  • This paper presents the new simulation model for the performance analysis of Surface-Mounted Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor(SMPMSM) Drive System which is integrated with a controller and a power converter. To enhance reusability and compatibility, the system model is expressed by the association of independent sub-modules reflecting the real physical construction. This concept allows another independent sub-module to be effectively inserted in the model for the comprehensive analysis of larger systems such as a Machine Tool and HEV. The developed model which is composed of MATLAB/Simulink's basic blocks can rapidly analyze not only the entire behavior of system, but also the functional relationship between each components for the effective development of controller.

  • 본 논문은 전동기에 유입되는 전력을 사용한 매트릭스 컨버터 드라이브의 센서리스 제어에 대한 새롭고 간단한 방법을 소개한다. 제안하는 제어 알고리즘은 유도 전동기에 흐르는 순시 유효전력과 무효전력을 제어하는 것을 기반으로 한다. 저속의 센서리스 성능을 향상시키기 위해, 정류 지연, 스위칭 소자의 동작횟수, 그리고 온-상태에서의 스위칭 소자의 전압강하 등이 PQ-전력변환과 기준전력 제어기법을 이용하여 설계한다. 제안하는 센서리스 제어 방법은 3kW 매트릭스 컨버터 시스템 기반의 유도전동기 구동장치에 적용하고 제안한 제어 전력의 실현 가능성을 보여준다.

  • Tilting train has been developed to increase the operational speed of the trains on conventional lines which have many curves. This train are tilted at curves to compensate for unbalanced carbody centrifugal acceleration to a greater extent than compensation produced by the track cant, so that passengers do not feel centrifugal acceleration and thus trains can run at higher speed at curves. This paper show that results of normal capacity calculations of the electrical equipments such as Main transformer, PWM converter, VVVF inverter, traction motor in TTX(tilting train express) with maximum operation speed 180km/h

  • 대용량 동기 발전 전동기 운전에는 주로 사이리스터를 이용한 정지형 주파수 변환장치(SFC : static Frequency Converter)시스템이 널리 사용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 기술적인 언급이 거의 되어있지 않은 회생제동 시스템의 개선된 제어 알고리즘을 제시하였다. 기술적 언급이 없기 때문에 실제 구동되고 있는 양수 발전소의 실측 파형을 분석하여 알고리즘을 도출하였으며 기존의 회생제동 제어에서 사용되었던 전압센서가 필요 없게 되어 경제적인 절감 효과를 유발하고 또한 제어요소의 간략화로 제어의 강인성을 확보하였다. 그리고 실험을 통하여 실효성 및 타당성을 검증하였다.

  • The application of the electric propulsion system to the vessels has recently become common due to the latest technology for controlling the electric motors with variable speed. However it has been found that harmonic distortion exists in the electric propulsion system, which consists of an electric motor, a converter and an inverter, and this harmonic distortion has a harmful effect on the system. In this paper, the definition of the harmonic distortion and problems caused by the harmonic distortion in the electric propulsion of the vessels are introduced and the practical solutions for the problems are investigated.

  • 본 논문에서는 대용량 전력 어플리케이션에 적합한 인터리브드 토템폴 브리지리스 부스트 PFC 컨버터의 전입력전압 범위, 전부하에서 소프트 스위칭을 달성하여 높은 효율을 얻는 새로운 PFC 컨버터를 제안한다. 기존의 회로는 하드 스위칭에 의해 큰 스위칭 손실을 가져 효율이 낮을 뿐만 아니라 소자에 부담을 주어 높은 성능의 방열 시스템을 필요로 한다. 제안하는 컨버터는 하나의 인덕터가 추가되었으며, 위상 천이 기법을 통해 적절한 크기의 전류를 생성하여 소프트 스위칭을 달성하면서도 추가적인 손실을 최소화 한다. 따라서 전 부하에 걸쳐 높은 효율을 얻을 수 있다.

  • A dynamic model of the Korean total artificial heart(TAH) which contains a brushless DC motor, all of mechanical components, the pump system with integrated variable volume space(WS) and the circulatory system model including the bronchial circulation were established Two different sets of seven differential equations were separately derived for the left and right systolic period of the Korean TAH operation. Throughout the computer simulation, a full-state fEedback optimal controller that minimizes the power consumption of the Korean TAH and drives the end stage velocity of the energy converter to zero was developed based upon the optimal control theory. Robustness of the controller were also analyzed with the dynamic model of the Korean TAH.

  • This paper describes an improved FES system to restore paralyzed extremities in spinal cord injury patients. For composing stimulus pattern which is suitable for each muscle, electrical stimulus pattern creating system is also developed by using IBM-PC. In the improved portable FES system using V40 microprocessor, muscle fatigue can be decreased by selecting the stimulus frequency which is proper to the response characteristics of each muscle. Driving softwares for the portable FES system and the stimulus pattern creating system are programmed with assembler and C language. A multichnnel portable FES system is designed to minimize the sire and weight using a D/A converter and 32 channel multiplexer.

  • In this paper, We studied LED(Light Emitted Diode) sensor lights system using PIR(Pyroelectric Infrared Ray) sensor, CdS and MCU(Micro Controller Unit). And applied the valley fill circuit to improve the power factor. We designed the amplifier for each sensor and the LED driver for constant current which is the buck converter. Also, we proposed the algorithm of LED control by each sensors using MCU. Experimental results showed that power factor is 92% with valley fill circuit.

  • The Bi-directional Wireless Capsule endoscope con sists of CMOS Image sensor, FPGA, LED, Battery, DC to DC Converter, Transmitter, Receiver and Antennas. The RF transmitter at 1.2GHz range is designed and fabricated with 10 mm(diameter)x1.6 mm(thickness) dimension considering the maximum permission exposure(MPE), system size, power consumption, linearity and modulation method. The fabricated RF receiver at 400MHz range can demodulate the external signals so as to control the behavior of CMOS image sensor. four LEDs and Transmitter.
