Performance Analysis of Upgrading Process with Amine-Based CO2 Capture Pilot Plant

  • This study applied upgrades to the processes of a 10 MW wet amine $CO_2$ capture pilot plant and conducted performance evaluation. The 10 MW $CO_2$ Capture Pilot Plant is a facility that applies 1/50 of the combustion flue gas produced from a 500 MW coal-fired power plant, and is capable of capturing up to 200 tons of $CO_2$. This study aimed to quantitatively measure efficiency improvements of post-combustion $CO_2$ capture facilities resulting from process upgrades to propose reliable data for the first time in Korea. The key components of the process upgrades involve absorber intercooling, lean/rich amine exchanger efficiency improvements, reboiler steam TVR (Thermal Vapor Recompression), and lean amine MVR (Mechanical Vapor Recompression). The components were sequentially applied to test the energy reduction effect of each component. In addition, the performance evaluation was conducted with the absorber $CO_2$ removal efficiency maintained at the performance evaluation standard value proposed by the IEA-GHG ($CO_2$ removal rate: 90%). The absorbent used in the study was the highly efficient KoSol-5 that was developed by KEPCO (Korea Electric Power Corporation). From the performance evaluation results, it was found that the steam consumption (regeneration energy) for the regeneration of the absorbent decreased by $0.38GJ/tonCO_2$ after applying the process upgrades: from $2.93GJ/ton\;CO_2$ to $2.55GJ/tonCO_2$. This study confirmed the excellent performance of the post-combustion wet $CO_2$ capture process developed by KEPCO Research Institute (KEPRI) within KEPCO, and the process upgrades validated in this study are expected to substantially reduce $CO_2$ capture costs when applied in demonstration $CO_2$ capture plants.

  • 본 연구에서는 현재 국내 도시철도운영기업 12개 기업을 중심으로 통합적 인적자원관리 유형에 따른 노사협력, 그리고 기업성과의 차이를 조사하고 노사협력이 기업성과에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 검증하였다. 분석결과, 폐쇄적 몰입형과 개방적 탄력형이 보수적 관리형이나 빈약한 관리형에 비해 노사협력과 기업성과가 높게 나타났다. 또한, 노사협력이 기업성과에 미치는 영향에 대한 분석 결과, 노사협력 요인 가운데 근로자 개별적 노사협력 변인은 운행안정성, 고객만족, 운영혁신, 자립경영, 직무만족 등 모든 기업성과 변인에 유의한 정(+)적 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었으나, 집단적 노사협력 변인은 기업성과 변인 가운데 운영혁신, 직무만족 요인에만 유의한 정(+)적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

High Performance of Crystallization for LPTS TFTs Using Solid Green Laser

  • We developed the laser annealing system using green laser of 261W(5kHz) and 75.5mJ/pulse(2kHz). We confirmed that this system makes it possible to form two kinds(large or uniformed grain) of poly-Si by changing its polarized directions. By using ${\mu}-crystal-Si$ as irradiated films, grain size uniformity is better than that using a-Si.

  • This paper describes the test results of plant minimum stable load (Pmin) for Ilijan Power Plant. The test was conducted on May 13 through 14, 2015 to investigate the plant operating and equipment condition in accordance with "Ilijan Plant Performance Test Procedure on Plant Minimum Stable Load" [1]. This paper also contains the assessment of the impact of Pmin to plant operating parameters and possible technical operating issues when operating at lower loads and to recommend the safe minimum load operation of Ilijan per block. In addition, this paper describes the performance calculation results of efficiency and heat rate depending on the load level.

  • Water lubricated guide bearing was newly released and has been applied to actual hydro turbines with vertical shaft. As a result, they can have not only high bearing performance but environmental advantages in meeting the demand for reducing river pollution by oil leakage from oil lubricated guide bearing. The PTFE composite guide bearing was tested by experimental equipment operated under conditions similar to those of actual hydro turbines. Circumferential and axial tilting bearing segments help to improve the bearing performance and efficiency due to low friction loss in the bearing system. Furthermore, bearing cooling systems could be eliminated and maintenance periods could be extended, thus the initial investment and operating costs of the hydroelectric power plant are reduced.

  • As ESS safety issues increase recently, there is a need to more precisely monitor the temperature of the ESS. In this paper, DTS technology for temperature monitoring of ESS batteries is introduced and the temperature measurement principle is explained. The temperature of the battery module is measured using the DTS system, and the thermal deviation between battery cells inside the battery module is analyzed. In order to analyze how thermal imbalance affects the charging and discharging performance of the battery, an accelerated degradation test was conducted. Cycle life characteristics analysis, battery surface temperature change, and AC impedance characteristics were conducted to analyze how the performance of battery cells differs according to temperature conditions.

민간경비업체 조직구성원의 조직 환경, 조직 문화가 조직 성과에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of the Organizational Environment and Culture of the Employees in Private Security Corporation on the Organizational Performance)

  • 본 연구는 민간경비업체 조직구성원들의 조직환경, 조직문화가 조직성과에 미치는 영향을 규명하기 위하여 연구대상은 2011년 전라남 북도 경찰청에 등록된 민간경비업체에 재직하고 있는 조직구성원 중 민간경비원을 대상으로 판단표집법을 이용하여 총 200부의 표본을 추출하였다. 그 중 불성실한 응답 설문지 22부를 제외한 188부를 최종분석에 사용하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 15.0 프로그램을 이용하여 빈도분석, 탐색적 요인분석, 신뢰도분석 및 상관관계분석, 경로분석을 하였다. 연구결과를 보면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 민간경비업체 조직구성원의 조직환경이 조직문화간에 상관관계가 있는 걸로 나타났다. 둘째, 민간경비업체 조직구성원의 조직환경은 조직문화 및 조직성과에 인과적 영향을 미치는 결과를 보였다. 즉, 조직환경은 조직성과에 직접적으로 영향을 미치지만, 조직문화를 통해서 간접적인 영향을 미치는 결과를 보였다.

우리나라 작업환경측정기관 분석능력에 관한 고찰 (A Study on the Evaluation of Analytical Performance for Industrial Hygiene Laboratory in Korea)

  • Quality Control programs for industrial hygiene laboratory have successfully been operated since the 1st round was initiated in April 1992. Three rounds have been completed. Overall analytical performance of participants was improved through a subsquent round. The first round had a large variation among analytical results of all participants, 26.34%~504.22% of coefficient of variation. But the variation of analytical performance in the 2nd and 3rd rounds decreased to 40.42%~52.55% and 10.74%~20.98%, respectively. The difference of analytical performance among participants was decreased by operation of subsquent round. By distribution of Running Performance Index (RPI), over 50% of participants belongs to Category 3 in the first round. The average percentage of participants assigned to Category 3 in the 2nd and 3rd round was decreased to 37.2%. A definite analytical performance improvement of participants seems to be obtained. "A" and "B" group have more participants assigned to Category 3 than those of "C" group through the distribution of RPI by group divided to similar participant. By the distribution of RPI all participants, the percent of participant being over 200 RPI in the 1st round was 43%~52%, but decreased to 9%~29% and 9%~27%, in the 2nd and 3rd round, respectively. These results mentioned above indicate that the analytical performance of all participants have been improved by subsquent Quality Control Program although newcomers joined and a few participants droped out. But, there are some participants with poor analytical performance. Industrial Health Research Institute (IHRI) will offer service such as education, communication and visitation to them, and improve quality of their analytical performance in the future.

폴리머-계면활성제 콤플렉스의 물성 조절을 통한 샴푸 사용감 최적화 (Optimization of Conditioning Performance by Controlling Properties of Polymer-Surfactant Complex in Shampoo System)

  • 본 연구에서는 샴푸에 널리 사용되는 양이온성 폴리머 중, 양이온성 구아 폴리머를 선택적으로 사용하여, 다양한 성능평가를 통해 0.7 % 질소함량 이상의 치환도와 190~200 cps사이의 점도를 가지는 새로운 양이온성 구아 폴리머를 개발하였다. 성능평가로는 헹굼 시 모발 부드러움(Wet combing ability), 폴리머의 잔존정도와 실리콘의 흡착정도를 측정하였으며 최종적으로 관능평가를 실시하였다. 본 연구에서 개발된 양이온성 구아 폴리머를 배합하면 샴푸 사용감을 최적화할 수 있을 것이다.
