컨테이너 터미널의 자원관리를 위한 정보시스템의 분석 및 설계에 관한 연구 (A Study on Analysis and Design Method for Resource Management Information System in Container Terminal)

  • An SADT-based methodology is presented for systematically analyzing the container working process in container terminal, as well as an object-oriented design method for an integrated information system for container terminal resource planning and management. Our design architecture is composed of four levels, activity interface, activity PDCA control, human resource management, and facility resource management. Especially, the consideration of the human resource management level makes it possible to support cooperative tasks, to make the authority and responsibility on a task clear, and to extremely promote the balance between human and facility resources. Finally, The system architecture is suggested for Virtual Container Terminal, in which a planned container working process is simulated for previous feasibility check, work orders are transferred to control real devices, and to manage the entire process and related data.

  • 본 논문은 유비쿼터스의 핵심 기술로 대두되고 있는 RFID를 이용한 항만 컨테이너 관리시스템을 개발하는데 목적을 둔다. 본 시스템은 컨테이너 자동식별을 위해 RFID 기술을 활용한 항만 게이트 자동화기술과 게이트와의 통신 및 컨테이너의 입출고 처리를 위한 웹 프로그램 기술, 그리고 항만 네트워크 플랫폼과 클레인 단말을 위한 무선 임베디드 라우터 기술을 기반으로 설계 및 구현 되었다. RFID를 이용하여 개발된 본 시스템은 향후 지능형 항만을 향한 항만 물류 관리 시스템의 주요소로 활용될 것으로 기대된다.

컨테이너 터미널 장비의 RAM 향상을 위한 관리 시스템 (Management System for Improving RAM of Equipment in Container Terminals)

  • Equipments in container terminal have a lot of parts, and an equipment breakdown affects the productivity of terminal. In this paper, we develop a maintenance management system for improving reliability, availability and maintainability of equipments in container terminals. The developed system consists of five modules : equipment structure module, equipment operation management module, maintenance control module, spare part control module and data analysis module. The system supports reliability engineers to manage and improve RAM of equipments in container terminals. For example, FMEA, failure state analysis and life distribution parameters estimation are easily or automatically done by the system. This system also provides optimal preventive maintenance intervals by simulation and optimal yearly PM schedules for equipments in container terminal are recommended.

  • Approximately 95% of the world's trade moves by containers, primarily on large ships, but also on trains, trucks, and barges. The system is efficient and economical, but vulnerable. However, the rise of terrorism and the possibility that a container could be used to transport or actually be the delivery vehicle for weapons of mass destruction or high explosives have made it imperative that the security of shipping container system be greatly improved. This study proposed a trend of container security and its Countermeasures.

  • As the competition among the ports is extreme, the purpose of this study which intendsto keep sustainable competitive advantage in Busan Container Terminals through the quality management of port service is shown as the followings. First, the common factor of quality management activities In the part of domestic container port is to be analysed. secondly, the efforts for enhancing the standard of quality management is to be confirmed lastly the relationship of cause-effect among the source of quality management, quality management activities and quality management is to be clarified. An empirical study was carried out to examine how Busan Container Terminals view quality management activities by the provision of statistical evidence showing the efforts to enhance the standard of quality management, common factors of quality management activities and causal relationship among these factors. The data investigating the quality management for Busan Container Terminals were collected from 170 persons in charge of quality management for port services in Busan Container Terminals the use of questionnaire method and personal interviews. The Cronbach's $\alpha$ coefficient and factor analysis were used to analyze the reliability and the propriety of measured variables. Furthermore SEM method using AMOS 4.0 was used to analyze the cause-effect relationship among the source. activities and accomplishments of quality management representing the core concept of quality management system. The importance of this study is placed in the description of the theoretical and general system on the quality management when the domestic container terminals have activated to promote the quality management, and in suggesting the actual problem and settlement method which are directly helpful to the field, and It can be indicated as having its meaning on future research obect.

For the efficient and automated management of container in terminal, the automated container identifier recognition system in terminal is a significant problem. However, the identifier recognition rate is decreased owing to the difficulty of image preprocessing caused the refraction of container surface, the change of weather and the damaged identifier characters. Therefore, this paper proposes more accurate system for container identifier recognition as suggestion of Line-Scan Proper Region Detect for stronger preprocessing against external noisy element and Moment Back-Propagation Neural Network to recognize identifier.

  • Recently the container volume in the global trade is steadily increasing. In an effort to cope with this trend, major ports of the world are stepping up the introduction of high-tech equipments, trying to establish a highly efficient information system, and improving the internal work processes of their container terminals. For speedy and effective cargo handling, they are making every effort in the diverse fields. The purpose of this study aims at developing an intelligent multi-agent system for the gate work of a container terminal, which is the place of authority transfer in a container terminal. The agent system suggested in this study has made a comparison between COPINO information by TOS (Terminal Operating System) and information on containers and trucks recognized at the gate passage, checking up their efficiency, and performing the function of controlling outside truck's input-output. Also, based on the records of outside truck's gate passage, some gates can be operated flexibly, consequently enhancing the efficiency of the gate function. The results of job performance will immediately be notified to the customers and terminal managers, thus helping them make decisions speedily.

  • In this study, we propose an RFID based container terminal operation process. Field tests are conducted for 900 MHz (truck identification) tag and 433 MHz RFID (container identification/e-seal) tag at an Incheon container terminal to verify possibility of applying RFID in the container terminal gate. To evaluate effect of applying RFID in the container terminal operation, simulation models for current and RFID based container terminals are developed using ARENA. Simulations are carried out using industrial field data and the result indicates that performance of the container terminal can be prominently improved after RFID application.

  • 위성 통신 기술의 발달로 국부적으로 수행되던 위치 추적의 범위가 전 세계로 확산되었다. 하지만 기존의 물류 관제 시스템들은 관제 서버와 물류간의 통신을 위하여 휴대폰 통신망을 이용하기 때문에 일부 지역 내에서 이동하는 물류에 대해서만 관제가 가능하다. 이 논문에서는 위성 통신을 이용하여 전 세계를 이동하는 물류 매체인 냉동 컨테이너의 위치 및 상태 정보를 관리하기 위한 시스템을 제안하였다. 제안 시스템은 냉동 컨테이너의 상태를 직접 관제하는 데이터 수집부, 관제 서버와의 통신을 담당하는 위성 통신부, 냉동 컨테이너 정보를 관리하는 관제부로 구성된다. 시스템의 관제부에서는 냉동 컨테이너의 위치 추적 및 관제를 효과적으로 수행하기 위하여 기존의 TB 트리를 기반으로 하는 다중 버전 이동 객체 색인을 사용하였다. 제안된 냉동 컨테이너 관제시스템은 화주, 운송회사 등 육해상 물류관련 기관에서 냉동컨테이너 및 선박 위치추적, 컨테이너 통제, 컨테이너 통계 등 다양한 용도로 사용될 수 있어 화주에게는 컨테이너 운송에 대한 서비스를 제공하며, 선사에게는 선박안전경보시스템, 선박 관리, 냉동컨테이너를 효율적인 관리 기능을 제공하게 한다.
