  • The convergence healthcare industry in Korea has been stalled due to conflicts between stakeholders as well as a supplier-centered industry structure. This situation is caused by the structural contradiction in which the Korean industry has a prolonged conflict structure among stakeholders due to a strong regulation and an institutional inertia from the viewpoint of the sociotechnical system. Therefore, it is necessary to identify new system management plan that enhances social acceptability such as laws, customs and ideas while reducing conflicts between stakeholders. In this study, mainly adapting the stakeholder-oriented autopoiesis and focusing on publicness of healthcare, we propose the rationale and direction for policy making to harmonize various systems within the convergence healthcare industry.

  • A novel diagnosis scheme PCADP(personalized computer aided diagnosis probability) is proposed to overcome the problems mentioned above. PCADP scheme is a personalized diagnosis method based on ontology and it makes the bio-data analysis just a 'process' in the Smart healthcare service system. In addition, we offer a semantics modeling of the smart healthcare ontology framework in order to describe smart healthcare data and service specifications as meaningful representations based on this PCADP. The PCADP scheme is a kind of statistical diagnosis method which has real-time processing, characteristics of flexible structure, easy monitoring of decision process, and continuous improvement.

  • The interest and importance of the convergence services for healthcare expand more and more as the average life expectancy increases. Convergence of ICT and healthcare technology unfold efficient and quick health services. Recently, healthcare services provide to clients with apps over web. On-demand wireless data broadcast supports any number of clients to access their desired data items dynamically by responding the needs for data items from the clients. In this paper, we propose an on-demand system to broadcast FHIR bundles for efficient healthcare services. We use time-parameterized replacing policy for renewing the bundle items on the wireless broadcast channel. The policy lets the on-demand broadcasting dynamic by controlling the time duration for the bundles to reside over the wireless channel. With simulation studies using an implemented testbed, we evaluate the performances of the proposed system in access time and tuning time. For evaluation, we compare the time-parameterized replacing policy of the proposed system with regular-number replacing policy. The proposed time-parameterized replacing policy shows shorter access time than the regular-number replacing policy because the policy responds more actively and dynamically to the change of the needs of the clients for FHIR bundles.

  • Big data analysis in healthcare research seems to be a necessary strategy for the convergence of sports science and technology in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The purpose of this study is to provide the basic review to secure the diversity of big data and healthcare convergence by discussing the concept, analysis method, and application examples of big data and by exploring the application. Text mining, data mining, opinion mining, process mining, cluster analysis, and social network analysis is currently used. Identifying high-risk factor for a certain condition, determining specific health determinants for diseases, monitoring bio signals, predicting diseases, providing training and treatments, and analyzing healthcare measurements would be possible via big data analysis. As a further work, the big data characteristics provide very appropriate basis to use promising software platforms for development of applications that can handle big data in healthcare and even more in sports science.

  • Business intelligence (BI) is a process for turning data into insights that inform an organization's strategic and tactical decisions. BI aims to give decision-makers the information they need to make better decisions Patient safety analysis, illness surveillance, and fraud identification are just a few healthcare decision-making processes that can be supported by data mining. Thus, the purpose of the current research is to outline the need if BI as an essential factor in the healthcare sector by reviewing various scholarly materials and the findings. The present author conducted one of the most famous qualitative literature approach which has been called as PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis) statement. The selecting criteria for eligible prior studies were estimated by whether studies are suitable for the current research, identifying they are peer-reviewed and issued by notable publishers between 2017 and 2022. According to the result based on the PRISMA analysis, BI plays a vital role in the healthcare sector and there are four business intelligence factors (Data, Analytic, Reporting, and Visualization) that will ensure that the healthcare sector provides the right healthcare services to the customers to be addressed in this section include; data, analytics, reporting, and visualization.

  • As IT technology develops recently, medical equipment used in hospitals is demanding high performance. However, since the user visits different hospitals depending on the user's situation, the medical information treated at the hospital is distributed among the hospitals. In this paper, we propose a model to efficiently integrate the health care information of the users stored in the hospital in order to collect the healthcare information of the users who visited the different hospitals. The proposed model synchronizes users' healthcare information collected from personal wearable devices to collect user - centered healthcare information. In addition, the proposed model performs integrity and validity check related to user's healthcare information in a database existing in a cloud environment in order to smoothly share data with the healthcare service center. In particular, the proposed model enables tree - based data processing to smoothly manage healthcare information collected from mobile platforms.

  • Recently, healthcare services are using cloud services to efficiently manage users' healthcare data. However, research to ensure the stability of the user's healthcare data processed in the cloud environment is insufficient. In this paper, we propose a partial random encryption scheme that efficiently encrypts healthcare data in a cloud environment. The proposed scheme generates two random keys (p, q) generated by the user to optimize for the hospital medical service and reflects them in public key and private key generation. The random key used in the proposed scheme improves the efficiency of user 's healthcare data processing by encrypting only part of the data without encrypting the whole data. As a result of the performance evaluation, the proposed method showed 21.6% lower than the existing method and 18.5% improved the user healthcare data processing time in the hospital.

  • The government and private companies are endeavoring to help the digital healthcare industry grow. This includes easing regulations on the big data industry such as the amendment of the Data 3 Act. Despite these efforts, however, there have been constant demands for the amendment of laws related to the medical field and for securing medical data transmissions. In this paper, the Data 3 Act of Korea and the legal system related to healthcare are examined. Then the legal, institutional, and technical aspects of the strategies are compared to understand the issues and implications. Based on this, a legal and institutional strategy suitable for the digital healthcare industry in Korea is suggested. Additionally, a direction to improve social perception along with technical measures such as safe de-identification processing and data transmission are also proposed. This study hopes to contribute to the spread of various convergent industries along with the digital healthcare industry.

  • In this study we aim to identify the core technologies that play central roles along with the peripheral technologies that contribute to the technology convergence in digital healthcare. A total of 376 korean-patents related to healthcare were gathered from 2011 to 2020, and a topic modeling technique and a network analysis were conducted on the collected data. Six major topics were derived through the topic modeling procedure which are "data collection", "signal measurement", "health management", "data transmission", "diagnostic treatment", and "measurement device". Each of the six topics were analyzed to depict relations among technologies, specify the convergence characteristics, and identify the core-technology through centrality analysis. The study illustrates the present status of digital healthcare technology development and the technological convergence in South Korea and is anticipated to help establish policies to foster healthcare industry.
