Transverse magnetic field annealing (TFA) was carried out on $Fe_{73.5}Cu_1Nb_3Si_{15.5}B_7$ nano-crystalline magnetic core with the aim at decreasing coercivity ($H_c$) while keeping high inductance ($L_s$). The magnetic field generated by direct current (DC) was applied on the magnetic core during different selected annealing stages and it was proved that the nanocrystalline magnetic core achieved lowest $H_c$ when applying transverse field during the whole annealing process (TFA1). Although the microstructure and crystallization degree of the nanocrystalline magnetic core exhibited no obvious difference after TFA1 compared to no field annealing, the TFA1 sample showed a more uniform nanostructure with a smaller mean square deviation of grain size distribution. $H_c$ of the nanocrystalline magnetic core annealed under TFA1 decreased along with the increasing magnetic field. As a result, the certain size nanocrystalline magnetic core with low $H_c$ of 0.6 A/m, low core loss (W at 20 kHz) of 1.6 W/kg under flux density of 0.2 T and high $L_s$ of $13.8{\mu}H$ were obtained after TFA1 with the DC intensity of 140 A. The combination of high $L_s$ with excellent magnetic properties promised this nanocrystalline alloy an outstanding economical application in high frequency transformers.
Accurately predicting the thermal hydraulic parameters of a transient reactor core under different working conditions is the first step toward reactor safety. Mass flow rate and temperature are important parameters of core thermal hydraulics, which have often been modeled as time series prediction problems. This study aims to achieve accurate and continuous prediction of core thermal hydraulic parameters under instantaneous conditions, as well as test the feasibility of a newly constructed gated recurrent unit (GRU) model based on the soft attention mechanism for core parameter predictions. Herein, the China Experimental Fast Reactor (CEFR) is used as the research object, and CEFR 1/2 core was taken as subject to carry out continuous predictive analysis of thermal parameters under transient conditions., while the subchannel analysis code named SUBCHANFLOW is used to generate the time series of core thermal-hydraulic parameters. The GRU model is used to predict the mass flow and temperature time series of the core. The results show that compared to the adaptive radial basis function neural network, the GRU network model produces better prediction results. The average relative error for temperature is less than 0.5 % when the step size is 3, and the prediction effect is better within 15 s. The average relative error of mass flow rate is less than 5 % when the step size is 10, and the prediction effect is better in the subsequent 12 s. The GRU model not only shows a higher prediction accuracy, but also captures the trends of the dynamic time series, which is useful for maintaining reactor safety and preventing nuclear power plant accidents. Furthermore, it can provide long-term continuous predictions under transient reactor conditions, which is useful for engineering applications and improving reactor safety.
Poly(ethylene-co-vinylacetate) (EVA) microspheres were prepared by a thermally induced phase separation. Poly(vinyl Alcohol) (EVAL) microsphere with Core-Shell Structure were synthesized by a saponification on sheath of EVA microspheres. The size of EVA core/EVAL shell microsphere was decreased from $4.09\mu{m}\;to\;2.55\mu{m}$ by partial saponification of $NaOH/Na_2SO_4$/methanol(2 : 1 : 1 by weight) at $60^\circ{C}$ for 4h to produce a saponified surface layer of about 60% of original radius. In this process, the surface layer of EVAL microsphere was dissolved partially and morphology of surface was not showed. Add-on of cotton and silk printed with EVA core/EVAL shell microsphere was increased and that of printed PET was decreased. In case of EVA core/EVAL shell microsphere, Hand of cotton and silk printed was flexible and fullness.

In this paper, research on the manufacturing technology of hexagonal structure core is investigated. Also the optimal forming process of the honeycomb core is developed and the rolling process is analyzed using finite element code, $DEFORM^{TM}$-3D. The standard honeycomb has a uniform hexagonal structure defined by the material, cell size, cell wall thickness and bulk density. Honeycomb core products can be made from any thin, flat material. The most common cell configuration is the hexagon but there are many other shapes for special applications. Because of the precision shape and the thin thickness, the honeycomb core is not easy to manufacture in the metal forming process. Through this study it was confirmed that after the rolling process, the section of honeycomb close to the standard shape can be obtained. This result is reflected to the manufacturing process design for the honeycomb core.

The core-shell latex particles were prepared by sequential emulsion polymerization of alkyl methacrylate and styrene(ST) by using an water-soluble initiator(APS) after preparing monomer pre-emulsion in the presence of an anionic surfactant(SDBS). In organic/organic core-shell polymerization, the pre-emulsion method, which minimized required quantity of sulfactant, has been used to increase the conversion rate and the stability of core-shell latex particles as well as to reduce the formation of secondary particle that cause problems of soap-free emulsion during shell polymerization. We used several methods to observe the core-shell structure. The core-shell structure was studied by measuring pH change during hydrolysis by NaOH, glass transition temperature($T_g$) by differential scanning calorimeter(DSC), morphology of latex by transmission electron microscope(TEM) and change of particle size and distribution by a particle analyzer.
The main purpose of this study is to analyze the determinants of innovation in the medium core firms that belong to components and materials industry. For this purpose, we introduce the Schumpeterian hypothesis as a theoretical background at first. According to the Schumpeterian hypothesis, large firms in concentrated markets are likely to have more innovative activities. That means, firm site and market structure are the main determinant of innovation. Then, we propose other economic factors that have been considered to have effects on firms' innovative activities in previous studies. Those factors are export, profit, growth rate, R&D expenditure and capital intensity. In order to analyze the determinants of innovation, we estimate whether firm size, market structure, export, profit, growth rate, R&D expenditure and capital intensity affect to the possibility of creating innovation in medium core firms. In order to do this, our study uses survey data from 'Korean Innovation Survey(2005)' conducted by STEPI as well as utilizes the probit model as an analytical method. According to the empirical results, firm size has a positive relationship with innovative activities of medium core firms but market concentration does not. We find the negative correlation between market concentration and innovative activities in this study. Thus, was have to say that we do not fully support the Schumpeterian hypothesis in this case. Among other variables, profit and R&D expenditure are estimated to have positive relationship with innovative activities, while export and capital intensity are estimated to have negative relationship with innovative activities. In case of growth rate, we do not find any significant relationship with innovative activities. In conclusion, larger firm size, higher market competition, more access to the financial market and additional R&D investment would facilitate innovative activities of medium core firms. However, we have to review the relationship between export and innovative activities that has been estimated in this study. While the estimated effect of export on innovative activities can be explained by the own characteristics of medium core firms that produce and supply capital goods to final manufacturer, we have address this issue in the future.

The purpose of this study is to quantitatively and visually analyze the degree of green biotope fragmentation caused by road construction and other development work using FRAGSTATS and GUIDOS tool. Moreover, linking of the endangered species research, we mapped "Biotope Fragmentation Map" of Daejeon-city. The findings of the study are summarized as follows: First, as the result of FRAGSTATS, landscape indices : number of patch(NP), mean patch size (MPS), edge length(TE), mean nearest neighbor distance(MNN), edge shape(LSI) showed meaningful change from fragmentation. Moreover, the result of GUIDOS analysis, middle core-small core-bridge-branch-edge-islet-perforation showed increase of area percentage without large core. Lastly, analysis result of 'Biotope Fragmentation Map' revealed that changing site of large core's size appeared eighteen-site and designated as the special protection area appeared forty-one site. As the result of the two data, overlapping areas that showed both change of core size and revealed special protection areas revealed four site. For example, five species of endangered species appeared on the NO. 4 site in 'Biotope Fragmentation Map'. The findings of this study as summarized above are considered to play an important role in basic data preventing green biotope fragmentation at the planned level from various development work.
In recent, various shapes of pattern in micron or nano scale are adapted in many applications due to their good mechanical or optical properties. Light guide panel (LGP) of the LCD is one of important applications for micro pattern and micro prism shape is one of the typical patterns. The size of the surface patterns in most applications is decreasing to the order of micron or even under micron. On the other hand, the area to be patterned keeps enlarging. These two trends in patterned products require tooling micro patterns on large surface, which has still many technical problems to be solved mainly due to pattern size and the tooling area. In this study, we fabricated prism shape of patterns using diamond cutting tool on some metal core and plastic core like PMMA. Some cutting conditions were investigated including cutting force, cutting depth and speed for different core materials.

One of the more promising proposals for guiding and focusing neutral atoms involves dark hollow laser beams. When the frequency of the laser is detuned to the blue of resonance, the dipole force the atoms feel in the light confines them to the dark core where the atoms can be transported with minimal interaction with the light. The ability of the all-light atom guides to transport large number of ultracold atoms for long distances without physical walls leads to the possibility of a versatile tool for atom lithography, atom interferometry, atomic spectroscopy as well as for transporting and manipulating Bose-Einstein condensates. Furthermore since the atoms transported in all-light atom guides do not come into contact with matter, they can in principle be used to transport antimatter as well. The ability to vary the core size of the hollow beam makes the all-light atom guide potentially useful for focusing neutral atoms. The atoms could be focused as tight as the core size of the hollow beam at its waist. This new focusing scheme, called the atom funnel, would not show spherical and chromatic aberrations that conventional harmonic focusing suffers from. (omitted)

An integrated magnetic (IM) transformer is proposed for a phase shifted full bridge (PSFB) converter with zero voltage switching (ZVS). In a proposed IM transformer, the transformer is located on the center leg of E-core and the output inductor is wound on two outer legs with air gap. The proposed IM transformer is analyzed by using the magnetic capacitor model. For reducing the core size, EE core is redesigned. The proposed IM transformer is experimentally verified on a 1.2 kW prototype converter. The converter efficiency with the proposed IM transformer is about 93 % at full load and its volume size can be reduced. It can be expected that the power density can be largely increased with the proposed IM transformer.
