  • 최근 열출력이 향상된 신규 원자력발전소의 개발이 증가하고 있으며 배관계에 가해지는 모멘트 및 하중의 크기도 증가하는 경향이므로 배관의 파단전누설(LBB) 적용조건 여유도가 작아질 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 배관에서 LBB 적용조건을 만족시키기 위한 추가적인 여유도 확보의 한 방법으로써 균열의 비선형과 재료물성치를 고려하는 방법을 제시하였다. 균열 및 재료의 비선형을 고려하기 위하여 유한요소해석과 보(beam) 이론을 병용하였다. 원자력 배관을 모델로 하여 본 논문에서 제안한 방법으로 LBB 균열안정성 해석을 수행하였으며, LBB 여유도가 낮은 위치에서 균열 및 재료 비선형을 고려함으로 써 추가적인 LBB 여유도를 확보할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

  • This study attempts to develop a rational approach to flexural concrete beam analysis with crack growth. In order to develope analytical solutions, several simplification and assumption are made and the Hillerborg fictitious crack model is adapted for new rational approach to the flexural concrete beam. To provide desired results, the concrete beams with various conditions(more than 126 beam conditions) are analyzed. Before producing the results, these assumptions are founded to be justified by comparison with a FE analysis. The results for each condition of the beams are presented in terms of crack lengths, the strength and cracking stability of concrete beams. And also size effects in a flexural concrete beam is studied using a new flexural cracking model.

조대조직을 갖는 비자성강의 피로균열진전거동 (A Behavior of Fatigue Crack Growth of Nonmagnetic Steel with Large Grain Size)

  • High manganese steel was maintained stability of Non-Magnetics performance. Fatigue tests were carried out under constant stress amplitude, using a non-magnetic high manganese steel. The fatigue crack growth mechanism of the high manganese steel was clarified from results such as observation of crack growth path and fracture surface. The result of getting this study was shown as following: 1) Remarkably ${\Delta}Kth$ of the high manganese steel is big with about 3 times of the general steel product. 2) In the low ${\Delta}K$ value region, da/dN is dependent on Kmax, and in the high ${\Delta}K$ value region, it is dependent on ${\Delta}Keff$. The reason of this behavior is crack closure due to fracture surface roughness and fretting oxide. 3) It seems to ease the stress concentration of crack tip crack growth behavior in the ${\Delta}Kth$ vicinity by the generation of the secondary crack.

도로포장 보수용 상온식 균열실링 재료의 개발 및 평가 (Development and Evaluation of Cold-applied Crack Sealant for Pavement Maintenance)

  • PURPOSES: The objectives of this study are to develop a new cold-applied crack sealant and to evaluate its properties and field applicability by comparing with other conventionally used crack sealants. METHODS : A new cold-applied crack sealant was developed by using neoprene latex to improve material properties. The fundamental properties such as viscosity, residue %, penetration, and softening point of the developed crack sealant were tested by TxDOT criteria to evaluate crack sealing capability. Moreover, the performance of the developed cold-applied crack sealant was evaluated under both laboratory and field conditions. In the laboratory, the bond property was evaluated using the developed cold-applied crack sealant and conventional hot-applied crack sealant by the bond-properties test standardized under ASTM D 6690. In the field, test sections were constructed on three areas: a trunk road, bus-only lane, and motorway, with the developed crack sealant and three conventional crack sealants. After construction, early field-inspection was performed on the test sections. RESULTS AND CONCLUSIONS : Overall, the developed cold-applied crack sealant demonstrates reasonable storage stability, durability, and bond property compared to conventional hot-applied crack sealants. From the test sections, it was established that the developed cold-applied crack sealant does not pose construction issues. Moreover, the early performance was verified through field inspection. However, as the field inspection was conducted a week after the construction, it is necessary to conduct an inspection of performance from a long-term point of view.

단조증가 및 반복하중 하에서 모사 암석 시료의 균열 성장에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on Crack Growth in Rock-like Material under Monotinic and Cyclic Loading)

  • 교통, 굴착, 발파 등에 의한 반복하중은 오랜 시간에 걸쳐서 암석의 미세균열 성장을 일으키며, 암석의 강도 등에 영향을 미치기 때문에 반복하중에 의한 균열의 성장, 결합은 장시간 안정성 평가에 중요한 영향을 미친다. 본 연구에서는 두 개의 초기 균열을 가지는 모사 암석 시험편에 단조증가 및 반복하중을 가하여 하중 조건에 따른 균열의 성장과 결합유형을 조사하였다. 단조증가하중, 반복하중 시험 모두에서 서로 유사한 날개균열 시작 위치, 날개균열 각도, 균열 성장 순서, 균열 결합 형태가 관측되었다. 본 연구에서 관찰된 균열 결합은 크게 3종류로 전단에 의한 결합, 1개의 날개 혹은 인장 균열에 의한 결합 그리고 2개의 날개 혹은 인장 균열에 의한 결합으로 요약될 수 있다. 피로균열은 반복하중 시험에서만 발생하였으며 성장 방향은 이차균열과 유사하게 초기균열과 같은 방향 혹은 하중방향과 직교인 수평방향으로 관찰되었다.

An Investigation about Dynamic Behavior of Three Point Bending Specimen

  • Computer simulations of the mechanical behavior of a three point bend specimen with a quarter notch under impact load are performed. The case with a load application point at the side is considered. An elastic-plastic von Mises material model is chosen. Three phases such as impact bouncing and bending phases are found to be identified during the period from the moment of impact to the estimated time for crack initiation. It is clearly shown that no plastic deformation near the crack tip is appeared at the impact phase. However it is confirmed that the plastic zone near the crack tip emerges in the second phase and the plastic hinge has been formed in the third phase. Gap opening displacement crack tip opening displacement and strain rate are compared with rate dependent material(visco-plastic material). The stability during various dynamic load can be seen by using the simulation of this study.

  • This paper describes an experimental study on the crack and fracture behavior of the FRC column. The test were carried out as Fiber contents in the Steel Fiber Reinforced Concrete and addition of Polypropylene Fiber in PFRC for evaluate the ability of ductility. In this study, the width and size of crack reduced remarkably and the progress of cracks were restrained by the steel fiber contents increasing, and in the case of PFRC the occurrence of initial crack reduced conspicuously. Accordingly, the addition of steel fiber in Reinforced Concrete Columns considerably prevent an unexpected buckle and rupture, secure durability and stability of columns.

  • The crack of concrete induced by the heat of hydration is a serious problem, particularly in massive concrete structures. In order to control the temperature crack of massive concrete, the selection of appropriate materials like low heat cement, mixture materials, etc. is essential. In tills study, mix proportion using low heat portland cement and lime stone powder was designed and the best mix proportion, B-1, was selected. When bottom slab of the #219 LNG tank in Incheon was constructed, concrete temperature was measured. And thermal stress was analyzed about bottom slab of the LNG tank. As results of the thermal analysis, crack index was 1.60 in bottom slab and satisfied with construction specifications(over 1.0).

Brittle fracture analysis of the offset-crack DCDC specimen

  • Applications of fracture mechanics in the strength analysis of ceramic materials have been lately studied by many researchers. Various test specimens have been proposed in order to investigate the fracture resistance of cracked bodies under mixed mode conditions. Double Cleavage Drilled Compression (DCDC) specimen, with a hole offset from the centerline is a configuration that is frequently used in subcritical crack growth studies of ceramics and glasses. This specimen exhibits a strong crack path stability that is due to the strongly negative T-stress term. In this paper the maximum tensile stress (MTS) criterion is employed for investigating theoretically the initiation of brittle fracture in the DCDC specimen under mixed mode conditions. It is shown that the T-stress has a significant influence on the predicted fracture load and the crack initiation angle. The theoretical results suggest that brittle fracture in the DCDC specimen is controlled by a combination of the singular stresses (characterized by KI and KII) and the non-singular stress term, T-stress.

압열인장시험을 이용한 화강암의 지연파괴특성 및 장기안정성 평가 (Estimation of the Characteristics of Delayed Failure and Long-term Strength of Granite by Brazilian Disc Test)

  • 본 연구에서는 임계하균열성장 변수를 구하기 위해 제안된 Wilkins의 시험법을 압열인장시험과 결합하여 화강암의 인장강도, Mode I 파괴인성과 임계하균열성장지수를 동시에 구하였으며 이를 사용하여 암석의 장기거동을 평가하였다. 또한 내부압력을 받는 압축공기저장(CAES) 공동에 대한 장기안정성을 수치해석코드인 FRACOD를 사용하여 해석하였다. 시험 결과 화강암의 임계하균열성장지수(n)는 29.39로 결정되었으며 5 ~ 6 MPa의 내압은 저장공동의 장기안정성에 큰 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 시험 과정에서 측정한 미소파괴음을 분석한 결과 암석내의 미소균열 생성 및 전파에 따른 암석의 손상을 정량적으로 기술할 수 있었다. 만약, 실내와 동일한 조건으로 현장에서 AE 모니터링을 수행할 경우 AE 모니터링을 통해서 하중을 받는 암석의 현재 상태를 정량적으로 평가하는 것이 가능할 것으로 판단된다.
