Bogjeon chongtong, a military firearm from the Joseon Dynasty, remains undocumented with extant ones only discovered relatively recently. This study examined the structural and material characteristics of the bogjeon chongtong by comparing the specifications, shapes, inscriptions, and components of 12 pieces of bogjeon chongtong, which have not been described in detail to date. Bogjeon chongtong has certain set properties in terms of its specifications and shapes. This study also estimated the number of projectiles fired at once by comparing the specifications and records. In terms of design, the handle slot has an outline engraved in relief along with the name of the artifact. The inscribed outline is the most notable feature of the bogjeon chongtong that is not seen in other chongtong artifacts. Therefore, this study analyzed the inscription techniques used in the production process. The main ingredients of bogjeon chongtong are copper and tin, with a tin content of 6wt%. It was confirmed that this is highly similar to the average composition of bronze gunpowder weapons of the Joseon Dynasty as identified in prior research, and that it is also similar to the bronze gunmetal of medieval Europe. These conclusions were drawn in consideration of the material properties required for gunpowder weapons, which allows the inference that the materials used for firearms were selected by prioritizing functionality based on the alloy ratio.
In the 60's to 70's, frame selection was a purely mechanical consideration almost entirely dominated by the optician and his subjective judgments. Toddy the cosmetic factor is predominant. The variety of frame color, materials, and style means that the main burden of selection has passed to the customer, leaving the optician control a subtle factor often difficult to exert. Common materials include nickel silver, Hi-nickel alloy, bronze, stainless steel, gold, gold plated, gold clad, copper beryllium, titanium and sometimes aluminium. In manufacturing of metal frames with the materials, even though fashion is the stimulant of consumer demand, all the metal frame for the prescription to refractive correction should be designed correctly styled eyewear which is cosmetically pleasing, functional correct, physically comfortable, mechanically and structurally perfectible, and temperamentally acceptable.
This study interpreted the characteristics of the site and provenance of raw material by performing material characteristics analysis of the slags and tuyeres excavated from the Sinpung site in Wanju, Jeollabuk-do. The major chemical compositions suggested that the slags and tuyeres were created when Cu-Sn-Pb was alloyed. Metal microscope and scanning electron microscopy-energy dispersive spectrometer analyses revealed that the slags and tuyeres were by-products formed in the alloying process. This alloy, created by adding galena to copper and tin ingots, was an intermediary material used in making the finished products. According to the lead isotope ratio analysis result, slags could be made using galena of the southern Zone III region of Korea. Based on the decomposition of mica group minerals and the formation of mullite detected through X-ray diffraction analysis, it is possible to conclude that the tuyeres operated at approximately 1,000℃ as, the mullite was detected on the outside of the tuyeres.

Recent developments in nanocrystalline and nanocomposite rare earth-transition metal magnets are reviewed and emphasis is placed on research work at IFW Dresden. Principal synthesis methods include high energy ball milling, melt spinning, mold casting and hydrogen assisted methods such as reactive milling and hydrogenation-disproportionation-desorption-recombination. These techniques are applied to NdFeB-, PrFeB- and SmCo-type systems with the aim to produce high remanence magnets with high coercivity. Concepts of maximizing the energy density in nanostructured magnets by either inducing a texture via anisotropic HDDR or hot deformation or enhancing the remanence via magnetic exchange coupling are evaluated. With respect to high temperature applications melt spun $Sm(Co_{0.74}Fe_{0.1}Cu_{0.12}Zr_{0.04})_{7.5}$ ribbons were prepared, which showed coercivities of up to 0.53 T at 50$0^{\circ}C$. Partially amorphous $Nd_{60}Fe_xCo_{30-x}Al_{10}(0{\leq}x{\leq}30)$ alloys were prepared by copper mold casting. The effect of transition metal content on the glass-forming ability and the magnetic properties was investigated. The $Nd_{60}Co_{30}Al_{10}$ alloy exhibits an amorphous structure shown by the corresponding diffraction pattern. A small substitution of Co by 2.5 at.% Fe results In the formation of Fe-rich crystallites embedded in the Nd-rich amorphous matrix. The Fe-rich crystallites show hard magnetic behaviour at room temperature with a coercivity value of about 0.4 T, relatively low saturation magnetization and a Curie temperature of 500 K.

We have studied to obtain the SAW filter for the passband was formed on the Langasite substrate and was evaporated by Aluminum-Copper alloy and then we performed computer-simulated by simulator. We can fabricate that the block weighted type IDT as an input transducer of the filter and the withdrawal weighted type IDT as an output transducer of the filter from the results of our computer-simulation. Also, we have performed to obtain the properly design conditions about phase shift of the SAW filter for WCDMA. We have employed that the number of pairs of the input and output IDT are 50 pairs and the thickness and the width of reflector are 5000$\AA$ and 3.6$mu$m, respectively. Frequency response of the fabricated SAW filter has the property that the center frequency is about 190MHz and bandwidth at the 3dB is probably 8.2MHz. And we could obtain that return loss is less then 16dB, ripple characteristics is probably 4dB and triple transit echo is less then 18dB after when we have matched impedance.
Micro forming is an appropriate process to manufacture very small metal parts which can be employed in the field of electronic devices or electrically controlled mechanical systems. The purpose of the current study was to investigate the influences of both blankholding force and blank diameter for the deep drawing of very small cups. It is essential to control the blankholding force because improper force can result in defects such as wrinkles in the flange or cracks in the corner of the drawn cups. In the current study blankholding force was controlled by springs connected to the blankholder of a press die. Exchangeable bushing dies with various die-corner radii were also used. To obtain the limit drawing ratio for each working condition several sizes of circular specimens were prepared using blanking tools. Beryllium copper(C1720) alloy sheet of $50{\mu}m$ thickness was chosen for the experiments. The maximum limit drawing ratio of 2.1 was achieved experimentally for the conditions of the blankholder force(BHF)=5.3kgf and Rd=0.3mm. Both thickness and hardness along the central section of drawn cups were measured and compared for different drawing conditions. It was found that the deviation of measured data in the thickness and hardness distribution increases with increasing blankholder force and blank diameter.

Mechanical alloying (MA) by high energy ball mill of pure copper and niobium powders was carried out under the Ar gas atmosphere. The supersaturated solid solution can be produced in the range up to $Cu_xNb_{100-x}$(x=5-30) by MA for 120 hrs, as demonstrated by X-ray diffraction, DSC analysis and the electronic studies through a change in the superconducting transition in the low-temperature specific heat. The $Cu_{30}Nb_{70}$ samples ball-milled for 120 hrs exhibit only a broad exothermic heat release. The total energy, ${\Delta}H_t$ accumulated during MA far the mixture of $Cu_{30}Nb_{70}$ powders increased with milling time and approached the saturation value of 7.5 kJ/mol after 120 h of milling. It can be seen that the free energy difference between the supersaturated solid solution and the mixture of $Cu_{30}Nb_{70}$ powders is estimated to be 7 kJ/mol by Miedema et al. Hence it is thermodynamically possible to assume the formation of a supersaturated solid solution phase in this system.

In this paper, partial discharges(PDs), lift off and breakdown voltage were measured when metal particles existed in a model GIS coated with epoxy resin on its bottom electrode, and the measured results were analyzed after comparing with the model DIS not coated. In order to presume the various fault case in GIS, we measured the experimental values with changing some experimental factors, such as the mixture ratio of SF$\_$6//N$_2$, the pressure of the gases, the kinds and diameter of the metal particles, and the coating thickness of the epoxy resin. As a result, the PDIV increased with the thickness of the epoxy resin, while the magnitude of PDs decreased at the same condition. The lift off voltages of steel alloy particles were higher than that of copper particles, and increased wit diameter of particles. Futhermore, the lift off voltages in the case of the electrode coated with epoxy resin were higher than that in the case of the uncoated one. In addition, the thicker the thickness of the epoxy resin was, the higher the breakdown voltage were. Thus, it was confirmed that the GIS coated with epoxy resin on its inner surface could be improved in insulation performance.
Recently as the micro surface features become higher and diverse in their shapes, the releasing of the molded features becomes more crucial for manufacturing of the micro patterned products. The higher aspect ratio of the features or more complex shape of the features results in larger releasing force, elongation or cohesive failure of the features during the releasing. Another issue would be the uniformity of the released surface features after molding, especially for applications with large area surface. The micro patterned optical film, one of typical applications for micro surface features, consists of two layers, the thermoplastic base film and the micro formed UV resin layer. Therefore two interfaces are typically involved during the forming of this micro featured film; one is between the base film and the UV resin and another is between the resin and the pattern master. To improve the releasing of the molded surface features, the adhesive characteristic was investigated at these two interfaces. A PET film was used as a base film and two UV curable resins with different surface energy were prepared for different adhesiveness. Also the two different pattern masters were employed; one is made from brass-copper alloy and fabricated with PMMA. The adhesiveness at each interface was measured for some combinations of these base film, UV resins and the masters and the effect of this adhesiveness on the releasing was investigated.
