  • There exist the high frequency components, which can not be predicted by the low frequency model, due to the presence of sampling effect in current mode control. In this paper, the output voltage equations for the ZVS half bridge PWM convertor are derived from the steady state analysis, and the sampling gain presented in the current control loop is Investigated to improve the Prediction Performance of low frequency model of ZVS half bridge PWM converter.

  • From the viewpoint of an effective energy use, many method for reactive power compensation has been developed. Among of the reactive power compensation, this paper describes the relation of operation interpretation, filter, hysteresis width and switching time of current controlled PWM converter which has excellent reactive power compensation. This current controlled PWM convertor is excellent the view of reactive power compensation by current control method using hysteresis comparator method, but is required element of high response characteristics. Therefore this paper offers the series of data for system considering switching characteristics of switching element.

  • A relaying board is developed for the study of digital relay, which is based on Digital Signal Processor(DSP). The present development is capable of understanding and application for digital relay hardware. To support the design of relaying hardware, first A/D convertor MMI and serial port for communication are embedded, and next a booting cables of three types are supplied. More particularly the relaying board that is convinient to test digital relaying algorithm. This paper concludes by implementing the distance relaying algorithm into a relaying board, the hardware test results show practically high performance.

  • In this paper PLC Power Circuit with Hot-Swap Function is proposed for stable power supplies. The power modules of the proposed devices are implemented by CRM flyback converter using new synchronous rectifier circuit for high efficiency. By a variable switching frequency controller, this converter is operated with a reduced turn-on switching loss. Also, the load current in these power modules are shared by auto master / slave method using Outer loop. The proposed devices are analyzed in detail and optimized for high performance. Experimental results for a 100W power module at the variable switching frequency of 30$^{\sim}$70kHz were obtained to show the performance of the proposed device.

  • This paper describes an adaptive signal processing of digital receiver with DDC(Digital Down Convertor), DDC is implemented by using NCO(Numerically Controlled Oscillator), digital low pass filter. for the passband sampling, we present the results of digital receiver simulation with DDC. We confirm that the low IP signal is converted to zero IF by DDC. DOA(Direction Of Arrival) estimation technique using MUSIC(Multiple SIgnal Classification) algorithm with high resolution is presented. We Cow that an accurate resolution of DOA depends on the input sampling number.

Compact Metamaterial-Based Tunable Zeroth-Order Resonant Antenna with Chip Variable Capacitor

  • This letter presents a compact metamaterial-based tunable zeroth-order resonant antenna. It is based on the double-negative unit cell with a function of tunable inductance realized by a varactor and impedance convertor in the shunt branch. The resonant frequency of the designed antenna ranges from 2.31 to 3.08 GHz, depending on the capacitance of the used varactor. Its size is very compact ($0.05{\lambda}_0{\times}0.2{\lambda}_0$) with a relatively wide tunable range of 29.1%. The impedance bandwidth of the antenna is from 20 to 50 MHz for the resonant center frequency. The measured maximum total realized gain is from -0.68 dBi (2.43 GHz) to 1.69 dBi (2.97 GHz). The EM-simulated and measured results are in good agreement.

  • Characteristics of the high frequency and pulsatile flow investigated experimentally to understand the flow phenomena in the hydraulic system. In the study, I axis fatigue tester which are widely used for automobile filed are selected. 4 Pressure transducer, amplifier, A/D convertor are used to analyse and to obtain the pulsatle pressure waveform with high frequencies in hydraulic system. Matlab are used. to analyse the characteristics of frequency. Variation of pump input pressure and actuator acceleration frequency, pressure wave are measured with or without accumulators. For with accumulator, frequency amplitude of pressure are very lower than those of without accumulator due to absorbing function of accumulator. As the actuator acceleration frequency increased, effect of accumulator are very important to decrease the pulsatile pressure waveform with high frequencies.

  • Wired monitoring systems have been used for damage detection and dynamic analysis of large structures(bridges, dams, plants, etc.). However, the real-world applications still remain limited, mainly due to time and cost issues inherent to wired systems. In recent years, an increasing number of researchers have adopted WSN(wireless sensor network) technologies to the field of SHM(structural health monitoring). Accurate time synchronization is most critical for the wireless approach to be feasible for SHM purpose, along with sufficient wireless bandwidth and highly precise measuring resolution. To satisfy technical criteria stated above, a wireless vibration monitoring system that uses high-precision MEMS(micro-electro-mechanical system) sensors and A/D convertor is discussed in detail. It was found experimentally that the level of time synchronization fell within $200\;{\mu}sec$.

  • In this paper, we carried out fundamental experiments to use steel manufacturing slag as a concrete aggregate. Generally, there are two types of slag, the blast-furnace slag and the steel manufacturing slag. The latter is classified by the difference of manufacturing method of steel into the convertor slag and the electric-furnace slag. The steel manufacturing slag mainly contains $SiO_2$ and CaO as the chemical composition. The reaction with water and a little of free CaO in the steel manufacturing slag made the expansion of volume change, Therefore, we primarily investigated physical properties, expansion mechanism, pH value, aging effect and aging methods in the steel manufacturing slag, Then compressive strength of concrete with steel slag aggregate is measured.

  • To help the blind to find the information easily on World Wide Web, this research has tried to develop the device which enables us to convert HTML for the general into HTML for the blind. This program consists of the items as follows: 1. Web Robot to gather the internet browser and the general HTML. 2. Restoring DB by Parsing process 3. Multimedia editor for the use of web DB to add the literal and acoustic description to the editing function. 4. Convertor which gathers the DB and then changes into HTML for the blind. This project is designed to make it easy for the manager to establish the web site for the blind. We expect that this program will basically help the blind to overcome the inequality in the common information.
