역삼투-압력지연삼투 조합공정 공정모사 및 비용예측 프로그램 개발 (Development of SWRO-PRO hybrid process simulation and cost estimation program)

  • The main objective of this paper is to develop computer simulation program for performance evaluation and cost estimation of a reverse osmosis (RO) and pressure-retarded osmosis (PRO) hybrid process to propose guidelines for its economic competitiveness use in the field. A solution-diffusion model modified with film theory and a simple cost model was applied to the simulation program. Using the simulation program, the effects of various factors, including the Operating conditions, membrane properties, and cost parameters on the RO and RO-PRO hybrid process performance and cost were examined. The simulation results showed that the RO-PRO hybrid process can be economically competitive with the RO process when electricity cost is more than 0.2 $/kWh, the PRO membrane cost is same as RO membrane cost, the power density is more than $8W/m^2$ and PRO recovery is same as 1/(1-RO recovery).

  • For reasons such as global warming, depletion of fossil fuels and the danger of nuclear energy the research and development of renewable energy is actively underway. Wind energy has advantages over another renewable energy in terms of location requirements, energy efficiency and reliability. Nowadays the research and development area is expanded to offshore because it can supply more wind reliability and free from noise pollution. In this study, the monopile offshore wind turbine transportation and installation (T&I) process are investigated. In addition, the schedule and cost for the process are estimated by discrete event simulation. For the simulation, simulation models for various means of T&I are developed. The optimum T&I execution plan with shortest duration and lowest cost can be found by using different mission start day and T&I means.

실적자료 분석에 의한 적정 공사비 산정방법의 전산화 알고리즘 구축에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Construction of Computerized Algorithm for Proper Construction Cost Estimation Method by Historical Data Analysis)

  • 본 연구는 공공건설 공사에 실적자료에 의한 공사비산정 방법의 전산화 적용을 목적으로 먼저 실적공사비의 정의 및 구조와 현행 실적공사비 운영체계 이해를 통해 전산화의 문제점 및 개선기준을 공사비 산정방법 중심으로 분석 기술하였으며 제안한 기준에 따라 전산화 알고리즘을 제시하였다. 기존 예정공사비 산정방법은 일반적인 공종별 분류에 따른 실적자료조건과 단순히 물가지수, 연면적규모에 따른 시공단가를 적용함으로서 공사비산정의 정확성이 요구되며, 본 연구는 이에 대한 개선 안으로 부위와 부분별 공종분류 방식에 의한 데이터 추출조건으로 실적자료의 적용성과 신뢰성을 높였다. 또한 물량규모에 의한 공사비 변동요인을 물량규모 대비 단가의 확률적 회귀분석으로 예측 추정하여 실행 가능한 적정 공사비 산정방법을 제시하였다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 전산화 적용 방안으로 확률적 예정공사비산정방법을 기준으로 시스템 프로세스를 각 영역별로 구축하고 그에 따른 윈도우 어플리케이션 활용 툴과 개별 전산화에 대한 알고리즘을 구축하였다.

도로분야 BIM 라이브러리를 활용한 실적공사비 산정모델 구축 (An Estimation Model of Historical Cost Using BIM Library for Road Project)

  • Currently, a BIM-based quantity takeoff (QTO) system is mainly focused on architectural projects. To perform this, diverse quantity takeoff methods such as an object-based automatic quantity takeoff, manual quantity and base functions of calculation have widely been utilizing. However, since BIM library for road projects includes structural elements associated with alignment, it is necessary to establish cost estimation system interlocked with historical cost using 3D library by each unit length. Accordingly, the aim of this study is to develop cost estimation model with using a historical cost approach so that it can be utilized in construction planning based on the BIM library for road projects. For this, based on the BIM library for road, the standardized quantity is estimated, and a process for calculating historical cost and a verification model with a 5D simulation was developed by mapping a WBS code with each BIM library object. This can be applied during the approximate cost estimation process in a project planning and an initial design phase for road projects. Besides, it is expected that these results will be utilized in constructing an optimal historical cost estimation process for project libraries.

화원 위치 추정을 위한 베이시안 추정 기반의 모델링 및 시뮬레이션 연구 (Study on Modeling and Simulation for Fire Localization Using Bayesian Estimation)

  • Fire localization is a key mission that must be preceded for an autonomous fire suppression system. Although studies using a variety of sensors for the localization are actively being conducted, the fire localization is still unfinished due to the high cost and low performance. This paper presents the modeling and simulation of the fire localization estimation using Bayesian estimation to determine the probabilistic location of the fire. To minimize the risk of fire accidents as well as the time and cost of preparing and executing live fire tests, a 40m × 40m-virtual space is created, where two ultraviolet sensors are simulated to rotate horizontally to collect ultraviolet signals. In addition, Bayesian estimation is executed to compute the probability of the fire location by considering both sensor errors and uncertainty under fire environments. For the validation of the proposed method, sixteen fires were simulated in different locations and evaluated by calculating the difference in distance between simulated and estimated fire locations. As a result, the proposed method demonstrates reliable outputs, showing that the error distribution tendency widens as the radial distance between the sensor and the fire increases.

IDRS 시스템에서 Curve Fitting이 적용된 NLS 비용함수를 이용한 방위/거리 추정 기법 (Bearing/Range Estimation Method using NLS Cost Function in IDRS System)

  • The IDRS provides detection, classification and bearing/range estimation by performing wavefront curvature analysis on an intercepted active transmission from target. Especially, a estimate of the target bearing/range that significantly affects the optimal operation of own submarine is required. Target bearing/range can be estimated by wavefront curvature ranging which use the difference of time arrival at sensors. But estimation ambiguity occur in bearing/range estimation due to a number of peaks caused by high center frequency and limited bandwidth of the intercepted active transmission and distortion caused by noise. As a result the bearing/range estimation performance is degraded. To estimate target bearing/range correctly, bearing/range estimation method that eliminate estimation ambiguity is required. In this paper, therefore, for wavefront curvature ranging, NLS cost function with curve fitting method is proposed, which provide robust bearing/range estimation performance by eliminating estimation ambiguity. Through simulation the performance of the proposed bearing/range estimation methods are verified.

  • A new active power filter (APF) circuit with a current compesation estimation method is proposed. The current compensation estimation method replaces a current sensor with an estimating circuit and therefore reduces the implementation cost In addition, a simple control scheme, based on the energy balance concept, is adopted to control the voltage of a DC capacitor. Therefore energy change in the DC capacitor can be compensanted in the next cycle. Since a sampling technique is used, a larger DC capacitor voltage ripple can be permissible and a relatively smaller DC capacitor can be used. The proposed method has advantages of the reduction of one current sensor, low implementation cost, and fast transient responses. The theoretical analysis and simulation results are given. The proposed control method is successfully verified by computer simulation.

Comparative Study on Similarity Measurement Methods in CBR Cost Estimation

  • In order to improve the reliability of cost estimation results using CBR, there has been a continuous issue on similarity measurement to accurately compute the distance among attributes and cases to retrieve the most similar singular or plural cases. However, these existing similarity measures have limitations in taking the covariance among attributes into consideration and reflecting the effects of covariance in computation of distances among attributes. To deal with this challenging issue, this research examines the weighted Mahalanobis distance based similarity measure applied to CBR cost estimation and carries out the comparative study on the existing distance measurement methods of CBR. To validate the suggest CBR cost model, leave-one-out cross validation (LOOCV) using two different sets of simulation data are carried out. Consequently, this research is expected to provide an analysis of covariance effects in similarity measurement and a basis for further research on the fundamentals of case retrieval.

통계적 구간 추정에 근거한 비용과 지연시간에 조화로운 유니캐스트 라우팅을 위한 새로운 인자 (New Factor for Balancing Cost and Delay Unicast Algorithm Based on Statistic Interval Estimation)

  • 고속 네트워크에서 QoS 라우팅은 수많은 사용자의 요구를 만족하기가 매우 어렵다. 네트워크의 경로설정 알고리즘에서 측도로써 단지 링크지연시간만을 고려한다면 그 경로는 최소지연시간 경로가 될 것이며, 링크비용만을 고려한다면 최소비용경로를 찾을 것이다. 지연시간 한계의 최소비용(Delay Constrained Least Cost; DCLC)문제는 NP-hard 문제로 알려져 있으며, 두 개의 인자 경로비용과 지연시간을 혼합한문제로 생각할 수 있다. 경로설정 시 최소지연시간을 생각하면 그 경로는 상대적으로 높은 비용의 경로이며, 반대로 최소비용만을 생각하면 그 경로는 상대적으로 높은 지연시간을 얻는다. 따라서 DCLC문제를 풀기위해서는 단 하나의 인자만을 고려해서는 안 되며 두 개의 인자를 동시에 고려할 수 있는 새로운 인자를 요구하게 되었다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 DCLC 문제를 풀기위해 경로비용과 지연시간을 동시에 확률적으로 고려한 새로운 인자를 소개한다. 시뮬레이션 결과는 새로운 인자가 DCLC 문제에 적절하다는 것을 보여주었다.

확률적 모의실험법을 이용한 석탄화력발전소의 건설사업비 추정 (Estimation of the Project Cost for a Coal-fired Power Plant using Stochastic Simulation)

  • 석탄화력발전소의 건설사업비를 국내 500 MW급 석탄화력발전소를 대상으로 확률적 모의실험 방법인 몬테카를로 시뮬레이션을 통해 추정하였다. 물가상승률을 적용한 실적 건설사업비에 확률적 모의실험 이론을 적용하였고, 전산 모사 소프트웨어를 통하여 건설사업비를 추정하였다. 확률적 모의실험을 통한 국내 500 MW급 석탄화력발전소의 총 건설사업비는 2011년 12월 불변가 기준, 신뢰수준 95%에서 인접발전소가 없는 경우 약 1조 8,700억 원에서 2조 3,300억 원이며 토목공사의 비중과 민감도가 높은 것으로 나타났고, 인접발전소가 있는 경우 약 1조 2,400억 원에서 1조 5,900억 원이며 기자재비의 비중과 민감도가 높으며, 건설사업비 추정시 물가상승률을 적용해야 적합한 결과가 도출되는 것으로 나타났다.
