A Study on Management Strategies and Management Performance According to Organizational Culture Types in the Digital Economy Era (디지털 경제 시대의 조직문화 유형에 따른 경영전략 및 경영성과에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate how the management strategies and organizational culture required in the digital economy have an effect on business performance. It provided basic data on management strategies and organizational culture necessary to approach as a digital leading country. For data collection, a survey was conducted from March 1 to May 30, 2022 for companies located in J province and engaged in industries related to the digital economy. The survey was conducted online and non-face-to-face, and a total of 225 companies participated in the survey. For statistical analysis, frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis and reliability analysis, cluster analysis, independent sample t-test, and multiple regression analysis were performed. The research results are as follows. First, organizational culture was classified into high and low groups according to preference in innovation oriented, relationship oriented, task oriented, and hierarchical oriented. Second, the 4 types of organizational culture showed differences in prospectors strategy, analyzers strategy, defenders strategy, differentiation strategy, cost leadership strategy, financial performance, and non-financial performance according to preference. Third, management strategies affecting financial performance were found to be analyzers strategy, differentiation strategy, prospectors strategy, and cost leadership strategy. Fourth, management strategies affecting non-financial performance were found to be differentiation strategy, defenders strategy, analysis strategy, offensive strategy, cost leadership strategy, and focus strategy. Fifth, organizational culture affecting financial performance was found to be task oriented. Sixth, organizational culture affecting non-financial performance was found to be innovation oriented and relationship oriented. Through these studies, it is expected that the economy will be revitalized in the domestic market and a growth ecosystem that can take a new leap forward is created in the global market.

  • Domestic digital signage industry has been growing in line with the Internet and intelligent devices like smart phones. However, policies for digital signage need to be supplemented because existing policies are only focused on regulations for outdoor advertisements. Moreover, while digital technologies have been developed, there are few contents technologies to support the digital technologies. In this context, this research aims to identify the problems in relation to the domestic digital signage industry and seek for measures to solve the problems. Various case studies and literature review were conducted to identify problems in terms of policy, technology and service, and measures for revitalizing the digital signage industry were suggested. The research is expected to help digital signage to serve as new convergence media available for customization targeting and user participation.

A Study of Environment Analysis Method for Information Strategy Planning based Scenarios (시나리오 기반의 정보화전략 계획 수립을 위한 환경 분석 방법 연구)

  • This paper, which was performed for an environmental analysis step in the information strategy planning, proposes the capable method of building a foundation which can improve the quality of results. An existing environment analyzing method is composed with external environment analysis, internal capacity analysis and information direction deriving activity. At the first stage of environment analysis, with current state analysis, preparation of interview with major stakeholder of project, carrying out the interview, added the activities to gain initial direction of the information. Then it applied a key-questioning of convergence scenario-based analysis for external environment analysis and internal capacity analysis. Performing the external environment analysis and internal capacity analysis with analysis model, convergence application of scenario-based analysis model was enabled to verify information direction on the initial setting. The result was applied at actual project site and was enabled to perform the project quickly, and to improve the quality of project results.

Empirical Studies on the Conceptual Combination of Digital Convergence Products (컨버전스 제품의 인식 및 평가에 대한 실증적 연구 : 결합 개념 이론을 중심으로)

  • A wide variety of convergent digital products are emerging through the combination of multiple independent digital technologies. Digital convergence provides new revenue sources for businesses and new ways of satisfying individual needs of consumers. Despite its business and consumer implications, little research has addressed how people perceive or evaluate convergent products. This study aims at understanding how consumers interpret and evaluate convergent digital products by conducting two consecutive studies. Firstly, a survey was conducted to understand how people interpret convergent products in three ways suggested by the conceptual combination theory based in cognitive science. Secondly, an experiment was conducted to investigate the impact of combination strategies and product similarities on user evaluation of convergent products. Study results indicate that similarity of constituent products has a substantial effect on the interpretation of concept combination strategies. Moreover, combination strategy and product similarity were found to have substantial effects on user comprehension, perceived newness, and preferences for convergent products. This paper ends with an examination of the implications and limitations of the study results.

  • According to arriving convergence environment which can create new value-added converged between industry and ICT technology, It has made economic growth and improve the quality of life. However this convergence environment provide not only advantage but also various security problems resulting from generating converged security threats. For resolving this security problem, we need to approach to security problem in the integrated view not the fragmentary view which cover only technical approach. So This study developed security governance framework which can manage trustful security governance in multidimensional view which cover strategy, managerial/operational and technical view. Therefore this framework can construct trustful security management system which can help top management team to engage in security management directly and organizational member to perform security activities and have responsibility for themselves as suggesting single standard for security management.

  • In This paper we study the interrelationship between firm's strategies, MCS (Management Control System), and financial and non-financial performance. And also the objective of this study is to advance the understanding of mediating effect of management accountant on these relationships. This is a suggestion on the study of contemporary settings as little contingency work was carried out on balanced scorecard, target costing, life cycle costing, which come under the broad array of non-financial performance indicators. The result of this study finds that the higher the unpredictability of the business, the more necessary it is to secure a controller within the business. This strongly implies that the controllers must be the main subject of continued growth as they perform an active role within the overall management control process of performance indicator development, performance measurement, feedback, and reward, starting from the very beginning stages of the strategy development within the business.

  • It is no accident that Marks & Spencer lost the Chinese market. This paper will analyze the reasons why Marks & Spencer failed to expand the Chinese market from five aspects: market environment, strategy, market positioning, marketing strategy and site selection. Discuss the enlightenment that the case brings to the enterprise in terms of culture, strategy, positioning and marketing. As a result, we found that strategies for culture, strategy, positioning, and marketing play an important role in creating corporate management strategies and competitive advantage. The results of this study are likely to be used as a very important guideline on a practical level.

  • This study analyzed the relationship between the convergence performance in hospital. This study examined previous research and calculated centralized index using diagnosis related groups. In addition, multiple regression analysis was used based on LOS in order to understand the effect of focused strategy which quality of medical inpatient service. The centralized level was examined by analyzing national inpatient sample data using 'Internal Herfindahl-Hirshman index' This study is significant because it reviewed medical inpatient service quality by measuring hospital centralized level which has been rarely studied before Korea.

  • The study examined effects of psychological change of distribution environment upon commercial areas to investigate consumers' experience and theory and to suggest power of new management strategy for growth of retailers A The study investigated actual conditions of business transaction of hyper market by blind interview. In April, 2016, the author visited 6 manufacturers to do depth interview. The questionnaire between food manufacturers and hyper market investigated the Association of Food Industries in Korea, NH Nonghyup and large manufacturers in July 2012. Questionnaires of 25 companies were used after excluding questionnaire having poor and inadequate answers. The sales commission with large scaled distribution business decreased (0.3 ~ 0.7) to increase additional expenses such as number of salesmen, interior expenses and economic costs (0.7 ~ 40%). (source: Fair Trade Commission). Fair Trade Commission released types and notice of unfair trade of large scaled retail business based on monopoly regulation and fair trade (hereinafter called 'notice of large scaled retail) to prevent large scaled distribution business from doing unfair trade. The notice controled unfair trade at different position between large scaled distribution business and small vendors.

  • The purpose of this study is explore the changes of environment in terms of diffusion of EC and to present effective marketing strategies for Electronic Commerce Activation. This paper focuses on the customer management, Real-Time Responding, and market strategies in Electronic Commerce. EC(Electronic Commerce) that out of the evolution of Internet technology gets a corporation changes to survive in 21st century. So the corporation must set the strategy to fit a Internet focused society. This paper is focusing the analysing the difference between the e-marketing and traditional marketing and proposing the new strategical marketing mix. On the Electronic Commerce, the 6Cs of marketing - Contents, Community, Commerce, Connection, Communication, Customizing - are being played out quite differently than they normally are off-line. In conclusion, the change in Electronic Commerce environment results in (1) redefinition of customer group, (2) different marketing strategies to fit in Electronic Commerce environment, and (3) changes in customer management, promotion strategy, advertizing appeal.
