조건부 가치측정법을 이용한 사용자 경험 디자인 가치평가 모델의 탐색 잠금해제 인터페이스를 중심으로 (Exploration of Economic Valuation Model for the UX Design using the Contingent Valuation Method - Focusing on the Screen Unlock Interfaces)

  • 본 연구는 사용자 경험(UX)에 대한 경제적 가치 평가 모델을 탐색하고 적용하는 것을 목적으로 수행되었다. 스마트폰 잠금해제 UX를 대상으로 터치형, 지문인식, 홍채인식에 대해 조건부 가치측정법(contingent valuation method, CVM)을 적용하였다. 경제적 가치를 산출하기 위한 가치추정법 중에서 조건부 가치측정법을 선택한 이유는 잠금해제와 같은 인터페이스 요소들은 스마트폰을 이용할 때 중요한 사용자 경험적 가치이지만 시장에서 별개로 거래되지 않는 비 시장 재화이기 때문이다. 스마트폰 잠금해제를 조건부 가치측정법 중 이중 양분선택형 방식(double-bounded dichotomous choice)으로 설문조사하여 로짓 모형으로 분석한 결과 터치형 잠금해제 인터페이스는 529원, 지문인식 잠금해제는 4,214원, 홍채인식 잠금해제는 1,376원으로 경제적 가치가 나타났다. 즉, 지문인식 잠금해제가 가장 높은 경제적 가치를 나타냈으며, 그 다음으로 홍채인식, 터치형 순이었다. 이 연구의 주요 기여점은 UX 디자인에 대해 경제적 가치를 평가하는 방법론적 시도를 수행하였고, 체계적이고 신뢰도 있는 결과를 산출하였다는 점이다.

조건부가치측정법(Contingent Valuation Methods)을 적용한 공공도서관 가치의 비교 연구: 지불수단을 중심으로 (The Comparative Study of Public Library Valuation Using CVM: Case of the Payment Vehicles)

  • 본 연구는 도서관의 가치측정에 일반적으로 사용하고 있는 CVM(Contingent Valuation Method) 설계 시 필요한 지불수단이 가치금액에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위해 수행되었다. CVM은 가상의 상황, 질문 유형, 지불 수단 등 다양한 세부적인 설계에 따라 측정값의 편의가 발생하기 때문에 이에 대한 검증이 요구되는데 특히, 지불수단은 해당 재화의 가치를 표현하는 메카니즘으로 가치에 큰 영향을 미친다. 이에 세금, 기부금, 이용요금이라는 세 가지 유형의 지불수단으로 동일한 공공도서관의 이용가치를 측정하였다. 측정 결과, 기부금은 개인이 월 14,542.3원을 지불할 의향을 보여 가장 높은 가치를 나타냈고 세금은 8,577.5원 지불의향이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이용요금은 1회 방문에 1,612.7원을 지불할 의향이 있어 가장 낮게 측정되었으나 이를 월 단위로 할 경우 세금과 유사한 수준으로 나타났다.

조건부가치측정모형의 최소절대편차추정 (The Least Absolute Deviations Estimation of the Contingent Valuation Model)

  • This paper introduces the least absolute deviations estimation of the contingent valuation model, which corresponds to the semi-parametric estimation of discrete choice models by Manski (1975, 1985) and Lee (1992). The least absolute deviations estimation is more robust to mis-specified distributional assumptions in the estimation of the contingent valuation model, compared to the maximum likelihood estimation. The full identification and strong consistency of the estimation are proved and its application to different formats of contingent valuation survey data is discussed. Simulation studies are designed to evaluate its operational characteristics including computational strategies, small sample properties and the efficiency gain of a follow-up question. The bias and efficiency of least absolute deviations and maximum likelihood estimation are compared in the presence of heteroskedasticity.

CVM에 의한 농촌환경개선사업의 경제적 가치평가 (Estimating the Economic Valuation of Rural Environmental Improvement Using Contingent Valuation Method)

  • The purpose of this study is to estimate the economic valuation of rural waste disposal facilities that are one of the rural environmental improvement projects using contingent valuation method(CVM) in Gyongsangbuk-do, Korea. This study surveyed 1,089 households about the WTP(Willing To Pay) of rural waste disposal facilities policy in Gyongsangbuk-do and it was composed with city level and town level. The overall results show that the respondents well accepted the contingent market and would be willing to pay(WTP) a significant amount for the proposed policy program of rural waste disposal facilities. The values estimated for the rural waste disposal facilities are as follows : 1. The maximum WTP was \10,466 in City level and it was \9,104 in town level by per year. 2. The mean WTP was \9,257 in City revel and it was \8,636 in town lever by per year. 3. Total economic benefits for the household amounted to \7,989,046,270 per year. This result can be used to useful base data fir the policy programs of rural waste disposal facilities.

  • The purpose of this paper is to introduce and test an extension of dichotomous choice contingent valuation(DC-CV) methods of pre-test-market evaluation using the specific case of a cable telev-ision service. Specifically we used a double-bounded DC-CV approach. On the whole respondents accepted the contingent market and were willing to contribute a significant amount on average. This willingness varies according to individual characteristics and concerns about the service. It is concluded that the methods are potentially a useful tool for decision-makers in measuring the po-tential demand for a new cable television service and considering the provision of the service.

  • The purpose of this study is to estimate the attractiveness value according to the preference level on architectural aesthetic. This research starts from the concept that aesthetic is phenomenon and from the viewpoint of 'attraction value' which affects goods. Interactive internet surveys were conducted for 500 citizens of Seoul metropolitan city who are potential users of the Nodle Islet Cultural Center. Based on the scenarios and questionnaires with fuzzy models, we have examined the evaluation of architectural aesthetic and monetary willing-to-payment, and estimated the economic value by preference level of architectural aesthetic through linear regression analysis. The main results of the study are as follows: First, the economic value of the Nodle Islet Cultural Center was estimated at ?15,683.43/person. Residents of Seoul metropolitan city were willing to accept the increase in the above-mentioned amount of the facility fares when their preferred works (average 86.81 points) were constructed. (P <0/05) Second, it is confirmed that the economic value increases dramatically as the preference level of architectural aesthetic increases. Third, it is presumed that the infinite valuation of architectural aesthetic and the problem of free riding coexist in the estimation of economic valuation of architectural aesthetic for public buildings. Fourth, by mixing the fuzzy logic with contingent valuation method, starting point bias and no response biases that happened in contingent valuation could be disappeared. bias elimination must be considered seriously because another bias could be happened in full process of the research. The results of this study will serve as a basis for spreading architectural aesthetic value-oriented research from the vague and obscure aesthetic-centered discussion on the existing architectural aesthetic. In addition, it will be an opportunity to draw institutional application and utilization strategy of architectural aesthetic through architectural aesthetic value research.

Economic Valuation Methods of Biodiversity

  • The valuation of biodiversity is a fundamental step in conservation. The useful framework for analysing the economic value of biological resources is that of total economic value (TEV) and TEV comprises both use and non-use values, the former related to an actual use made of the resource, the latter to a willingness to pay for the resource independently of any use made of it. There are several valuation approacher in environmental economics literature. However, stated preference approach should be introduced for valuation of biodiversity because it can estimate non-use value as well as use value. Contingent Valuation and Conjoint Analysis are representative methods in stated preference and Conjoint Analysis can be more useful for valuation of biodiversity. Futhermore, the combination of ecology and economics to assess biodiversity leads to an integrated framework. Thus, interdisciplinary work is required, involving both economists and ecologists transferring elements or even theories and models from one discipline to another and transforming them for their specific, mutually consistent purpose.

어메니티요소를 활용한 백사장 가치평가의 기초적 연구 (A Basic Study on the Estimating the Value of Sand Beach using amenities)

  • 우리나라의 동해안에 위치한 백사장은 경치가 수려하고, 레져를 즐기기에 좋은 양질의 모래로 이루어져 있으며 백사청송으로 알려져 있기 때문에 매우 중요한 관광경제자원이라 할 수 있다. 뿐만 아니라, 해안의 자연환경 유지기능 및 높은 파도로부터 해안주변을 보호해주는 방재기능까지도 보유하고 있는 귀중한 재산이다. 이와 같은 해안 백사장의 가치평가방법으로는 여행자비용법(Travel Cost Method)과 조건부가치평가법(Contingent Valuation Method)이 대표적으로 사용되고 있으나, 이용가치와 비이용가치를 동시에 평가하기위해서는 후자의 방법이 보다 유리하다고 할 수 있다. 그러나 조건부가치평가법(CVM)을 대상 해안의 백사장에 적용하기 위해서는 앙케이트 설문 및 회답에서 나타날 수 있는 바이어스(Bias)영향에 대한 면밀한 검증이 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 조건부가치평가법(Contingent Valuation Method)등을 통해 앙케이트설문 조사시 바이어스 영향을 줄여주기 위해 설문자에게 제시할 수 있는 일차적인 친수환경(Amenity)특성 검토방법을 소개하고, 동해안에 위치한 대표적인 백사장들을 대상으로 하여 다양한 평가인자를 이용하여 친수환경(Amenity)특성을 비교, 검토하였다.

조건부가치측정법을 이용한 부산시 상수도 수질개선에 대한 WTP 추정 (Estimating willingness-to-pay for the tap water quality improvement in Busan using contingent valuation method)

  • The paper is to estimate willingness-to-pay (WTP) for tap water quality improvement in Busan, using parametric approach in contingent valuation method(CVM). For parametric approach linear logit model and log logit model are employed in double-bounded dichotomous choice format of CVM. For the reliability and the validity of contingent valuation method a survey was conducted for 665 respondents, who were sampled by stratified random sampling method, by personal interview method. The result of mean WTP for the tap water quality improvement in Busan was estimated to be 3,687 won and 3,660 won per month per household, while median WTP being 1,884 won and 1,892 won per month per household, respectively by linear logit model and log logit model. Provided that our sample is broadly representative of the Busan's population, an estimate of the annual aggregated benefit of residential water improvement for all Busan households is approximately 29.7 billion won to 29.8 billion won based on median WTP.
