Mobile games have become one of the most important driving forces of the game industry. We focus on the continuous intention to use Chinese mobile games from the perspective of experiential marketing and network externalities. We integrate user experience, network externalities and flow theory into expectation confirmation model and explore the influencing factors of continuous usage intention of Chinese mobile game and propose a research model. Game experience, service experience, perceived enjoyment, social interaction, challenge, perceived number of users and perceived number of peers were employed as independent variables, while flow, perceived value and satisfaction as mediating variables and continuous intention as the dependent variable. After surveying 426 samples, the model is tested with structural equation model. The results reveal that perceived enjoyment significantly positively influences perceived value, flow, satisfaction, and continuous intention. The greater the enjoyment of the game, the greater the satisfaction of the game and the greater the willingness to use it continuously. Game experience has a significant direct effect on continuous intention, which indicates that a better game experience can retain more users. Service experience and perceive number of peers positively influence satisfaction. Another finding is that social interaction and perceived number of users positively influence perceived value and flow, which indicate that social attributes are critical roles for retaining users. Game challenge also positively influences flow. The proper level of challenge is more likely to cause users to enter the state of flow. Flow indirectly influences continuous usage intention through the satisfaction of the game, which indicates that satisfaction is driven by flow experience and further retaining users. Empirical results implied that mobile game companies need to focus on improving user experience, expectation satisfaction and extending network externalities to improve the continuous intention of using mobile game.
The concept of attachment between users and Information Systems; specifically on mobile devices was examined in this study. Furthermore, the moderating effect of users' past experience also was investigated. The empirical study was done involving 240 university students; to investigate the participants' perceived value, perceived enjoyment, attachment and also continuous usage of mobile devices. Additionally, participants' past experience was also enquired to examine its moderating effects. The results show that attachment is mediating both perceived value and perceived enjoyment with continuous usage. Meanwhile, past experience negatively moderates perceived enjoyment with attachment and also negatively moderates attachment with continuous usage.

Focusing upon the post-adoption stage of IS, this study reasoned that IS users' personality is one of major influencing factors of continuous IS usage intention and empirically examined how the degree of continuous IS usage intention is variable according to the IS users' personality types classified based on MBTI(Myers Briggs Type Indicator). In order to validate the research model and hypotheses, this study made a field survey of 330 IS users and statistically analysed response data. The results of empirical analyses showed that the intent of continuous IS usage was affected by self-efficacy of IS; and self-efficacy by self-leadership of IS; and self-leadership by IS user' personality type and expectation confirmation. That is, it was found that IS users' personality type and three intervening variables(expectation confirmation, self-leadership and self-efficacy) were significant predictors of the intent of continuous IS usage. This study is thought to be contributive to providing the theoretical basis of finding IS success factors in the post-adoption stage and the practical guideline for effective personnel management relevant to IS implementation.
Mobile Instant Messenser (MIM) Market With the market is enlarging and attracting more and more companies. With the market expanding and number of users increasing, the competition in this area will be fierce. In order to gain competitive advantage, it is important to develop a strategy to maximize user value and to grasp the continuous usage intention of users. However, there are currently not enough researches done in this field. Therefore, this paper to study the effects of network externalities and perceived experiential value on perceived usefulness, user satisfaction, and continuous usage intention. The research results showed that the perceived experiential value and vertical compatibility significantly affected user satisfaction, but the perceived network size did not. The perceived network size and vertical compatibility did not affect the perceived usefulness. Also, the economic value, which is a sub-factor of the perceived experiential value, did not affect the perceived usefulness, but the functional value and hedonic value did significantly. The perceived network size significantly affected continuance usage intention, but the perceived network compatibility did not.

The increasing popularity of the Internet has led to the emergence of online service delivered by websites. Given large investments in these websites, it is important to retain existing customers in online service contexts. In order to understand how website information and system attributes may influence perceived usefulness of using the websites, customer satisfaction, and ultimate continuous usage behaviors, we develop a model to integrate user satisfaction with technology acceptance. Furthermore, this integration is sharpened through the synthesis with research on continuous usage of online service based on customer satisfaction. We then test the model using a sample of 236 respondents who have used one of the most popular Internet blog and community service in South Korea within the last three months. The analysis results suggest that website information and system attributes play key roles in forming continuous intention of the service and perceived playfulness serves as an important moderator toward customer satisfaction. Our model is more likely to help link website design and invesment decisions to the strategy for retaining existing customers in the context of online service.
Virtual community(VC) will increasingly be organized as commercial enterprises, with the objective of earning an attractive financial return by providing members with valuable resources and environment. For example, Cyworld.com in Korea uses several community services to enable customers of Cyworld to take control of their own value as potential purchasers of products and services. Although initial adoption is important for online network service success, it does not necessarily result in the desired managerial performance unless the initial usage is continuously related to the continuous usage and purchase. Particularly, the customer who receives relevant online services and is well equipped with online network services, will trust the online service provider and perceive less risk and experience more activities such as continuous usage and purchase. Thus, how to promote continued online service usage or, alternatively, how to prevent discontinuance is a critical issue for VC service providers to consider. By aggregating a wide range of information and online environments for customers and providing trust to its members, the service providers of virtual communities help to reduce the perceived risk of continuous usage and purchase. Drill down, online service managers realize that achieving strong and sustained customers who continuously use online service and purchase on it is crucial. Therefore, the research into this online service continuance will identify the relationship between the initial usage and the continuous usage and purchase. The research of continuous usage or post adoption has recently emerged as an important issue in the IS literature. Individuals' information systems(IS) continuous usage decisions are congruent with consumers' repeat purchase decisions. The TAM(Technology Acceptance Model) paradigm has been strongly confirmed across a wide range from product purchase on EC to online service usage contexts. The analysis of IS usage based on TAM has proven to be successful across almost online service contexts. However, most of previous studies have focused on only an area (i.e., VC or EC). Just little research has tried to analyze the relationship between VC and EC. The effect of some factors on user intention, captured through several theories such as TAM, has been demonstrated. Yet, few studies have explored the salient relationships of VC users' EC acceptance. To fill this gap between VC and EC research, this paper attempts to develop a research model that extends the TAM perspective in view of the additional contributions of trust in the service provider and trust in members on some factors that affect EC and VC adoption. In this extension, we applied the TAM-to-TAM(T2T) model, and analyzed the transfer effect of trust between these two TAMs. The research model was empirically tested on the context of a social network service. The model was to extend TAM with the trust concept for the virtual community environment from the perspective of tasks. By building an extended model of TAM and examining the relationships between trust and the existing variables of TAM, it is aimed to explain a user's continuous intention to use VC and purchase on EC. The unit of analysis in this paper is an individual user of a virtual community. The population of interest is the individual with the experiences in virtual community. The data for this paper was made available via a Web survey of VC users. In total, 281 cases were gathered for about one week, but there were some missing values in the sample and there were some inappropriate cases. Thus, only 248 cases were finally analyzed. We chose the structural equation analysis to test the hypotheses and it is better suited for explaining complex relationships than the other methods. In this test, AMOS was used to test the Structural Equation Model (SEM). Noticeable results have been found in the T2T model regarding the factors affecting the intention to use of virtual community and loyalty. Our result showed that trust transfer plays a key role in forming the two adoption beliefs. Overall, this study preliminarily confirms the salience of trust transfer in online service.
As the mobile content industry is growing, mobile health (m-health) market is expanding based on various contents. It has developed in the way of utilizing health contents through mobile device such as smart phone among young people. This study aims to examine the usage of m-health application and factors of continuous usage among students in Seoul National University. The result is expected to provide a foundation for future health promotion programs utilizing m-health. The study analyzes the difference of application usage tendency based on demographic characteristic and the continuous usage, and compared the level of knowledge, attitude, belief, and practice (KABP) of mobile health application. 28% of the total sample population uses the application continuously, and their KABP level was higher than that of users that stopped using. This study goes beyond the previous studies of service satisfaction and acceptance analysis on the marketing level, and is meaningful in that it has analyzed the m-health application usage from the public health point of view.
Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) is online education that anyone can register for free and has internet access. MOOC is also called Education Revolution and is spreading rapidly all over the world. Although recent MOOC high-quality classes may enhance the value of MOOC, MOOC learning still needs much research. Since MOOC has low learning completion rate and continuous use rate, various studies on the reasons that learners give up at the beginning of learning have not been tried yet This research is studied for the continuous intention of use of MOOC applying self-determination theory and learning flow theory based on technology acceptance model. In particular, the research are conducted for cultural difference in continuous usage of MOOC between Korean and Chinese. The research results show that self-determination theory applying perceived autonomy, perceived competence, and perceived relatedness and learning flow is useful to explain continuous use of MOOC. The research also shows that Hofstede theory works well in explaining the cultural difference between Korea and China in continuous usage of MOOC. The result shows that korean is more influenced by perceived external motivation like perceived usefulness and chinese is more influenced by internal motivation like learning flow in continuous use of MOOC.
Purpose: Present study was designed to examine the casual relationships among service quality, self-efficacy, perceived usefulness, user satisfaction and Continuous Usage in new technology-based banking system. Also, we intended to testify the moderating effects of user experience period in causal model. We applied path analysis model in order to test the hypotheses and research model. Methods: Survey tool, that is, questionnaire has obtained validity through literature survey, exploratory survey and pretest and sample 279 was selected. For statistical treatment of pretest and main analysis, SPSS20.0 and AMOS 20.0 were employed and structural equation model was employed as analysis method. Results: Result of this study shows as follows. All factors have an effect on user satisfaction and Continuous Usage, and we found that user experience period played moderating effect in causal relationship. Therefore, new technology-based banking system is found that the determinants of continuous usage intention is different according to the user experience period. Conclusion: Present study shows that self-efficacy in via of user experience period, there is a need to emphasize that the main consideration factor new technology-based banking system. However, present study has some limitations to additionally research in the future.
Entering aging society and increasing individual's interests on wellbeing lead to increasing demands of healthcare service and various healthcare related applications are providedon app market or Internet. These healthcare services could enhance user's health status if the users continuously use the service. In order to enhance effectiveness of a healthcare service, the service user should comply with recommendations or directions are provided by the service. However, previous studies of healthcare service are not considered effects of compliance intention on continuous usage. Hence, we tested how user's compliance intention effect on continuous usage intention of healthcare service based on theories of information system and medical information. Moreover, we found that compliance intention of users for healthcare service is an important factor on sustainability of healthcare service. Additionally, we investigated what factors are related with user's compliance intention.
