작업복 소재 직물의 액상 수분 전달 특성 및 표면특성 연구 (Liquid Moisture Management and Surface Properties of the Fabric in Transient Condition)

  • As important factors determining human sensorial comfort, liquid moisture management and surface properties of heat resistant workwear materials were examined. To figure out liquid moisture management properties of the test materials, absorption capacity, rate of absorption, and evaporation properties were assessed. A modified GATS(Gravimetric Absorbency Testing System) was used to measure the liquid moisture accumulation associated with the wicking of liquid moisture from sweating skin. The GATS procedure measures demand wettability of materials to take up liquid in a direction perpendicular to the fabric surface and it was modified to incorporate a special test cell and cover to assess absorption behavior in the presence of evaporation. Fabric stiffness, smoothness, number and the length of surface fibers, and an estimate of the contact area between the skin and fabric surface were measured to characterize the mechanical and surface properties of the test materials. Also an estimate of the force with which a fabric clings to moist skin was made using as wet-cling index.

디지털자료의 납본과 보존을 위한 각 국가의 노력 (Legal Deposit and Preservation of Digital Materials in Various Countries)

  • 법정 납본 제도는 국가문헌의 망라적 수집과 보존이라는 국가도서관의 기능을 수행하는데 필수적 도구이다. 최근 급증하는 디지털자료의 특성으로 인해 인쇄자료에 기반을 둔 납본법을 개정해야 할 필요가 생겼다. 우리나라를 비롯해서 여러 나라 납본제도의 디지털자료 관련 최근 동향을 조사하였다. 국립디지털도서관의 설립을 앞두고 디지털자료의 수집을 위한 법정 납본 제도의 확대 강화를 위해 필요한 전략을 제안하였다.

Fuel-Flexible Anode Architecture for Solid Oxide Fuel Cells

  • This paper provides an overview of the trends and future directions in the development of anode materials for solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) using hydrocarbons as fuel, with the aim of enabling a decentralized energy supply. Hydrocarbons (such as natural gas and biogas) offer promising alternatives to traditional energy sources, as their use in SOFCs can help meet the growing demands for energy. We cover several types of materials, including perovskite structures, high-entropy alloys, proton-conducting ceramic materials, anode on-cell catalyst reforming layers, and anode functional layers. In addition, we review the performance and long-term stability of cells based on these anode materials and assess their potential for commercial manufacturing processes. Finally, we present a model for enhancing the applicability of fuel cell-based power generation systems to assist in the realization of the H2 economy as the best practice for enabling distributed energy. Overall, this study highlights the potential of SOFCs to make significant progress toward a sustainable and efficient energy future.

Real operation of 2 kW class reverse-Brayton refrigeration system with using scroll compressor package

  • This paper describes the real operation of 2 kW class reverse-Brayton refrigeration system with neon as a working fluid. The refrigeration cycle is designed with operating pressure of 0.5 and 1.0 MPa at low and high pressure side, respectively. Compressor package consists of several helium scroll compressors witch are originally used for driving GM cryocooler. Three segments of plate heat exchanger are adopted to cover the wide temperature range and the refrigeration power is produced by turbo expander. The developed refrigeration system is successfully operated at its target temperature of 77 K. In experiments, all parameters such as pressure, temperature, mass flow rate and valve opening are measured to investigate characteristics during cool-down process and normal state. The difference between design and real operation is discussed with measured experimental data. At normal state of 77 K operation, the developed reverse-Brayton refrigeration system shows 1.83 kW at 68.2 K of cold-end temperature.

강구조물(鋼構造物)의 용접연결부(鎔接連結部)의 피로강도(疲勞强度)에 관한 연구(研究)(I) (A Study on the Fatigue Strength of the Welded Joints in Steel Structures(I))

  • 판항교(鈑桁橋)의 덮개 판(板), 수직보강재(垂直補强材) 및 연결판(連結板) 등의 용접연결부(鎔接連結部)를 포함하는 실물(實物)을 modeling 하여 직접(直接) 피로시험(疲勞試驗)을 행하지 않고서도 계산 program에 의해 S-N 선도(線圖)를 그리는 방안을 정립하여 서울의 수동대교(水東大橋), 제(第) 3 한강교(漢江橋) 및 춘천(春川)의 강촌교(江村橋) 등에 적용해 보았다. 이에 앞서, SS 41, SS 50, SWS 50, SWS 58 등의 구조강(構造鋼)으로서 소재(素材), 균열방향에 평행용정, 균열방향에 직각 용접의 compact tension 시험편을 제작 피로시험을 행하여 계산 program 중의 data로 쓰여질 재료상수(材料常數) c 및 m 값을 구하였다. 이 결과 다음과 같은 결과들을 얻었다. 덮개판(板)의 경우 다른 두 부분보다 피로강도(疲勞强度)가 매우 낮았다. 덮개판(板)의 경우 두께가 커지면 피로강도(疲勞强度)가 상당히 낮아지는 외에는 치수에 그다지 큰 영향을 받지 않으며, c 및 m 값에는 매우 민감한 영향을 받음을 알 수 있었다. c 값 및 m 값이 적어질수록 피로강도(疲勞强度)가 상당히 커지며, m 값이 적어지면 S-N 곡신의 경사가 매우 급해짐을 알 수 있었다. 이와 같은 연구가 계속되어 더 많은 data가 집적(集積)되면 앞으로 설계(設計)될 판항교(鈑桁橋)의 피로설계지침(疲勞設計指針)을 마련하고, 또 기존(旣存) 판항교(鈑桁橋)의 피로(疲勞)에 대한 내용년한(耐用年限)을 추정(推定)할 수 있는 기본(基本) pattern이 제공(提供)할 수 있으리라 사료된다.

토양유실 저감을 위한 지표피복재 적용 (Applications of Surface Cover Materials for Reduction of Soil Erosion)

  • The objective of this research was to experimentally test the effect of rice straw mats on the reduction of runoff, sediment and discharge under a laboratory scale with different rainfall intensity and slopes. We used the small runoff plots of $1m{\times}1m{\times}0.65m$ ($L{\times}W{\times}H$) in size were filled with loamy sand. Experimental treatments were bare (control), rice straw mats + PAM(SP), rice straw mats + PAM + sawdust(SPS) and rice straw mats + PAM + rice husks(SPR); slope of 10% or 20%; and rainfall intensity of 30 or 60 mm/hr. Runoff volume and coefficient from covered plots were significantly lower than those from control plots. Under the 30 mm/hr and 10% simulations, average runoff coefficient of covered plots decreased more than 92%. Under 60 mm/hr and 20% simulations, the ratios were between 39.8~58.1%. Under the condition of 30 mm/hr rainfall and 10% slope, sediment discharge from covered plots was practically zero. And at 20% plots, sediment reduction ratio was more than 95%. Under the condition of 60 mm/hr rainfall, sediment reduction ratio of 10 and 20% plots ranged between 86.3~95.3% and between 79.8~86.5%, respectively. The differences in initial runoff time, runoff and sediment discharge among different cover materials were not significant. Rainfall intensity showed higher impact on initial runoff time, runoff, and sediment discharge than slope. It was also shown that even if runoff reduction by surface cover were low, sediment discharge reduction could be very significant and contribute to improve the water quality of streams in sloping agricultural regions. It was concluded that the use of straw mat and PAM on sloping agricultural fields could reduce soil erosion and muddy runoff significantly and help improve the water quality and aquatic ecosystem in receiving waters.

고전적의 형태기술에 관한 연구 -국제표준서지기술법(ISBD)의 형식을 중심으로- (A Study on Physical Description of the Oriental Traditional Books : According to ISBD)

  • The external forms and contents of many library materials are very various. The physical description of the specific materials in the forms must be fitted to each forms. The oriental traditional books are very special in the printing forms. The machine readable cataloging of library materials is used internationally in these days. So, the cataloging of the oriental traditional materials must be reconsidered for computerizing of that. The physical descriptions of these materials will accord with ISBD to prepare for comuterzing of that. This study presented the recording forms of physical description that fitted to peculiarity of the oriental traditional materials and it refered to ISBD of non-book materials that are special in the forms. These recording forms of that are as the follows; The first part is the recording forms of description and number of the parts of items. The second part is the recording forms of the other physical details. This part contains the Illustration, Kwankwak, Keseon, Hengjasu, Heucku, Eormee. The Third part is the dimensions of items. The dimensions of the oriental traditional books consist of two kind. One is the dimensions of actual printing. The other is that of a book cover. The fourth part is the recording forms of the accompany materials.

이온강화 소다라임 유리의 열처리에 따른 강화 풀림현상 (Degradation of Ion-exchange Soda-lime Glasses Due to a Thermal Treatment)

  • Recently, the use of ion-exchange strengthened glass has increased sharply, as it is now used as the cover glass for smart phone devices. Therefore, many researchers are focusing on methods that can be used to strengthen ion-exchange glass. However, research on how the improved strength can be maintained under thermal environment of device manufacturing is still insufficient. We tested the degradation of the characteristics of ion-exchange soda-lime glass samples, including their surface compressive stress characteristics, the depth of the ion-exchange layer (DOL), flexural strength, hardness, and modulus of rupture (MOR) values. Degradation of the characteristics of the ion-exchange glass samples occurred when they were heat-treated at a temperature that exceeded $350^{\circ}C$.

수치모델과 고속 CCD 카메라를 이용한 세변기 표면 처리 효과 특성 해석 (Surface Treatment Effect on the Toilet by Numerical Modeling and High Speed CCD Camera)

  • Numerical analysis is done to investigate the effect of surface treatment of a toilet on the cleanness. The surface treatment using plasma for the super-hydrophobic surface expects the self-cleaning effect of the toilet seat cover for preventing the droplets with a great quantity of bacteria during the toilet flushing after evacuation. In this study, the fluid analysis in the toilet during the flushing was performed by an ultrahigh-speed CCD camera with 1,000 frame/sec and the numerical modeling. And the spattering phenomenon from the toilet surface during urine was analyzed quantitatively by CFD-ACE+ with a free surface model and a mixed model of two fluids. If the surface tension of the toilet surface is weak, many urine droplets after collision bounded in spite of considering the gravity. The turbulence generated by the change of angle and velocity of urine and the variation of the collision phenomenon from toilet surface were modeled numerically.

하수 슬러지 부산물을 이용한 다짐혼합재 및 토목합성수지점토라이너의 최종복토 차단층재로의 적용성에 관한 비교연구 (A Comparative Study on the Feasibility of Geosynthetics Clay Liner and Compacted Mixing Material Using By-products from Sewage Sludge to the Final Cover Materials in Landfills)

  • 현재 사용되고 있는 폐기물 매립지의 최종복토 차단층으로는 다짐점토층(Compacted Clay Liner; CCL)을 일반적으로 오랫동안 사용하고 있으나 압축성이 높은 폐기물 위에서는 시공이 어려우며, 고농도 유기물에 의한 붕괴를 유발하여 선진국 등에서 널리 사용되고 있는 부직포 등 토목합성물질 사이에 차수성이 뛰어난 벤토나이트를 삽입한 토목합성수지점토라이너(Geosynthetic Clay Liner; GCL)를 대체재로 많이 사용하고 있다. GCL은 설치 전, 후로 뚫림이 있을 수 있는 단점이 있어 CCL은 여전히 우리나라에서 널리 사용되고 있다. 하지만 CCL은 앞서 언급한 문제보다 국내의 기후 및 지형적인 여건으로 점토의 부족문제가 더 크게 작용하고 있어 그 대체물질의 개발이 시급히 요구되고 있다. 그 대체물질로 최근 슬러지가 주목을 받고 있는데 대부분의 슬러지는 매립지에 처분되거나 해양투기를 하고 있지만 2012년부터 런던협약에 따라 전면적으로 금지될 전망이기 때문에 슬러지의 친환경적인 처리 처분이 긴급히 요구되고 있는 실정이다. 이 문제를 해결하기 위한 혁신적인 방법의 하나로 열가수분해에 의한 처리기술을 들 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 부족한 양질의 점토를 대체하기 위해 하수슬러지를 열가수분해 처리하고 나온 부산물을 이용하여 첨가제를 혼합하여 최적배합비로 혼합한 다짐혼합재(Compacted Mixing Materials; CMM)를 차수능이 높은 GCL과 비교하여 CMM의 최종복토 차단층재로의 이용가능성을 평가하였다
