  • In order to improve the efficiency of the branch-and-bound method for mixed-discrete nonlinear programming, a nonuniform convergence tolerance scheme is proposed for the continuous subproblem optimizations. The suggested scheme assigns the convergence tolerances for each continuous subproblem optimization according to the maximum constraint violation obtained from the first iteration of each subproblem optimization in order to reduce the total number of function evaluations needed to reach the discrete optimal solution. The proposed tolerance scheme is integrated with five branching order options. The comparative performance test results using the ten combinations of the five branching orders and two convergence tolerance schemes show that the suggested non-uniform convergence tolerance scheme is obviously superior to the uniform one. The results also show that the branching order option using the minimum clearance difference method performed best among the five branching order options. Therefore, we recommend using the "minimum clearance difference method" for branching and the "non-uniform convergence tolerance scheme" for solving discrete optimization problems.

  • Adding a noise tolerance factor to the Relaxation learning algorithm in Hop-field network improves noise tolerance without effecting storage capacity. The new algorithm is called the Pseudo-Relaxation algorithm, and the convergence of the algorithm has been proved. It is also shown that the noise tolerance factor does not effect learning speed.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the degree of dating violence experience, violence tolerance, and social problem solving ability of nursing college students and to investigate the relationship between them. 219 college students from nursing in 5 universities of Chungcheong region were convenience selected for the study. Data were collected through self-report questionnaires. Data were analyzed by t-test, ${\chi}^2$ test and Partial correlation coefficients using the SPSS 20.0 program. As a result, nursing college student's the more experience dating violence, the higher the tolerance for dating violence(r=0.31, p<.001), the higher the tolerance of dating violence is, the more negative the ability to solve social problems(r=-0.26, p<.001), and the degree of their departmental satisfaction and drinking are related to the violence of dating violence. Therefore, it provided a rational basis for the establishment of a dating violence preventive education and training program to raise awareness of dating violence tolerance and social problem solving abilities in order to prevent dating violence.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of academic stress on academic burnout, the role of academic failure tolerance, and interpersonal stress among college students. The data were collected from 345 undergraduate students from a university in Seoul and were analyzed with a regression analysis and bootstrapping. The results found that first, academic stress affected academic burnout; the more academic stress, the more burnout students experienced. Second, academic stress caused a decreased academic failure tolerance, which then resulted in academic burnout. Third, the mediating effect of the academic failure tolerance on the academic stress and academic burnout was controlled by an interpersonal stress. The present study has significant implications for investigating how the students' personal and social aspects of stress affect academic burnout and suggests appropriate intervention methods.

  • The FEM is a computer-aided mathematical technique for obtaining approximate solution to the differential equations. The pointwise convergence defines the relationship between the mesh size and the tolerance. This will play an important role in improving quality of finite element approximate solution. In the paper. We evaluate the convergence on a certain unknown point with a 1-irregular mesh refinement and spectral order enrichment. This means that the degree of freedom is minimized within a tolerance.

  • Toll-like receptors (TLR) 7 and 9 transduce a cellular signal through the MyD88-dependent pathway and induce the production of inflammatory mediators against microbial nucleotide components. The repeated stimulation of TLR4 leads to endotoxin tolerance, but the molecular mechanisms of tolerance induced through the costimulation of individual TLR has not yet been established, although endosomal TLRs share signaling pathways with TLR4. In the present study, mouse macrophages were simultaneously stimulated with the TLR7 agonist, gardiquimod (GDQ), and the TLR9 agonist, CpG ODN 1826, to examine the mechanism and effector functions of macrophage tolerance. Compared with individual stimulation, the costimulation of both TLRs reduced the secretion of TNF-${\alpha}$ and IL-6 through the delayed activation of the NF-${\kappa}B$ pathway; notably, IL-10 remained unchanged in costimulated macrophages. This tolerance reflected the early induction of suppressor of cytokine signaling-1 (SOCS-1), according to the detection of elevated TNF-${\alpha}$ secretion and restored NF-${\kappa}B$ signaling in response to the siRNA-mediated abrogation of SOCS-1 signaling. In addition, the restimulation of each TLRs using the same ligand significantly reduced the expression of both TLRs in endosomes. These findings revealed that the costimulation of TLR7 and TLR9 induced macrophage tolerance via SOCS-1, and the restimulation of each receptor or both TLR7 and TLR9 downregulated TLR expression through a negative feedback mechanisms that protects the host from excessive inflammatory responses. Moreover, the insufficient and impaired immune response in chronic viral infection might also reflect the repeated and simultaneous stimulation of those endosomal TLRs.

  • This paper proposes a fault tolerant and high efficiency operation algorithm for a 4 LEG DC/DC converter for a battery energy storage system(BESS) forming a main power source in a standalone DC micro grid. The BESS for the main power supply in the stand-alone DC micro-grid is required to operate at high speed according to fault tolerant control and load by operating at all times. Fault-tolerance control changes the short-circuit fault to an open-circuit fault by using a fuse in case of leg fault in 4 legs, and operates stably through phase shift control. In addition, considering the loss of the power semiconductor, the number of LEG operation is adjusted to operate at high efficiency in the full load region. In this paper, fault tolerant control and high efficiency operation algorithm of DC/DC converter for BESS in standalone DC micro grid is presented and it is proved through simulation and experiment.

  • The cyber attacks on the computer system in nowadays are focused on works that do not operate specific application. The main key point that we protect information security system has an access control to keep an application. Most of system has a main function to protect an infrastructure such as hardware, network and operating system. In this paper, we have presented an intrusion tolerance system that can service an application in spite of cyber attacks. The proposed system is based on the middle ware integrating security mechanism and separate function of application and intrusion tolerance. The main factor we use security system in nowadays is service to keep a persistency. The proposed intrusion tolerance system is applicable to such as medical, national defense and banking system.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the level and related factors of dating violence tolerance and dating violence recognition. 365 self-reported survey was collected from students in B university in Chungcheongnam-do. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, and Pearson's correlation using SPSS 22.0 program. It was found that the level of college students' dating violence tolerance was low and the level of dating violence recognition was high. There was no significant relationships between the factors related demographic, dating, sexual violence education related characteristics and dating violence tolerance and dating violence recognition. However, the levels of dating violence tolerance and dating violence recognition were significantly related. Based on these results, implications for dating violence prevention and intervention and the directions for future research in this area were suggested.
