soils undergoing dynamic shaking fall in this category. Verification modeling and simulation of fully saturated porous soils is addressed in more detail by (Tasiopoulou et al. 2014), and in this paper we address validation. A set of centrifuge experiments is used for this purpose. Discussion is provided assessing the effects of scaling laws on centrifuge experiments and their influence on the validation. Available validation test are reviewed in view of first and second order phenomena and their importance to validation. For example, dynamics behavior of the system, following the dynamic time, and dissipation of the pore fluid pressures, following diffusion time, are not happening in the same time scale and those discrepancies are discussed. Laboratory tests, performed on soil that is used in centrifuge experiments, were used to calibrate material models that are then used in a validation process. Number of physical and numerical examples are used for validation and to illustrate presented discussion. In particular, it is shown that for the most part, numerical prediction of behavior, using laboratory test data to calibrate soil material model, prior to centrifuge experiments, can be validated using scaled tests. There are, of course, discrepancies, sources of which are analyzed and discussed.

  • Wear prediction of TBM disc cutters is a very important issue during design as well as construction stages for hard rock TBMs as the cutter head intervention is directly related to the time and cost of tunneling. For that, some methods such as NTNU, CSM and Gehring models were used to predict disc cutter wear and intervention interval. There are however some problems to be addressed in these models in terms of accuracy and time for testing, so that a NAT (New Abrasion Tester) model has been developed in order to achieve simplicity and reliability together at the same time (Farrokh and Kim, 2018). On the basis, the proposed NAT model has been applied to ${\bigcirc}{\bigcirc}$ project in Korea. A comparative study was performed to compare with the conventional methods and as a result the NAT model showed a very good agreement with actual cutter life. The NAT model will be further applied to other projects to establish credibility.

First, building a social Security network has an effect on Community institution. That is, the more activated a, the higher awareness on institution. the more activated street CCTV facilities, anti-crime design, local government Security education, the higher the stability. Second, building a social Security network has an effect on trust of local government. That is, the activated local autonomous anti-crime activity, anti-crime design. local government's Security education, police public oder service, the more increased trust of policy, service management, busines performance. Third, Community unity has an effect on trust of local government. That is, the better Community institution is achieved, the higher trust of policy. Also the stabler Community institution, the higher trust of business performance. Fourth, building a social Security network has a direct or indirect effect on Community unity and local government trust. That is, social Security network has a direct effect on trust of local government, but it has a higher effect through Community unity of parameter. Such results showed that Community unity in Gwangju Region is an important factor, which means it is an important variable mediating building a social Security network and trust of local government. To win trust of local residents, we need to prepare for various cultural events and active communication space and build a social Security network for uniting them.
