국내 광전기화학 수소생산의 경제성 평가 (Economic Evaluation of Domestic Photoelectrochemical Hydrogen Production)

  • This paper deals with an economic evaluation of domestic immersing type photoelectrochemical hydrogen production. We also make some sensitivity analysis of hydrogen production prices by changing the values of input factors such as the initial capital cost, the solar to hydrogen conversion efficiency, and the system duration time. The hydrogen production price of the immersing type photoelectrochemical system was estimated as 8,264,324 won/$kgH_2$. It is expected that the production cost by photoelectrochemical hydrogen production can be reduced to 26,961 won/$kgH_2$ if the solar to hydrogen conversion efficiency is increased to 14%, the system duration time is increased to 20,000 hours, and the initial capital cost is decreased to 10% of the current level. The photoelectrochemical hydrogen production is evaluated as uneconomical at this time, and we need to enhance the solar to hydrogen conversion efficiency and the system duration time as well as to reduce prices of the system facilities.

Electrocatalytic Activity of Sulfamic Acid Doped Polyaniline Nanofiber Counter Electrode for Dye Sensitized Solar Cell

  • Uniform polyaniline nanofibers (PANI NFs), and chemically doped sulfamic acid(SFA) PANI NFs, synthesized via template free interfacial polymerization process, were used as new counter electrodes materials for the fabrication of the highly-efficient dyesensitized solar cells (DSSCs). The PANI NFs based fabricated DSSCs exhibited a solarto-electricity conversion efficiency of ~ 4.02% while, the SFA doped PANI NFs based DSSC demonstrated ~ 27% improvement in the solar-to-electricity conversion efficiency. The obtained solar-to-electricity conversion efficiency for SFA doped PANI NFs based DSSC was 5.47% under 100mW/$cm^2$(AM1.5). The enhancement in the conversion efficiency was due to the incorporation of SFA into the PANI NFs which resulted to the higher electrocatalytic activity for the $I^{3-}/I^-$ redox reaction.

인터넷데이터센터의 교류, 직류급전시스템 비교 분석 (Comparative Study on AC and DC Feed System for Internet Data Center)

  • Internet Data Centers (IDC), as essential facilities for modern IT industry, typically have scores of MW of concentrated electric loads. Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) are necessary for the power feed system of IDCs because of stable power requirement. Thus, conventional AC power feed systems of IDCs have three cascaded power conversion stages such as (AC-DC), (DC-AC), and (AC-DC), which results in very low conversion efficiency. On the contrary, DC power feed systems need just a single power conversion stage (AC-DC) supplying AC mains power to DC server loads, which gives comparatively high conversion efficiency and reliability. This paper compares the efficiencies between 220V AC power feed system and 300V DC power feed system on equal load conditions which were established in Mok-Dong IDC of Korea Telecom company (KT). Experimental results show that the total operation efficiency of the 300V DC power feed system is around 15% higher than that of the 220V AC power feed system.

  • 고효율 color-matching LCD (liquid crystal display)에 적용하기 위하여, 445 nm의 청색 여기광을 사용하여 적색 및 녹색 형광체의 전환효율과 양자효율을 측정 분석하였다. 투명한 기판 및 표면이 반사처리된 기판에 각각 두께 50 ${\mu}m$의 적색, 녹색 형광체를 코팅하고, 적분구를 사용하여 형광의 세기를 측정하였다. 적색 형광체 및 녹색 형광체에 대해서 전환효율은 각각 41.4%과 46%였으며, 양자효율은 각각 60.4%와 53.5%였다. 제조사의 제원과의 차이점에 대해서 검토되었다.

  • Recently, The ministry of Environment in korea have introduced Euro-6d temp which was strengthened at the same time as Europe. Small Light-duty passenger vehicles need the SCR system of after-treatment to meet enhanced emission regulations. However, SCR system has a low conversion efficiency in a low temperature less than 200 degree. In this study, the NOx conversion efficiency of SCR system was analyzed by installing a NOx sensors and a temperature sensors in a diesel vehicle. Also, in order to analyze the effect of the cold-start, the test was performed on the same RDE route and compared with the test of hot-start. As a result, SCR system has characteristics of low conversion efficiency under cold-start conditions.

  • We have studied DC energy conversion of RF card by wireless communication. In order to attain an objective, it used the system which is a Rectenna. The main purpose of energy conversion system is the operation of the circuits at RF-ID system. The proposed RF-ID system is a lot classified with the reader and tag. Reader is a kind of the base station role supporting RF energy. And priority tag convert RF energy from the reader it was delivered with a wireless to DC energy. The energy which is converted like Tag. It transmits to the reader characteristic ID of each card. The tag is mainly divided into rectifier, power module, memory and controller. The FRAM maintains the data like a ROM in no-power situation. And the advantage is a low power element compared with other EEPROM. There are two considerations, when RF energy is converted into DC source by wireless. One is energy amount supported from the reader, the other is high power efficiency. This paper presents a study of simulation and experiments on the RF-DC conversion circuit in tag by the power efficiency concentrated.

An evaluation of power conversion systems for land-based nuclear microreactors: Can aeroderivative engines facilitate near-term deployment?

  • Power conversion cycles (Subcritical Steam, Supercritical Steam, Open Air Brayton, Recuperated Air Brayton, Combined Cycle, Closed Brayton Supercritical CO2 (sCO2), and Stirling) are evaluated for land-based nuclear microreactors based on technical maturity, system efficiency, size, cost and maintainability, safety implications, and siting considerations. Based upon these criteria, Air Brayton systems were selected for further evaluation. A brief history of the development and applications of Brayton power systems is given, followed by a description of how these thermal-to-electrical energy conversion systems might be integrated with a nuclear microreactor. Modeling is performed for optimized cycles operating at 3 MW(e) with turbine inlet temperatures of 500 ℃, 650 ℃ and 850 ℃, corresponding to: a) sodium fast, b) molten salt or heat pipe, and c) helium or sodium thermal reactors, coupled with three types of Brayton power conversion units (PCUs): 1) simple open-cycle gas turbine, 2) recuperated open-cycle gas turbine, and 3) recuperated and intercooled open-cycle gas turbine. Aeroderivative turboshaft engines employing the simple Brayton cycle and two industrial gas turbine engines employing recuperated air Brayton cycles are also analyzed. These engines offer mature technology that can facilitate near-term deployment with a modest improvement in efficiency.

Growth, Feed Conversion Efficiency and Carcass Characteristics of Malpura and Malpura × Awassi Crossbred Lambs in a Hot Semi Arid Environment

  • The growth rate, feed conversion efficiency and carcass characteristics of nine native Malpura (M) and eight Awassi ${\times}$ Malpura half bred (AM) male lambs were compared under intensive feeding on 60:40 concentrate and roughage based composite feed. Weaning body weight was similar in the two genetic groups while finishing body weight, total body weight gain and average daily gain during the experiment were higher (p<0.01) in AM than M lambs. The feed conversion efficiency was lower in M than AM lambs with 15.7 and 19.8 per cent feed conversion efficiency, respectively, in the two genetic groups. The dressing yield in terms of preslaughter weight or empty live weight was however similar in the two genetic groups. The loin eye area was also greater (p<0.01) in AM than M lambs. The cutability was similar for the two groups amounting to 33.2, 13.3, 13.2, 23.3 and 16.6% of half carcass, respectively, for leg, loin, rack, neck and shoulder and breast and foreshank. On an average the separable lean, fat and KOH bone content of the half carcass were 48.3, 16.8 and 23.3% for native M and 54.1, 15.0 and 19.0% for AM lambs, respectively. It is concluded that growth rate and feed conversion efficiency were better in Awassi ${\times}$ Malpura half bred than native Malpura lambs while dressing yield and cutability of standard cuts were similar in the two genetic groups.

이중편파와 FSS를 적용한 정류안테나의 변환효율 분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Conversion Efficiency of Rectenna using Dual-Polarization and FSS Method)

  • 본 논문에서는 2뾰GHz 이중편파 정류안테나를 설계. 제작하고 제작된 정류안테나의 방향변화에 따른 마이크로파-DC 변환효율 특성과 FSS(Frequency Selective Surface)를 적용하여 정류안테나의 정류회로에서 발 생되는 고조파 성분(Harmonics)의 감소 특성을 분석하였다. 본 논문에서 설계. 제작된 각각의 이중편파 정류안테나의 마이크로파 DC 변환효율을 측정한 결과 다이폴 형태는 $360\Omega$의 부하일 때 69.1 %. 패치 형태는 $340\Omega$일 때 75.4 %의 최대 변환효율 특성을 나타내었다. 각 각 최적의 부하 저항을 가칠 때 $0~180^{\circ}$방향 변화에 따른 RF-DC 변환효율 변동특성은 다이폴 형태는 $\pm20%$, 패치 형태는 $\pm5%$를 나타내었다 FSS를 적용했을 때 통과대역에서의 손실은 1 dB이하, 차단대역에서의 감쇄는 20 dB 이상이 되었고‘ 정류안테나의 마이크로파-DC 변환효율은 $\pm2%$정도 변화되어 양호한 특성을 나타내었다.

의료기관평가의 유용성 증대를 위한 AHP와 DEA_AR 기반의 효율성 분석 모델 구축 (A Modeling of an efficiency analysis based on DEA_AR and AHP for the improvement of usefulness of the Accreditation of Hospitals)

  • 본 연구는 의료기관평가점수의 유용성을 높이기 위한 목적으로 수행되어 2004년부터 2008년까지 공시된 의료기관평가점수를 바탕으로 효율성지표를 이용해 환산지수를 추정하는 모형을 구축하였다. 의료기관평가영역별로 부여된 다양한 평가항목점수를 AHP를 통해 축약하고 이를 DEA_AR모형에 사용함으로써 추가적인 정보를 제공하는 유용한 예측모형을 구성할 수 있었다. 의료기관평가점수와 신임병원자료, 건강보험공단 자료를 연결해 분석 가능한 자료를 생성하고 DEA, 요인분석, 일반 선형모형을 이용해 환산지수, 효율성, 환산지수와 효율성을 결합하는 모형을 제시하였다. 개별 병원의 투입물과 산출물 뿐 만 아니라 의료기관평가점수, 종별구분, 지역별 분포 등이 환산지수의 영향변수로 파악되었다. 따라서 본 연구에서 제시된 AHP와 DEA_AR을 기반으로 한 효율성지표를 사용해 환산지수를 구하고 이를 수가계약에 활용함으로써 보건의료에 기여할 것으로 판단된다.
