Dual Core 시스템에서 Shared Memory 기능 구현 (Implementation of the Shared Memory in the Dual Core System)

  • Linux에서 사용되는 Shared Memory는 동일한 메모리 영역에 여러 개의 프로세스가 접근할 수 있도록 해 주는 기술이다. 본 논문은 Linux 운영체제에서 지원해 주는 System V의 IPC 중 하나인 Shared Memory를 Dual Core 시스템 상에서 동작하도록 구현한다. 본 논문에서는 커널 단계에서 처리되는 SVR(System V Release) 형식의 Shared Memory를 다룬다. 기존의 공유메모리 방식은 단일 처리기를 이용한 방식이다. 본 논문에서는 dual core를 이용하여 공유메모리 처리를 할 수 있는 시스템을 제안한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 Dual Core 시스템에서 공유 메모리 기능 구현은 기존의 단일 처리기 시스템에서보다 성능을 향상시킬 수 있도록 한다. 공유 메모리를 이용한 프로세스의 동작이 별개의 CPU에서 동작되도록 함으로써 성능 향상을 꾀한다.

  • 본 논문은 대부분의 Linux 운영체제에서 지원해 주는 System V의 IPC 중 하나인 Shared Memory를 Dual Core 시스템 상에서 동작하도록 설계한다. Linux에서 사용되는 Shared Memory는 동일한 메모리 영역에 여러 개의 프로세스가 접근할 수 있도록 해 주는 기술이 다. 본 논문에서는 Shared Memory의 큰 두 갈래 중 커널 단계에서 처리되는 SVR(System V Release) 형식의 Shared Memory를 다룬다. 본 논문에서는 리눅스 운영체제의 공유 메모리 기능을 Dual Core 시스템에서 동작하도록 설계한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 Dual Core 시스템에서 공유 메모리 기능 설계 방안은 듀얼 코어를 활용하여 기존의 단일 처리기 시스템에서보다 성능을 향상시킬 수 있도록 한다. 공유 메모리를 이용한 프로세스의 동작이 별개의 CPU에서 동작되도록 함으로써 성능 향상을 꾀한다.

  • 강화도라는 핵심 관광 목적지를 선택하는 관광객의 유형을 실증조사를 통해 분석하여 인접지역인 김포서 북부지역의 개발방향을 제시하려는데 본 연구의 목적이 있었다. 이들 관광객을 흡수하기 위해 공간적 연계를 어떻게 만들어 가야 할지가 본 논문의 연구과제 이었다. 이런 면에서 수도권 시민의 관광욕구를 충족시키고 수용하기 위해서는 핵심관광 지역을 방문하는 관광객에 대한 구체적인 분석 자료를 근거로 핵심 관광지 및 인근 연계지역 관광자원 개발 전략을 구상함으로써 차별화된 경쟁력을 도모할 수 있다. 강화도와 김포 서북부지역을 대상으로 관광자원의 분포와 접근성, 관광객 행태에 대한 연구를 통하여 지리적 공간요소의 중요성을 재발견 할 수 있다. 각 지역별로 지역의 관광자원 특성에 관한 실증적인 연구가 증가하고 있으며, 특히 지역단위의 미시적 연구가 증대하고 있는 시점에서 본 연구는 핵심관광 목적지인 강화도의 관광객 유형을 분석하여 인근지역인 김포서북부지역의 관광자원을 연계 개발시켜나갈 방안을 모색하려 한다.

  • Although physical modeling synthesis is becoming more and more efficient in rich and natural high-quality sound synthesis, its high computational complexity limits its use in portable devices. This constraint motivated research of single-instruction multiple-data many-core architectures that support the tremendous amount of computations by exploiting massive parallelism inherent in physical modeling synthesis. Since no general consensus has been reached which grain sizes of many-core processors and memories provide the most efficient operation for sound synthesis, design space exploration is conducted for seven processing element (PE) configurations. To find an optimal PE configuration, each PE configuration is evaluated in terms of execution time, area and energy efficiencies. Experimental results show that all PE configurations are satisfied with the system requirements to be implemented in portable devices.

A Study on the Introduction of Zoning in Biosphere Reserves: Focusing on the Laws Related Protected Areas

  • Background and objective: A biosphere reserve is a complex concept that combines the preservation of biodiversity and the sustainable development with the region, outstanding ecosystems with worth conserving in worldwide. The purpose of this study is to suggest the way of zoning that can perform the functions of conservation, development, and logistics support of biosphere reserves. Methods: To meet the purpose of this study, the designation criteria, restrictions, and permissions of the protected area specified in the law for domestic protected areas were reviewed to classify the functions of a biosphere reserve. Results: Through this classification, 10 domestic protected areas with high ecological protection value, such as the natural beauty of the ecosystem, biodiversity, and habitats for wild animals and plants were derived as the core areas of the biosphere reserves. Also, a total of 21 protected zones that can function as a buffer to protect the core of the natural ecosystem from indiscriminate development such as resource protection, recovery, pollution prevention, and improvement were derived as appropriate sites for a buffer. In the review process, issues such as different behavioral restrictions and ranges of permission due to the application of different laws were identified, if two or more protected areas exist within one of the protected areas, there is a protected area that does not meet the criteria for designating use zone, or where behavior restrictions do not meet the zoning criteria of biosphere reserve, under the laws of domestic protected areas. Conclusion: Although this study was not able to carefully review most of the laws on domestic protected areas that are linked to other laws, it was able to categorize appropriate domestic protected areas that can act as the core and buffer zones of biosphere reserves.

강릉시 도시 경관 구조의 시계열적 변화 연구 (Structural Urban Landscape Changes over Time Series in Gangneung-Si)

  • This study analyzes structural landscape changes over a time-series for a small and medium-sized city, Gangneung-Si, based on area and distribution patterns, and according to the type of land cover. Among the types of land cover, the area ratio of urbanized areas increased by 2.02% in the late 2010s as compared to the late 1980s, while there was a decrease of 2.69% in farmland and 0.69% in grassland areas. On analyzing the changes in land cover use by applying the Fragstats program, it was confirmed that landscape changes in urban and management areas were relatively severe according to the Landscape Shape Index, Largest Patch Index, and Aggregation Index. A pattern of concentrated expansion was also found around certain areas. In particular, from the analysis, it was established that the proportion of urbanized area had considerably increased and that the extent of farmland damage to management areas, including planned management areas, was large. Additionally, the Total Core Area generally indicated a reduction in the core areas of farmland and forest within urban and management areas. A medium-sized city showed significant changes besides large cities in terms of landscape structure. The developmental pressure on management areas, in particular, was quite high.

캐나다의 도시권 획정 (Census Metropolitan Area/Census Agglomeration in Canada)

  • 본고는 캐나다의 도시권 획정을 고찰하였다. 구체적으로 캐나다 통계청(Statistics Canada)이 센서스 연도마다 정의하는 Census Metropolitan Area/census Agglomeration(CMA/CA)에 초점을 맞추었다. CMA/CA의 획정은 도시지역의 공간적 정의를 위한 밀도접근, 토지이용 접근, 기능지역 접근 중에서 기능지역 접근에 근거한다. 그러나 CMA/CA는 그 획정과정에서 밀도접근 및 토지이용접근을 토대로 캐나다 통계청이 정의하는 등질지역으로서의 도시지역(Urban Area, UA)을 활용한다는 특성을 갖는다. 실제로 인구 10,000명 이상의 UA는 CMA/CA의 중심부가 된다. 캐나다의 CMA/CA 고찰을 통해, 본고는 우리나라 도시권 획정에 고려할만한 주요사항을 제시하였다.

교외지역에 서식하는 Myotis aurascens의 주간휴식지 선택 및 행동권 크기 (Diurnal Roosts Selection and Home Range Size in the Myotis Aurascens (Chiroptera: Vespertilionidae) Inhabiting a Rural Area)

  • Between July and October 2011, radio-tracking was used to analyze the characteristics of home ranges and day roosts of Myotis aurascens by using 3 individuals (male: 2, female: 1). Bat capturing was conducted at a bridge and a nearby forest in Ulju-gun, Ulsan-si. We attached radio transmitters (0.32 g) to the bats and monitored them by using a radio receiver with a Yagi antenna. Home-range analysis of M. aurascens by using 100% minimum convex polygon (MCP) and 95% MCP showed an average of 106.5 ha and 89.3 ha, respectively, and 50% kernel home range (KHR) showed an average of 8.4 ha. Home range overlap of the 3 bats was observed at the bridge and at nearby water bodies as the core areas, and the size of the home range overlap was 7.3 ha by 100% MCP, 5.9 ha by 95% MCP, and 1.6 ha by 50% KHR. The home range for each bat consisted of the main foraging sites, and the types of foraging sites were similar. M. aurascens-01(M-01) used the bridge and nearby water bodies as the nightly main core areas, M. aurascens-02(M-02) used rice fields and water bodies adjacent to the forest as core areas, and M. aurascens-03(M-03) used water bodies and resident areas as core areas. Although rice fields and resident sites represented the core areas of the home ranges of M-02 and M-03, habitat use was the highest near water bodies as the core area for all the 3 bats. The types of day roosts in this study were a wooden house, canopies of a broad-leaved woodland, and banks of rice fields. The roosts in the wooden house and canopies of the broad-leaved woodland were located within the forest, and the roost in the banks of rice fields was also adjacent to the forest. Our results revealed that the main home range and foraging sites of M. aurascens were located near water bodies as the core area, and forests and places adjacent to the forests were used as day roosts.

  • Recently, composites have been widely applied in the sporting goods, automobile, aerospace industry. As the use of advanced composites increase, specific techniques have been developed to repair damaged composite structures. In order to repair the damaged part, it is required that the material in the damaged area be removed first by utilizing the proper method, and prepreg be laid up in the area and cured under vacuum using the vacuum bagging materials. In curing process, either in an oven or autoclave is to be delamination can be occurred in the sound areas during and/or after the exposure to the elevated curing temperature in case that the repair process is repeated. Therefore, this study was conducted to evaluate the degree of degradation of properties of the cured parts and how it affects to the delamination phenomenon between laminated skin and honeycomb core.

Fabrication of Ti Doped ZnO Nanostructures by Atomic Layer Deposition and Block Copolymer Templates

  • ZnO is one of the most attractive transparent conductive oxide (TCO) films because of low toxicity, a wide band gap material and relatively low cost. However, the electrical conductivity of un-doped ZnO is too high to use it as TCO films in practical application. To improve electrical properties of undoped ZnO, transition metal (TM) doped ZnO films such as Al doped ZnO or Ti doped ZnO have been extensively studied. Here, we prepared Ti doped ZnO thin films by atomic layer deposition (ALD) for the application of TCO films. ALD was used to prepare Ti-doped ZnO thin films due to its inherent merits such as large area uniformity, precise composition control in multicomponent thin films, and digital thickness controllability. Also, we demonstrated that ALD method can be utilized for fabricating highly ordered freestanding nanostructures of Ti-doped ZnO thin films by combining with BCP templates, which can potentially used in the photovoltaic applications.
