  • When no extensometer is available in a generic tensile-compression test carried out by a universal testing machine (for instance the model BIONIX from Material Testing Systems (MTS)), the test results only provide the relative displacement between the machine grips. The test does not provide any information on the local behaviour of the material. This contribution presents the potential of an application of Digital Image Correlation (DIC) toward the reconstruction of the behaviour along the specimen. In particular, the authors test a Ni-Ti shape memory alloys (SMA) specimen with emphasis on the coupling of the two measurement techniques.

  • This paper suggests a marginal logit mixed-effects for analyzing repeated binary response data. Since binary repeated measures are obtained over time from each subject, observations will have a certain covariance structure among them. As a plausible covariance structure, 1st order auto-regressive correlation structure is assumed for analyzing data. Generalized estimating equations(GEE) method is used for estimating fixed effects in the model.

  • We consider a more general linear regression super-population model than the one of Chaudhuri and Stronger(1992) . We can find the same type of the best linear unbiased(BLU) predictor as that of Chaudhuri and Stenger and see that the optimal design is again a purposive one which prescribes choosing one of the samples of size n which has $\chi$ closest to $\bar{X}$.

  • This study is to application the TANK modle for Ponding depth and discharge, T-N, T-P simulation from paddy field area. Simulation coefficient of correlation for Ponding depth and discharge, T-N, T-P were 0.89, 0.60, 0.99, 0.91 respectively. advanced purposes are development of agriculture runoff character modeling and application of best management practice with this study model.

  • Probabilities of overfilling for model selection criteria are derived for several different situations. First, one candidate model with one extra variable is compared to the current model. This is expanded to m candidate models. We show that these comparisons are not independent and discuss ovefitting probabilities. Correlation between two F-tests is derived. Finally, probabilities are computed using the dependent F distributions and F distributions based on order statistics of independent Chi-squares.

  • Various modeling approaches to study a long term behavior of streamflow or groundwater storage have been conducted. In this study, a Multivariate AR (1) Model has been applied to generate monthly flows of the one key station which has historical flows using monthly flows of the three subordinate stations. The Model performance was examined using statistical comparisons between the historical and generated monthly series such as mean, variance, skewness. Also, the correlation coefficients (lag-zero, and lag-one) between the two monthly flows were compared. The results showed that the modeled generated flows were statistically similar to the historical flows.

  • The conversion of mechanical energy into electrical energy at nanoscale using piezoelectric nanowire arrays has been in detail shown by deflection of nanowires. Recently it has performed an analytical model, both at classical and at quantum level, for describing the most important quantities concerning transport phenomena; the model predicts interesting peculiarities, as high initial charge diffusion in nanodevices constituting by nanowires and permits also in particular to deduce interesting informations about the devices sensitivity, focusing on the correlation between sensitivity and high initial diffusivity of these materials at nanometric level.

  • An analytical model which can simulate the post-cracking behavior of reinforced concrete structures subjected to in-plane shear and normal stresses is presented. Based on the force equilibriums, compatibility conditions, and bond stress-slip relationship between steel and concrete, a criterion to simulate consider the tension-stiffening effect is proposed. The material behavior of concrete is described by an orthotropic constitutive model, and focused on the tension-compression region with tension-stiffening and compression softening effects defining equivalent uniaxial relations in the axes of orthotropy. Correlation studies between analytical results and available experimental data are conducted with the objective to establish the validity of the proposed model.

  • In this research, we propose a simple bivariate zero inflated negative binomial regression model with different dispersion for bivariate count data with excess zeros. An application to the demand for health services shows that the proposed model is better than existing models in terms of log-likelihood and AIC.

  • This paper presents the method of load management to measure the winter season's load characteristics of distribution pole transformers. The proposed load model constructed used by the quadratic load correlation coefficients. To verify the estimated model, we compared with linear model by calculation results. The results can contribute an improvement of conventional load management method.
